The Sky Garden a rooftop in the City district


 

Located on the 35th, 36th and 37th floors of the 20 Fenchurch Street skyscraper, the Sky Garden is a “roof garden” considered to be the tallest public garden in London.

From its 160 m high terrace, you can see the cruiser HMS Belfast Tower of London, Tower Bridge or the shard.

Access to the Skygarden is free but subject to a reservation to be made directly on the site at least 3 weeks before your visit.


Once there you can stay as long as you want, although half an hour is more than enough.

Fen Court Garden, the largest rooftop garden in London

 

Open on February 15, 2019, Fen Court Garden is the last rooftop open in London. At just 69 m high, it offers a breathtaking and direct view of the Walkie-Talkie, Lloyd's Building, the Scalpel and the Gherkin.

Its 2800 m2 terrace decorated with fruit trees, wisteria, ponds, is a peaceful place where you can contemplate London in 360 degrees.

Access to this magnificent rooftop is free and without reservation.

The rooftop at the Tate Modern

 

La Tate Modern is a museum of modern art located in a former power station built in the 40s. The museum has two panoramic terraces located on the 3rd and 6th floor from which one has a beautiful view of the London skyline.
On a clear day you can also see Wembley Stadium.

No prior reservation to access the panoramic terrace of the museum, entry of which is free.

The rooftop of the One New Change shopping center

 

This rooftop open 7 days a week is located in the One Change shopping center, a temple of shopping designed by the famous French architect Jean Nouvel.
Take the glass elevator to the 6th floor and experience the superb view of the st paul's cathedral.

On the roof, there is also the Madison restaurant and bar, ideal for resting and contemplating London! Access to the rooftop is free and no consumption is compulsory.

Regularly free activities are organized such as yoga classes or screenings of the Wimbledon tournament.

London's Living Room: the rooftop of London City Hall

 

Located on the 9th floor of the town hall, this rooftop is only open to the public one weekend a year as part of the festival Open house london, the equivalent of Heritage Day.

The panoramic balcony offers a direct view of Tower Bridge, the cruiser HMS Belfast, the Tower of London and the buildings of the business district of the City.
