User FAQs

Visitors can expect to find a secret and magical place with over a hundred hectares of mixed woodland, two lakes, seven miles of peaceful woodland walks, and a spectacular waterfall on the River Llan. The site also has a Victorian estate with over five hundred years of Welsh history.

The site is managed by a Trust that has spent the last twenty years restoring and conserving the unique family-oriented visitor attraction. They have established a community-run coffee shop and car park to support the restoration program.

Visitors can participate in Easter Fun and Crafts for ages 1-7 years, as well as a Welsh cultural event called The Dragon of Penllergare. There are also opportunities to engage with nature as part of a project funded by the UK Government.

There is a newly added café with stunning views, serving wonderful food and drinks. Restrooms are available next to the café on the top part of the woods. Parking is available for a fee, and there are plenty of places for dogs to cool off in the streams.

Visitors have described the site as absolutely breathtaking, with stunning scenery at every turn. They have praised the new café, the beautiful walk with lots of history, and the dog-friendly environment. Overall, visitors have had a positive and enjoyable experience at the site.
