4worldlovers: “Copper Jack” developed a problem which meant we were unable to sail from the middle of May 2023.
We are hopeful of having this resolved by 2nd June and will be sailing again from Saturday 3rd June.
Although we cannot guarantee we will be sailing from the 3rd, we are now open for new bookings. If for any reason we are unable to sail, any bookings that have been made will be fully refunded.
We appreciate that this will disappoint many people who have trips planned/booked, but passenger safety and comfort is paramount.
On our gentle 90-minute boat trip, sit back and relax to discover Swansea’s historic, industrial heritage and how it became known as Copperopolis, while viewing the passing scenery and river bank wildlife.
Our boat, “Copper Jack” can carry up to 40 passengers for Public Sailings and is available to hire for celebrations, parties, corporate and group bookings as Private Charters.
A selection of coffees, teas, soft drinks, and snacks are available as well as a fully licensed bar to sell alcohol. Copper Jack is fully accessible with a wheelchair lift and accessible toilet.
As a Floating Classroom we welcome schools from around the area at hugely discounted prices for an enlightening educational experience.
If you enjoy live music, why not join us on one of our fabulous live music events in a venue that is unique to Swansea.
A 90-minute cruise on the River Tawe with our well stocked bar serving tea, coffees, soft and alcoholic beverages and snacks.

It was like a tardis unassuming on the outside but vast on the inside.. went on and on.. with bomb shelters, rooms of memorabilia and even a recreated high street...trenches too. My kids loved dressing up.. so much effort made by the owners. Great thing to do on a rainy morning

Information is clearly displayed and exhibits explained in a straightforward way, but also provide a depth of information if you want it. I came here with my mother - who is 86 and lived through WW2 in Swansea - and my best friend who, like me, grew up in Swansea. There is a lot to see and experience here, and we all learned a lot.

Will Treasure: I really like this gallery. It's in a great location just a short 10-15 minute walk from the train station I'm an old church. Check the website as the exhibition regularly changes, but each time I've been it's been high quality and very interesting work.There is also a shop, some stuff is cheap and others are expensive artworks in the hundreds of pounds as expected. I definitely recommend it if you're in the area!

Jonathan Roberts: One of the best parks in swansea. Park shop is great for ice cream and coffee.They have recently upgraded the children's play area too. Which now includes swings for all ages.
ROBERT HOPKINS: I always love visiting Brynmill Park. It was somewhere my parents used to take me when I was little and now I get the chance to take my 2 year old grand daughter there. She loves feeding the ducks and playing in the playground as well as generally just running around in the open spaces. The Kiosk by the lake sell a fab range of food and drinks at reasonable prices and you can even buy bird food for the ducks, swans and pigeons.

Loads of locals and dog walkers go here for walks and to chill out, plus there are a variety of specific gardens in the park such as the Oriental gardens and the botanical gardens. You can very easily spend a day here in good weather bird and wildlife watching ☺️Playground: There is no playground as the entire place is gardens and woods.Restrooms: There are public toilets in the middle of the park by the Swiss cottage.Dog-friendliness: Loads of people take their dogs for a walk here.Picnic area: There are numerous areas where you could have a picnic.

Simon Cooper: Swansea has no substantial inner city green spaces, however Parc Singleton, on the South Western edge, is a wonderfully peaceful park, with a mix of mature trees, botanical features, and rewilded areas.The university campus is set into the park, on its southern edge, otherwise it is bounded by urban dual carriageways, and busy roads. You really aren’t aware of this when in the heart of the park.
