Swansea Castle: what do users think?

Donna W: It's decent to have a look at if you're wandering past, but I wouldn't necessarily go out of your way to see it. It's the small ruins of the castle and a few information boards. You can't get inside the castle! Nice fountain near the castle though!

Cameron Carnegie: Nice castle in the town centre, can't go inside the castle, but it's a good place to stop and look at when on route to someplace else.Visited on Public holiday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …

Robert John Williams: Brought back memories. Ps good ones.Visited on Public holiday …

Hendris: This place is nice and all, but a man wearing a cloak with odd eldritch scribblings walked up to me and proceeded to decloth me in front of everyone. He then unsheathed his jagged, wrinkle-laden finger and proceeded to sound my urethra until a white sloshing froth emerged from it. Other than that pretty nifty place, might come back for the awesome seagulls!

1940s Swansea: what do users think?

Nicholas Hackett: I came here when I was in primary school and enjoyed as actors made it feel real. Came another day with parents few years later it. Unfortunately no actors that day I went with my parents. Shame its closing.

Tegan Scott: I remember coming here in primary and instantly remembered this place and started crying lmao, want to visit again sicne it’s been about 5 years.

petejones75: A most amazing little museum.. It is just reopened after closing for COVID-19. Well worth the visit and they really need our support right now. It was like a tardis unassuming on the outside but vast on the inside.. went on and on.. with bomb shelters, rooms of memorabilia and even a recreated high street...trenches too. My kids loved dressing up.. so much effort made by the owners. Great thing to do on a rainy morning

Denise Harvey: Hands on experience for children to learn

Claire Hauxwell: This museum gives a fascinating insight into wartime Britain. It is great to see how much they've fitted in. I took a group of school children, and they all thoroughly enjoyed it.

paul wild: Great Museum , really good displays, lots of interesting fact about Swansea at war and there is a 1940's street with mock shops.Well worth a visit . Contact them first for current opening hours and entrance fee

Paul Hodges: Very interesting took a school group there they really enjoyed the trip

Elizabeth Dalley: Excellent really enjoyable very well organised

S Watkins: Lots to learn about the 2nd WW, very educational. Friendly staff. It takes less that 90 min the tour.

Z Llewellyn: Took my nan over the summer. She really enjoyed looking around and telling me stories about the things in there. Staff were super friendly.

Jo Dufay: Fascinating place, I would really recommend it for all ages. Information is clearly displayed and exhibits explained in a straightforward way, but also provide a depth of information if you want it. I came here with my mother - who is 86 and lived through WW2 in Swansea - and my best friend who, like me, grew up in Swansea. There is a lot to see and experience here, and we all learned a lot.

Mission Gallery: what do users think?

Trice Hutch: I love the mission gallery. The work they have there is amazing. They also sell pieces for local charities to benefit from too which I think is absolutely fantastic & so generous of them.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

claire densham: A beautiful gallery always worth a visit as the exhibitions are top class. The gallery shop is excellent. Gorgeous jewelry glass and ceramics to purchase.

Charlotte Gibson: Fabulous little art gallery in the centre of Swansea. Mission has a small shop with lots of lovely gifts and art items made by local artists. Well worth a visit

A Berry: Attended a workshop here to learn how to make felt. Brilliant

Will Treasure: I really like this gallery. It's in a great location just a short 10-15 minute walk from the train station I'm an old church. Check the website as the exhibition regularly changes, but each time I've been it's been high quality and very interesting work. There is also a shop, some stuff is cheap and others are expensive artworks in the hundreds of pounds as expected. I definitely recommend it if you're in the area!

Prys Lewis: Lovely little gallery, lots of interesting stuff and they do workshops for children and young people. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her visits there.

Greg Design: Spacious rooms for your art instalation. Art Gallery shop in great location

Sorki Cassidy: Interesting exhibition... beautiful pottery but bit too forced Tecno elements.

Brynmill Park: what do users think?

Rhiannon Clark: Great park. Quite a lot of rats though.

Jonathan Roberts: One of the best parks in swansea. Park shop is great for ice cream and coffee. They have recently upgraded the children's play area too. Which now includes swings for all ages.

ROBERT HOPKINS: I always love visiting Brynmill Park. It was somewhere my parents used to take me when I was little and now I get the chance to take my 2 year old grand daughter there. She loves feeding the ducks and playing in the playground as well as generally just running around in the open spaces. The Kiosk by the lake sell a fab range of food and drinks at reasonable prices and you can even buy bird food for the ducks, swans and pigeons.

Ben Holloway: Nice park with a good sized and relatively new childrens play areaPlayground: Good sized play area for a range of ages

Parc Singleton Park: what do users think?

Lisa McKnight: Major park literally on the outskirts of central Swansea. Loads of locals and dog walkers go here for walks and to chill out, plus there are a variety of specific gardens in the park such as the Oriental gardens and the botanical gardens. You can very easily spend a day here in good weather bird and wildlife watching ☺️Playground: There is no playground as the entire place is gardens and woods.Restrooms: There are public toilets in the middle of the park by the Swiss cottage.Dog-friendliness: Loads of people take their dogs for a walk here.Picnic area: There are numerous areas where you could have a picnic.

robin benton: A lovely sprawling park set between sketch and the seafront. Backed onto by the singleton university campus.Hosts events throughout the year. Cross country runs, gigs, proms in the park, pop up food big top.And dogs love it here.Dog-friendliness: Great dog walking.

Philip “Phil” England: A gem in Swansea, even this time of the year

Carol Frimston: This is an ever-changing Park full of nature, no better place to walk with your thoughtsPlayground: No play facilities, need to go to Brynmill which is the park next doorRestrooms: Toilets could do with an upgradeDog-friendliness: Dogs very welcome except in the flower gardensPicnic area: You can picnic anywhere within this park, plenty of seats but no tables

Edward Kempton: Beautiful park that boasts an amazing botanical garden with a wide array of interesting plants

Simon Cooper: Swansea has no substantial inner city green spaces, however Parc Singleton, on the South Western edge, is a wonderfully peaceful park, with a mix of mature trees, botanical features, and rewilded areas. The university campus is set into the park, on its southern edge, otherwise it is bounded by urban dual carriageways, and busy roads. You really aren’t aware of this when in the heart of the park.

Katie Waters: Great park for a Sunday walk, the dog loves it as she had loads of space to run free which is great as we have a very small garden. Other dog owners were very good with their dogs and very one kept safe and sensible. There is also great views for the humans to enjoy during a walkDog-friendliness: very much a place to bring the dog
