Penllergare Valley Woods: what do users think?
Owen Brown: Lovely walk, beautiful scenery
Roger Brown: I volunteer here twice a week and get free coffee. New cafe almost finished. £2 parking for visitors
Michelle Wales: A must to visit glorious walks, good cafe, dog friendly.
paddy kelly: Cafe/toilets on site, £2 to park all day. Loads of lovely mostly easy paths to walk
Paul Cobb: What an amazing hidden gem just off the M4.Definitely worth a visit and walk around, took about 2 hours with a lovely cafe on site for drinks and cake afterwards.
Nigel Turner: Couldn't see the waterfall not sure if it dried out? Nice place to walk but lots of work being done on cafe
Sam Gillespie: A very nice place to walk beautiful plants to seen and a nice waterfall to see. Cafe is small and can do with an upgrade with the menu, Volunteer Staff so there best and are friendly 🙂
RICHARD SAUNDERS: Beautiful wooded park with miles of bike trails and footpaths that take you all around the grounds. It's vast, and there are plenty of things to do and see here.Wildlife is everywhere.. so much birdsong 🐦 to enjoy... even ducks and ducklings in the lakes. Herons can be seen here... dragonflies and damselflies feeding on the wing are also visible on warm, sunny days every year.Seating areas are positioned throughout the woods, and there's good picnic areas for the family. Well worth a visit soon for the peace and tranquillity it gives to all visitors. Enjoy 😁
Clive Tombs: Restrooms: Available freeDog-friendliness: Ideal for dog exercisePicnic area: Seating with beautiful views everywhere. Cafe for if you forget your picnic. Cake and sweets. No sandwich.
Matt Miles: Truly tranquil and utterly beautiful. Great place for dog walking or bird watching.
Daniel23 Herciu: Highly recommended.
mike: Great walks and very tranquil
saffron jones: Lovely woods, drinks from cafe are nice, just the rudest staff
John B: Nice views 👌Dog-friendliness: Let goes free
THOMSON PM: Amazing place to walk around.
Mark: We found out they were having highland cows for a while so decided to take a trip, £2 for parking 9 till 5 which is nothing a really nice stroll through with the dog past the the first lake, then to see the small waterfall, following the stream down were a few bridges and then eventually to the bottom lake, walked right around and back, even stopped at the cafe and had coffee, milkshake with a slice of millionaires shortbread and o and can't forget the ice cream for the doggo 😀Dog-friendliness: Lovely walk for the doggos water to paddle in and ice cream from the cafe
Ceri Jones: Favourite family place xx perfect in the sun and the dogs love playing in the river
Kerry Ward: A beautiful woodland walk with many paths to discover. Most of the paths are gravelled, and some earthy trails with bridges and a waterfall. There are toilets available, disabled, and baby changing. Also, a volunteer run cafe with a covered seating area overlooks a gorgeous garden. There seems to be some kind of development going on there at the moment, but it doesn't affect the walk at all. Free entry, but there is a £2 car park fee. Dogs allowed.
Kiran Rongala: Best place for peace and fresh air....
Adithya Krishnan: One of the most Beautiful places in Swansea area lots to explore and see. Plenty of trails to follow. Highly recommend.
Susan Evans: Very well kept venue. The woods are extremely natural with very thriving trees of all varieties. The colours were outstanding this May with Rhododendron here and there. The waterfall is beautiful as is the lake. The staff at the cafe are very efficient and obliging considering the cafe is undergoing massive renovation. Sitting under the marquee was brilliant whilst the weather was outstanding today. A suitable place for dog walking and taking children amongst a natural environment. Excellent parking facility and parking fee very reasonable. People on holiday visiting were very impressed. Personally I think a visit is a must.
