Duttons For Buttons: what do users think?

Anne Marie Stagg: This shop is an amazing place to visit. It’s tiny, but absolutely chock full of all manner of creative ideas: wool, buttons, ribbons, scissors, crotchet hooks, knitting patterns, craft kits… the list is endless!I‘ve been popping into this shop for many years -it’s like being a child in a sweet shop-there are so many wonderful things and I want them all!I also appreciate that there is no hard sell-I was making enquiries about tatting materials but in the end, changed my mind. No problem! If you are looking for specific haberdashery, if you are looking for a craft kit or simply need a knitting pattern, this really is the best place in York to find what you need.

Rush Sugunasingha: Great small independent shop. Has a considerable amount of stock

John Colling: Great little shop

Sally Cook: How amazing to find a proper haberdashers stuffed to the rafters with craft supplies - an array of buttons, obviously, but also extensive range of embroidery threads and tapestry wools, cross stitch kits and books and beautiful knitting yarns. If only we had such a shop near us in West Sussex.

Lorraine Fairbairn: Great little shop, such a wide range of sewing and knitting products, and anything you can't find the lovely owner will try and get for you. Had my machine serviced by this lady and along with using the cottons that she recommended and uses herself, the problem I had of the cotton jamming in the machine and breaking needles so far has been fixed. The cottons she recommended are great, have to be the best I've used. Would definitely recommend a visit when it is safe to do so. There is also a website wherr you can purchase items and it also offers delivery. This shop is so handy, right on my doorstep literally and I'm sure there are plenty of dressmakers, knitters and wannabees that will find it very convenient, friendly and a must. Can't praise the owner enough on her willingness to help and customer care.
