They were really good with the test drive, as I was under 21 they requested an adult do the test drive with me but although they were busy they were more than willing to jump in with me if I couldn’t get someone to go. My only downfall for d&j was that they were competing with another company JB motors who are a vax haul main dealership and unfortunately couldn’t match they’re price, overall they were amazing tho, it must be difficult to try and keep up with the big fish I thought they were fantastic overall.

The salesperson we dealt with was called Steve he was excellent no hard sell and told us to take it for a drive. We were happy with the car but said we thought there was a shudder from the clutch, he said it was going for a service and mot so it would be checked then. He stayed in touch and I must admit Autopoint lived up to their advert. The car had the clutch and flywheel changed along with cam belt and water pump. After shopping around for the right one I bought an audi s4 b7 from these guys, the car is running sweet, drove it back to Scotland and never missed a beat.They told me they had changed the AC compressor with a new one and it still had an issue, but they let me take it then and where willing to pay for the repair as i had travelled so far... it actually turned out to be another combined issue with engine fan staying on draining the battery, I discovered water getting in the ecu/relay box, never bothered these guys with the issue as it was a cheap fix for me. Changed the out the old relays for new ones and was sorted, car hasn't missed a beat since.Would highly recommend these guys, as they were professional start to finish.
Brian Marshall MBE QCVS: i drive by autopoint York most mornings and always love to look at the stock, a great choice in a very small area, i saw a BMW 5 series i liked the look of so i went in for a look, the first thing that impressed me was i was allowed to look at each car with no hard selling. i went into the office and "steve" gave me the keys so i could have a good look around, still no hard sell. i had a good look at the vehicle and decided i wanted it. steve said come in tomorrow and take it for a test drive, i went in and it drove beautifully. i told him i would have the car and would he be interested in mine as a part ex, steve said yes and we sorted out a fair price. i was ready to take the car. but steve suggested i leave it for one more day so they could do a full service and checks, when i picked it up they had put a new car battery on, new batteries in the remote, and new number plates, it was truly an outstanding service and i will use them for my next vehicle thank you steve and the team, I love my new car.
Ben Jolly: Found myself in need of a 7 seater as soon becoming a family of 6. Bought an X5 which we love - however we had a mystery wobble. All credit to David and Steve for taking the car back and trying various solutions to solve the mystery. Simon Weatherall: Purchased a Mini Countryman 1.6 Cooper S all4 less than a month ago. Was a no pressure friendly sale and they couldn’t be more helpful. I’d read the reviews both positive and negative and did some research into the company before hand. So I knew what I was getting into. Honestly I can’t fault them at all. Full check and a service done on the car before I got it, with a firm promise if I came across anything I could come back and they would fix it at no charge. Sadly due to a family emergency I hadn’t driven the car much, however I did notice a knocking as there is bumpier roads near my home location. Straight away they gave me the number and address of the company they use and I was booked in. There was no arguing or anything like that. No push back, just a firm statement that they would sort it. There was a slight delay in parts but it was all sorted out at no additional cost to myself. I also can’t fault them for not noticing it sooner, as there is a big difference between the flat roads of York and the bumpier roads of West Yorkshire.This is deffo a company that takes pride in what they do. Staff are friendly and approachable. The garage that they also work with are also attentive. They try and keep you in the loop as much as possible too. Honestly though, I would buy from them again easily.

Aly Chick: I was looking to replace my Transit Custom with the brand new generation Custom and having enquired about a few at other dealers I found one at Stoneacre that really stood out. I phoned and spoke with Jack who put together a really competitive finance and part ex deal. After agreeing the deal I received regular emails and today I collected my new van. I had a 300 mile drive home and the new van is truly impressive. The whole process was so straightforward and despite a last minute hiccup with my part ex vehicle the guys at Stoneacre made sure I was able to drive away in my new van today. I cannot fault the service I received and Jack was a pleasure to deal with. Despite the distance I had to travel, I will contact Jack when I am looking to change any of our vans.

Ian Henderson: Stoneacre, York efficiently carried out replacement of the 'wet' timing belt on my Ford Fiesta. They lent me a courtesy car for the two days the job took. I would, however, suggest that it is high time that the Ford motor company fully admits the known problems with the eco boost engines which are costing customers dearly. Failure to do so is likely to result in a huge loss of customer confidence in Ford.

Keith Hall: Went today to have rear shoes,pads and wipers replaced. Had rung recently for a quote which was very competitive and a good £100 less than the main dealer quote. Arrived at 8.30 as arranged, pleasant greeting informed that they would start the work straight away and give me a ring in a couple of hours. Exactly what happened returned to garage met a really happy and helpful receptionist and car returned. Garage was busy and they had a great range of used cars. Would definitely recommend them for any work. Great to support a local business.

Thomas Batty: because they didn't have a specialist Volvo tool. I wouldn't mind if they were a normal garage but they market themselves as Volvo specialist, I would therefore expect them to have Volvo specific tools. They later called and explained to me that the fan belt tensioner tool is not available to non Volvo garages and that it is a rare occurrence for them not to be able to do work.

I may restrict my visits to just troubleshooting issues.Paul was courteous and gave the impression that he's got a great deal of experience and knowledge.There were some squeaky and humming brakes after service, but they looked into it for no extra charge
