The tennis club is delighted to introduce a new mixed singles ladder (provided by PlayWaze) aimed at getting people out on court for some friendly games of tennis. We think it will be an excellent addition and want to encourage players of all standards to join the fun.
We have so many fantastic members of various levels and want you to be able to practice and play as much as possible. This ladder will give you the opportunity to meet new people, practice some singles and improve your game.
You can access Playwaze via a browser or download the app. There is more functionality in the browser version than the app. You can still join via your phone/tablet through the browser.
Once you've registered and joined York Tennis Club Community then simply scroll down to the Ladder section and sign up to our Singles Ladder. Please get in touch with Adam de Vries (ajdevries22@gmail.com) to let him know you have signed up so that he can add you to the ladder. Then you're ready to go.

Indiana Keziah Scott: Had a couple of 1-1 sessions with Bradley, who a is a knowledgeable and patient coach, breaks things down and makes them nice and simple to follow, very encouraging and just a nice guy! Evening group session was great as well, everyone is very friendly and welcoming!

Marie Wright: Great Club. Excellent training facilities for all. My children love playing there. The tennis coaches are amazing.
Pierre-Luc Emond: If you love tennis, that's a great local club with 6 astroturf courts. Centrally located, in a beautiful setting close to the river! I joined a few months ago; the two coaches and fellow members have been very friendly and helpful in integrating me to the club. Weekly club play sessions organised, numerous opportunities to practice, socialise, and meet other players.

Club sessions for social play are held throughout the year on Thursday evenings from 6.00pm. These are open to all members - no need to book, just turn up!

James Stone: Great facilities. Free car parking and helpful staff.We have been using the 3G football pitches for our youth football league games and they are fantastic. Dugout area with seats, good condition ground and fencing around to prevent losing balls.

Roger Bentley: Always a pleasure to referee here at football, everything is spotless, staff are good too. Great facilities.
John Ross: The indoor tennis courts were great, the lighting in particular was very well placed to avoid glare for overhead shots. The car park was oversubscribed and ideally could use an overflow if the site availablity allowed. Helpful staff made the overall experience very enjoyable.

PrometheusZero: Very reasonably priced gym in a great location for staff and students. Might be a bit too student-y for anyone for anyone that isn't a university member or alumni.All the kit works but some is clearly a hand me down from York Sport Village. It's clean and mostly well maintained though. Staff are friendly and helpful. Finding a locker that isn't occupied, keyless or broken can be a bit of a pain.Never the less, I've been coming here for ages and it's helped keep to my weightloss and fitness goals. Can't say fairer than that!
