Georgina Carey: Great accommodation, so close to everything you need. The coal yard is like one big family and the management is fantastic would definitely recommend to first year students.

Another is that it's out of town, so you have to get on a bus to do anything fun.I stayed here during my 1st year of uni.The staff were so helpful when I had a problem in the flat/apartment, and got it sorted it double time. I was really impressed.There is a member of staff onsite 24/7, and many of them are chatty and will have a bit of laugh with you if their not busy. However, on arrival I was dubious that my room and en-suite ever had a thorough end-of-tenancy clean between the previous person leaving and myself moving in. I was further dismayed to see the state of the loo that is attached to the kitchen on the ground floor of our townhouse. It had clearly never been cleaned by the previous tenants and ignored over summer when the cleaners did the kitchen

Katie: Rathmell Hall has been a pleasant university accommodation experience with a clean building and Georgia is always helpful and quick to respond to any emails of concern. There are a few issues with parking with the restaurant next door but that is not Rathmell's fault. Rebooking for my second year there was simple and they even offer reduced rent for during the summer when I won't be there.To improve, I think that a cinema room booking spreadsheet or something would be useful so we know when people are using it etc.

Ben Hamilton-Rhys: An ideal option for mature studentsI'm older than most students and this not being my first uni rodeo, I'm used to living away from home and have to some extent been spoiled living in Manchester and London as a working professional.Finding the right accommodation is an important factor and sharing a house or flat didn't appeal necessarily.Sammy Tukes is a great development and the studios are ideal. Comfortably sized and well appointed, the kitchens are more than adequate and the extensive desk space is perfect. There is plenty of storage on offer, too. The furniture is plush, the rooms are warm and have a nice feel to them. The development really does go against the traditional views of student accommodation. The onsite gym, cinema, meeting room and reception are great to have on hand. What really makes this place are the staff. I've been lucky enough to have had onsite management and concierge teams in previous homes but the team are just great. Helen especially couldn't possibly do anymore to make you feel welcome and ensure you're okay. She is without doubt an absolute credit to development and to Hello Student.It's a small development and fortunately quiet. No wild parties or doors slamming at 3am. Just a bunch of respectful, hardworking and friendly peeps.Premium accommodation is exactly the right description for this place. Although of course that does come at a price. This isn't the cheapest option out there.What is a shame are the budget mattresses, being soft and uncomfortable and the kind that don't guarantee a great nights' sleep for everyone. Add to that the £20 or £30 per month you'll need to budget in for laundry facilities which, in other accommodation, tend to come at no extra cost. Given the high rents, it's a shame the same doesn't apply.On the whole though this is a great option if you'd prefer to live alone and certainly for mature students looking for a quieter home from home to focus.In summary:ProsSafe, secure and well appointed developmentOwn kitchen and bathroom  true perk in comparison with challenges of sharingGreat on site management teamDecent location with great access to supermarkets, easy access into town and 10mins from campusesConsThe budget mattresses really are disappointingThe noise from the aircon unit at the Chinese takeaway can get irritatingThe onsite laundry is expensive considering the costs of accommodation
