University of York: what do users think?
poonam Kapoor popli: We are a leading UK university for academic excellence. We are ranked 162nd in the QS World University Rankings 2023 and we have nine world top 100 subjects in the QS World University Rankings by subject 2022.Very nice interior..They've huge space..Maintained very good.
Sajib Rahman: The university is very helpful to the students. I did apply for the PhD scholarship and i was needed for help to make my application successful. And I did call to PG admissions team and one of the expert advisors name “Priya” did very well regarding my issue and she gently explained and solved for me. And her response and behaviour was impressive. I think this is the place where students can learn from everyone and this is the place for happiness. ♥️
Dave Allen: Really great university. Lovely scenic campus with supportive lecturers and faculty. The grounds are stunning and the students friendly. Highly enioyed time here.
yash kedia: Worst university they don't give appeal decision and another chance to retake a failed module
sue nelson: At work! Never changes
Spicy Broccoli: Beautiful campus with a gorgeous lake and parks
Sam: I really liked this theme park! The rides never had queues, "Central Hall" is a great bunjee jumping bit. My only fault is that I can be very self centred. My wife thinks so. She took the house in the divorce.I took it back. By suing her. She didn't sign the prenup. I win Jane. I win.
Dan Doig: Campus has lots of greenery. Good for taking the dog to carry out his morning business
Rich M: Just had 2 days at the STEM Centre on a course. Excellent facilities, friendly staff and amazing food. The course was really useful with lots of take away ideas.
Jean Carlo Abreu: I'm student of the MSc CS, the course has material full of errors, the quality and level of service from the tutors can't be worse. The students are trying to help themselves because tutors reply is terrible slow and wrong, not sure if they actually know of the topic.
Kelechi Okegbe: Beautiful university campus.
julian punch: Excellent university
Mark Tiller: I got my degree 🤣
Ravindra Hiremath: Woh ! So much of calm prevails. Wonderful campus area.It is really a great place to study.
Kolawole Ganikale (Makola_Mambo): The University is perfect but the cost of accommodation is unrealistic.
Nipa Miah: So many people have told me the hell they went through at this RUBBISH university. It’s supposed to be a ‘red brick uni’ yet the staff are vile, the lecturers don’t care and if you need any help, well good luck because you won’t get any. Extremely unprofessional and disorganised. Disgusting uni
Eika Rodriguez: One of the best universities in UK to study
Laura Edginton: The online masters in computer science with cyber security is not for beginners even though the university advertise it as anyone can partake and learn. This masters has been awfully a hard experience. The first module algorithms and data structures is extremely hard and difficult, if you struggle to do that I would advise do not go on. The rest of the course is extremely intense and requires an individual who has good coding skills and maths skills to be able to understand. Furthermore, the most appalling part is that no matter how much you study and work hard on your assignments the markers will give you an awful mark despite you doing exactly what’s on the task sheet. I did one exam where the exam was completely different to what we was taught . York are doing nothing about this.I want to add that I work in the field of cyber security and one assignment was heavily based upon the security aspect of a company. I went above and beyond for this assignment and showed peers at my company who have years of experience. I added policies and went above and beyond I repeat- well the mark I got for this work was a pass! I was so shocked! This was the breaking point for me and I don't want to be apart of this masters however, I have a few modules left and trying to get through it.It seems that there is a theme off many students experiencing this same issue, many students have tried their best and followed instructions through but the grade doesn't satisfy their expectations.Additionally, the masters is very full on although it's part time, there's a lot of reading and activities to do which make it very difficult to always be on top of things especially if you're working or have other commitments.Furthermore, the teachers are very unhelpful , if you ask them for any kind of guidance they are so ambiguous in their responses and will copy and paste the task assignment wording if you ask for specific help to do with the assignment.I wouldn't recommend anyone to do their online masters in computer science, i can't speak for the university as a whole but the online computer science courses are extremely awful due to the lack of support and intensity. You need to come from a technical mathematical background don't let them fool you.If you do go through with this masters, you're truly awesome and will be able to take on any BS that may come your way. The content of the topics are interesting but the university and teachers are awful.
tom allen: What a great university. Like a little village of student accommodation and teaching and learning facilities. Nice grounds, and a variety of new and old buildings.
David Brownhill: Decent - but very hot !

York St John University: what do users think?
Victor Mathias: Great University that cares about students and guests needs met
L M: Hugely liberal and out of touch with reality. Like many Universities nowadays, it's afraid to state facts but instead panders to woke ideologies. Fake tolerance manifests itself in mission statements written by the largely WASP faculty or overly aggressive liberal students who bully their way into positions of power, even though they have obvious mental health problems. The introduction of foreign students who seem lost amidst the sea of white, pink haired atheists is ironic to say the least. They're not included but tolerated $$$! They stay in groups and patronised like stray dogs. The so called Christian ethos is a joke. It's a dying denomination watering down anything meaningful in order to appease the left wing, who only want to erase God from the discussion. The campus is a disorganised mess or alleyways and incongruous buildings with no design process. The only beautiful part is the original building. The library has a good selection of books but you need a PhD to understand how all the various facilities work. Teaching is geared towards the usual liberal brainwashing, regardless of the subject you are studying. It's as though they get the subject matter over with to get to the important woke issues. Don't dare to disagree with the antifa mob or you will be hounded! So much for free speech and discussion! Tolerance is only for those who agree with them. Disagree and you will be labelled a racist bigot etc.
Uzodinma Nwichi: Great
Mary Opii: York St John University is a fantastic place to study with a beautiful ambience right in the heart of York
Lucinda Salsbury: Amazing
Richard Barton: Great small university with a family atmosphere
Anush Witha: Superb university with friendly staff and reasonably priced food. Love the environment. Location is ideal. Also affordability of the courses is great. The staff helps you with everything that you need.
Kieran Bhalerao: Currently in first year doing the Liberal Arts Foundation Year, excellent university with supportive staff and easy access from the city centre. Plenty of resources in the library and a blend of modern and old in terms of buildings. Would highly recommend!!!
Ryan Keran: Absolutely terrible ‘institution’ when I was struggling with mental health and my student finance hadn’t come in, I asked for advice and the counsellor told me ‘maybe uni isn’t for everyone’ and another member of staff told me to ‘take out a payday loan and get an overdraft as soon as possible’. Wouldn’t recommend at all, very financially motivated.
