What a wonderful shop! We visited today for the first time having moved to York last year and we were not disappointed. Having been vegan for almost a year it’s really lovely to have an owner so dedicated and involved in purchasing foods to suit this market. He was very knowledgeable, gave us some fab recommendations and I cannot wait to come back to try more!

Simply the best cafe in York. Penny and Cas are friendly, down to earth and welcoming. Very reasonably priced and good quality food. A great selection of food and drink choices too. I often go most weekends and highly recommend to anyone considering a visit. Whether solo or in a group, it's a great space for all!

A must-visit when in York, Penny's Bespoke Foodhouse is a family-owned business that serves one of the tastiest full English breakfasts in town! There was a bit of a wait, but we didn't mind as the ambiance inside the restaurant was lovely. The waitstaff were also incredibly friendly and a good source for local sightseeing tips. Overall, it's a great place to fuel up (the portion sizes are quite generous!) before heading out for a full day of exploring.
