Hampton by Hilton: what do users think?

PermanentTourist: The Hampton by Hilton York offers a delightful blend of comfort and convenience. The service here is great, from the moment we arrived we were greeted with smiles and professionalism, making us feel welcome. One of the highlights of this hotel is it's location, allowing guests to easily explore all the tourist spots York has to offer. Whether it's strolling along the medieval city walls, visiting iconic York Minster, or walking through the shops in The Shambles, everything is just a leisurely stroll away.Breakfast - While it may not win any culinary awards, the breakfast spread at the hotel is satisfying enough to fuel your adventures for the day.In summary, if you're seeking a comfortable stay with excellent service and easy access to York's attractions, this is a fantastic choice.Rooms: The rooms are clean, nice bright, modern bathroom with a big shower. The bed was really comfy and I slept very well

David Thew: Really nice for a two night break. Alas, no free car parking, however there is a small discount. Gym was shut whilst we were there :-(Free breakfast was a plus but follow advice and turn up early!

Mike Walsh: Rooms: Comfy bed, great TV, quiet air con & fridge, just the right temperature.Nearby activities: All of York's stunning centre, 'gates' and walls, cafes, pubs & restaurants, museums and churches a short walk away. Stunning.

Park Inn by Radisson York City Centre: what do users think?

goldenheartsart: A pleasant hotel with clean rooms and good service, great centralised location and an excellent restaurant for evening meals.Food & drinks: A good standard restaurant menu, with a set menu that is absolutely lovely. £25 for two courses or £30 for three.

Desiree Hansson: The staff at the York Raddison are friendly and so very helpful - thank you. I only had to ask for assistance once and it was done - I asked to move room due to noise and it was done without any fuss. Also the hotel is immaculate and very well appointed. My recent stay was very comfortable.Rooms: Very clean and well appointed.

23 St Marys Guest House: what do users think?

Fernando Lerner: Our stay in 23St Marys was perfect and lovely. It meet all our expectations and more. Lovely staff, our room was super clean, super quiet place and the breakfast is a must! And the location is just perfect, less than 500mts and you are in the city center and near all kind of historic places and nice restaurants.I definitely recommend 😊Ps. The Christmas decorations are a beauty.

Mauro Protopapa: The room was okay, had kettle for tea and coffee, the roller blinds we had a bit of a problem with the pulley system didn't work properly and one was broken and came off the spindle only gave service a 3star as we were out most of the day and evening and staff were only there until 4 or 5 o clock, location was great as we were only few minutes from town centre

Beki Meson: Location next to Museum Gardens is super convenient and we heard no street or hallway noise whatsoever. Family room was homely, full of unique and up cycled furniture, very clean, king size bed was huge with a thick, comfy mattress, bathroom was incredible with bath AND power shower, and each bed had it's own TV! Dressing table was handy and plenty of wardrobe room / drawers. Tea / coffee / biscuits in the room with more freely available. Breakfast was a stunning affair with buffet cereals, fruits and juices PLUS a cooked breakfast of your choice.Hosts couldn't do enough for you. There's also a beautiful common room and a selection of treats with an honesty box if you get peckish. I honestly can't say enough about this place!

Damian Horton: it looked fantastic. Had to park in car park next-door but this was no hassle, and the offer to reimburse the cost was an additional lovely touch. Thanks for a great stay.

Tim Co: You feel the love that goes into this place in every room, in every tiny detail. Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent rooms and delicious breakfast. The location is absolute ideal: Quiet, but only steps away from historical highlights of downtown York.We WILL come back!Rooms: Lovely, newly refurbished rooms, brand new bathrooms.Walkability: Just around the corner from York‘s famous highlights, the munster, the medieval city walls ect. Parking close by.

Paul Wilson: What a brilliant hotel. The staff and food are wonderful. Beautifully rooms and very close to York city centre. We have visited here many times and would not dream of staying anywhere else.Rooms: Beautiful rooms, full of character.Food & drinks: They only serve breakfast but the quality of food and service is exceptional.

Ella S: but once we found our way, all was fine!Dropped our bags of as was a little early to check in, staff were super friendly.A quick 10 minute walk into the centre of York, which I think is perfect, and about five minutes from the train station.Room was clean and so spacious, as I always find with Premier Inn.We didn't have breakfast here, so can't comment on that, but would definitely recommend the hotel if you're wanting to spend a weekend in York!

DoubleTree by Hilton York: what do users think?

tom allen: Great hotel right off the city centre. And pleasant staff. The entrance is weird as seems to be missing something. Rooms are clean and comfy beds. Don’t know why reviews staff are bad, really friendly to us. Great cookies that we kept getting, had a singer on the Sunday night which was nice to listen to, and the breakfast was ok with good variety. One thing to note is the parking, if you are parking across the road as it’s cheaper, only pay when you get there. We paid for it and there were no spots so had to go through a process of getting a refund. There is another parking area across the road from the restaurant which is less than 5 mins and fairly secure and cheap, would recommend parking there on weekends. Team at Hilton gave us complimentary breakfast because of this which wasn’t even there fault, another reason why they are great staff.

Monika Lukaszyk: . Will definitely come back!Nearby activities: Close to all city centre activities and tourists places.

Andrew Warley: Clean, quiet and in a good locationHotel highlights Great value …

MADDOGLEP: Had a very pleasant one night stay in this B but no B on a quiet road. Comfortable en suite room facing the road b. You get sent an access code for the front door and then a key safe for the individual room keys. I struggled to see the numbers on the dial, even using a torch. You can get a parking permit off the owners. Madge and Booth came by train. Seemed to be plenty of spaces on the road. Good stay. Wifi, kettle, TVWalkability: About ten minute walk to the City walls.

paul walsh: Great room and locality

Maria Grant: Great place to stay and very convenient for the station and the city. Stayed here in March and paid £30 per head in a twin room which I booked in September. The optimum time to book was around November when 4 nights went down to around £195 for March stay. Room lovely and quiet. They only service the room if you ask but that's fine. Didn't have breakfast but had an early dinner and lunch another day at the bargain price of two mains for £11.99. Great quality and service too. Highly recommended place to stay. Good Thai and Italian restaurants very near and great café in the convent nearly opposite. Can visit the interesting building too.

Colin Chappell: The staff at The Longboat are first class especially Mia Tia and Hannah, and the atmosphere is lovely.xx.Food & drinks: The food is top class and very good quality and value for money.

Georgian House: what do users think?

stephen: Great hotel very nice breakfast 2 minutes walk into the centre stayed in York one night and the hotel ticked all the boxes.Bottles of wine and water were a nice touch as wellThank youWalkability: As close as you could ever need to be to the centreFood & drinks: Great full English

Bobbie Elsom (BobbieJ): The outside of this B&B on a busy main road looks shabby and run down and so do some of the public areas of the house. However our room in the back extension was newly refurbished on a contemporary theme. We found the room was small - not a problem - but there was far too much furniture for the room but very little clothes storage so we found ourselves having to maneuver around tables and chairs with nowhere to hang heavy coats needed for this time of year. Maid service very basic but it is only classified a b&b. The breakfast was freshly cooked and good quality. Details said there was a residents bar but this was not well stocked either in soft or alcoholic drinks and doubled as the breakfast room. All in all it did "what it said on the tin" and we were satisfied with our stay.Walkability: Easy walk to most visitors attractions including the Minster, shambles, railway museum and station

Alison Moore: We stayed at the Georgian House for 2 nights recently and highly recommend it. Great location close to the Minster and central York. Our guestroom was very spacious and comfortable, bed was great, shower was hot. A lovely touch was the mini prosecco left with the kettle/tea/coffee facilities, along with china cups, proper glasses and biscuits! We had the breakfast downstairs which had plenty of choice and also accommodated my friend's gluten free needs. All in all, very good quality and value and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Sara Schwalm: to other central activities.

Anne Colley: Hotel highlights Quiet
