Isaac Beight-Welland: Have had a few visits to this lovely cafe since its ownership change to Diana's Cafe. The food and staff are always fantastic and my speciality coffee and thick slice of homemade cake come to 5 pounds, a bargain considering its central location close to The Shambles...Would definitely recommend the Mozzarella and Pesto toastie, 5 pounds and had crisps and a side salad on the side which was a nice touch.Nitrogen ice cream is fun to watch and definitely an experience if you are visiting York as nowhere else seems to offer it. Top notch.Vegetarian options: Half of the nitrogen ice cream has vegan options, menu items seem to be easily alterated to become veggie.

Mike Rouse-Deane: Diana's Cafe was quite a small off the beaten track little place. Really sweet. Came in and ordered a nice bacon omelette. Staff were really friendly. Unfortunately having one toilet meant there was a bit of a backlog of people wanting it all of a sudden. The food was a bit slow coming out but delicious all the same. Definitely a nice little place to visit if you're needing a sit down and a bite to eat.

Susan Russell: A lovely cafe with a lovely setting and very tasty almond croissants! Unfortunately when I asked, I was told they only had sourdough bread which I’m intolerant to. Though speaking to the owner later, she said they had gluten free bread and were going to try others. We will definitely go again as the staff were very friendly and I’d like to try some of the other pastries!

A: WOW! That’s all I can say, me and my wife shared the Special toastie which was Chicken, peppered pastrami, 3 cheese blend, rocket and garlic and chilli oil!It has to be the best toastie we’ve EVER HAD!When we next come to York we will certainly be back!

I have a nut allergy and they couldn’t have been more helpful, using a sterilised scoop and opening a new box of cones and chocolate flakes for me, even though I didn’t request it, really thoughtful. Even gave us a free tub of sorbet to try as we’d been discussing flavours. Beautiful icecream too! Highly recommend
