York Dog Park: what do users think?
Rod Allderidge: Excellent facility. We have four dogs and there is plenty of room for them all to find their own space. Water is available and there is a picnic table to sit and chill at whilst the dogs wear themselves out. Our saluki x likes to dig so the sandpit is ideal.
Andy Muggeridge: Fabulous place for dogs to let off steam and mix with others. Lots for them to do and great staff on hand, very professional. Watson loves it and knows where he is as soon as the car stops. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Hayley Torres: Our two dogs love it there never go over the jumps tho lol its breat for doggy family meetings or even doggie playdates great open space and obstacles if ur dogs are athletic a 5 star
Nicole R: Big spacious, has apparatus for dogs to train on. Dogs loved it.
Sheila Fox: Great park, lots of activities. I had 4 sessions of puppy training with Will Smart, i really enjoyed taking my puppy to the classes, even if he didnt really listen.... I did. I picked up some very good tips, my best being to invest in a whistle, what a difference in recall its made. I thoroughly recommend the classes.
Ellie Probert: Took Oscar for the first time today.Location, facilities and lady who runs it were all fantastic. Will definitely be booking again. Oscar loved it and gained socialisation skills running and playing with the other dogs.We have one very happy but tired pup.
hmc: Lovely park, good size and well drained with some interesting obstacles. We've only been to the socialisation sessions, but it's much appreciated that the sessions are monitored. The group sessions especially are very reasonably priced. Our dog absolutely loves it.
Omega Jim: Really nice field, very secure, quiet and plenty of space. I am reliably informed that there are many many interesting smells to be investigated.
Guy Norris: Mavis is very nervous around other dogs larger than herself. 1st visit she stayed close bye and had the occasional run. 2nd visit she gained confidence playing with others although always kept us in her sight. You can deffinatley see her growing in confidence at this amazing place. I wish we had found York Dog Park sooner. It's fully enclosed and socialising sessions are kept to 8 dogs making it easy for all to join in the fun. We already book in advance as Mavis enjoys her time here. The staff are fantastic and friendly giving all of the dogs a fuss. Excellent place and we have already recommended to others we see on our walks. Lots to do, and can not wait for next week.
Janet Mcleod: Booking is easy, the site is clean and tidy, and the dog loved having the space and freedom to run about without the worry of other dogs. One happy dog, well worth the cost.
Antony Savvas: Excellent and reliable set up to allow your dogs to run wild!
Sue Hayes: We love this place. Clean and tidy, well equipped, spacious and plenty for the dogs to do and explore.Playground: Playground for your dogs.Dog-friendliness: It is a dog park. Water available, toys and treats.Picnic area: Table with benches.
Lee Hayes: Both my dogs love the park it's a great size and well equipped
Stephen Roper: A great time secure area staff friendly
Carl Gledhill: Dogs loved it.
Dawn Peters: My two dogs love it here! Lots of activities, drinking water always available and plenty of balls to choose from, there is also the added bonus of some dog treats if you forget your own! Very clean and private. We had an issue with the lock getting out last time, but this was sorted promptly after ringing the lady. Excellent service, friendly and helpful. We have one reactive dog towards other dogs so this park is ideal to relax and let them have a good time! 👍👍🐶🐶
Emma: Lovely enclosed dog park. The pups really enjoy it here 😊
gemma lewis: This place is perfect! I can't walk my dog off lead so watching him run around and really enjoy himself was priceless. We will definitely be back , the lovely little shed with treats and toys is such a nice touch
Phil Sullivan: A wonderful place to bring the dogs. They enjoyed the space, the agility and the toys! I'm not sure who was more exhausted after, the dogs or the humans!
Lady Jane W: Fantastic Dog Park! Has an agility course for dogs and you could take part too 😉 Beautiful surroundings, with Horses in the next field, has a sandpit, water pool for mucky dogs to play! Immaculate and well cared for, run by 2 lovely, friendly ladies! They also run socialisation sessions for your dogs which are great, fab mix of dogs, Harleyquinn our puppy loves it there! Highly recommend 👌Playground: Dog playgroundDog-friendliness: Dog park, enclosed!
Jeni Wood: Great first visit with Beano the lab. Such a brilliant place, really well organised, highly recommend .

Rawcliffe Park: what do users think?
Ruth Gibson: I don't use the park facilities just the Park and Ride which is great
Gary Reid: Beautiful place, nice easy walk. Simple isn't always bad
adam bassindale: Fireworks night. Just needed more food and beer outlets. Park is lovely.
Paulo De Carvalho: Smelt like raw sewage
Andrew Cartwright: The park has some open areas and some wooded areas. Unfortunatly some inconsiderate people had left their pets mess in various places which slightly ruins the experience, as well as the fact that there must be an event being run soon as there were big yellow signs up all over the place advising of restricted access or to be careful etc.! For a slightly longer walk you can loop out of the park to the river and back in again. For the younger kids there is also a play area near the entrance, nd those that have bikes there is also a pump track area. If your unfortunate for the wind going the wrong way then the start of your walk might be a little whiffy from the sewage treatment next to the park (as it was on our visit!)
Viv Chamberlin-Kidd: Love it here
Andrew David: Large park with wooded areas that’s great for dog walks and following the river into the city!
Fran Pickford: Love the park, well kept, wish it was bigger.
Ryan Beast: Nice place to walk
Sher Afgan: I have two young kids. They love swings there. And I love the walk and serenity. I know there is alot more yet to explore in this park. Also the parking space is good. Never had a problem with parking
Karen Boardman: Great place. Plenty to do. Particularly enjoy the mountain bike pump track and play area.
Mick Saunders: Fabulous bonfire and fireworks plus a very kiddie friendly funfair 🙂
Colin Armstrong: Came her on the 6th November for the fireworks display. Well managed and still able to get parked.
Anthony Richmond: Great space to walk the dog
Mary Wellings: Dog rolled in something gross and id say it was belonging to a human - wont rush back
Steve George: Great walk through to york
Malcolm Wrigglesworth: Lovely to walk around, especially in the sun
Susan Richardson: Lovely place to walk your dog or take kids and bikes there's a playground too very well kept
Mark Wells: Easy on the eyes
Emma Gears: Such great memories of this place. Great for dog walks
Teresa Miller: Love this place

Anne Gibson: Lovely place, not too busy when we visited, very well kept gardens, with volunteers giving up their time, for the public to enjoy, well done to you all, much appreciated
Tracey Pugh: Plenty of variety of obstacles for older children. Swings for all ages and disabled.Grounds are beautiful, plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the gardens. Ice cream van doesn't price anything for a reason. 1 waffle cone with a flake was £5.45
Karin Girr: Gut beschildert...nettes Personal, hilfsbereit und sehr kinderfreundlich
Denise Crossman: My favourite park in York.Lovely Cafe, with very lovely staff.
Roberto Carhoata: A nice park
Dorji Wangchuk: It was a refreshing place
Raju Akter: If you want a bit of tranquility & to wind down this is the place to go, the book cafe attached to the park is nice to offering a wide range of coffees desserts etc, the park is clean & well maintained.
Daniel Byrne: Cracking park, could use a bar. Let's get that bandstand rocking🤟
Mag Akers: Playground: Lovely playground for kids.Picnic area: Areas with setting plus there's also a lovely friendly Cafe.
Alex Luk: A small park it is but still offers a tranquil atmosphere for strolling.
James Stead: Great walk to get there good food
Tim Shaw: Nice Park café takes too long to get served
George Meredith: Nice Park by the river.
Lee Toone: Lovely and very relaxing place to visit.
Shea Low: Great family- and dog-friendly park named after the founder of Rowntree (my little sloth keV is obsessed with jelly tots, so it was a must-visit for us). We loved stopping by the Reading Café for a drink.
Cory Mason: Friendly staff, clean premises and very welcoming.
Carol Rushby: Nice walk around the park and to finish with a visit to the cafeDog-friendliness: Dogs are ok on leads in the park but the cafe doesn't allow them inside the cafe , which is a shame
Daniel Booth: Beautiful park which has plenty to see and do and is well maintained by a brilliant team of local volunteers. Lovely to visit at all times of the year and the lake, play area and gardens are amazing too. It's great that they have a skate park, toilets, a cafe plus sports courts as well. Just a nice place to be.
Ian Bone: Great park, I can imagine it would be fabulous in the summer rather than muddy in the winter
Steve Grief: Restrooms: Not very clean
wee gems: A peaceful park can spend 30 minutes or however long you wish. There is a small car park which you need to pay for. A play park near the car park. I was only there for about an hour, so didn't see everything. A few statues dotted around the place ponds, and a lovely looking canel, which had a nice bridge. Saw a few people walking their dogs, feeding the birds and ducks but didn't see any swans this time. I wish had longer to see the courts - tennis and basketball, and he rest.Playground: Has a medium size play groundPicnic area: Can eat on a blanket or the tables

Tom Edwards: Well I didn't know this place existed till i was sent here to my community service, I'm a nice person dont judge!!! Its a lovely little wood and we're making it even more lovely....Your most welcome 😁Wait time 1 hr+ Reservation recommended No …More
Linda Watson: A lovely little woodland, even in December when it was a bit wet under foot. Looking forward to visiting it through the year
Kate B: Great cut through but also lots of wildlife.
sgt wolfi: Nice place to chill with the boys
Julie Ingleby: Live locally so use it often to take my dogs round
Tracie Fawcett: Ok
Cathy Atkin: Hidden woodland.
Shirley Rickell: Nasty smelly boggy avoid at all costs
Shaun Revell: Great place
kathleen williams: Normally ok, but a lot of overgrown nettles where u walk! They need cutting back!
fraser forsyth: Nice place for a stroll if you are already nearby.Bit litter surrounded by mature trees and very varied wildlife.
Steven Detheridge: A lot wildlife for such little woodland. Love it.👍
L Hague: Fishponds is a lovely little hidden gem amongst the houses. It's not great for people with accessibility needs but on a dry day there shluldnt be many issues. It seems somewhat left to over grow but that gives it a much more wild feel, allowing you to feel lost in the woods without being more than 5 mins from your house.

Golden Paws Ranch Fully Enclosed: what do users think?
James Sutcliffe: Great fun secure dog field. Plenty wet for the dogs to go wild running about. Enjoyed a can of pop from the coffee shed too.
Shaun Collier: Seems to be a decent place, but having been on the night it was disappointing to see that "floodlit" actually meant a couple of reasonably powered outdoor lights, rendering some areas near impossible to see. Hoping that a day visit will be a better experience but based on our night visit it wouldn't be somewhere we'd recommend.
George Topham: Nice big space for the dogs plenty of activitys for the dogs
ian anderson: Great place to take your dog out to play for half an hour.
Amy Carlin: No issues at all with the field, my dog just wasn't interested in running and playing ball 😂😂
Leanne Morley: Went for an hour run today as the dogs didn't want to listen this week and bolting to other side of fields near home. Great muddy place dogs and kids loved it. Definitely book again.
Leroy Reed: The dogs absolutely love this place !they would literally stay and play all day if I let them
Jonathan Gill: Wonderful experience
Barry Ratcliffe: Better than them all .
Jon Faulkner (ItsJONwivNOh): Good enough area for any size dog. dog training assault course dotted around. the only downside is its down a single lane track with no pass points. Doggo didnt care about that!
Nichola DAVISON: Great place we have a dog in season and a reactive rescue so fabulous for them to have some safe Playtime where they could relax and enjoy being dogs. Love it and we will definitely book again
Carl Gledhill: Great fully enclosed area to let your dog's stretch their legs and practice their recall. We have been many times and the hounds love it.
Nicky Craven: My little girl Maxi absolutely loves this place, she always barks when she gets too the gate which is excitement. After 10 minutes she was worn out 🤣 lots for them to do and great facilities 👍👌🐕
Becky Horrocks: What a fantastic and safe place for pups! Bertie had a wonderful time with so much space to run around and equipment to play on. Looking forward to our next visit!
Louis Caudwell: Lovely place to take dogs, plenty of space to run and obstacles. Shaded spots to sit under too
aaron w: Very good
Debbie Dawes: Our dogs had a great time, we didn't stay the hour as it was to hot. Love the fact that there were pools and water on tap even though we took our own. Highly recommended
Henry Elstone: Good safe dog walking area.
Lisa Nicholson: Took my 3 for the first time and it was ideal, just got another rescue and was able to let her off lead to see if she would recall in a safe environment . She loved the agility, all 3 are different ages and it meant my elderly dog could do as much or as little as she liked while the rescue is full of energy and could burn it off while the pug bounced between the other two.
julie-anne hassett: Loads of secure space agility equipment brollies available. Our 2 love it especially when paddling pool out

Michał Zys: Playground
David Waddington: Playground: Really needs updating that's all I can say about this park , it's just a shame.
Catherine Pennels-Cronje: Lovely park with a great space for kids to play, including a little wooded area to walk in and explore.
Tim Drake: Great Park and the chap made my wife a lovely tea at the Bowls Club
Alex Bramwell: Beautiful place, walk my dog here every day
Carol Rushby: Lovely place to walk your 4 legged friend and you can sit and relax
Ray Chandler: Hidden gemDog-friendliness: Great for 🐕
Laura Byder: Lovely nice clean park.. could happily spend few hours there.
Emilia Wachowska: We love the place ☺️
James Ryan: A nice park, some great play things for the kids. The play park is in need of some repair with wooden poles for the kids to climb on rotten, to a point they move around. The zip wire is great fun, though!! The rest of the park is good, but the cafe only has 2 stars for hygiene.
John McCarthy: Restrooms: Best to avoid these!Dog-friendliness: Lovely spot for dogs. They need to be on the lead in the main areas, but lots of wooded areas for them to explore.
Shirley Milner: Hand fed the squirrels in the park and they were lots of them, lovely walk through the woods. A dog friendly park, very impressed and will visit again in the summer.
Ani Willis: Love going here. Split our time between the woods and the play park.
Sarah Lee: This is a really lovely park. It has everything you need and is a really enjoyable, attractive, safe space..It is a really big park and has 3 (I think) entrances/exits, all into the same space. It's been designed really well so that some of the open space has been split off with tall trees. There's loads of open grass for playing or picknicking and some goals have been placed in one area, for football. There's a more dense forest area. There's a lovely smaller square lawn area that is surrounded by really tall trees. There's a walkway through the middle that is covered in hanging foliage and flowers in the spring/summer. There are smaller, more private green areas split off, with benches. There's a small pond. There's a tennis/basketball court at one entrance. There's a playground at the other end with loads of equipment and a zip wire! There are 2 really well looked after bowling lawns and a clubhouse. There are toilets and a small cafe with a big noticeboard of events. Wednesday mornings (I think the 3rd of each month) is doggie Wednesday. There is a defibrillator on site. The park has won awards and there's no doubt it is loved and looked after. The beds are all planted really nicely. Thank you to all of the volunteers who maintain this beautiful space.
Debbie Tuck: Such a peaceful spot, I love walking here to enjoy this well kept park. I even managed to stop and have a hot drink in the little cafe today.. bliss
Majd H: Night vision pic without filtering.I will miss this place one day
Jason Kaine: Nice park for the kids and a cheap cuppa from the bowling boys!
Judith Bradshaw: Beautiful place for a walk
Gaz Th: Nice clean park kids love it
Fov: Good play park for kids. Lot of cans of strongbow scattered around though

Ian Middleton: Lovely walk with grandson on the sun and a play area for the children
Graeme Hopson: Took our 15 month old grandson for fresh air and a run about, Lovely gardens and wide open space. Only down side is the lack of play area for little toddlers.
James Stone: A lovely place to walk, with a big park for the kids, plenty of benches to sit at, a nice pond with fish and a pop up cafe which sells food and drink during the warmer months of the year.Free car parking.Playground: Loads of things for kids to do including football pitchRestrooms: Free toilets on siteDog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome on a leadPicnic area: Loads of benches and places to sit on the grass
Gill Humphreys: What a hidden gem. Beautiful in the sunshine today. Big thank you to all the volunteers hard at work. Hellebores and spring bulbs were a delight. Amazing who you find in the borders!
James McElroy: A lovely walk.
Mike Leigh Cooper (Mike Cooper): I live nearby and this is THE tip park for me both to walk and drive to.It has a real sense of being owned and cared for with personality by the bucket load. The space is varied, with a play park, open space and designed gardens that feel well established in a regal and traditional way, mixed with modern, standout arty features. There's an outdoor gym (oddly, next to the children's play area, but at least it's there) and when you're done, you can go for a walk on the river. The only thing I've not interacted with is the Explore reading part with the snack truck outside (not sure how often either are open, although they're both prominent).Oh and free public loos including baby change and disabled in the same room, from what I remember (foldnin winter).Has a brief chat with the Head Gardener at closing time! Nice guy!
Małgorzata Czerwionka: Piękne kolorowe... miejsce cudowna przyroda, dużo przestrzeni do zabawy.
Alistair Guy: We haven't been for a few years when we used to take the kids but it still is a lovely place to go 😉😉
Gaby Moulson: Akways lovely
Emmie Rose: Such a family friendly park
Shirley C: The Homestead Park is a beautiful place! Although the park area was closed, as we went late after school, we enjoyed the amazing trees and pond and colourful autumnal fallen leaves 🍁
Liam Brooks: Probably one of the best parks in York. Loads for the kids to do, decent ice creams on offer. Take a picnic and make a day of it! Parking can get a little tight at busy times though.
Daniel Booth: A lovely and very well cared for Park which is a credit to the volunteers and helpers who look after it so well. Well equipped play area with adult gym area, free toilets, plenty of benches and a nice little garden centre in the middle as well. The plants were excellent and the grass had no weeds in sight as well. The recycling bins were a good touch as well.
Elena Leeming: Hidden gem in York..def worth a visit. Easy parking.
Jennie Cox: Lovely park - we've had many lovely dog walks here and our daughter loves it ❤️
Laiying Chan: Nice place to spend an afternoon with the family.
Shelby Granville: Diverse park with interesting little cuts and corners to explore. My nephew loved showing me around and was especially excited about looking for squirrels
Me Woody: Took grandson today he enjoyed his self and the ice cream was open so he's well happy

Jane Clark: Higher management not helpful, other staff worked hard,
Samantha O'Connor: Lovely park with great amenities.
Shanika Barker: Lovely park area. Spacious and well maintained.
Gheb: Buen lugar para ir con niños
Mat Cook: The beds used to be planted every year with different flowers when entering from Melrosegate the two top walk ways was lined with shrubs and wooden arches over the top with flowers growing over the top they have all gone the beck that runs through it was full of ducks moorhens the odd swan would visit geese later on in the year sticklebacks even the odd perch could be seen in the water and just like the gardens the clowncil let it go to waste no maintenance it was full of junk it silted up now they have cut holes in the waterfalls and it's been drained and all there is is a trickle of water and loads of mud the clowncil were going to dredge it but u turned as it usually does it's now a disgrace and would not recommend a visit
Jude Agbontaen: A nice place to relax.
Ross Keane: It was a pleasure to find a park for our 3 year old grandson
Martin Benson: Totally beautiful
Holden AllTheAces: No specified car park so I parked on Millfield Ave next to the back gate. Lots of different areas. The children's play area looks well equipped. There were plenty of floral areas. I saw signs in regards to restoring the beck. I hope this is ongoing as it does need restoring, it is well overgrown with fly tipping in it. I saw a few buildings with their shutters down (this was a Friday in August) but there is a small semi-permanent building selling refreshments including special ice cream for dogs. One of the pavillions was by the basketball court and tennis courts. I assume this was for hiring them. However, the gates for the courts were open and unlocked so if you have your balls and rackets then you can use them. There was some planters growing vegetables. This looks like a great community project and I hope it's ongoing. If you live locally it's perfect for a morning and evening dog walk. It has street lamps along some of the paths and I assume they work.
BARRY HAMER: Nice place for a stroll and enjoy a drink tea
Leanne Morley: Cafe looks good but we didn't enter did use the toilets and they are awful tissue in the sink but no toilet roll to use not clean. Was nice to see the community out gardening and socialize defo worth it for that. Someone stole the kids football so another downside.
Rosie Jackson: I love this park! It suprisingly big and very green. There's 2 tennis courts which I'm excited to use when I get rackets. My garden doesn't have any grass so this is a great place for a chill or picnic. It also has a park for kids. There are such cute ducks in the stream/river and there are very pretty flower beds that are well maintained. The only downside to this park has very dirty water in the stream/river.Definitely a great local place to relax!
Becca Cooper: The staff was very very very very very helpful and friendly to me and my friends
EROS IN UK: Good place for share time with family and friends
Wayne Gregson: Good for the kids
Dave M: Plenty of free courts only ones in York 2 tennis 1 5 aside 1 basketball 🏀 🤣🤗
Gavin Chapman: Tends to be a nice walk through Hull Road Park but the grass has been cut really badly
DIDI SRONGGOT: Nice
natasha c: Really liked this place will be going with a book to enjoy the view while kids play on the park 🧡
TRIPL3DADDY.: My kids love this place basketball 🏀 mad they are and love the court up there.
Natalie Taylor: Shame about the older kids smoking pot next to the kiddy park........

Jacky Todd: Great dog field for exercise and enclosed for your dogs safety would highly recommend it
Wayne Holdsworth: Great place to take your dogs. Keep it clean and we all have a great experience. Only minor down is that you can't book the next appointment at less than half an hour later. For example even if a 1pm slot is available, you cannot book it at 12.31pm as the website will offer 1.30. not really an issue but had caught us out a couple of times. Still a great place and good value for money.
Mel Merry: We missed half our session because the sat nav took us to the farm gate but once we got there pups had lots of fun. Should have packed more water!
Charlotte Proudfoot: Our pup really enjoyed visiting Flaxton dog park. It was well kept and clean with lots of obstacles to try! Plus plenty of parking.
Louise Fortune: Amazing. Our dog had a fantastic run around and everything is so safe and secure we didn't have to worry. No bother getting in and had everything we needed. They even provide poop bags and gloves incase you forget. Would thoroughly recommend
