Since starting here in 2007 I've become immersed in the world of chocolate, from our indulgent boxed selections to our Engaged Ethics programme - I completed my Chocolate Diploma in 2011. I love my day-to-day role working with my fantastic team and sharing our knowledge and enthusiasm with the people of York. Do pop in and say hello!

Reetha Francis: Nice place to sit and chat or do a little work. They have got great view of the town. Quick service too. Just one staff was not really interested in service but you know everyone has bad days. Apart from that great place to go grab a cuppa hot chocolate. Me and my sister had a sit for 30 minutes, had hot cup of hot chocolate, made plan for the day. The place has good interior with warm lighting. As we were in there, small groups of people came in and went , where I noticed that people love to sit in there to have a good quick chat and share a drink. Yasmine Lashine: The staff is simply AMAZING! Super friendly, they’re probably the best part of the experience. I love the atmosphere there, it’s very cosy especially on rainy days.We tried the;1. white hot chocolate: highly recommended but order it without the chocolate cream2. Salted caramel hot chocolate: absolutely loved it. Order with the chocolate cream3. Classic hot chocolate: I think it’s over rated. My least favorite of them, I had to add sugar, it almost had no taste.Restrooms were a bit of an issue. They’re not very clean, and the lights are too dim for a restroom.Prices are somewhat OK. Not cheap yet not too expensive. Always go for the Large size rather than the regular one.Kid-friendliness: The staff adjusts to literally any requests made for children.

Darrel Harker: Staff stood talking for like 2 minutes while just me waiting at the bar to be served .. Got cocktails, guy serving said no cream for the drink, jokingly said discount, and the guy in a rude tone said you get them half price anyway! To hop it of got two packets of crisps and he forgot to give me them so had to ask for them. One of the bags was all sticky.

T Smith: Delicious as always
Katie Caleno: I really love the hot chocolate here, but as some other people have said it doesn't seem they have enough staff working or working quick enough for busy saturdays. The queue always seems huge and I was waiting over 20 minutes today from joining the queue to leaving - this is fine if you're not in a rush but i work nearby and was on my lunchbreak. They'd benefit from a timed pickup service - if i could order for a certain time then pick up that would be amazing and mean most of my break isn't spent in a queue. Most of the time i just don't have the time because of this, is a real shame and lets down the rest or the experience!
