The Little Hide: what do users think?

M: This was a lovely holiday for me and my partner! The pods are super clean and supplied with tea, coffee, mugs, basic cutlery and lots of blankets and hot water bottles, as well as a super aesthetic heater that mimics a fire!Although the pods don't have toilets, there is a nearby communal toilet block which again, is very clean and hygienic and doesn't smell at all.Only thing I was say is to bring appropriate shoes and clothing as in the winter/wet weather the environment gets extremely muddy! There's also a very sweet wool shop in a farm nearby, which I would definitely recommend!

Rose Veitch: We didn't have a pleasant experience that we were hoping for, but the service were helpful and satisfactory with dealing with my complaint which is an essential component of customer service that I really appreciated. They were able to manage and resolve my complaint quickly. Thank you for your effort and time with dealing with the matter. Take care. Kind regards, Rose.

Maria Cascales Fernandez: I been in the bank holiday with my bf and we really enjoyed our first glamping.Cannot wait to be back. The posh pod is super cosy xxRooms: so clean and comfyNearby activities: York city centre really closeSafety: really safe areaWalkability: really nice walks surrounding the glamping area

elaine hanson: Stayed here july 21 to 23rd 2023,a lovely find, the glamping pods were spotlessly clean, the beds were really comfortable the amenities were very good and must say the weather was awful but the cleaners were constantly cleaning the showers and toilet blocks. There was an amazing farm shop and cafe that served really impressive meals, the breakfasts were especially outstanding and really good prices, they also had a vast selection of homemade cakes and cheesecakes. I'm definatley going to book again .Thank you

Paul Alderson: The pods are in a peaceful setting, in an easy to find location. The bedding is good quality and the facilities are clean.A five star find in the cabin store... a spare hair dryer for use for those who have forgotten to bring theirs!Rooms: Good quality bedding makes all the differenceNearby activities: The heart of York is only a ten minute drive away.Noteworthy details: The cabin store... has items for use or purchase to help you enjoy your stay.

Jollydays Glamping: what do users think?

John Biscomb: In one night all stress from life was evaporated here. We sat in the veranda by the fire whilst cooking in the bbq, birds chirping away. Inside for a hot bath and a book with the fire burning away. You normally expect these type of clamping experiences to be a bit shoddy normally; dirty random cutlery, tattered old tables etc, but everything here was ideal. Sharp knives, high quality crockery, constant hot water. We felt completely isolated despite the fact we’re a single mike from Stamford Bridge. Woke up peacefully. King Auberon’s bothy was so awesome inside. Gothic decor really added to the vibe. And Jim was extremely helpful, he showed up as we arrived and gave us all the info we needed and even sorted us out with a comfy sofa. Felt very comfortable knowing he was around. We will definitely be back

Arron Hunt: What an amazing place,Newly refurbished with fantastic decorHad a fantastic mini breakWill 100 percent be back soon

hazzaarcha: Absolutely loved our 2 night stay in a Woodcutters Hut. Can't rate it highly enough.

Rebecca Cahill: Beautiful place!

kiel speakman: We visited today with my 2 little girls and they absolutely loved the fairy trail. The cafe was also top notch.

lisa taylor-barber: Visited the Northwood fairy trail

Queen Vee: We had a very enjoyable weekend here in a woodcutter hut. Great set up and surroundings. Couple of minor hiccups with it being the beginning of the season, but dealt with quickly. All in all a brilliant time was had.

Sammy Lee: Brilliant unique place. We had fun making pizza, with the pizza oven on site.

Chowdene Camping and Caravan Site: what do users think?

Steve Tyrrell: Quiet site on the outskirts of York. Limited facilities but were ok for our needs.

Polly Wainwright: £1.30 return. No 9 bus takes uou right into the heart of York. The site is found alongside a car sales garage, some way back from the road, so very quiet and private. Great hard standing pitches, water, toilet emptying etc and plenty of green space. We didn't use the shower, but it looked clean etc, £25 per night. Friendly helpful proprietor. Great.

Caren Bee: Lovely welcoming host.Nice small and quiet site

adam whatford: Small basic site and well kept and clean.Very well located only a 5-10 minute walk from the park and ride and shopping center.Dogs allowed on lead.My stay was last year and I cannot believe I forgot to post a review at the time considering the good service we received.Would definitely go back again.Dog-friendliness: Dogs allowed on lead.

Christine Royce: Fantastic CL site loads of wildlife easy park and ride into YorkDeer foxes ducks squirrels etc

Selwyn Campervan: Spent 2 nights here. Received a warm welcome from Catherine the owner on arrival. Lovely site in an excellent location. Level hardstanding pitches with electric hook up that were well spaced out. Single toilet and shower on site which was clean and adequate for the site. 10 minutes walk to Monks Cross park and ride and retail / leisure park. Some road noise but not too intrusive. Would definitely recommend.

Peter Wrightson: Campsite is a little basic, just one toilet and shower. But as the site only caters for 6 pitches it's not a problem. Easy walk to the centre of York, unfortunately along a main road. 5-10 mins the other way takes you to a retail estate with crazy golf and a cinema amongst other things. Location is key here.👍

Ruth Holmes: Happy. Used park and ride.Since we were last there, pitches are hard standing with ehu and price has risen acvordingly.Still only 1 combined shower and toilet but units usually have own facilities.Owner friendly and helpful....even in sub zero temps of last weekend.

Steve Turner: Great little site, 10 minutes walk to park and ride shopping centre, buses direct to York city centre £3.50 return, nice level pitches, one shower and toilet on site aswell as waste and water

John C: Great CL...25 min walk from Centre of York. Park and ride just round the corner , buses every 10 mins. A bit of road noise but pretty unnoticeable after a bit. Pitches were nice, flat and roomy. 20p showers last 3 mins..but clean and work well. Catherine, the owner, was very helpful. Will be returning.

Brian Lacey: Perfect for visiting York, park & ride 10 mins walk, go left at the site exit. £1.20 return with bus pass.Lovely lady Katherine, very helpful, 1/2 mile towards York " Wilco " caravan & motorhome spares.Toilet and shower spotless.EHU 10 amps.will use again. for s sure

Geoff P: Lovely cl, nice lady very pleasant. 10 mins walk to park and ride. Toilet/shower very clean. Don't mind paying £21 felt worth it. Booked again

martyn thompson: Made very welcom good hard standings

Paul Graves: Went there for a short break with our friends lovely clean site quite and good size pitches only 5 , that brings me to the electric hook-ups supposed to be 10amp so you have to be selective what you have on . It kept tripping not on individual posts but everyone's and this had to be turned back on in the owner's garage? Obviously a problem with the supply. I'm afraid the 2 of our caravans got the blame as apparently it didn't trip before we came, there was one more caravan and two motor homes the man in the caravan said he was using gas and not electric but looking into his awning he had an electric barbecue grill the thought was two faced or what as he had spoken to the lady pointing at our two caravans obviously blaming us two . The only other thing there was only one shared toilet between men and women and it also had the only shower in there aswell so if someone had a shower you had no toilet to go to until the shower was vacated. Anyway it didn't spoil our holiday and we had a nice time .

Wagtail Park: what do users think?

David Clarkson: Fantastic Stayover Park and Great Sevices! Showers are nice and hot and heated bathroom blocks. Park and ride services loacated nearby.HIGHLY RECOMMENDEDNearby activities: Wild SwimmingFood & drinks: Local Pubs

Tracey Leatherland: Lovely friendly, helpful owner. It was extremely quiet other than a slight bit of road noise but bot enough to disturb us. Very clean and warm toilet block, lots of hot water. Close to lots of shops and the park and ride for easy access to York. Would definitely stay again.Location: 5/5 …

Lee Clithero: . Get dropped off at the bottom of the shambles. Ideal for town centre. Will definitely stay here again

Lyn: We love staying here in our campervan. Twice now and we will be back this year.

Sarah Sanderson: surrounded by nature yet only 2 mins to the local retail parks and literally 10 mins into York. We got the park and ride bus just a few mins drive from wagtail

Beverley Davies: Beautiful safe grounds fantastic location private but also close to facilities. Clean toilets and shower rooms 👌Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value …

Helen Thursfield: Fantastic site lovely lay out very flat no ramps needed facilities fantastic very near to york and easy to get aboutNearby activities: Very good fishing pools

Andrew Micklewright: Great park good toilet facilities fishing on site close to York park and ride. Owner helpful and pleasant Spot on 👍Location: 5/5 …

Jon Hall: We booked two touring pitches for our HERO Ranger teardrop trailers and were on the gravel hard standing. We had loads of space around the pitches - not like others which can be cramped.Peter the owner could not have been more helpful and friendly, with lots of nuggets of information etc.The site, whilst tucked away, is near the outer ring road and not too far from shops via a short drive. We loved the site layout - the Fishing Lake, the tidy grassed areas, the more than adequate amenity block with few but huge showers providing lots of hot water.Wash up area also good and under cover. It's a site that we would return to if were heading for this area in future.Highly recommended.

David Monk: We had a small camper van, pup tent and a tarp setup for rain shelter. The plot we were allocated was huge, flat and like a lawn.Facilities are great with large shower cubicles, under floor heating in the toilet block and plenty of hot water all day.Only downside was lack of Wi-fi.Quiet, lotsa trees, pretty pond and a small reed bed for moorhens that wander around the campsite. We loved it.

Abi Brock: Lovely showers

Andrew M: Fishing: local lad: went fishing today. Owner lovely. Fishing lake well maintained. Caught around 10 silver fish, 4 tench and 3x 2-3lb carp. Lovely place to fish and fully reccomend. One rod at £5 for the day. Wonderful.

Cherry Tree Cottage Caravan Site: what do users think?

Review You: Great spot surrounded by fields... we were on the pitches close to the road, but it does go quiet later in the evening.., didn't keep us awake or anything.Great idea - Orange buckets provided for your recycling... 5*!Lovely daffodils out everywhere on our visit , gorgeous planting , monkey puzzle trees, lots more too.All in all ..We sat and said what a cracking set up , house nx door with just the right size caravan park nice small enough to run correctly,Perfect 👌

Paula Tallantire: Had the most peaceful and tranquil time at cherry tree cottage. Fabulous site will definitely be going back.Walkability: Lovely walks around the site plenty of restaurants and amenities near by.

Lynda Aubin: Lovely small but well organised campsite. Karen fitted us in when our other campsite closed due to flooding. Lovely and quiet, and so well situated for York. We took the bus in. Lots of shopping and a cinema just 2 minutes further along the road if thats your thing. Lovely pubs in the village too. Will definitely be our base for York in the future.

Hilary Hughes: Really good site brilliant location 👍 and Martin is friendly and welcoming and takes real pride in looking after his site. would definitely return had a lovely stay thank you Martin 😊Location: 5/5 …

Need to be able to use your own facilities onboard as no outside facilities.Hope to see you again in the not so distant future ...well done Karen & Martin 😃 x

Amanda Thomson: Excellent site, very friendly & helpful staff. Site very well kept & spotless. Will def be back 😊

Claudia Katzer: Very attractive, well-kept parking space for motorhomes, the owner is very friendly and booking is easy.Booking by telephone is advisable as the place is well attended. Bus York is a 25 minute bike rideClaudia

Neil Wragg: Just spent 4 wonderful days on the touring pitches at Cherry Tree Cottage. Absolutely no negative comments to make in this review. From the moment we arrived until the time of arrival everything was perfect. We were met at the gate by Steve who was looking after things while the owners were away and he did a grand job keeping the grass looking wonderful and the site running smoothly.Location was excellent. We chose to walk into York along the Ouse but the park and ride was very close by if you prefer the bus into York.Prices were excellent and reflected the lack of toilet and shower facilities on site which we didn't need so it was fine for us.Four pubs in the village too - all within walking distance.Definitely on the 'Must visit again' list.

Patricia Sloan: Lovely site immaculately kept our third visit and will be back Handy for the P&R into York brilliant pub just along the road.

Mark Sargison: Excellent little private campsite.Hotel highlights Quiet …

Grantchester Caravan and Camping: what do users think?

Roberta Homewood: Great location easy access to Lees and ThirskLocation: 4/5 …

Graham Kell: Lovely campervan/ mobile home site 3 miles from York bus stop directly outside the site. Spotlessly clean, well-kept site . Very friendly owner . We would definitely come here again.Location: 4/5 …

Ron Trevis: Stayed on this lovely site over Easter. Easy to catch buses into York and great local walks down to the river. Facilities are spotless. Will surely return.

Hells Guardian: It's me and not the Dark Lord writing this review. Grantchester is a campsite just off the York ringroad and frankly superbly located for visiting the area of York and surrounding places. The access road might be tight if meeting something coming the other way but its only 100 yards or so from the main road so shouldn't be an issue. Access is via a set of gates with CCTV on both the gate and up high on a column. We had been allocated our pitch before arriving by the lady who runs the place with pretty good communication to us via email and pics of where our pitch was. Now ladies we all like a good length on our pitches...... and whilst his lordship is a master of reversing it was narrow for both caravan and porch awning, but so long....having to use the grass for half the awning meaning we couldn't really use our mat as normal, goodness knows we like good width ... to have room my shoes but it was all good anyway, if we returned we wouldn't bother with an awning and we would most certainly return.Plenty to do in the area, not too noisy at night bearing mind it's just off a main roadFacilities were very clean, very tidy, mixed usage very European !!!!! Showers were hot and plentiful and not those pesky push button versions for a change, only slight issue was his lordship as you know isn't the smallest individual in the world and struggled a little with them but he got clean just not designed for the bigger man but he did return all cleaned and tidyThis is an excellent site, well looked and cared for and one we have listed on our returns register of campsitesBest wishes allSatans Bride x

Ian Homewood: Great little CL. The toilet and shower block is modern and warm and the pouches are level. Lisa sent us our pitch number prior to our arrival, so we knew exactly where to pitch without having to try and find somebody to tell us.Just a short walk to the river, along which you can walk into York. For those who don't want to walk there is a regular bus service just a couple of minutes away.

Nigel Gardner: Excellent wee site! Lisa is a wonderful host. Showers are brilliant exquisitely clean. The location is excellent. Bus stop just 100 yds up the lane. Easy access to York and the Clifton retail park. A short distance from the site is a Garden centre with a lovely clean cafe. Next door to that is Football Golf and in the carpark is THE VAN, who serves breakfast ,lunch and the chap who runs it, is very knowledgeable of the area. Oh did I say,the bacon butties and a cuppa was superb. So everythinga motorhomer like ourselves really enjoyed and a great place to park to see all YORK has to offer.Thank you for having usNearby activities: York , Close to retail park. Short walk to BeefeaterWalkability: Busstop easy walk 100 yards from site entranceNoteworthy details: Thank you Lisa

Gillian Curel: We stayed for two nights at this lovely little site. We had an early morning call from Lisa to say part of the site was flooded but we decided to go anyway. We were greeted warmly by Lisa when we arrived who us a Christmas present which was such a lovely touch. The bus service into York is at the top of the road and we visited the Christmas markets. We will definitely return soon to this little gem of a ste

Gill and Paul Cook: A lovely campsite which is well run by friendly owners. Good location for York either by bus or walking / cycling. Would definitely recommend it and although it was quiet when we visited we thought it spacious and idyllic. Definitely when compared to a main camping site in York itself - we went there for a nosy and we were so glad it was fully booked making us choose Grantchester! Agree toilet block kept immaculate which makes such a difference. Thank you for having us!

Nina: Spacious pitches, clean if small toilet/shower block. Good links into York. 6k walk. Bus stop 30m away. Also on a sustrans cycle way.Location: 4/5 …

Claire Patrick: were clean and tidy but 2 showers and 3 toilets for 20 pitches is mostly definitely not adequate. Location is great as there is a bus stop at the end of the lane which takes you directly in to York. There's also some great cycle paths directly from the site which take you into York. Overall a nice site but not sure I'd return unless it was for the cycling opportunities

Janet Rahaman: Absolutely beautiful place Lisa does a wonderful job running the site, dogs are welcome, there is a pretty lane just pass the site, so dogs can have a run, all showers toilets are exceptionally clean & wash up area is excellent, will return again well done Lisa x

Barney Smith: One of the best campsites I stayed at on a recent three-week holiday in the UK. The facilities were always clean and exceptionally pleasant to use and there are sockets there so I could use my kettle. There was free wi-fi which I was able to access in my tent. It is walkable from the city centre along a lovely path. It is better value if you are not travelling alone, as you pay per pitch. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thank you

Hayley Dyson: Food & drinks: Amazing pizza shack with homemade stone baked pizzas made to order. We have had these both times we’ve been and they’re gorgeous. You can also get pastry’s, coffee and breakfast sandwiches, a great addition to the break away.

Amy Newman: just 2 minutes down the road where we went one evening

Idris Rajabali: Absolutely lovely place for a getaway.Good with the kids, better without 😀It's amazing if you just want to stay in all day or go for long walks or both!

Murray Head: . Was an excellent last minute overnight stay. The kids thought it was great with fairy lights inside, warm log burner. Could see your breath inside on arrival but easy to make it toasty hot inside with the log burner within the hour- they soon shed their onesies. Epic pizzas available for dinner so no cooking needed.Shame we couldn’t make much use of firepit outside thats with each hoglet house since it was cold & drizzling… next time!

Julie Marie Smith: In the morning there is a feathery alarm clock stomping around the place by the name of Earl

Adam Follett: . The chap that runs the place was extremely pleasant and helpful, and you can order from the pizza shack each evening - we had vegan pizzas and they were delicious.

Kenton Sargeant: Fabulous location , excellent facilities, a real quality experience. The pizza cabin is brilliantFood & drinks: Excellent

O Ozmeister: is a favourite of the kids. The mattresses in the huts are in need of renewing and whilst we loved the lack of power to them

jas steers: Excellent site! Clean and environmentally friendly. Staff are very kind and helpful. Will be returning!Food & drinks: Pizza was awesome!

Carey Abbs: It was our first time glamping so was not sure what to expect, the actual wooden house was spacious and mattress was comfortable but the lighting was not really adequate...maybe a bigger solar panel would be the answer! Facilities were spotless and the food was reasonably priced. The guy in the Office was friendly and knowledgeable. A lovely experience

L Y: Very peaceful camping area. The co-pod was cozy, owners were very accommodating. Although I didn't have cooking utensils, they found some for me to use. Definitely will consider returning. If you are needing to charge up your phone before you leave, note that there are charging spots in the shower building.

Anna-marie Walker: Booked oak Lodge for our daughters 16th birthday. Immaculate on arrival, hosts nice and friendly also. Enjoyed the hot tub with the views of the clear skies! and to make it feel more home from home, we enjoyed a visit from a beautiful friendly cat on our last evening.Nice touch on the Sunday when some chocolates were left for the birthday girl!We have already been looking into when our annual leave matches up to try and book again.

Andreas Dittrich: ExcellentLocation: 5/5 …

Anna: Very close to York. It is perfect if you are en route and want to make a stop to visit the city. The facilities are basic, but correct, and the environment is very pleasant.

Andy Rolmanis: Stayed at timber cabin for week with our 2 grandchildren. All very comfortable and in quiet peaceful location on working farm. Had hot tub located outside which was cleaned and checked every day by the very friendly lady on the farm. No Internet on site but 4G worked fine on the occasional time needed to look at weather forecast. Not on faceach or anything like that. Caravan site a couple of miles away with small shop for any essentials, but at a price. Few miles drive in to York for all the main supermarkets to stock up on food and drink. Good place to stay for nice quiet break.

Ben Glover: Lovely site with easy access from the A64. Showers and toilets immaculate and always warm. Staff are so helpful and always looking after the site. Great little playground for kids, can be a bit busy when the site has a lot of occupancy though.Would happily stay again!

Bruce Parker: Good location, short taxi ride into york or 10ish minute car journey. Clean and good tv reception.

Danielle Crawford: The location is spot on, down the road is a retail park and cinema with bowling. The site itself is a lovely size, they have spotless shower blocks and toilets which are very well maintained, and their families room has a big bath tub, shower and toilet which is also a great amenity! We went in January it was quiet and relaxing. The gentleman at the desk was very accommodating and friendly. Lovely gentleman! It was a short drive away from York centre itself. The kids playground was being redesigned so unfortunately we could not comment on that. But a huge green out front and the kids all had fun playing around with lots of space. Would definitely return! 10/10 all rounder.

This time we were staying in Daisy Roundhouse which is truly magical with all manner of quirky little touches to catch your eye, and the log burner makes it very cosy. Kitchen facilities are spotless and well equipped as are the showers and toilets. The work and attention to detail that Wendy & Andrew have put into Acorn Glade is a credit to them both and we even had snow while we were there. They really do think of everything.... Give them a visit, you wont regret it.

Jackie Machin: We stayed at Acorn Glade for an anniversary. It is a haven where you can completely retreat from the world, relax and immerse yourself in the most beautiful surroundings. Wendy and Andrew are fantastic hosts, so warm and welcoming. We stayed in a log cabin by the lake, there were many personalised touches that made staying there feel really special. We are SO glad that we didnt opt for a hotel for the weekend and that we tried glamping instead. All the facilities are immaculate and the kitchen is really well equipped. The bathroom and kitchen facilities are close to all the lodges and yurt which is a huge plus. We spent the day in beautiful York before we arrived, not far in the car. There was a lovely atmosphere on site, everyone was friendly. Most people had stayed before. You can have an afternoon tea delivered to site. I would definitely recommend as a treat! We plan to return. I can imagine it's as beautiful in the colder months as it was in September.

Joanne Jones: This has to be the best holiday I have ever had! Returning to nature with peace and quiet. Wendy and Andrew are the best hosts and nothing is to much trouble. You go with the world on your shoulders and float out of acorn glade so chilled and relaxed. Would recommend it to anyone xxx

Oliver Kane: Acorn Glade is a lovely place. It was filled with enchantment and I loved that I was able to be connected with nature. I found that it was a great place to unwind from daily life and there was so much to do in the surrounding area. Wendy and Andrew were very welcoming and made me feel at home. I would definitely return here again! Loved it. 5 stars is NOT enough for this glamping site!!!

Clare Savory: A joy to meet Sydney, plus his wallaby & alpacas friends too! And a delight to watch a heron as we sipped out morning coffee. We will be back 🙌Nearby activities: York city walks, 3 x Parkruns within 30 minutes drive, plenty of cycling optionsNoteworthy details: Meet the wallabies & alpacas! Board games and wood burner stoves, plus look out for the heron who visits the lake!

Sarah Cannon: The most incredible little hideaway, so peaceful and relaxing! We have stayed here twice now and are planning on returning every year for a much needed break! Wendy and Andrew are incredible and would do anything for you. I can't recommend this place enough. And last but not least, the alpacas! They just roam about freely which is amazing to be around. They will happily let you be up close, I even helped clean one morning, best experience ever!Nearby activities: About a 10min drive from Acorn glade is a little lake called Allethorpe lakeland Park. Here you can do a range of water activities. We done paddle boarding and the aqua park, which were both very fun.Food & drinks: There is a little town about a 20min drive, which has a small selection of pubs, restaurants and takeaways.

Chorley Ground Solutions: was incredible, comfortable, warm & had everything we needed. If you're looking for a break from the rat-race & a weekend of serenity, this is the place you're looking for.

Hannah Hailey: Where to start?? Acorn Glade is such an idyllic place, we honestly felt peaceful the moment we walked in.Wendy and Andrew and their daughter Imogen do everything in their power to make you feel comfortable and boy do they do it well!!We stayed in Daisy which was a their new accommodation and it was absolutely beautiful we had a gorgeous 2 night's sleep and woke to alpacas grazing outside. The whole place is just beautiful and the attention to detail is magnificent. I came following my graduation and I had mentioned this to Wendy, when we arrived there was a card and banners. With little handwritten messages about, this just added to the charm. The shared kitchen is fantastic and it didn't feel like you was fighting to use it.The shared bathroom and toilets where impeccably cleaned. We've already booked again but this time we want to try one of their other accomodations, in fact we want to do them all.Wendy and Andrew deserve the success of this and it's a credit to their hard work!!

Sarah Hill: As first time glampers we didn’t know what to expect from glamping but we had a fab weekend away. Acorn glade is so peaceful,l. We had a lovely welcome from Andrew, and they have such attention to detail and have thought of everything you could possibly need.. loved the quirky furniture and the little extras plus use of the fire pit, gas bbq and being able to go in the rowing boat .. 5 stars isn’t enough and they have set the glamping bar very high and at very reasonable price … the added cheekiness of the alpacas and the lovely Labrador dog and wallaby’s… ocorn glade is amazing… we didn’t want to come home.. we will definitely be booking again 😊 ps I think you have started something with the locally sourced jams and ketchup 🤣

Linda Grant: is great fun.The bathrooms are absolutely spot on too. Spacious, clean and a plug outside should you require a hairdryer

Flaxton Meadows Campsite: what do users think?

Glyn Tindle (TingBiker): Another great stay at Flaxton Meadows over the Easter break. We were greated by new rangers Michael & Louise. Toilets/ showers very clean and the site overall is kept clean and tidy. Small bar on site for a nice pint to end the day.Wishing Michael & Louise all the best and hope all goes well over the season. We'll be back again later in the season.

Jess H: Spent 4 days here and could not have asked for a better stay!Extremely helpful and welcoming people, immaculate toilet and shower blocks and a fabulous, cosy pub where you can buy a pint at the end of your day. Close enough to York city as well as the Dales and more. Made our short camping trip all the more enjoyable. Definitely will return!

Karen Puffett: We booked a stay at a nearby "Tranquil Park Site" that wasn't very Tranquil at all, so popped along to see this site after seeing it on the Internet. It was just beautiful and very peaceful. The staff were amazing and very helpful. We decided there and then to go back to pack our caravan up and move over to Flaxton Meadow immediately. We had a great time. The facilities were modern and very clean and well looked after. Our pitch was twice the size of the other site and the price was £12 per night less too. We are definitely going to be back and have told all our friends about it too. Thanks again 😁

Michael Matthews: Great site set out in the countryside very peaceful all staff very friendly and all facilities spotless just to finish it off a bar on site first time here but will definately be back

Glenn Royston: Great site with fantastic clean facilities. It really is a credit to the owners and staff. On arrival, we were met by Martin, who helped guide us to our pitch. Super fully serviced pitches with lots of space. A lovely bar on site, super dog friendly too with doggy treats. The staff really go out of their way to ensure all is spot on. Will definitely be back.

Jane Flint: over looked a pond and meadow and it was so peaceful. The bar on site is very reasonably priced and a little gem to go to after being out all day exploring

Sarah Widdowfield: Stayed for 1 night in our motorhome, absolutely fantastic, and will return. Very pleasant staff and the on-site pub was lovely. There is a local takeaway that delivers to the site, which was a bonus.Hotel highlights Quiet …
