Morrisons: what do users think?
Jason Chinnian “Jay Cee” There Was A Time Productions: I know it's just Morrisons, but they do have some great selections of products that you can't get elsewhere like their lamb and chicken Tikka samosas. Plus, their deli counter has some fabulous food. Highly recommended and will always pop in to buy foods such as this, especially as you can park for 2 hours for free!!
Peter Wood: Great supermarket, ok prices but it's very large and has plenty of stuff in it. Better than Waitrose in my humble opinion. 10/10 deli as well, I always get the samosas
mary machin: Nice cafe,do a great selection of food to choose from and very reasonably priced.
T S: The male toilets are the most rancid facilities I've ever been in! You legitimately can NOT breath when you walk in!
Bill Clayton: What can I say, Supermarkets are Supermarkets. Morrison's at Foss Island in York is bright and noisy as they all tend to be, so as someone with a Disability, these aspects can be quite challenging. On the plus side, there are lovely wide aisles suitable for wheelchairs and scooters if that's your mode of travel. They have a motorised vehicle with a basket attached which is useful, and a good sized accessible restroom, although it would be good to hear from someone who has tried to access it using a wheelchair. On the supermarket side of things, I think it's well laid out and stocks what you'd expect, but haven't gone down the clothing route as yet as others have. Most covid restrictions have gone although sanitiser is still available at the door. Update 15 Apr 2023, still a good place to shop. Not too happy that they've moved some of the shallow trolleys to the rear doors. They should be available at all trolley points to save those with mobility issues having to search them out.
paul baxter: Great meal deal
Jeanette Munday: My go to supermarket
Andrew Smith: OK no change still a good supermarket
Steve Scrivener: Self check outs are a nightmare
Sin Bad: Very easy to navigate and beautiful staff
Colin Coleman: What can I say, best supermarket in Selby....
Lisa Nicholson: Plenty of choice, there own brands are enjoyable, friendly staff
Karl Fox: Sadly only gets 3🌟's: It's still good shop too get wot you want. But I wouldn't touch with Florist Dept when shopping as lady Called Fiona is on duty, as she is a Downright Ignorant & Unfriendly 🐄 full stop..!!
Jack Longfield: I think this is probably the best stocked supermarket in York for fresh fruit+veg and Meat+Fish (excluding waitrose). That been said I don't visit Asda much so wouldn't know.Everything else is pretty standard for a supermarket.
Stefen Adrian: Everything in one place very clean
York House Cleaning Services: It's a supermarket, well laid out. Toilets need attention and baskets are rarely at the entrance. Other than that, as I say, it's a supermarket 👍😁
Rob Brookes: Food is fuel
Alexander Martin: Meal, with deal :)
Nigel “Jacko” Jackson: Reasonable sized and priced supermarket. Staff are helpful and friendly.
Penny Brown: Delivery cancelled because the app messed up and apparently couldn't take payment? Even though the app worked fine and said payment went through. Gee, thanks! That's really helpful for a disabled person who relys on shopping to be delivered! Why can't they send the delivery out and try again? Guess I'll go back to Tesco!
andrew antczak: I'm sad today the fish shelf was almost empty. Many customers left with nothing.

Los Moros: what do users think?
sam amir: Worked as chef, the owner had not cheffing back ground, dectator no respect for his staff, always looking for staff cause no one can cope with his attitude.Vegetarian options: Can have varieties of vegetarian.
Sheba Kurian: They have a pop-up store in Shambles market and this place is a really good option if you are looking out for wraps. We tried Rose Harissa Chicken Wrap which was delectable and a lovely choice for a happy tummy.
Stine Andreasen: Alt for små portioner i forhold til prisen. I beskrivelsen står der "big plates" og der var 2 små stykker kød
Becky Wignall: Lovely meal out in York. Pretty location and attractive decor inside. The atmosphere is intimate and warm and the service was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, we definitely over ordered but still finished everything and enjoyed every bite!Vegetarian options: There was multiple veggie options available for each course and those we tried we're excellent.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian options available, gluten free was not marked on the menu but on reading the menu ingredients it is likely to be catered for.
revliS zalliroG: Wonderful meal and wonderful staff.
Sonny Ward: I came here with my boyfriend for valentines dinner, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The restaurant was cosy and the staff and guests were all extremely welcoming. The drinks were lovely and the food looked and tasted brilliant. I would definitely recommend Los Moros to anyone looking for a romantic meal in York, as well as food in general. We will certainly be coming back!
J Lee: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
DorDor: It is an excellent quality Arabic food. Friendly staff. I hope that I can book a table online, not by phone. For sure, I will visit it againRecommended dishes Hummus, Flat Bread …More
Jan Conway: Food mainly lovely from the choices we selected. The menu was limited but thats sometimes a good thing. It often allows for expertise on the menu. The food was fresh and cooked to order. I wouldn't personally take children there, well not ones that have a pallet limited to fast foods. On the whole very tasty with reservation on the chicken tagine. The chicken was tender and tasty but the rest if it I believed gave me the impression it was cooked separately and the potatoes were hard and white in the centre. The king prawns were tastyTo end on a positive note. I would visit again. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere was exceptional, made even better by the company of good friends.
Joanne Rawlinson: We loved everything about the food, the service was good. The wine is a little more expensive. The only issue on a freezing evening was going outside to use the bathroom!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Ralph Cater: This is one of the best restaurants we have dined in in YorkService and staff very goodfood excellent
Craig Webster: Amazing! Reviewing before we leave. Meal for 2. Ended up with 7 small plates and 2 large worth every penny! Highly recommend!!!! Highlight for my immie was courgette. Me? Between The Hake, hummus, courgette of prawns lol. Flat breads were awesome too.Vegetarian options: Veggie heaven defo
Jackie Leyland: Amazing food with such flavours! Definitely go again. Try it!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Flat Bread, Mechoui Lamb Shank, Spinach and Feta Bourek, Fried Chicken, Chicken Tagine, Hummus, Persian Chicken …More
Sian Dunn: I’ve been eating here for 4-5 years now and it’s my favourite independent place to eat in York. The flavour of the food is great with such unique dishes. On my last two visits the lamb shank has drastically changed. It’s now just three chewy pieces of lamb with a smear of mash, the mash was typically amazing and a great, albeit, still small portion but now it’s just a drizzle. The whipped feta has been removed from the menu so we opted for the lamb sausages and king prawns - we received three of each. I ordered the quail which, expectedly, was small. However, it just sat on a purée with no carbs of any kind. Both of us left feeling extremely hungry after a starter and main each. I’m not sure whether it’s the cost of living or changes in supplier but the quantity has become such an issue I can’t justify the cost of going back now. It’s a real shame. 2 alcoholic drinks added to the above foods and the bill was £80. I shouldn’t be leaving a restaurant feeling like I haven’t eaten at that price.
Edward Joyner: Really excellent food, highly recommend it! It's not huge so you should always try should book (which is quite difficult because there's no online booking and they're too busy to answer the phone!).Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Elena Leeming: I enjoyed it but very slow service and plates did not come at the same time...Food: 5/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Natalie Martin: I had Baked hake here. It was super delicious. The combination of the simple taste of hake and deep, flavorful mashed beans was terrific. I didn't expect it. Perfect. Will try small plates next time.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Christelle Terzian: Brilliant food. Very professional staff and exceptional service. The food is seasoned and cooked to perfection, nothing could be faulted. Portion sizes are perfect, leaving space for dessert which are beautiful. The atmosphere carefully curated, loved the attention to detail. Seriously the best restaurant I’ve been to in the UK. DO NOT MISS AN OPPORTUNITY TO EAT HERE!!Vegetarian options: Available.Kid-friendliness: I came with a pram and was fine. Lighting dim, music ambient and soft.very clean changing room
jose angel bermudez gil: Absolutely Fantastic. I will back soon
Theocharis Tsironis: Very nice restaurant in the heart of York. Really nice menu, but the highlight is probably the excellent service.Everybody was extremely kind and friendly, especially Zane who was absolutely perfect from start to finish.Well done!Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Morrisons: what do users think?
Eddie Kruk: Nice large car park with easy access, well laid out store
Colinjames Agar: Good friendly service not bad choice of products shelves could do with being filled plenty of car parking
Ed Gallacher: Just stopped to use the cash machines so can't comment on the store inside plenty of parking so store not busy
Carl: Polite friendly staff
Neil Ripley: Confusing layout, not like other stores, quite expensive so didn't end up doing main shop.
S Walker: Helpful as usual
Linda Rushworth: Dont bother going to the cafe it was freezing left my coat hat and scarf on then when food came it was hot for five minutes and freezing after five minutes staff are lovely I dont no how they work in such conditions and it's just as bad in the store I spent 141 pounds last week wont be going again till you get the heating on its disgusting
Jonathan Auty: Needs to hire more staff and do a better job of stocking shelves had to go to two other shops to get etheryrhing I needed
Andy Wilcock: Quiet and had most of what we wanted
Carole Ann Wray: Lovely place. Bought a shirt. Small amount of clothing. Good quality food
Jan Storr: Great
Paul Hutchinson: The staff are great, the content on the shelves less so. Other supermarkets seem to be coping much better with supply chain issues.
Angela Brady: Not my favorite shop
Scott Preston: Really well organised place
Mags Charles: It's a place where you need to go.
Michael Dolan: This is a very large Morrisons and a good place to purchase all your home shopping. A huge variety of products from fresh to frozen, also has a large cafe attached.
Nicola smith: Friendly helpful staff, good quality of food at good price. Cafe and toilet facilities available. Parent and disabled parking available, all parking is free.
Sarah Birch: This store is a total shambles. The cafe staff when we last visted were rude, had to clear dirty tables to sit down.Whenever we have shopped here there are loads of empty shelves. The freezers are broken and several empty or not restocked. Cages of empty card left in aisles. Noticed that this store seems to have inflated prices too!.Latest visit was an absolute disgrace how they treated my Mum whom was made to feel so bad left the store in tears. Complaint is being sent.Wil NEVER set foot in this store or any Morrisons again!
Tracy Holmes: Not impressed, nothing on the shelfs and the diesel was 10p more expensive than their other supermarket's
Liz Dickson: Online shop/click and collect worse than dreadful. Firstly kept waiting more than 15 minutes on Saturday despite email telling me order ready and several messages to them telling them I was waiting. EVEN WORSE I returned 8 of the 9 completely inappropriate substitutions but have been CHARGED for all. Nearly £30 too much as we returned all the substitute wine. I’m currently on phone to customer services for second time to sort this out-the very young obviously untrained boy did not process the returns according to the store. Since Morrisons lost several long standing employees click and collect is unworkable. Many months ago I switched to Tesco with no problem but stupidly was lured back by £10 online discount which has so far cost me £30. NEVER again.
patricia wray: I use this one once a week when I pick my grandchildren up from school

Asda Killingbeck Superstore: what do users think?
andy “monster” Smith: Asda as a whole has gone down the pan since it was sold recently to some Asian brothers, I haven't shopped at Asda for 2 years but all I hear now is empty shelves, clueless staff,I hope it goes out of business and someone with proper retail knowledge takes over, until that happens I'll stick with tesco they are always on top of their game in the retail sector
Andy Clark: It's an asda, its busy most times. Fruit section good, veg does not seem to last 2 minutes
Asiya Bi: The staff that work on self serve can be very rude and not welcoming. I have attended this Asda numerous amount of times and the amount of times I have seen these staff speak so awfully about customers, everytime I go they are gossiping about customers. One instance they even were laughing and undermining a South Asian lady because she did not know how to use the self service system properly. Very appaled.
Sam Dodgson: It's ok
Gemma Westmoreland: Stock is a bit hit and miss you aren't always guaranteed to be able to complete as your shopping list and checking dates is a must as sometimes you can find out of date products in bakery and fresh
lorenzonk FAMILY: Really good for everything you need watch for prices though,
Ho Tai Yeung: Shirley is an excellent pizza chefshe makes pizza very quickly, efficiently and is very nice towards the guest.even under great pressure and large amount of order. She makes me dedicated to pizza in Asda and gets it every week
Darren Woolsey: Spacious shopping area, convenient parking. Efficient, fast and friendly staff
Mambo Kore: Everything you expect buying for home and food also dress, shoes....
Noble Family: Avoid click and collect, after accepting many substituted items to avoid hassle all of our frozen good were missing. After requesting a refund it says 48hr for a review a further 24hr to refund then a further 3-5 days to receive payment. so potentially 8 days to get my money back. cheers
Mark Mcgrady: Absolutely falling apart this shop , expect to queue for at least 30 mins , never seen such a shambles in my lifeClearly having. Visit from head office today as the staff are actually working there's people on tills and someone being the checkout runner ,Interesting to know if there is a very because this isn't the usual standards
Alex Clifford: Took my 2 sons in and they ate for a £1 each in Asda cafe - meal and a drink. Cafe nice, clean and food good quality. Staff were great after I didn’t realise a drink was included and went out of their way to ensure kids got one. Very grateful, thank you Asda staff
Dawn Adams: Short of a few things I wanted shelfs not always stocked up recently.
Eddie wake: Always what I need
Gabriel Munteanu: Good fresh products
Hazel Mackintosh: Friendly cashier. I hate food shopping at the best of times but was able to get what was needed and quickly served plenty of cashiers on.
Janine Barrs: Absolutely disgusted that a staff member found the money i had dropped and gave it to another person.Went here on sunday and i accidentally dropped a money bag with £150 inside it at the self serve check outs. I had got to the car when i realised it what had happened. I instantly returned to the self serve check out and ask the lady working there if she had found it. She had so i was relieved and initially greatful however what she didn't tell me was that she had given it to another customer. The security at the doors started looking through the footage and after some time said he couldn't see anything. I told him the staff member told me she picked up the money. So he looked again he said the only thing i had in my hand was my phone and to look inside my phone. I showed him at this point i was get frustrated and returned to the self service with another security guard. She told him that she had given MY money to an african lady wearing green trousers because she looked like she had lost something (she was patting her pockets) and asked her if MY money belonged to her ahe said yes so she handed it to her.So back to the other security man the one i was with explained it to him and found everything on the footage. The man at the screens looked at me and says she left the store now. So i am getting distressed at this time because this has taken at least 20 to 25 minutes, I could have had my money back had he looked properly the first time. He then said 'what do you want me to do its a police matter now.'Im pretty sure protocol is if a member staff find something on the shop floor they have to hand it in to the desk or manager, not showing random people the cash and asking if it belongs to them.As for speaking to a manager its no go i was supposed to get a call this morning it didn't happen and after going into the store the manager couldn't give two hoots and say it will be dealt with in house. The police are now involved.Edit due to response: the manager who was in on the 26th of February did not call the following morning. The manager who was in on the 27th of February was not interested. They are fully aware and do not care. The chances are i will not see MY money again which i would have if the staff member had followed protocol. Then to add insult to injury had the man sat at the security screen had actually listened the woman who had been given my money could have been stopped. I'm lucky as i have people around me that have been able to help me out financially as i only do part of my shopping in asda but i will not be doing any now.
Crown Flexi lease ltd: Just bin to the money exchange counter to change 100 saudi ryal to British pounds, the lady with the dark hair looked at the knotes because they were crumbled she wouldn't exchange the money, only one of the notes was torn, she told me they were all torn and worn out, told me to go elsewhere not good service at all, they are not worn out because you can see the full print on them, she certainly looks like she likes her job miserable cow. Tell your staff to be polite to customers, I'd be more than happy to bring the knotes in to show your manager.
G A: Super store
Explore With Son & Me: It’s a well stocked store, can get extremely busy. Don’t expect to get a family parking bay as there’s only about 5. The toilets are absolutely disgusting too.
Paul Beattie: Very poorly stocked and managed store. Often missing many items. Asda have also been increasing prices a lot and combined with the poor stock situation you’re often forced into buying even more expensive alternatives. Prices on the shelf are frequently wrong too as labels aren’t changed when they should. When you contact staff or Asda about the issues they don’t care.Much better supermarkets around.

Bluebird Bakery: what do users think?
Josh Brailsford: I visited York today for the first time in ages, and I must return soon if only to revisit Bluebird Bakery. I popped in this afternoon for something sweet, and came away with a Honey & Spelt Cake. Sadly I can share no evidence of this with you as it disappeared rather quickly! I cannot recommend them enough - delicious!
Neill Horie: Fantastic bread, particularly recommend the seeded sourdough and the brownies.
satyris410: Not impressed, got a ciabatta that just is not a ciabatta. You can't just throw some flour on the top of a white loaf and call it ciabatta. Also I get the feeling that this loaf was more than 24 hours old at the time I bought it. Seriously unimpressed
Mia L: Fantastic baked goods!! It’s not a sit down cafe or restaurant but definitely go in and get some bread and pastries. The best chocolate croissant I’ve ever had, such flavorful dough. The rosemary and sea salt focaccia is great. They have great pastries you just need to get them before they sell out.
Halit Sencan: It was truly incredible. Low amount of reviews because it’s not too visible, but the sweets were fresh and amazing. Must try the spelt cake!
Emelda Tan: Bought the 7 seeded sourdough bread and it was just the right amount of consistency.
Sabrina Meek: I picked up one of your delicious cinnamon rolls today. So big and hot the spot with my coffee!
Katie Brown: Really excellent bread
Josep Cors: Loved the city, York 🇬🇧, loved the market place, loved the street location, loved the shop… and really loved the food! Freshly made daily. Quaint decor to match the entire setting. A quite varied delicious selections. We enjoyed a tasty unique creation, a tomato 🍅 and olives rolled in a seasoned baked pasty. Delish! We engaged in a conversation w the lovely lady running the shop, perhaps the owner. Describing their bake process made this taste even better! 😁
Musleh Jameel: Good quality bread and pastry. No seating area and they don’t have a machine to slice the sourdough.
Elise Going: Bakes and prices are excellent, with a range of sweetness profiles that are suitable for all. Being able to get a drink there as well would perhaps add to the experience but their excellent baking is their cornerstone and a certainly worthy one. I'd definitely recommend the cinnamon roll - easily one to share though as it was similar in size to my head. A delightful little place.
Tony P: Great product!
Monica Pulluri: Got a jalapeno and mushroom focaccia here and it was really soft and flavoursome. Would come back for sure.
Ellie sanders: Came here to pick up some pastries so was a little disappointed to see that it was mainly breads. Did pick up some hot crossed buns but they lacked any spices in there so it was a bit plan
Beth Stones: Such delicious bread! We tried a cheese twist so delicious and flavoursome, a seseme seed flapjack lovely and the caramel shortbread incredible the caramel is absolutely amazing!Lovely little shop aswell!
Marc Thomas: Consistently beautiful bread. Pastries look great but haven't sampled them yet. One star down for service where the young staff aren't very communicative.
Seb The Globetrotter: Absolutely amazing and delicious bread. I cannot get enough of the 7 seeds - sourdough bread, it is definitely my favourite. The staff is always helpful and pleasant. If Carlsberg would do bread, they would ask Bluebird Bakery for the recipe.
Jonny Nsofor: Do not even bother trying anywhere else in york for brownies, this place has the best I’ve ever tried consistently hands down!
j lee: Not all that special average bread .over priced .
Daniel Simpson: The produce of the Bluebird bakery is outstanding - you can tell it is all made from scratch and of fantastic quality. The brownie and caramel slice are absolutely delicious and I can recommend for anyone! Located in York’s beautiful historic “Shambles”, this lovely authentic bakery fits in perfectly.
Pen Coles: I've been waiting a long time for Bluebird to open their doors in Acomb! How blessed the area is now! The best bread, interior and team. Totally recommended, it's a cracker.
