York Wholesale Meats: what do users think?
stephen lindsay: I've been using Yorkshire wholesale meats for a while now I live in Scotland and I wouldn't go anywhere else now staff on the phone are fantastic really lovely to talk to the deals and meat are amazing love the tomahawk steaks and stew which I use to make steak pie everything I've ever had has been first class. Thanks for the fantastic deals
Simon Lansell: Top quality meat great delivery service, been going for many a years, feds the family for a month to 6 weeks when I do an order, tasty food
Dawny Watson: First time ordering got chicken breasts, sirloin steaks, Pork belly slices and gammon steaks. The ordering process was very simple, delivered as booked, came in a box with ice packs. All of the meat has cooked very well, the chicken breasts were huge, sirloin steaks were exceptional, pork slices were amazing in the airfryer, and the gammon steaks were not too salty and were extremely tasty with no water pouring out of them when cooked. Will definitely order again, highly recommend this meat supplier. Exceptional produce.
Lee Evans: I’ve been a customer for a year or so. The meat has always been excellent quality and value. Delivery is excellent with friendly drivers who turn up when expected. Very pleased and I plan to be a customer for years to come.
Jennifer Eiles: We have been using York Wholesale Meats for a number of years. We've always had fabulous quality meat! We love ypur pigs & blankets and this year the addition of the sausage stuffing balls wrapped in bacon (please bring them back year after year). I wish i had a photo to show but before we knew it, they were gone!
Simon Galtrey: Wish your closing times were up to date ! Shop board says 17:30 on Saturdays website says 16:30 went down at 15:00 to pick up collection and it was closed !!!
Kirsty: Yummy meat, and the deals are brill, highly recommend
MrGordon16: Hi there from Somerset we have had 2 orders from you 48 sirloin steaks and your Turkey/beef/chicken/pork chops/and sausages wow all perfick so after we have eating nearly all you will have order number 3 , as your price is out of this county so it’s a SOMERSET THANK YOU regards J D GORDON .
Ray Langley: The quality of the produce is not in doubt, BUT, the online ordering is a nightmare, especially if a error is made. The basket is difficult to find, trying to amend it again is a struggle, 1st time I tried to order one of the offers, it tried to order 2 packs, I didn’t bother after trying to sort it out, just tried a second order( I forgot what happened last time) and exactly the same. Awesome meats etc, horrific web site.
5000christ: Excellent delivery service, excellent products and value for money, what's more to say.We particularly love the steaks, sausages and joints not to mention the minced beef.
dean eiles: About time I did a review, we have been using York Wholesale Meats for a few years now. We enjoy the fantastic service we get from them. We have had BBQ, freezer filler, bronze Xmas packs since they opened up at York business park. All meat is top quality and needless to say, we will always shop there.

Almir Costa: Good quality steak and good value for money, I used to buy my meat from Aldi, but no more. I always keep an eye on the promotions, even got some free gourmet burgers, a real treat.
sara cv saunby: Always fabulous service and value for your money.. I Always get my meat from them as they are the best in York..

Makkah International Foods Ltd: what do users think?
Hasan omar: It is ok
Olurotimi Emmanuel: They have nice things but mostly Asian stuff. They have less Nigerian stuff but you can still good numbers of African foods at a good price compared to other shops have been to.
Sabid Hossain: exorbitant prices compared to other middle eastern/asian food shops in York. Unpleasant environment and poor cleanliness. Really narrow aisles which makes it impossible to fit more than one person and usually one of us have to back off to make way. but mainly my issue is the unreasonable price tags.
unal akdemir: Just okay!
Allan Foster: Good friendly and helpful staff with wide range of food
John Kula: Very good variety
Ali Al shermari: is everything very expensive
Marcello Pinna: Lovely product fresh fruit
P Alhadi Sembiring: Cozy and friendly
Zerrin Altiokka: It is a convenient store. You can find many middle Eastern vegetable and food with good price. The reason for deduction of two stars is cleanliness of the store. It is a bit dusty around and always something smells not pleasant.
Luthfa Kashem: A large variety of halal foods available.
Charlotte Genever: Great shop
Aabishkar Aryal: Great place to buy spices and other food items
Richie Haswell: Great place for everything. It's about the only place in York that sell red chillies. Hot ones!! We buy and freeze them just take them out when we need them!
NASSER MIRZAI-BAGHINI: Friendly people serving customers and they ask if I needed help. Nice and tidy supermarket. Mainly selling Asian foods.
James Hogg: Great selection of food and drink here. Lists of variety from Eastern European, Middle Eastern and South East Asian food. Plenty of new things to try!
Farhan Khan: Fantastic placefresh halal meat and chicken
York city: Some products have expired, please do not sell them
Craig Genner: Great for international foods you can't get at the local supermarkets and corner shops.
Jackie Yorke: Always helpful
Richard Weighell: What a fantastic place to shop and find every spice you need, and the staff are very good.

Sunshine Oriental Supermarket: what do users think?
A MacMillan: Doesn’t deserve one star. Went in other day as husband wanted something. The rude girl ignored us on walking in, and when I said hello and smiled, she fleetingly looked up from the cash desk, did a sarcastic teeth smile, which disappeared a nano-second later, and looked down again. Pushed past us, literally, as we were looking at goods. As others say, you do not deserve any business and people need to stop using you. “Sunshine” ??!! I don’t think so.
Marshall Hitipeuw: This store is awesome for what it is. Products that you can't find anywhere else line the walls, fresh imported produce (love the aubergines) are always stocked, and you can buy essentials (noodles, spices, paste) in bulk as well.
Tom Hiskey: The cashier was at the other end of the shop, saw me waiting to pay, and ever so slowly rearranged things on the shelves while leisurely making their way back to the counter. Proper deliberate rudeness. I’d been in once before, and they were equally glum. Almost amusingly bad. Almost.
Claire Moulton-Brown: We were sold out of date food and the staff are often very unwelcoming.
張登貴: Why is that rude cashier still there? I’m amazed by how bad the service is lol
El kat: Wow. Such a rude cashier.
T: They need to be made aware that they are no longer in China. Some sociable interaction must prevail. Do not waste you money or time going there. If they don't need the customers they can shut down and move out!If I could give -5 stars I would.
Zhao George: really bad
gareth rees: Incredibly rude girl on the counter. I’ve previously seen them selling Tesco eggs for lots more than the original price. I don’t think Tesco would be too happy if they knew about that.
Sam Sheldon: Ignore all the complaints about customer service! The cashier took the time to tell me about a deal I had missed. Great selection too!
Min Domoto: Trouble store !!! The product price shows £1.99 /100g but charged 2.89. Staff did not refund the money back after I argued. Staff is cheating
Martin Scott: Person behind the counter is grumpy as heck, not sure if they ever have anyone else on.
Vanita Bhardwaj: Horrible customer service, super unfriendly staff. Would never recommend going, doesn't even carry any special groceries or products. If I could leave half a star I would, and that's just because it's in a good location.
Isabel Fernandez: Terrible customer service! I politely asked the lady about the item that I grabbed to make sure that I was buying the one I needed. Instead of helping me to understand what it says in the bag she just looked at me in a sarcastic way. If that lady is the owner then im so sorry but never coming back there! Red chili supermarket is way better :p
Jez Snape: Haha. I can’t believe I’m taking the time to leave a review but they took customer service to a all time low. We asked a question about an item and the reply was no followed by some Chinese. My dad knows a smattering of the language and knew she was basically telling us we were stupid ! Didn’t even bother to look up from her phone ! It was that bad it was funny :)
Meena Valji: Very expensive shop, over priced. It's in an area where university students live. I feel sorry for them they can't afford expensive stuff. Keep reasonable price and they will sell stuff. I won't go back in that shop.
Junbo Zhao: Even the over-date food is sold!
Rob S: Very unhelpful staff, tried asking for a couple of products but was met with the reply "not chinese". I walked around for a bit to see if I could find it myself but nothing was translated. I thought she was coming over with the item I wanted but just brushed past me to stock shelves. Would not recommend.
Colin W: They have lots of good seaweed! Friendly staff and fantastic opening hours
HWASUN LEE: Ths staff always speaks in Chinese rather than English to an Asian person. Also, she played online card game. I was supposed to get a bag because I bought it. However she forgot and played the game. I know working at supermarket is really hard. However the staff needs to be more careful to the customers
Joel Russell: Awful service. No smiling, no eye contact, no talking, literally browsing the internet as she was waiting for my card to go through, when it did she took another few seconds to hand me it back. It's hard to express when service is terrible - usually you get a feeling that someone is busy or just in a bad mood, this was just terrible, lazy and unfriendly service, and the most memorably bad service I've had in a long long time.

Sam Jayne: Gorgeous little street
Adam Newsome: Love this place. The food is Amazing!
Simon Watt: Lots to do and seen
Samantha Hayward: Our first time here. Loved every minute of it. It was very busy when we visited this could be due to it being a bank holiday but it added to the atmosphere. Would love to come back again.
Nikki Jackson: Lovely place great stalls!
Anthony Green: Touristy, shops promote Harry Potter merchandise.
David Brown: Medium sized market but tends to cater for the tourists rather than the locals. It's mostly arty crafty stalls with a selection of food & drinks vendors.
Dawn Hobbs: Went at weekend, if I went again I'd go on a week day, it was packed.
Phill Burton: Lots of stalls lots of choices
J Nerosa: Beautiful steet, very busy during the day and nice and quiet at night. Some great photos opportunities. Very Harry Potter like
Marco Antonio Chivardi Antonio: Me encantó, es una experiencia medieval, sus casas inclinadas y el mercadito toda la comida que venden esta exquisita, de diferentes países.
TheLewylew: Busy but the food is great, I'd recommend the hotdog stand. The market itself is good, there's a hat stand is good, mens hats are good quality, women's, not so much. Unfortunately it fell apart when I bought it. Good, traditional market, very beautiful.
Kimberlee Lofink: The Shambles is a fascinating place full of history and hidden gems. I highly recommend arranging for a private walking tour with a guide.
Nicola Mason: Great food stalls
Nicole Crane: So so
David Tattum: Atmosphere is great, great selection of markets, easy to navigate
Andreea Dragoescu: A fairytale place.
Adam Margolis: Lots of energy. Quieter in the mornings. Crowded on long holiday weekends. Lots of options for foods and little shops/tents set up around the tent city.
C Russell: Nice little place with no pushy sales
Vanja Zezelic: Absolutely fantastic place! Almost like a historical-fantasy film set, especially the alley that doubles as Diagon Alley from Harry Potter. Amazing scenery and quite lively atmosphere.

Anita Chilvers: Absolutely loved this find! We walked along the wall and stumbled across this pub! Myself and my sisters had a lovely afternoon!
Lynne Anderson: This is by far one of the best places we have stayed. The atmosphere during our stay was lovely and that was down to the staff who were friendly, helpful and humerous.I can't say enough good things about the food. We had the steak and ale pie both nights because it was so good. The breakfasts were such good quality and the woman on shift both days was a wee gem.At night we sat outside and had good views of York minster. The room was old fashioned as to be expected in such an old building and that was pleasant and only added to the good vibe of the place..We stayed in room four, great comfortable bed and good views of the arch outside. We loved hearing the bells chime.Lynne and JohnNearby activities: Mins from the centre, visited the Jorvic centre and the shambles. We also went to the golden fleece inn. It's a place you can amble about going into pubs alhe along the way and enjoy the atmosphere.Safety: Like any place you visit, no particular safety issues. Felt safe and busy enough to walk around at night.Noteworthy details: Feel good vibe. You feel transported back in time. Loved that you could open the window up.We used the Mary gate car park, no problems parking and just a few mins walk from the hotel. No hastles at all and good price.
Gill Cox: Thank you for a lovely stay at your unique hotel, all the staff were great, loved the Secret Garden, food excellent, fantastic location. Only one tiny 'gripe' - no shelf in shower to put shower gel/shampoo (Room 1). Otherwise faultless.Walkability: So close to centre of York
John Murphy: Called in whilst in York. It's a very nice quirky pub with a secret garden. The beer was nice and tried the fat badger ale 🍺.We really enjoyed the atmosphere an booked a table to take friends for a meal in a couple of week.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Romantic …More

Georgia Wilde: Warm, cozy and perfect!Looking for a traditional stay in a little hotel that's located far enough away from the main city centre that it's nice and quiet but close enough to all the sightseeing spots and popular destination? You've found it!Stayed here just for the night whilst exploring York on my own and I couldn't have asked for anything better. If you want to treat yourself to being fully emersed in York this is the place you want. All the mains spots including York Minister, The Shambles and York Museum are all within a 15 minute walk with a variety of spots to eat on the doorstep so you don't feel limited to staying in the hotel. Rooms are small and snug, perfect if you're looking for something easy and staff are so polite and lovely. Made my first adventure to York a delight! Can't wait to come back again!Rooms: Small and snug, the rooms are great for adventurers and those who like to immerse themselves in their travels. Greeted by the badger himself every time you go up and down stairs, the rooms have a classic and ageless design with everything you need - Storage, plenty of pillows and sheets and modern TV's to keep you entertained. The pipes may make some noises when you run hot water, but that's the beauty of staying local and vintage! My window was right next to my bed, so in the morning I let in a wonderful Spring morning breeze when I woke up. Some of the floorboards creak and you can hear noises downstairs and in other rooms but to me, that was just the cherry on top for a homely feeling. It's traditional, simple and true to the brand, so if you're looking for a easy, hassle free stay and you're not fussy, then you've found the perfect spot!Nearby activities: You can find everything you want to within a 15 minute walk max, including York Minister, The Shambles, Fairfax House, York Castle and The National Railway Museum. There's also a local pop up market and plenty of little boutique and local shops if you want to support local businesses and the high street's just round the corner for those looking to splash the cash. You're spoilt for choice for food and drink too, ranging from you're popular destinations like The Fat Hippo or Wagamama's to spots like Teddy Bear Tearooms and Sanwitches Café. Even just walking around and exploring if you're not looking to spend much can pass the day quickly, including the Museum Gardens and the City Wall Walks, and a rich history in every direction. For those who are thrill seekers, there's the Ghost Tours and York Dungeons to keep you happy! In short - You certainly won't be bored in York, every corner you turn there's something different, and options are available for every budget! and all on the doorstep of the Fat Badger.Walkability: The hotel's location is about 10-15 minutes away from York station and right on the doorstep of York Minister leading on to the Shambles. What makes it great is that it's location is nice and quiet being far enough away from the main centre but only a 5 minute walk away from exploring all the essential spots of York. For those who mobility is a bit of a struggle, there's plenty of buses running and even a mobile service running from the National Railway Museum to York Centre to skip the walk from the station!Food & drinks: Breakfast. lunch and dinner can be booked with the hotel themselves or found within a 5 minute walk, ranging from Wagamama's to Valhalla to boutique tea rooms! Whatever you fancy - You'll defiantly find whatever suites you. Pubs, Cafe's, Tea Rooms, Bakeries, Bars, Tapas and more. My personal favourite is SOPHiE, which you'll find on the balcony of the river, a perfect coffee and quiet moment spot. If you're dining with the hotel, you'll be treated to a lovely, cosy dining room and extensive menu, with staff more than happy to make arrangements for you and offer variety for every palette and diet.Noteworthy details: Staff are such a delight - From checking in, to breakfast, to checking out, all of them greeted me with a smile and said hello each time we crossed paths. They'll get you sorted with everything you need for your stay and more and lovely to speak to.

Our train arrived early and the front desk allowed us to store our bags until it was time to check in. When we arrived back to check in our bags were placed neatly in our room. It feels like a bed and breakfast. If we go back to York I will make sure to stay here again.Walkability: Near the heart of York and just a short walk to the Shambles.Food & drinks: This hotel has a great pub and restaurant.
Paul Whittaker: Great beer garden, nice friendly staff, decent selection of drinks. We ordered a few tapas with our drinks, and they were tasty BUT the portion size of the garlic bread was shockingly small. Three slices of bread for a fiver, come on guys, that’s shameful!

Tesco Express: what do users think?
Sebastian Squires: Girls a bit dim. Can't even work a till or bring up your club card. Maybe train um?
Andrew spark: Plenty of Self serve checkouts decent range of foods if in a hurry can not be bothered to trapes around a large superstore.
Ally: -Large long store-Decent vegan options-Self service tills
Hana Khopova: Široká nabídka potravin
Denise Glanville: The indian girl doesn't say hi to customers. Even when you say hi to her she doesn't say hi back. She also made fun of another customer who was wheelchair bound
Sie Barlow: Good location with a fair range of fresh food and produce, but not a great selection and far more costly than usual Tesco stores. Ideal for convenience and grabbing food and snacks on the go though
issie dalby: extremely rude security staff. will not go back to this store. i bought a crate of beer and when I left a security guard followed me out and said my purchase hadn’t been approved. I told him it had and showed my ID. Another security guard then came out and accused me of not paying and made me go back inside (they wouldn’t let my boyfriend come in with me) and tried to get me to repay even though I showed them my bank statement showing I had purchased it. They took me to a broken till and said I had broken it (it wasn’t the till I had paid on). No staff were involved until a lad came over and told them I wasn’t on that till and I could go.
Julie Kelly: Only called in for milk but all seemed fine
Ian Luke: Great store good staff
A G: Typical Tesco, has the basics, good shop.
maxxo: absolute jobsworth security guard!went to m&s in the end, WILL NEVER VISIT AGAIN
Philip Ashmore: Like all little tesco it was good 👋
David Tyrrell: A total rip off of a store, the prices change around the UK
Ruth Nash Horne: Great atmosphere 🤗
Bill Gates: MIOLKEY STARS GONE UP 50 P BLOOD
전종국: 한국라면 판다
NoTeam M: Handy when your just looking for a snack
Mateusz: Good shop.
Russell Holden: Handy Tesco for popping into when in town for sandwiches, drink etc. If you are looking for a great selection of food, veg, drinks and household products this is the place to come. Spacious and bright with friendly staff always willing to assist. Prices aren't too bad either!
Aziz Davlatov: Has a variety of grocery and personal hygiene options. Meal deals are quite attractive too.
David Buckley: Convenient and cheap but can get a little claustrophobic when busy and there's a busy bus stop right outside the entrance to the shop that cloggs the pavement up even when quiet.

Tesco Express: what do users think?
mick knapton: Quick and easy
T Scott: Good size of store and selection of food. Very good location as well.
Denise Glanville: The male cashier on duty on Sunday 14/11/2021 16:30pm doesn't say hi to customers
lewisner: Recently moved near this shop so it is now my local. As others have said some of the staff are quite surly to the extent that if I see them serving I will shop elsewhere. There's also a woman begging all day every day beside the front door.
Jay Francis: Second time in the place: moved to York two weeks ago. Truth: this shop is ruined by the present workers of whom are rude.As someone who uses the workers checkout if I (prefer) to pay cash as some people just do sometimes, i'm both times now treated (not greeted) with an attitude. As a former worker of these types of customer-service jobs years back when, this is not acceptable at all. 'If you hate your job, QUIT. don't take your life out on the person wanting to walk in and go about their day.'
Andrew Smyth: Great staff
Phoebe R: Came in at 10PM midly tipsy and grabbed many fantastic snacks. The awesome store guy who served us was great and very polite!
Joe cockrem: Great convenience
Paul S: Great store in City Centre although the checkouts were wet and not clean at the staffed checkout in the place where we had to put our items and not a pleasent smell with a homeless dude at the next checkout although I know that probably can't be helped due to the cruel world we live in where the Gov./Councils should provide everyone a place to keep warm and shower like they do with refugees etc.
Susan Malloy: A lovely small shop, friendly helpful staff, I will be back.
Graham Winn: Was accused of shoplifting despite using self service checkout that has a camera attached to it. Was stopped in middle of street by employee who asked if I’d payed for it! Bunch of amateurs
Laura R: The girl behind the till was very helpful.
Christopher J Smith: Straight in Straight out no fuss. Got what we wanted
Arti Nat: The people who work there are very friendly and helpful, the little shop is ideal for me being just around the corner, very handy indeed.
Kevin Whitehouse: In and out no queuing
Frederick Maw: Friendly
Kim Adams: Staff are pleasant, helpful & cheerful even when they are busy. Would like more choice in food but it is a small store.
Telmo Machado: Improve costumer service
Liam Parkinson: Literally the worst Tesco I've ever used. The bakery is always empty on a morning, when people are most likely to buy it.They bring stock cages onto the floor to work them as opposed to using smaller trolleys. The shop is already very uncomfortable to navigate without the extra obstacles blocking the aisles. The range is pretty average. Most of the team are in scruffy uniform, chatting amongst themselves about things inappropriate to discuss in public. The security guard is constantly on his phone. It's clearly just a mismanaged and forgotten store. I dred having to use it for anything and will often detour elsewhere. You have a couple of exceptions with one or two nice members of the team, but they're wasted on this place sorry.
Patricia Foley: Can get a few things not the best choice
Lynsey Yeardley: Quick and convenient

Browns Of Heslington: what do users think?
Michelle Thompson: Amazing sandwiches, fresh bread, cakes - great value. Lovely staff so friendly. Love this place
Dominic Spengler: Some lovely sandwiches — especially the mint and lamb is worth trying. If you’re after something healthy or vegan 🌱 you’re in the wrong place though. It’s changed quite a bit over the years but their sandwiches are remarkably consistent over the past 12 years that I’ve gone to get them :)
Colin Hauge: Best sandwiches in the universe
Melvin: I've been coming here for years and its always been very good. Its basically a sandwich shop but when I say sandwich you get a baguette type thing with a good amount of proper filling (i.e. it'll actually fill you up). They also sell things like pasties, sausage rolls, cakes and stuff, and its properly home made. Prices are OK, its about £3 for a sandwich but they're a good size. My only slight criticism would be that you cant pay by card, but in fairness to them it is a small business and there is a cashpoint at the bank just down the road so not really a problem.
Nick Clark: Really nice food. Good range of different sandwiches and snacks. Very traditional village sandwich shop
Thomas Middleton: Probably the best sandwiches in the world
JoeGW 420: I had been to this bakery every day I was working in York. The pies, pasties and rolls are always hot and fresh. The sandwiches are also fresh that day too. As well as sweet treats, I'm sure many locals would say a bakery of perfection. Best time for availability would be anytime before 11:30am. After this time you be disappointed to find your favourites already sold, not to say your eyes will not be caught by another product, for sure! The interior is qaint. Mystic one might say. With being from the bussling city of Manchester, its not very often I stumble across such a place. The staff are very friendly and the bakery is very fair priced. I would visit again indefinetly when next visiting/working in York. Well worth checking out!
kim wilson: Sandwiches were absolutely gorgeous. Great service too
WarlandWriter: Decent sandwiches, but the employees always come across as though you're annoying them by coming to the store.
mike eames: Always excellent service and the quality and selection of sandwiches is outstanding. Browns has a great reputation for their products and it is justifiably so... If you are looking for the best locally, pay them a visit - you won't be disappointed.
Elif Bayhan: They have the best fresh sandwiches in York! 🥪
Steven O'Malley: Returned 15 years after leaving Uni to find that Browns still makes delicious, fresh sandwiches. Highly recommended.
Typical Beauty Grus: I ordered a ham and cheese panini and was presented with this. To say I am disappointed is an understatement especially after having paid £4.95 for it.
nik cann: Undefeated heavyweight sandwich champion of the world 🏆
David Millar: There is no greater sandwich shop than this in the whole world, trust me I've spent 15 years searching for one to beat it!
Maya Raza: A staff member was a bit rude but sandwiches were lovely

The Balloon Tree Farmshop & Cafe: what do users think?
Steven Harris: We came for breakfast while staying nearby. Can not fault the quality of the food and the service. All the staff were extremely professional and welcoming.
Tracey Ann Summers: Dirt cheap cheese for the toastie, horrible. Grainy texture.
Dave Walters: Lovely freshly made food. Clean and comfortable large cafe. Very busy when we visited so there was a short queue for a table and a bit of a wait to have our order taken. Food arrived quickly once ordered.
renee smith: Posh
Caroline Armitage: Nice outside area tables individually covered ideal if you have a dog 🐕 as they can't go inside just had a drink very good service
mike's: Good selection of goods and gifts . We got there later in the afternoon. The cafe had sold out if a lot of things on the menu . Prices above average
timmy “Tiger” breen: Stopped here on our way back from holiday and it was lovely. I got fresh milk from the machine outside where cbame directly from the cows nice and creamy so brought home 4 bottles. The items inside were great value for money and just as cheap as the supermarkets. Cafe was pricey so we only ordered drinks and some cakes, i would recommend the key lime pie any day
Andy Gibb: Great service and wonderful place for a catch up, huge thanks to the staff for bringing out the birthday cake perfectly timed.
farming: Best farm shop/ cafe I've been to
John Huke: I didn't take any photos but you know the format. What I will say was that there was a lot of small batch produced local goods and speciality drinks (Gin's etc.) Freindly staff, in-house bakery. Loads of parking. Oh and a milk dispensing machine. The sausage rolls and pork pies and pastries are fantastic.
James Hodgkinson: Beautiful location, although traffic was horrible, so make sure you set off early.Kas greeted us and was very helpful with a friendly smile to take us to our table and got us a highchair en route without being prompted.Hot meal options were a touch limited, but the fish and chips were absolutely amazing. The quality was unbelievable and beat almost every fish and chips I have ever had. When paying at the till, we noticed they had other activities for the little one, and we were able to pay for these at the time. She had a great time with it!I would highly recommend going here.
Richie Haswell: Love this place, the food and service is always great and a beautiful store for organic food. 👍
Kate C: Incredibly overpriced and mediocre food. Ordered kids all day breakfast, got one sausage, tiny pot of beans and fried egg with a bit of toast, looked pathetic on the plate. Toastie is almost £10 for a couple of slices of bread and filling, half a bag of crisps and a few salad leaves! Extortionate and won’t be returning.
Graham Irving: Tea and cake beautiful , staff great, definitely worth a visit
Chris Jones: Balloon Tree excellent as always, food top notch and a fantastic farm shop to boot!
Jeremy Stonehouse: Stopped by for an impromptu lunch stop. We were really pleased. The quality of food was excellent.Lovely surroundings.Dogs only allowed outside which knocks a point off for me.
Mel Raper: Had a nice meal good service friendly staff
Giselle Poon: we bought lemon curd cake today but staff packed the cake very unprofessionally, no where look like a cake anymore.
Reg Sidebottom: Excellent service. Real food 😋 Atmospheric and local produce. I don't visit here often which makes it an extra treat when I do. The cafe however was a disappointment in that there wasn't, much in the way of good home cooked hot meals. I had cheese on chips which was really tasteless. Cheap and cheerful rubbish cheese on microwaved style dry fries which become a drag to eat. Shan't be using that cafe again.
Brian David Moore: Very up market food - cafe is well used
Declan Flynn: Always an interesting selection of products! However, not as good as it used to be! Seems now that the farm shop takes second best to the restaurant area! Shame really.

Shambles Kitchen: what do users think?
Jordan Lombard: Lived up to its name, visited this and along with a couple other York favorites.
Ben Taylor: First time visiting Shambles kitchen, and I have to say they were some pretty amazing sandwiches. That certainly curb that hunger whilst we were rambling round the town.Highly recommend calling in whilst on ya traves round York. Bit on the pricey side but you do pay for quality an freshness - everything is freshly prepared each morning. 😋Only scored it a low atmosphere dude to no I door & out door seating, it's pretty much a grab an go place.
HerrWelle (MrTriSkin): My fav sandwich shop in York.
Nicola Ernesto Rinaldi: Incredibile food!! We tried all of them…ABSOLUTELY DELISH 🤤🤤🤤Can’t be disappointed! Got served by the delightful and cute Edith that made us the best sandwiches in town 🙌
Jurate Wall: Great sandwichesFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
The Starving Traveller: If you are looking for a sandwich to beat all other sandwiches this is the place, yes the price is on the more expensive side, but you are in the center of a city and its good food. What else would you expectYou simply order at the window, you get given a buzzer if its busy, then you enjoy in the food in the streets the atmosphere doesn't get better than that. Also some of the best pastrami I've ever had...
Michael C: I've wanted to visit for a while and finally got chance, the problem was deciding what to pick as each sandwich looks amazing. I went for a "Harry Trotter" pulled pork one and wasn't disappointed, the pork was tender and really tasty with a great smoked aftertaste. Salad was fresh and crunchy and the bread held it all together perfectly. The sparkler was a nice touch.Great service just added to the experience, I'm looking forward to the next visit.
John Parker: I have now been twice, had a beef and a chicken burrito. I would recommend this food delight to anybody, the gent that served me indeed both that were there today, were nice and very pleasant. Just try the food, you won’t be disappointed.
Jake Bainbridge: Tasty and amazing !! Friendly staff good mustard and crunchy onions do recommend
Jack Joseph: The Reuben. One of the single most neatly presented sandwiches I have ever seen. The rich smokey flavours of the pastrami were balanced beautifully by the accompanying fillings. However personally, at it's price point of £10 it simply wasn't substantial enough and I found myself finishing off with a hotdog from around the corner.Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Ryan Tranter: My wife and I had a sandwich each, a “Harry Trotter & Guy Fawkes” absolutely delicious, loved the finishing touch with the sparkler. The service was brilliant 10/10
Lu Gu: 牛肉丝很好吃,越嚼越香✧*。٩(ˊωˋ*)و✧*。
Noah Thio (foggnjt): For lunch today, I went to the off building shambles kitchen smokehouse, where they sell burritos, tacos, and salad bowls, the tacos there are amazing! You choose between 4 meat and jackfruit choices, you get 3 tacos, 1 meat or jackfruit each, and then you can get toppings, which are all free, I suggest going with chicken, beef, and jackfruit choices. The employees there are exceptionally good, in behaviour and cooking style! Overall the food was amazing, and so were the employees, I highly recommend this place.Vegetarian options: Instead of meat you can get jackfruit as a meat supplement, you can also buy a salad bowlKid-friendliness: As I said the employees are very kind, and forgiving.Dietary restrictions: Everything here is optional, you can ask for just a soft shell and they would be just fine!
Yung-Chu Huang: Guy Fawkes牛肉堡有仙女棒,酸黃瓜很夠味,肉質不錯。
Dex: I had the Harry Trotter sandwich and it was the best sandwich I've ever had. The pulled pork was really nice and there was lots of it in the sandwich and it was on nice focaccia bread. Must try
Esther Bullock: A wonderful food variety available.
Lynne Gray: Great outdoor space with international street food vendors. Loads of seating and a great vibe.
Gary Collins: Instant drooling! 🤤
Manjit Dhillon: Thought I'd grab lunch while taking photos in York, so visited the Shambles Kitchen to see what was new. Decided on Smokehouse Burritos. Service was quite quick, guys were polite, prices weren't bad and the burrito was tasty and made in front of you too, definitely recommended 👌
Dan Swingewood: The pastrami reuben sandwich is incredible. If you’re in York, this is a must try!
Biset: Beef barbacoa was just out of this world. So yummy! You can grab your sandwich and drink, head towards the market where there are sitting areas.
