However I came away feeling happy and relieved which was due to Louise. She guided me throughout everything. She’s amazing! She’s efficient knowledgeable and very understanding to technophobes with special needs like me. She didn’t make me feel uncomfortable at all and I highly recommend this store.

TONY FITZSIMMONS: I went into the Select shop on Spurriergate in York on Monday afternoon on the off-chance that I could get a problem fixed with my Apple iPhone ID. As I entered the store Jason immediately approached me and offered assistance. He was able to concisely explain and rectify the issue in a quiet, courteous manner. It was a pleasure to be assisted by such a helpful, thoughtful young man.

I made an appointment as I had problems with with my AirPods Pro was seen promptly and to my eternal thanks the problems were swiftly diagnosed and shortly thereafter I had replacement pods! Hellmuth Erhardt: We discovered the bookshop by chance while walking through the city. We noticed the very creatively designed shop window, which had a certain avant-garde style.The shop itself is full of shelves filled with books of various genres, inviting us to take a closer look. It is interesting to note that an increase in the number of visitors means that you have to make arrangements to get past each other. But that's not a bad thing.Exotic literature is also represented here, which invites you to linger.Very friendly staff and certainly worth a visit.

They have newly or old fashioned published children’s illustrated books, literature, graphic novels and comics. I can’t believe I saw Tin Tin here. Feel so sentimental. The A clockwork orange canvas bag is so cool. I forgot to ask where the book shop owner got it from but it looks like quite rare.

Victoria Brown: This review is solely for Kate, the Manager on duty. We had placed an order using the machines in store on Friday but had not had any confirmation by email or a reservation number. On Friday we asked in store, asked the actual ‘store manager’ when we would get something, only to be blown off with a ‘it’s a new system’ answer. By Monday night, still nothing. We went back to the store and an associate pretty much gave us an ‘I don’t know’ response. Then, in swept Super-Kate! She overheard and took over. She found our order VERY quickly by working back from the item we had ordered, and before we knew it, she pulled it from the orders and we were done. Quick and painless. I couldn’t have been more grateful. Promote Kate. She deserves it for her customer focused attitude, problem solving skills, can-do approach, and smiley, bubbly demeanor!

Honestly great customer service, an amazing price via clearance, and as a VIP member I got an additional 10% off, which is free to become a VIP member. Don't even think this had been used, I was told the customer bought it and was too big, which at 114cm wide it is long. Love it, thank you for your help. No high pressure selling like Currys which was really refreshing.

Anne Marie Stagg: I discovered Flying Tiger years ago on a trip down to London and love the fact that this one is so close to home.It’s a great little shop in the Coppergate shopping centre just by Fenwicks and across from Primark.Going into Flying Tiger for the first time is like entering a cross between an IKEA and the best sweetshop ever-it’s full of wonderful, colourful, reasonably priced things that you never realised you needed until now…Cute notebooks, colourful dishes, candles, giant marshmallows, paint your own Easter eggs, finger puppets … they are all there!Like many stores they now have a number of self service tills but there are also lovely staff on traditional tills.A must visit every time that I go to York!

Ambrose's Legit Honest Reviews: Bright, light, modern shop with snaking layout proffering various merchandise. Some things reasonably priced, but lot of Christmas tat in at the mo, so whizzed round quite quickly. Bought couple of photo frames.
