York Medical Group at Monkgate: what do users think?
Gaz Meehan: Wait over an hour for phone to be answered EVERYTIME, Hopeless customer service.
Peter Fairclough: Poor.
Elizabeth Collins: Dr Tunstall was so so good with my little baby who was suffering with an eczema-type rash. The prescribed creams have worked a treat (as you'd expect) but it was the quality of care we received that I was so impressed with.Dr Tunstall immediately offered to carry our car seat & changing bag on fetching us from the waiting room, and when my baby was quite upset after being examined (sore, itchy skin) he fetched the toy attached to our car seat and played with it to entertain him and calm him down. An excellent GP and a real asset to the practice! Thank you very much.
Nikolett K.: I had the same problem again and again, I asked them several time to send me to a specialist, just to get the answer it's not needed. Finally one of them felt bad for me and gave me a referral for a rutin appointment, which should be due like the end of next year. Well I went for a private practice to find out I need operation as I have a large cist. Good job here.
J B: If you need to see a Doctor, wait until this place is closed for the day then ring 111 and get an appt at the GP out of hours at the hospital. YMG don't do adequate checks when you are ill, they will play down your symptoms to get you out of the door. Not worth wasting your time with.
Brown Fox: Dreadful. Good luck in managing to speak to (never mind see) a GP at this place.
Emma Sheppard: Rude reception staff. Waited nearly 3 weeks for someone to call me after filling out the klinik form online to then be told I need to fill out another form because they allegedly tried to call me twice. I don't know what number they tried, but it definitely wasn't mine!
Marcus Steele: after writing my last review I have left this surgery in place of real medical treatment.
adrian heginbotham: Text received by my wife saying they would call. Waited all day and nothing, waste of time.
Emma Willis: If they decide you can have an appointment then you might get one 5 weeks later. But only if they decide you need one. Nothing about this practice makes you feel confident you’re in safe hands. What you do feel is that they wish you would stop bothering them.
Amy Bainbridge: Terrible practice. I'm genuinely concerned that something bad and totally avoidable is going to happen to someone. I made an emergency appointment and they had the audacity to downgrade it to routine without even speaking to me. They have arranged a phone appointment for me for things that can only be done in person. Just ineptitude at its finest
Leon Costelloe: Waiting four weeks for an appointment is too long. The online service isn't great and the phone queues are over an hour long. I understand there's shortages across the country but 4 weeks is still too long.
Annija Kaulina: One year later and still not a response! That's what we get. In the June will be a 1 year since we have handed in some insurance paperwork to be filled by GP after several calls, email and begging to get back to us. Still nothing!!!! Only response over phone we get every time I call is that we don't know anything only can see that is on person desk to be done. Shame our family can't get the help they need financially because of that! I understand that it busy and everyone needs help but simply not good enough!!!!
Moya McGowan: absolute joke of a gp. They will never answer you're requests, if they do, you will end up not hearing back. I have had 2 urgent appointments now for a 24 hour or less response and both times, not only was it not in 24 hours, I didn't get a call full stop. Don't waste your time.
Sanna A: As a junior doctor currently working in another GP practice, I must say I have been thoroughly disappointed by the accessibility of this GP Practice. I have submitted klinik forms several times and have either received links which did not last more than 24 hours or did not hear back or had my case closed as I submitted a form on Friday evening. When calling reception- and waiting half an hour each time- I was told they cant do anything and I have to just try again. It makes me worry for the more vulnerable members of society who will really struggle to use the Klinik service and get in touch with a GP when they might need it most. GPs are struggling themselves and this organisational barrier to healthcare is truly appalling. YMG must address and fix this. I would not recommend this practice.
Lisa Baldwin: ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL AND DANGEROUS PRACTISE . My partner and myself have on different occasions been left without medication for days after ordering through the phone line , then been told by very rude staff that answer phones are not doctors that it’s your fault !!! Without getting any notification that you need at review your meant to be a mind reader even though you can’t get to see or talk to a doctor !! Well he was left 4 days and had to contact the hospital who were so lovely and got his medication. This practise needs a major over haul and retraining if I spoke to my customers how there staff to to people I wouldn’t of had my bussiness 35 years ! . This is now being placed in the hands of the GMC a full report and the hospitals comments to them . All I can say in a difficult time the doctors are suppose to be a safe place .... STOP BLAMING THE PATIENTS AND COVID WE ARE ALL UNDER PRESSURE YOU ARE JUST RUDE AND INCOMPETENT.
Melanie Ransome: Under so much pressure from reception, admin and all medical staff. Very impressed with the treat both me and.my mum have received. Thank you so much.
Danuta Jania: my baby is seriously ill again! for 6 weeks there is no medical help for her, 6 weeks only Covid covid from your side. when the emergency visit is booking you call back after 4 days! next time you send me with her for a covid test and when I try to contact you again send me to other places in york for a visit and again no help! even though I am pregnant and I do not have a car, do you consider it good medical care? it affects her mental health
James Rushby: For all the GP bashing out there at the moment, do remember that services are under pressure and everyone in the NHS, GP's included are working bloomin' hard. Yes getting through to the practice is tough, but so is managing demand. We are still in the middle of a pandemic people! All of the staff here have been nothing but professional and kind to me. When I needed to be seen face to face, I was (and had the GP appointment and ECG the same day), when I simply needed something that could be dealt with over the phone, then that's what was done. Many thanks to the practice, truly appreciated.
V G: A very good practice. I have been a patient for many years now and have received excellent care from friendly staff from Reception to the Doctor's. The new telephone system is my only complaint - it is truly awful. I held on for 37 minutes the other day!
paul clark: Unfortunately no stars is not an option.since being taken over by YMG it seems to be run by disorganised automatons. I'm trying to arrange a virus injection at home and I've never been subjectedto such inane phone calls and messages. I'm hoping someone Frome the practice contacts me but if they do no doubt they won't know what I'm talking about so I'll have to back to the beginning yet again which is par for the course.

Skin Doctor Clinics York: what do users think?
kylie davies: I met lovely Holly last week when I had a treatment I admit I wasn’t looking forward to meeting a new therapist but I’m just so glad I did…I felt like I was her only client that day. We revisited and made plans for my skin goals. Thank you Holly. Highly recommended.
Witold Krupski: Unfortunately i was scammed by this "clinic".I made an appointment that i didn't expect to be a zoom meeting! Zoom meeting for £50 to check on my skin?! Lady, who was consulting me, she wasn't any doctor or professional person to help me with my skin issue. How do they suppose to help with skin problems, of they're not allowed to prescribe meds? Then the same woman asked me if we have GP and to make an appointment with him.Absolutely lack of any professionalism, 5mins conversation and all of that has cost me £50..Do not ask them for help.
Helen Davison: I've been having treatments at Skin Doctor Clinic York for about 4 years and have absolute confidence in the advice given and treatments that I received. The results are amazing. The staff are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I know I'm in safe hands.
Sinead Halpin: Have been coming to skin doctors few years now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else, Dr Saleena is amazing, so happy with results everytime I go.
Denise Tile: Always a wonderful experience, both me and my daughter come here. Always appreciate the honesty and upmost professional advice
Sarinrat Thomas: I have been coming to see Dr.Saleena for a couple of years now. She is very honest and professional. Only suggested what best for me. My main thing is to have a healthier skin as only started to looking after my skin this recent years. I am highly impressed with the result.Steph the lovely receptionist always greet me with enthusiastic. Never too much to ask. Lovely smile and service. Make you feel really welcome x
L P: Dr Saleena is a magician! Wouldn’t trust anyone else with my face, she is a credit to the industry and a true professional. The team are lovely and friendly and create such a nice environment- Steff at the York clinic always greets you with a smile and makes you feel welcome and comfortable. Can’t recommend this place enough!
Katrina Jones: Dr Seleena is an aesthetic artistic genius : ) Thank you Stephanie and Jasmine for your care and support during the past few weeks. Incredible work, impeccable service and life changing results. THANK YOU!! xxx
Irum Hussain: Came to see dr saleena a month ago now for some facial fillers for the first time. I knew what was wrong with my face but just didn’t know how to explain it! As soon as dr saleena seen me she could tell what needed doing to my face without me having to say anything and in my head that was exactly what I was thinking too! She truly is an artist walked out of there looking years younger and mega confident. It was definitely wait the 3 month wait for an appointment with her. X
Satya RO: I had my Hydrafacial with Jade, and let me tell you every one complemented on my skin afterwards ! I had stubborn Blackheads on my nose which Jade took care of! My skin was clean, and glowing ! Jade was lovely, very professional and went the extra mile to ensure I was happy and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend to book your Hydrafacial with Jade in York.
Kali Innes: I first went to Skin Doctors for botox to help with my migraines, Dr Saleena was incredibly helpful and I was so pleased with the results. I have been several times for various treatments now and everytime everything has been well explained and I've always come away feeling confident that it will look good. I definitely wouldn't go anywhere else.
Spotty Dog: They are not Doctors - the name is misleading. I did not feel they had the necessary experience or knowledge to be carrying out such invasive procedures so I decided to go to a medical professional. They are very pleasant but you need to be aware that they do not have in depth knowledge of dermatology or the procedures they are using. It was a very superficial consultation and the pro's and con's were not explained to me nor the likely benefits.
Judith Grice: I have been having fillers and botox for almost 20 years. I have been to several clinics, like this one - all led by Drs. I do not agree with POM being administered by non qualified personnel and strongly believe the area of aesthetics should be much more tightly controlled. This clinic has very high standards with excellent clinical practices and I can highly recommend for the above treatments. Today I also had advice on the Obagi eyecare products and was prescribed the option that will best suit me. After using Obagi skincare "foundation 5" for 3 weeks I can already see an improvement in luminosity and overall appearance. Check out the skin of all the clinic staff, it is amazing without exception!Dr Saleena is delightful and a key opinion leader for most of the products she uses in the clinic, this speaks volumes about her ability.Thank you for great care.
jo barber: Avoid this clinic, I am now scarred for life!!!! My initial impression of this clinic was good. The lady on the front desk was very professional and refused to do a treatment on my face for spider veins after my skin turned slightly white, she sought further advice from someone in the company more experienced. I was then booked in with the owner of the company. After my consultation he decided that I needed a treatment using a small needle with an electric current to treat the spider veins, he dragged the needle through the worst vein again and again, he touched normal spots on my face which didn’t need treating which has now resulted in them being spider veins which weren’t there before and I now have a large pit in one of my cheeks where he kept going over the area again and again. He even touched the needle on a part of my face which had no numbing gel on it and laughed when I jumped and said I’m just proving the numbing cream works! I had a really bad feeling about what my treatment was going to turn out like.I complained after the time that the scabs should have been gone and he asked me to give it a few more weeks to give it chance to heal and then go back if it wasn’t any better. I did go back with the large pit in my face and he just hummed and arred and said oh I’ve not seen that before. He told me to go over to the chemist and buy some hydrocortisone cream which would only cost me a few pounds (on top of the £200 I had already paid for my scar which he’d given me) the chemist asked me what it was for and then advised under no circumstances do I use this on my face for 6 weeks continuous as it would thin my skin and was irreversible if I did that.10 months later, the redness of the scar has faded but if you look at my skin there is a chunk out of it. The clinic has made no attempt to contact me and basically could not have given a damn from the minute I walked back in to complain.MY ADVICE WOULD BE TO STAY WELL CLEAR. At least when I had the broken veins they could be covered with makeup, now I have a permanent scar which can’t be covered with anything!
Eve Roberts: I have just had my first chemical peel with Abbie, and could not recommend her or the clinic more. She was really knowledgeable and reassuring throughout. Looking forward to seeing my results from the treatment. Can't wait for my next one!
Suzanne Mansi: I've recently had some fillers in various areas of my face....tear troughs, nose reshape, cheek enhancement and more. I can't praise the whole team at skin doctor york enough. Friendly, professional and the results are amazing. I've already booked in for some laser treatment aswell! 😀. It really is worth the money and there's hardly any downtime at all. I've not had any bruising or swelling. Thankyou guys, you've helped this ladies confidence no end. Many thanks to you allSuzanne
Emma Graceland: I visited the York clinic after seeing their before and after photos on their Instagram and thinking how amazing their work was. Today I had the Tear Trough Filler procedure and it’s truely exceeded my expectations. In the consultation beforehand everything was explained to me and it was very clear to see they are very experienced in their work and knew exactly how to achieve what I was after. During the treatment I was reassured the whole time and very well looked after. I am so happy with my results, I’m definitely going back again in the future and recommending them to anyone who is thinking of getting anything done. They really know how to enhance your beauty in the most natural way!Thank you so much Skin Doctor Clinics ! See you again soon!
Russell Holden: It's a doctor of skin.
Kerry Illingworth: Very professional. With great results.I've had the same treatments elsewhere ,but they have been no comparison to here.

Nuffield Health: what do users think?
James Foggin: Would be helpful if they bothered to pick up the phone during open hours! On hold for more than 30 mins with no response other than an automated reply at the beginning, and no mention of how much longer one can expect to be waiting for. Shocking really
fmf carvalho: 7/3/2023 - WHAT AN ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES. Another call to Ms Andrea Cussans, who I find out this morning is on holiday for a week and her substitute cannot help with the results done in February!!! In the meanwhile we have received 3 accounts and a telephone call to pay 🤔 yet NOBODY can indicate where the blood tests and CT scan results are 😡6/3/2023From entrance & 1st floor receptionists to nursing staff - 5 stars. Day of CT scan booked as per letter for 8am, we had to knock at the door of the CT scan truck behind the hospital to make them aware we were there. Finally seen at 10:30am. Further, we are still struggling as at 6 March for my husband’s blood results done on the 10th & 15th February as well as the CT results done on the 20th February! We have written an email and have left messages with the relevant doctors receptionists to no avail. We consider this poor patient follow-up service for the price paid for consulting private healthcare at Nuffield Hospital. Would appreciate acall from the hospital manager!
Stuart Moss: Well looked after by courteous staff.
Diane Lanni: If you don’t mind your CT scan being carried out in the back of a very cold truck which is parked externally near the main entrance then go ahead! No changing area in the truck, and yes, I kid you not it really is a truck! Read the instructions they send you carefully because they differ. Be aware there are no facilities for anyone you take with you either. Only saving grace are the receptionists. Go elsewhere if you can, you’re paying for this after all and trust me, its certainly not what I expected
Leslie Precious: Very impressive and the free parking was an added bonus 👍
Ian Middleton: Clean and comfortable surroundings when you visit health care facility always makes it less stressful been several times over the years always excellent treatment and care
Jenny Dowson: In Wednesday for total knee replacement, homeThursday! A great experience from friendly, professional and helpful doctors, nurses, physios, all the staff I met during my brief stay!
Franklin Alexander: Absolutely brilliant staff, Kate from the front desk was caring and helped calm me when I was stressed about my appointment. Radiology staff were friendly and attentive, I can't fault a thing
Nathan Carter: Generally a very poor service for the price I pay for private healthcare. No joined up communication - partic for myself who was left chasing my GP and the consultant on behalf of nufffield york who were of no help whatsoever!.I was advised in part physio was required and would be based here - receive a later call saying no appointments available for a while... !!!In general I would also consider a smile now and again from reception areas wouldn't go amiss !!! 😊Seek an alternative provider if you are thinking of this avenue !!!
Susan jessop: My experience was rubbish. Payed almost £3000 to have varicose veins removed. Had been measured for special stockings which they then lost the prescription for. Had to wait 4, yes 4 hours after my appointment time to be seen. Was told I couldn't have general anesthetic. Done under local anesthetic. Extremely painful. Told by staff "I was brave" Joke!!!!!
Chris Unsworth: Good luck trying to get an answer or appointment! After attending Leeds Nuffield for a consultation i needed to get bloods taken but unfortunately due to the tests required it needed to be a morning appointment. As i live in York i thought i could get the bloods take in York so called in on my way to work, basically got no help from the reception apart from being told i could enquire and book on line.Looked on line but the booking wasn't clear in relation to what the consultant had requested so i submitted a query, waited a while for a response before being told that they don't have a Hepatologist in York! This is despite me clearly stating i had seen the hepatologist in Leeds and just required bloods, i then received a response with a link to the same page saying i could ring for enquiries to which there is an automated message telling you to submit an email query or book on line!Sent a mail to enquire to get an auto response saying that it can take up to 5 days!So in summary for a private healthcare provider its a joke, Leeds are far better organised and efficient and capable of servicing your needs.Needless to say i will now have to explore other options to facilitate the blood tests including possibly having to return to Leeds due to the York inadequacies!Disappointed to say the least, now to see where the nearest Spire hospital is as my Nuffield York experience is poor to say the least!
Phil Denholm: Very good staff who explained everything and took time rather than had to rush everything
Stan Chaplin: I keep seeing Nuffield adverts everywhere online, projecting the heartfelt image that they care about helping people. Suspiciously tactical marketing considering there’s been an NHS waiting list crippling pandemic on the back of decade-long tory austerity and backdoor privatisation. The reality is Nuffield’s main purpose is to make profit, rather than nurse poorly patients back to health. Actual poorly people are a drain on profits; this business needs low risk, younger, easy, straightforward patients. That’s just not realistic for a healthcare setting, you can’t “pick and choose” who you treat. It’s unequal and artificial, not true nursing. It’s a mockery calling this place a hospital, it’s more of a medical hotel, where the doctors are glorified salesmen. I would hazard a guess that nurses join up for the better pay and easier nursing duties (no unexpected surprises) rather than doing nursing for the love of the job…Privatisation breeds corner cutting.Never forget, if Nuffield patients take a turn for the worst, they get taken to the closest NHS A&E; irony at its finest!
ronnie brennan: I have had two Hip replacements done by a brilliant consultant surgeon, one in May this year and the other one was last Saturday. I would like to thank all the staff for a comfortable stay. I had a bit of banter with the anesastiis, the nurses, the carers the cleaners, the receptionist. the physios, the chemist the cooks, everyone. Thank you all. The Consultant Surgeon came in to see if everything was going well on Sunday after the Saturday opps. Happy Christmas to all that staff at Nuffield.Haxby York.
Sarah Mcardle: I'm due to have a scan on Monday but my visit previously with Mr Stanley was good he explained my options sadly the equipment I need was removed so offered to go to Scarborough on probably 6 occasions to have treatment there not on NHS would have to pay £250 plus travel so going for second option treatment through Nuffield no charge to myself covered by NHS I was disappointed I couldn't get the best option for my medical needs but unable to do the travelling and cost to and from Scarborough several times as unwell myself and a full time carer for my adult son.
Sarah Varley: Fabulous hospital, friendly staff, comfy waiting area very professional team and clean hospital with pretty surroundings x
Jacqui Darby: Appointment at 6pm no waiting around, environment spotlessly clean, both staff were professional, kind and caring. Both tried to make the experience as best as possible, l knew exactly what was going to happen, it is a noisy procedure but you are given earplugs, headphones with music if you so wish. Thank you to both staff.
john atkinson: Wife was kept in overnight unexpectedly so I wanted to go an see her. I checked the Nuffield web-site and it said visitors welcome but check individual hospital site. Nothing on York regarding visitors at all. So I rang and after 15 minutes on hold I thought I'd drive the 9 miles to the hospital but keep the call open in case visitors weren't allowed. Call disconnected from their end en route so rang back. Reached hospital after 30 mins still no answer but notice saying for patients and visitors to enter car registration at reception. Nobody at reception, no phone, no buzzer or notice saying what to do if not manned. I waited for 10 minutes - nothing. Eventually I tried to find somebody. A sign said visitors report to ward reception, so I did that. Nobody there. No buzzer, no notice. So I waited ...and waited. After about 5 to 10 minutes a nurse came and said visitors weren't allowed. This isn't a comment on the medical care but their security and administration is shocking. From web-site to switchboard to staffing it's shambolic. I can't respond to the reply below but I can amend this post. Does the response have any thing to do with my post? No it' s also 4 years or of date. Reflective of their admin I'm afraid.
stelian bucur: Yes staff is very nice when you get there but that and the MRI scan was my only pleasent experience .Everything is very slow there . NHS provides better service in my opinion . communication is difficult . No one would give a straight answer ,when calling they just redirect you to a different department .I felt like talking to my gas supplier . i just needed my test results . yes you are ok no you are not .... They really like to make things complicatedWrong appointment text reminders . I was late obviously because of that . I was told by the consulatant I've got 3 minutes because I was late ...seriously ?!Diagnostic before test results ? I really don't understand that. I am not an antibiotics person unless is the only way .2 months with them and still no proper diagnostic and I am still in pain2 stars as they always speak nice and they apologised for the text reminder ( don't know if that really matters that much )
9k fabrications: First class hospital.well pleased with help given and first class results. Sorry about the one star that was an error. Changed to 5 well earned stars!
Graham Scarisbrick: Had keyhole surgery on my right knee a couple of months ago and have just come back and had full knee replacement on my left knee today. The experience on both occasions could not have been better! All the staff have been extremely courteous, caring and friendly without exception! And the food is gorgeous! Can not recommend highly enough!

York Hospital: what do users think?
Mohammed Alhusayni: The receptionist was very helpful, friendly, patient and careful. I waited in the hospital to see the doctor for an urgent about 4 hours. And the average of waiting is 2.5 hours, and i cannot book an appointment for my situation. Which make it very bad experience, and it seems that the management of the hospital is absolutely ridiculous. The doctor was nice, but he was trying to finish as early as possible. He made some mistakes in a letter about my situation, but overall, he was alright. I will never come again to the hospital, except if i don’t have a choice. And i prefer to book an appointment with unity health, since they have much better service.
Mark Schofield: God help anybody having to go here. Place is filthy. Lots of staff stood about doing nothing. I saw some terrible things while i was in . Even a member of staff told me to report the things that were going on. I had to get out or im not sure what would have happened.
David Storey: Great treatment in a&e
Richard Crossman: Ok
Karen Harper: In for a minor operation. Not long to wait before my operation. Caring staff, very helpful considering the pressure they are under. Plenty of parking and an overflow car park.
Belinda “Belly” Murphy: Fantastic team at York stroke clinic really looked after my mum earlier this month. After 4 visits to Harrogate A&E the team at York were exceptional, efficient and very kind. All of them worth their weight in gold and should be remunerated accordingly. These guys do an amazing job in very difficult circumstances. A massive thanks to all of them.
Ru Walker: Huge thanks to the opthalmology team on this morning
Will: Underfunded by the Conservatives.
Hiruni Senaratne: Good experience in ED
Glen Eden: Consultant told me l needed my right ear cleaning out by microsuction ever 3 months, l have been now waiting 5 months since my last appointment, l had one booked for the 15th March, but received a phone message that it has now been cancelled ?, So much for it needs doing every 3 months,it's only a 15 min procedure, you get a text reminder not to miss appointments as it costs the NHS hundreds, l have had over 50% of my appointments cancelled by them, its a disgrace, they are not fit for purpose, the upper management on their £160,000 salaries need to earn their salaries by sorting out this mess they have a duty of care, which unfortunately they are failing in this, if they can't do it get the right people who can, l will be forwarding my experience on to my MP and ask him to forward it on to the Health Minister, as this is a totally unacceptable, a 15 min procedure and you have to wait over 6 months. SHAMBLES.
LEIGH PANTER: Disabled parking is always full during my mother's appointments and so we have to use the multistory car park which is not ideal for people in wheelchairs.
Noah Smee: I had a great experience, my issue was efficiently investigated, and I spent barely any time waiting. The staff were professional and kind, and the visit was shorter than anticipated.
Debbie Vollans: The staff are absolutely brilliant, we were there all night which is not ideal but they do their best
Janis Smith: From entering a and e to my husband being transferred to ward 21 and eventually an operation and transferring to CCU every member of staff gave their very best. The treatment he received was second to none. They deserve every penny and more. We'll be forever grateful to them all.
lulu howe: All of the staff in SDEC (EAU) are incredible. We had to come on the 1st of feb in the afternoon/evening time and I have never met staff so compassionate and kind. They deserve so much more praise.
revliS zalliroG: Today I went for a blood test. I sat in the wrong are and didn't hear my number being called out. Later I realised, the staff at blood section were extremely understanding and helpful. Very polite and comforting experience from the gentlemen that took my blood and his colleagues in the ward.
chronic bionic: Very helpful staff here despite working under duress, some amenities here for drinking etc but I'd recommend you bring a flask and own sandwiches
Alexandra Cuthbert: The nurses at staff at this hospital were great. The minor injuries staff in particular were helpful, professional and very personable. Overall they made a great experience out of an unfortunate trip to the hospital.
katie Needham: I not sure this hospital is so kind as I good a very good (sis) friend in and two of the shaff are been nasty to her and makeing her cry and I don't like it at all and I will be on the phone to the manager at 9 and this problem needs to be sorted if not then I will not be happy and I wouldn't be surprised if other people go to the hull hospital cose they treat the people with respect
Matty C: I don't have much experience with York Hospitals, and I do hear from other people that York Trust is a poor trust, but I can honestly say that I've never been as impressed with a team as I was today whilst waiting for my Neurology outpatient appointment.I saw a team that was under immense workload pressure. However, the professionalism, kindness and compassion shown towards visiting patients to this busy department was exemplary. The consultant even apologised for my wait, even though I've waited longer in a checkout line at the local supermarket. In my opinion, I was grateful to be seeing a healthcare professional at the peak of their career and to have interacted with a multitude of healthcare professionals working in such a hostile, demanding and emotionally exhausting environment. Volunteers taking time to help patients find places, healthcare professionals stopping what they're doing to help a struggling patient complete a form and reassurance to patients nervous of confused during their visit are all things I witness during my 30mins of arriving and leaving my neurology outpatient appointment.Honestly, my words are not enough to express my admiration to this department for what I experienced. I don't know if this is a standard achieved by all teams within York Trust Hospitals, but I know - if you're visiting Neurology - you won't find a better team.
Stuart Dixon: Very Very good quality of up most considerable and helpful staff and all the H.D.U FOR SAVING MY life

York Psychological Therapies: what do users think?
Alice C: I was very nervous to start therapy, but Sari enabled me to speak freely and comfortably. It really has changed my life and I am so grateful to have had this experience. I highly recommend !
Bethany Harris-Croft: I can't rate highly enough. I came to this service at a point where anxiety was causing issues for me at work and at home. From the first session I felt safe to talk about my experiences. I have always felt welcome and accepted and never judged. The things I have learned about myself through the sessions have been invaluable and those around me have commented on the transformation.I would highly recommend this service. For me, it's been worth every minute
benlpz6: Highly recommend.

Melanie Dukes: Painless treatment. Only issue was waiting time for appointments.
Franz Wa: Excellent service, very, very friendly. Really recommendable!
Annlouise Ratcliffe: I went in today for some fillings with my dentist Khushboo Thakore and student nurse Charlie. Both were very pleasant and made me feel at ease throughout the appointment. It has been the best experience I have ever had at a dentist and I am really grateful for the care and treatment provided.
Tammy Banks: Everyone was friendly and helpful. Receptionist, dentist and assistant. I was also very nervous but the dentist was kind, explained it all, went slowly and it did not hurt!!!!I was really surprised and very pleased! Thank you
Alek Marin: Good friendly dentists and staff probably the best dentist in york
Andy Thompson: After recently chipping a wisdom tooth I required an emergency appointment with Rosie who very quickly and efficiently provided me with a temporary solution which instantly stopped the pain. I was then booked in with Emilio who carries out complex extractions which this certainly was (this man has some serious dentistry skills!!).Everything was managed via Charlotte the treatment co-ordinator who was amazing in providing me with all the necessary information and follow up care and advice.I found this practice very professional and I have full confidence in the team should I require any treatments in the future. Thank you!
Anne Barker: As a nervous patient I have found all the dentists very patient with me. They always explain what needs to be done clearly. The dental nurses are caring and reassuring. The receptionists are helpful and pleasant and the service is excellent.
Gary Adamson: Nice experience from start to finish
lauren: I Registered as a new patient with the practice and was amazed by the variety of services they offer I have booked to have teeth whitening after speaking with Charlotte the treatment coordinator fantastic service and great reception team dentists and nurse would definitely recommend.
Yazmin Sinclair: Very helpful staff at reception. Professional dentist. Highly recommend.
Anastasia Kamilari: ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.I wish I could give this place a -0 if I could, they are disgraceful. I called the day before wanting an emergency appointment, they then told me to call the next day at 8.30 to get the appointment and when I did that they turned me down, and not only that, I got yelled at and was left in tears by the woman on the phone after I told her that they told me I would get an appointment. Absolutely disgusting people, they are clearly in the wrong industry.
Anna W: Very poor experience. Saw the Italian dentist Emilio who quoted me extortionately long after the consultation. Didn't mention most of the work during our discussions, very shocking to receive a ridiculous list and amount. The sales team (need to call themselves this) gave me shoddy excuses and weren't prepared to address what I needed. The dentist seemed angry generally, maybe as he's having no luck at ripping people off. When he tapped my teeth with an instrument to see if I needed work there, saw this as a bad sign. Where did he work before? Some shack in Tuscany? Think they're going for the Be nice to everyone to bleed them dry. One of the receptionists didn't get the memo. Miserable 'welcome'.
Kate Adamson: Myself and my 3 children when to the dentist after not being for 2.5years due to lockdown. Joanne the dentist was amazing with us all and fabulous with my 4year old who has never been before and Charlie the dentist nurse was truly amazing and very friendly too. Thank you to you both for making our visit a good one 😊Keep up the great work 👍
Rob Lyth: Very friendly and helpful staff. They helped me up and down the stairs.Maria was helpful in deciding on the treatment required rather than a decision to achieve more income for the practice. The advice was given on the wider issues of teeth and health issues.
