Charlotte Foxton: Yorkshire Rose Academy of Dance is a brilliant dance school. The teachers are fantastic and deliver fun lessons that really help the develop skills. The online lessons have been great all through lockdown and the extra dance family social group with plenty of fun activities on a Saturday has given the children a fantastic opportunity to feel part of a dancing community. I would definitely recommend YRAD!
Ally Damsell: Both my kids attend classes at YRAD and absolutely love it! My little girl attends ballet, and tap & modern and has flourished, her levels of concentration have improved massively. My little boy attends street dance and his confidence has increased hugely. They both really look forward to their classes and also attend the 'Dance fam' sessions on a Saturday afternoon which they are always excited about and benefit from. The teachers are wonderful and the principle, Miss Kerry, is approachable and accommodating. As well as the dance classes, the school also has a focus on the student's mental wellbeing which is so important and we, as parents, are really grateful for, for the kids to have that outlet outside the home. The classes are well priced and the cost is spread monthly across the year to make it more affordable. I would recommend YRAD whole heartedly, it's so much more than just a dance school. WE LOVE IT!

She has made so many lovely friends who are all so supportive of each other.The teachers are very proffesional and caring and are very approachable. They are alway available for advice and support if dancers want to take their dancing further. My daughter adores them all and has learned so much from them, not just dancing but about herself and her body.Luckily , thanks to the amazing all inclusive deal, passionate and enthusiastic dancers likemine can attend as many classes as they like without parents worrying about cost .It is safe to say she takes full advantage of that!

The teaching is very high quality so if you have a child who is interested in a dance career they will get plenty of support and advice. But it's also just lots of fun!

My daughter started with Acro classes and quickly developed from a shy girl who wouldn't do anything in front of people to performing in the annual show. She loved that so much that she's now doing tap and ballet too. The teachers are approachable and the children have fun while learning. Not only do they learn dance moves but also gain resilience and confidence. Highly recommended!

Courtney “CocoBelle” J: From the booking process to the end of the event, Starbrite was absolutely fantastic. We wanted something different to the usual soft play for our 5 year olds party and initially was worried that the younger kids might find it difficult but nevermind that! The dance teachers did such an incredible job working around the different abilities among the children. The work, time and thought that went into making the event suitable for the age range, as well customizing our chosen theme left me speechless.We did a bit of decorating before but with the lights and final touches added by Miss Emma and Mr. P, everything was stunning and felt magical.We hired the cafe for the parents to wait while the kids enjoyed their time. A few parents commented on how lovely it was to sit and enjoy a very lovely and affordably priced hot drink, some even had a bit of ice cream which was well received.Thank you so much for everything. Definitely a party to remember.

Catherine Simpson: My daughter, Hannah, has been attending Starbrite since about 2014 and she takes classes in ballet, tap, jazz, commercial, modern, lyrical, acro and contemporary. She is also a Triplestar Associate. I have watched her flourish and grow in confidence over the last few years.The dedication and commitment of Miss Emma and her team is phenomenal and the opportunities available are amazing. Even now, in the midst of the current lockdown restrictions, Starbrite have evolved very quickly and are now able to offer virtual classes & lessons to keep their students dancing.I have always had a passion for ballet but when I was my Hannah’s age it was simply not an option. After seeing how much Hannah was thriving, I took the plunge a little while after and I am so pleased that I did. I have not looked back.As well as the technique, dancing at Starbrite has taught me invaluable life skills such as teamwork, dedication, confidence and I think above all, perseverance. It has changed my life completely and has become such a huge part of me that I cannot imagine a world without it.

Hayley Greenley: Both our girls have attended Kirkham Henry since they were 4 and 3 yrs old,they both love it.The teachers are friendly and approachable.During Lockdown they have provided a lifeline to many young children and young adults who needed a bit of normality in their lives with their zoom classes.I would highly recommend as dance studio.

Great place for her to show her skills and make friends aswell as great opportunities to do shows and enter exams. Lovely friendly teachers who communicate well with parents and students.
Helen Oldroyd: Kirkham Henry is a fabulous performing arts school. Having had associations with it before I became a parent I knew it was the place I would be most happy sending my daughter. She attended another dance school local to us but i decided it wasn’t right for us and we now travel from York to attend classes.All the teachers genuinely care about every child and the KH Family is very special.

The dance school is professional yet fun and provides a wide range of lessons, the teachers are allvery experienced which shows in the high exam results and amazing performances during showcases etc! I couldn’t recommend the school enough!
