Harriet Lansdown: . True to form, my prescription was sent to the pharmacy the next day for me to collect. I feel heard and responded to.The surgery also offered me a phone appointment with a cardiac consultant to ensure my medication was up to date. This is an example of proactive preventative care which I really appreciate.Recently I asked if I could have a bone density scan. I waited a couple of weeks for a phone call, but the answer was yes.The NHS is creaking at the seams, we all know that. What I want is a well organized professional GP service that is appropriately responsive to my needs, despite the circumstances nationally. Gale Farm, as part of the Haxby Group provides a service I can trust, and feel is meeting my health needs very well. Thanks to all the staff there.

David P: I’ve been with this Drs about 19 years since moving house , in the last year I’ve been very ill, after a little hiccup at the start I’ve revived first class treatment partially from the main DrInvolved in treating me.And in 2017 after york hospital A&E turned me away without treatmentThe Drs got me a same day appointment and had me in hospital within the hour for an emergency operation for the same condition that killed my brother.

This women made me feel heard and took the time to make me feel comfortable about making an appointment I cannot give this receptionist enough credit because this is something I have been avoiding for so long and for someone to have the patience with me to make me feel safe and listen to me so I could take the steps to make an appointment I could not appreciate that more. Ros Bridges: The receptionist was lovely and helped us and our children out very kindly
Fiona Copeland: I go to East Parade surgery. The receptionists with the exception of one are very helpful. I usually see the nurse and they are very good and explain things very clearly. On the few occasions that I have seen a doctor they were also very good with the exception of Dr Christopher Murray who I refuse to see.
Leonie Scott: I switched to this practice a year ago and went there for the first time today. The receptionist and doctor were very attentive and friendly. The doctor was patient and kind and I feel reassured about going there that I will always be listened to and treated in the best possible way.

Peter Quinn: Had to make use of the GP surgery a bit more frequently last few weeks and in spite of known chronic underfunding, staff have been professional, helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Whether using Klinik, phone or in person it all works well. Seen someone personally or appt for family member often next day.
Elizabeth Knighton: Highly recommend this survey. I think the bad reviewers need to remember that the NHS is grossly underfunded and understaffed. I have moved to Manchester and miss this surgery very much - every other survey doesn’t seem to compare. I never struggled to book appointments; yes you have to ring at 8am but it is the same everywhere. I would always have an appointment same day. I mainly used the survey for mental health issues and medication. Every doctor I spoke to was so understanding and empathetic. They complete regular medication reviews and one time when I didn’t ring for my monthly review they called me to check on me. Incredible surgery.

Amy Jackson: and after some negative reviews I feel like they deserve some positive ones. All my experiences have been very positive, particularly the receptionists are so kind and understanding which is exactly what you need when you aren’t feeling yourself! Long wait times can’t always be helped but I feel like the staff here go above and beyond to make you feel listened to and at ease.

Leo P: issue to ensure it is recognised, and an appointment is allocated according to its severity- as is the case with any GP surgery around the country.They recently implemented a callback feature, meaning you can bypass the frustrating & lengthy call queues, which is a really positive & helpful step.
Mohammed Alhusayni: The staff in the reception are very nice and helpful, and you can call them directly from their number in google maps. The doctor as well is helpful, patient and accurate in his notes. You have to book an appointment to do anything here, usually it is the same day or the day after. I recommend calling them before coming. The unity health i think is even better than York Hospital, and I recommend to go to unity health if possible before the hospital.

Peter Routledge: Came in with an emergency, was promptly seen, triaged, then sent to surgery. Recovery and ward 14 staff were wonderful. The NHS may have challenges but the experience I have had has highlighted how wonderful it can be.
Andrew Snape: Emergency visit to A&E was handled superbly by the staff, we were taken through x-rays, CT scans, plastering, examination, and stitching up very professionally and cheerfully. They had some challenging clients in that evening but kept polite and helpful to all of them. They provided the best solution to a bad situation.

I know that sometimes an appointment can't be on time because of under staffed,or other holdups. The staff from the receptionist right up to the doctor, surgeon or whoever you see have been kind, compassionate and honest. They have always helped me to the best of their ability.
