Highlight of food for me and my boyfriend in York!!!We had the salt and pepper chicken wings for a starter, crispy shredded beef in Cantonese sauce and beef mince and lettuce rice. Bloody gorgeous!!! It is not the same as the beef itself but has no tendons. The wok flavor is even better. It is really special. There's no such thing as a job that can't be fired even if you have such high and low skills.Baked Pork Chop Rice with White Sauce - This is my 10-year-old's favorite. I only ate two of them, so I can't say why, but I can tell by the speed with which he ate the rice.The salt and pepper tofu is dry enough without having to drink a lot of water after eating. The three-color peppers and onions are chopped into fine pieces and the flavor is infused. It doesn’t feel like adding a lot of onions and cutting them into pieces. Even if it’s green pepper, they really have the heart to make it.Western toast is the same as rice. I ate ten portions and couldn’t eat any of them. It’s just too much for a kid. I’ll order a plate myself next time.Caiyuan Beef Brisket Stir-fried River - The beef brisket is dry-flavored and juicy, but it is very difficult to cook it yourself in the UK. It all takes time and effort.The bakery was a surprise. I usually don't order it, but I didn't expect it to be so delicious. The gravy is juicy but not fat and juicy. Would you like to order the whole dish?I don’t think I know this guy well enough to help him sell ads. I met him for the first time today and I didn’t even know his name. Helen Cooling: Absolutely amazing Chinese restaurant. When I take my mum to town for the day we always go here for lunch, without fail. Highly highly recommended.Fully support them wanting to install a larger sign over their door too.Wheelchair accessibility: There is one small table on the ground floor by the door but the rest are up a small staircase. No lift as the building is a historic grade building, they're not allowed to install anything.
Andy (Andy): We had a nice family meal at Happy Valley in Goodramgate last week. The restaurant table seating area is located on the first floor, accessed by a steepish staircase which opens onto a cosy dining area. We had crispy aromatic duck which was very good, followed by steamed dumplings, seaweed, char siu chow mein, sizzling beef in black bean sauce, chicken with cashewnuts and vegetables. Everything was cooked well with good flavour and the service was attentive and efficient.

You are given a grilling place and seperate tongs for raw and cooked meat.Everything tasted absolutely delicious and I couldn’t fault it. I guess to get things perfect though, you would have to have some prior experience of how to cook your own meat.If you’re not so comfortable with this, there is a giant menu of other things you could try. My elder daughter had the kimchi fried rice and said it was the best shes ever had!Once we finished with our main we were offered the dessert menu, we saw an unfamiliar name “bingsu” and questioned what it is. When we were told it was a sort of shaved ice cream - we HAD to try it. We went for both the original and strawberry flavour. OMG OMG - think tasty snow melting in your mouth. The bingsu was so GOOD we went back to just to have it again after a couple of months!Korean pancake was divine too.Worth visiting even JUST for the bingsu! Trust me!!
George Thomas: We go to Oshibi every time we are in York and are never disappointed. As soon as you walk in the door it feels like you are a part of the family. We chose to cook on the BBQ and were served the most delicious assortment of meats, vegetables and side dishes. Through the meal we were also brought some free surprise dishes like fried chicken and dumplings.We cannot recommend Oshibi enough, and our one regret is that we can't come to York more often to eat there.

Macauley Hyde: As I walked in the restaurant staff were quick to notice me and let me know they will be with me. Two members of staff said they would seat me. A female member of staff called Tina promptly seated me and asked me about allergies on two occasions before eating food. She was polite and ensured I ordered exactly what I wanted. Food was hot and tasted amazing. Paying for the food online was easy to do and Tina was helpful with this also. All staff seem happy and always look proactive. Service was very quick also. Highly recommend.

A well organised queue saw us seated in 5 minutes in what for us was a new layout.Staff so professional. Both my wife and I were about to order our old favourites when we both had a change if mind. Corrie: Absolutely incredible! I arrived early enough for the early dinner menu and enjoyed Spinach perogies as an appetizer, a tender goulash with delicious potato pancake and side salad, as well as an incredible cappuccino cake that reminded me of tiramisu! The raspberry beer was also very tasty! Portion sizes are generous and the staff incredibly friendly. All at very reasonable prices!

We found out about them from tick tock and it exceeded expectations. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful and very convenient location.
