Helen Gray: Yesterday, on the spur of the moment 5 of us- on a ladies day out- landed here unexpectedly. The shop was fairly busy but one of our number was persuaded by us to look at mother of the bride outfits for a wedding in a years time! I couldn’t believe how graciously we were helped by Helen, for whom nothing was too much trouble though I’m sure she didn’t think we were serious buyers. 4 of us sat on a lovely vintage sofa while our mother of the bride was brought dresses, hats, bags and shoes. Helen was helpful and efficient, her taste and grasp of what our friend wanted was flawless. She was never pushy and I feel she did what every good retailer should remember- gain a customer not a sale. She was charming when we left an hour later with nothing. However our friend has phoned since to buy the entire outfit which was absolutely perfect for her in every way! I can’t recommend this shop highly enough!

Karen Blackwell: What a delightful find in York. We were only there for the weekend, when we saw this shop. In the window, was the dress I'd kept going back too, on my search for my Mother of the Groom dress. The other half said let's go in, you might not like it when it's on. We were welcomed in the shop by a lovely lady called Helen. I told her that I'd seen the dress in the window. I wasn't exactly dressed, if you know what I mean, to try on lovely dresses, but she convinced me too. She also gave me a pair of shoes, to get the look and then went and got a couple of hats. Nothing was too much trouble - Thank you Helen, I found my perfect outfit, I look forward to wearing this dress and sending you some photos!

Maja Ferrari: I visited York for the first time over the weekend and happened to wander into Molly Browns, after seeing a gorgeous dress in the window. Inside I met the store manager, Fiona, who was an absolute joy to talk to, and during our conversation, she offered for me to try on some dresses upstairs, which I gratefully accepted. Upstairs I was seen to by a lovely young lady called Megan, who was incredibly attentive, and picked out dresses which were flattering on me in both shape and colour. Some way through my impromptu appointment, I discovered that it was Megan’s first day, but otherwise I never would have known. Both Fiona and Megan are a credit to Molly Browns, and I would recommend anyone visit if they want to be treated like a princess!

Jill Meade: I called into Molly Browns in Stonegate, York, today to look for ideas for outfits for my sons’ wedding. I was not expecting to buy as I was rather apprehensive, having no real idea what I wanted. However Fiona was lovely, she was very helpful and put me at ease straightaway. She helped me try a range of different styles until I found a lovely dress which fitted perfectly and made me feel great. I was very unsure about a hat but Fiona helped me with that too. I now have an outfit I can’t wait to wear at the wedding.! Thank you Fiona, you made a daunting purchase much easier than I imagined. TheFerryman Charon: From first contact with Andy at York designer outlet branch our experience has been first class. We needed to hire 10 matching dress suits for our son & his grooms men. Andy was extremely approachable knowledgeable & helpful showing us the type of suits available & then arranged a suit fitting day for all the lads. We arrived for the suit fitting as arranged and all our measurements were taken by helpful polite members of staff. We were notified when the suits were ready to be collected & a member of staff even helped us carry the suits out to our car.All the suits we're immaculate they fitted perfectly & came with new shirts, pocket square,bow tie & cumubund. Only one jacket was too large & was replaced with a smaller one the next day. Overall an outstanding service from Moss bros and their brilliant staff!A big thank you to Andy & the team at the York designer outlet branch for making this so easy & helping us to look so smart.

It's packed full of products of all types, the variety that they have is honestly impressive. Due to the small size of the store, it can get very busy around Halloween and before New Year- so it's best to shop ahead if you can.
