Brew York Beer Hall & Tap Room: what do users think?
Robert Crowder: My wife and I had great time grabbing a few pints and some food here. It was a great brewery experience and I would definitely encourage you to come hungry since the food was reasonably priced and delicious.
Carol Rushby: Really great place with lots of different beers and fantastic food.
Sam Bottom: I will start with the fact I don’t like beer. I never choose to drink it, I’d prefer a spirit or a cocktail. Or so I thought. The choice of beer here is fabulous and there are so many flavours to try. The lady who served me asked me a few questions and served me the beer she thought I would like. It was amazing. Turns out I’d been drinking the wrong beers, I should have just gone to Brew York. And then there’s the food, it’s lovely. An excellent selection to accompany the beers they serve.Dogs welcome outside too, always a bonus.
stewart picken: Really good selection of beers and the pairing with Yuzu street food is great - bar consistently let down by a lack of bar staff meaning long queues.
Fox Witton: As always, great place, great beers, just perfect
Jonathan Anderson: Great selection of beers. Only criticism is one of the barmen didn't know much about them.
Tristan Hawkins: I’ve been to the pub in Pocklington previously and this was our first time trying out the main one in York. Really impressed. Good selection of beers on offer and a nice large relaxed area to enjoy them in. Tried a few different ones and they were all brilliant. One we liked less but that was down to personal taste rather than anything wrong with the beer. The weather was awful but there was still space for everyone to sit . Outside there was a lovely area that you can see would be fantastic in warmer weather.I’m very jealous of locals that get to come here regularly.
Ant Smith: Massive range of beers in the beer hall. Staff are knowledgeable and happy to help. Beers aren't cheap but you can have tasters to make sure you're spending on something you like. Juice Forsyth, Rhubarbara Streisand and Moo Tang Clan highly recommended.
Fiona Cheng: It’s definitely a hidden gem. The collaboration of local beer and Asian style food is a great concept. We truly enjoyed the whole experience. Thx
Ben Alexander: An excellent taproom. Plenty of space, vast selection of beers in leg and cask in just about any style you could ask for. Friendly staff, plenty of fridges for your takeaway beers but the real gem here is that there’s food! Manchester has some great taprooms but none serve food. Just awesome. Would recommend and I will be returning in the future.
Kate P: Brewery tour was interesting and pretty good value. Great choice of beers, good atmosphere.
Derek Williams: Great atmosphere and over 40 brews on tap behind the main bar/restaurant upstairs. Great menu of Japanese/Korean dishes and fries of excellent crispness. Will definitely return for another great meal and exciting brew
Sam van Rood: fantastic amount of space, delicious beer and even wheelchair accessible
Alexandra B-T: Amazing place to try wonderful beer. 40 lines of Brew York and collabs they have done. A very welcoming atmosphere with a real buzz about the place. People enjoying wonderful beer. They have some 2.7% stouts ranging to a 15% all for you to try. The food also was beautiful and a huge selection for everyone's dietary needs.
James Ingham: Lots of seats, good selection of drinks and food
David Arnett: Worth a trip just for a pint of Tonkoko on tap.The service was great, had a great beer selection.
rob morgan: Rude bar staff. Leaving cocktail equipment out on the open bar is also a health risk.
Mr. Seddon: Good selections of tasty craft beer. Tastes even nicer on draught. Often good folks on the counter/till which’ll direct you to the discount beers, too.
Edward Walker: Excellent food, ramen and especially the pickles , beer not too shabby either 😋
Tally Diablo: Amazing beers in amazing surroundings ! Great friendly helpful staff... Highly recommended
Adam Currey: Class

Brew York Production Brewery: what do users think?
Seb The Globetrotter: We went there for the 6th birthday bash, and it was brilliant. Plenty of awesome beer to try, reasonably priced, great atmosphere. And thank you for the beer glass, it has become my new favourite! I hope to see you in a year's time 🍻
Daniel McGwinn: Went for a beer festival which was well organised with all the Brew York team and volunteers happy and helpful. Some great guest breweries in too. It's quite far out of town and involves a little bit of walking from the nearest bus stop so bear in mind if visiting. Plenty of space inside, but note it's not normally open to the public. Not at the time of writing anyway. They have a bar in he city centre.
Priest Town Brewing: Great place
Debra Moore: Happy 6th Birthday . You have created a fantastic place . Well worth a visit . Please carry it on in the future
Carl Ellis: Great lads who are always ready to help out a neighbour 👍

BrewDog York: what do users think?
joanna smith: Good fun doing the £1 sample tasters
Emma Hayward: Host’s knowledge and stories made great listening. Tasting was interesting and enjoyed the accompanying cheese. Purchased some cans and whilst the Elvis Juice did not come canned it was an option to have done canned on the day. Would recommend
John Nerney: They don’t accept cash! Very annoying!
it's all about the hills: Went with my 2 children who are 11 and 15, theyd run out of fries (on a bank holiday) , I realise this is a minor thing to most but if your kids don't like the look of the menu, fries are a solid fall back, so we left.
Helen Paterson: Great pizza
Darren “DAZZLA” Lewis: I love it here.Even considering quitting my job, moving to York. Working 2 day weeks and sitting keeping this place alive. 6*
Bill Hocking: Always good beers in brewdog but whats happening with hazy?
Mel Statner: Rather offhand staff, disinterestedly informed me they don't take cash (as the sign on the door does indeed say). Therefore unable to partake of Brewdog's offering.A gesture of some regret may have indicated some modicum of regard for actual customer satisfaction.
Corrie Lamont: Had my birthday do there, awesome place, great beer and foosball!
steve machan: In a time warp at BrewDog York, where they think we're still riddled with covid and is table service only, so for the last time until normal service is resumed (place is dead) suppin "Hazy Jack" ps no other brewdog is doing thisIn regards to your reply,1. no bad attitude was given, if i was giving bad attitude you would have known about it2. what’s with the hazy jack availability, given that we were ushered away from looking at the drinks menu display, we asked for hazy jane peach or guava, you had neither so settled for hazy jack, not once did i mention hazy jack availability at all3. Going by how quiet the place was, get your facts correct before replying with negativityThank you for your replyLive long and proper 😀👍🖖
sandra cross: John was really informative about the brewing process and we got to taste samples of 5 different brews.Enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours
Dmitrii Shcherbakov: Beer is pricey but goodChicken wings are very sour as if they were dumped into vinegar before serving
orlagh m: A great BrewDog. Great staff and fantastic music
Paul Weeding: Spent a awesome late afternoon & evening here on Valentine’s Day, staff were super friendly and despite not booking in advance, we weren’t asked to vacate our table. Will visit again next time we’re in York 👍👌
Edward Bentley: Great pizzas! We visited for the pizza deal, it was lovely handmade pizza bases with tasty toppings.Beers were good, and all the staff were helpful even though it was on the busy side, offered us tasters of some of the beers before we decided on a pint.Only let down were the fries that were a bit under cooked, and a slight wait on pizzaWe’ll be back 😊
Adam Scanlon: Pizza 🍕 was spot on. We had one each and shared them, both were great. They also have a large double fridge with a Good selection of brewdog beer & guest beers that I've never heard of or seen available to take home or drink in the bar for an extra charge
Chris Cuinu: We are local and we love this place ☀️
David Poole (Dpoole): Went in to the bar while in York on 10/02/23, and was offered an excellent choice of drinks.Special mention to the lady who served us, Charlotte. She was extremely knowledgeable about the drinks she served, and offered very helpful suggestions for different ales. Will definitely be back!!
Lynden Demaine: As with most brewdogs, it's a decent place for a beer. Marking one star off due to lack of food available.
Jack Leslie: Tom, Jodie and Jackson are all smashing staff members here. fabulous customer service recommend to anyone who likes beer!
Roger Hall: Great place.

House Of The Trembling Madness: what do users think?
Vicky Knott: Awesome place. Bar upstairs has a fabulous atmosphere. Staff are knowledgeable about their drink selection aswell as being super friendly. 👌
Francesco Puglisi: They have the widest selection of beers I've ever seen in a pub/shop.
Richard Ontiberoz: Beef stew was daily special, good and hot with very nice fresh bread. Tap bottle and can beers available.
wilfrid t: Quirky bar/restaurant with immense range of beers and terrific, good value food. Good service, lovely old premises great atmosphere.
James Browne: Fantastic.Great beer and fabulous food.
Cal Wickham: Best atmosphere in town
Gemma Boothroyd: Great gf beer selection!
John Nerney: Don’t accept cash! Very annoying!
Mat David: Great beer shop. Stock a huge range
COlin Harrison: Amazing place wouldn't have known there was a bar upstairs. Pleased someone told me. Good strong cider and beer. Great place.
Alexander Sinclair: House of trembling madness; house of drinking nirvana. Can’t describe just how superb this place is. Spirits in the basement, craft beer on the ground floor and beer/cider opulence upstairs. Just go, you’ll be telling your grandkids about it…..Just steer clear of the strange man in the corner, will try to sell you fish…..
Wayne Moon: Cracking little place, defo worth a visit
Adam Helmy: One of my favourite places for a little tipple in York! The cost bar upstairs has a great little view of York Minster.
Jeremy Stonehouse: Quirky venue. Often busy.
Le Nosfe: Huge variety of craft beer and spirits, highly recommend!
debbie veryard: Good ales, excellent food. (Real mash potato) had bangers and mash, hubby had venison and Bacon pie. Great pub and beer & Spirits shop. Will be back definitely.
Danny Dixon: Came with my girlfriend for her birthday. The place is quirky and unique. Attracts a whole different range of people. I think the most important thing to know about this place is, I suffer from bad social anxiety but I felt so at ease here as the customers who go there are all very willing to communicate and have a laugh with complete strangers. To the point me and my gf invited a complete stranger to our table as there were no seats left. He was travelling alone from Switzerland and was lovely and it made our evening. The staff even said they thought we knew him! But that is thanks to the energy and vibe the place has. The staff are lovely and very knowledgeable about the beers. I didn't know what to order so they asked what I usually drink and found one that fitted it and they got it spot on, was lovely! And strong which was a bonus! Had the Yorkshire and madness platters and they were unbelievable tasting and very filling but too good to let any go to waste. Probably the best shop/bar/eatery I've ever been to.
Jack Lacoste: One of the best pubs in the country. Great beer, fair prices, exceptional food at bargain prices. An absolute must visit for any serious beer lover.
Sean Dobson: Unique place to buy or drink
William Kay: Small eatery upstairs with many ales from around the world 🌎 to choose from. It looks like a shop from the outside so definitely go in an have a browse.
Jimmy Tuffrey: Crazy staff, awesome pub.

Hop O'Clock: what do users think?
Tori (x0Kiss0fDeath): A cozy spot in a fairly central location in York. Friendly staff with a nice mix of styles on the tap lines and an even bigger selection in their bottleshop room. Worth paying them a visit if you're in York :)
Tom Mawdsley: Really welcoming and great selection of beers!
Andrew Backer: Excellent little bar and bottle shop, with lively staff and chill customers. It’s not a scene or a pub, and better for it.
Martin Dale: Cracking little bar
Martyn Lassey: Great little craft beer shop. Always have excellent beers on tap and a brilliant selection of cans. Nice chilled out vibes only 1min walk from the Shambles.
Natalie Denysenko: Купувала крафтове пиво різних виробників. Не погане)
Mike H: Some very nice beers, made to feel welcome and they serve 1/3 pints so can try a few different ones.
David Foster: Wonderful little store selling a great range of Micro/Craft beers. They have on draft, in bottles, and in cans. Well worth a visit.
Elliott Gledhill: Cute little place with a great rotating selection of beers. Jimmy and Julia are always so welcoming and Max is great when he makes an appearance 😋
Jonny Cope: Fantastic little bar and shop. They’ve got a good selection of beers of 4 taps, some of which have only just been released, and a goo bottle selection. It’s small so there are only about 5 seats, perfect for a little drink in the day by yourself or with a friend. Atmosphere is very chill, with great music (not too loud) and a lovely cat roaming around.
Barry Dodds: Just a different beat & all better for it & me

Scott Ufton: Great little Micropub with 4 quality beers to choose from, very friendly staff.

Masala Craft- Indian Street Food and Craft Beer Bar: what do users think?
Praful Keshwala: Food was very bad. We ordered pav bhaji and it a really small portion not enough for kids as well 2 spoon fulls . Avoid this place. Don’t waste your money there
Spike Cotter: Good food! Lots of gluten free options! Did not get sick! (Celiac). I think the flavors were nice but I am not a curry expert. We had the bahji, tandoori chicken, potato curry and polano rice. Tapa size portions. It was enough for us but you might want to add an additional dish.I would eat here againReasons it got four—portion size and restaurant cleanliness. I think many restaurants are overrated.
Gaurang Trivedi: Worst restaurant ever visited. Neither food nor the quality of the food matches the Indian Standard.Pav Bhaji was so spicy that my daughter started crying. Will not recommend
Puja Jadav: Food was mind blowing. I didn't expected it be good like the ones in India but I was surprised how well they have prepared the food. It tasted amazing.Best service I must say. Went to that place a little late very close to closing time so we couldn't eat at the restaurant so we opted for takeaways. They didn't have some things left with we wanted (which is good sign that their food was good) but whatever we got was amazing.Recommendation- samosa chaat and vada pav. Also had panner Achari and Garlic Naan but best was chat 😋Vegetarian options: Many good veg options available.
Steven Williams: Best Indian I've ever eaten.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Gerry Prior: The food was very nice, coyldn't fault it, however the restaurant was very cold. We didn't realise that we were required to keep the same plates which wasn't helpul as we had stacked them together after the first course. Using the same plates would have been fine, had we been told at the begining. As stated, the food was great.
Andy Mcclintock: We had our NYE meal out and it was amazing, the food was really tasty and the staff were really helpful and polite. It’s a nice relaxed atmosphere and the food came out in good time. It’s 1 of the best Indian meals I have eaten in a long time and I’m looking forward to heading back again soon. The Samosa chaat was banging…..
Sian MacTaggart Lamb: Staff are absolute stars. Dinner with a show.Decent food with some standout dishes. We are vegan and had plenty of options
Ivan Endicott: Average food but the staff were friendly enough. I personally feel it was a bit overpriced for the size of the dishes to be honestFood: 2/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 2/5Recommended dishes Poppadoms …More
Keiron Bettridge: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Matthew Parkinson: Amazing Indian street food. Perfect if you fancy something slightly different, but with options for the more typical curries (tikka masala) too. I recommend the donuts and dumpling starter, they tasted great!
Paul Norman: Excellent food, not too pricey. Great friendly staff. Chris, the manager, what a great asset he is. Definitely will be back when in York again.
dave cullen: Lovely unexpected meal here last night after original venue just seemed to far after days journey. Staff super helpful, draught indian lager and some nice twists on the usual fare. Try the yoghurt chaat boom!! Highly recommended
Heeseung Lee: Lamb curry with rice was extraordinary, the best curry I’ve ever had before 😍😍 Also the mojito was perfect as well. I’m definitely revisiting this restaurant again, and the staffs are very friendly and kind as well 😀
Vallée De-Arné: We had a fantastic meal for FOUR with drinks, well, cocktails anyway. We received a warm welcome upon our arrival. We ordered cocktails on arrival, four different ones, absolutely gorgeous drinks. Our server was most helpful with great advice. We had starters and mains, he did ask if we were ok with everything arriving when they were ready, this was ok with us as we were famished. I must admit there wasn't much delay with the starters arriving and the mains, TBH they probably all came at the same time.UPON reflection the food was fantastic, plenty for all, maybe too much as we had to take a doggy bag with us. We loved the cocktails, much better than the ones we had in the hotel 😁.Would deffo go again when we come to York......
Chantel Cowell: Beautiful!! Absolutely gorgeous, the lamb madras was absolutely Devine.. it really is a hidden gem in York.
Knowledge Consulting: Really tasty food at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
Chris Carlton: really good food and staff, cocktails are good. Nice backstreet restaurant. Worth a visit.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Dinah Mulvenna: Found this little gem at the beginning of the year the food is amazing as is the staff they cant do enough to make shore you have the best exsperiance they can offer, the mixed grill is very good offering little bits of everything also masala dosa best iv had Masala Fries are my sons favorite including the peshwari naan he loves the railway potato cury and chicken pakoras, my faverite tho is chana dal lental curry and the Achari paneer Tika is a furm favorite of all of the family if you only try it once id advise to order yoghurt chat boom these little morsels are a tast explosion that you will never regret also the drinks are realy nice cocktails made with love and plenty of yummyness to keep you comming back again and again xx
wendy Murray: So sad been looking forward to trying here.. what a disappointment, firery hot with out flavour , when i mentioned this the chef came out to intimidate us left without finishing drinks or food , very bad end to what should of been a family trip out .. shame on you … indigestion and sickness to remember it by….UPDATE to you response there was only three pieces of meat in my meal which I agree we ate , the whole sauce was left along with full rice and naans never arrived so could not of eaten them , I wrote only one review which I feel to be honest in fact it is the only review I have felt strongly enough about bad food to have written , it was never my intention to get free food as we paid in full . I just wanted to give a warning to others
David Bright: Staff very attentive, the food was cooked to perfection, would definitely eat here again if in YorkFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Philip Doyle: Great people watching stools, to watch the world go by, and fantastic beer. Unfortunately we also saw a pigeon being run over...pop!
Sue Christophers: Popped in as it looked a cool place to go. Right on a corner, with full length windows making it bright and airy. Had an Espresso Martini with their 2 4 £12 deal, seemed rude not to!! I was not disappointed, very tasty!
George Hedley: Quite a small pub with a good number of beers on tap. Staff were a little stressed, especially when we ordered food and they said it was going to take a while!
