Lorraine Goodall: We stayed here for 2 nights. It was warm comfortable and compared to the cost of a hotel ,good value. I would recommend and stay again. Close to York and some very nice pubs for eating out. My only con is the checkout at 10am which was just a bit of a rush.

Chris Binns: Lovely cottages converted to holiday lets finished to a very high standard. Stayed in No4 which has 2 bedrooms both en-suite. There is also a downstairs toilet. Kitchen has all the equipment you may need if you want self-catering. Also a welcome pack waiting which was a nice touch. Very quiet area, the other cottages were occupied but didn't hear any noise from them at all. Only a few minutes from Bishopthorpe which has a couple of very nice pubs and is a great alternative to a very busy York. No 4 does not have a private outside space.

Chris Webb: lovely place

Leslie Ridpath: Lovely cottage in a gated location , had 5 lovely days here, exploring York and surrounding attractions!

mike p: Lovely well keeped cottage set in a private estate.. perfect holiday rental

Gary Rolinson: Really nice place and surrounding grounds

Mark Sayer: Great cottage very clean totally relaxing would come again

jim edwards: Lovely cottage in a lovely place, spotlessly clean, couldn't fault it if you paid me. Definitely recommend

Kerry Williams: Great cottage, we stayed in number 5. Lovely interior, kitchen/lounge, dining table for 4, 2 double bedrooms, generously sized, comfy beds. Main bathroom with a good shower over a bath. Downstairs toilet too, child friendly kitchen items including a booster seat. Kitchen well equipped but missing a microwave, not a big deal for us. Travel cot and bedding if needed. Lovely location in a quiet village with a 10 minute bus ride into York City centre. Asda and Tesco both deliver here. A welcome pack of cereal, milk, tea, coffee, sugar provided. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this cottage.

Simon Jenkinson: Extremely comfortable

Ian Entwistle: Gorgeous, clean, perfect location for visiting york

Dave Forrest: Lovely little cottage, very busy road to pull out on to, but nice place to stay and close to York. Can’t hear road at night

Kay Goodier: Fantastic accommodation, Michael give excellent directions to the cottage and was in touch before we arrived with everything we needed to know , the cottage was warm , spotlessly clean, well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds and great location if your visiting York and surrounding areas. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely be returning. Thank you 😊

earl hyde: Fantastic retreat. Well presented. Clean. Cosy.Ideal base for a visit to York.

Linda Powell: Small cottage in a courtyard. Lovely garden, large one bedroom.

David Hutchison: Enjoyed a 5 night stay here. The rooms were clean enough, although slightly tired in parts. However there was everything you could need within the property and a separate laundry should it be required. The rear of the property has a large grass area which was ideal for kids to run about. The property is also adjacent to a ant nursery which has a good cafe, so your not far away from a good breakfast and coffee should it be required.Close enough to York to be there within 20 minutes and very close to a large shopping area which also has a park and ride, so there are plenty options to get into town should it be required.

Peter Waring: Brilliant stay through Air b&b

sandra Rose: Great base. Clean comfortable Great valueWe did whitby twice. Scarborough. York twice and Nottingham on the way home .Cafe next door is legendaryEveryone was super nice

Lukasz Krol: Nice and cosy cottage. Very quiet and relaxing. Pet's friendly. Electric car chargers available for costumer. 2 minutes walk is nice cafe with good breakfast.

David Martin: Good, simple, clean and easy access to York & the Moors. Surprisingly quiet, bit tricky to get out onto A64 at peak times.

David Fairey: Will return to this amazing place.

Lynn Dodson: Perfect little hide away.

Andrew Compton: Lovely cottage, perfectly situated a short drive from York. Superb open plan kitchen diner with 5 bedrooms all with en suite facilities. Lack of ventilation and air-con can lead to some discomfort on hot days, but I imagine it would be amazing and very cozy in the winter.

Natalie Martin: Lovely presented cottages, dog friendly and big garden for kids to run around. Only downside is driving out of driveway onto main road as very busy road towards Scarborough/York.

Smile L: Absolutely delightful beautiful place safe and secure loved every single bitof the stay 10/10

Khalid: Excellent facilities and ideal for families.

P Bee: Nice surroundings and cottage good size but lacks the finishing touches, needs updating, The shower is not good to use, no kitchen curtains , toaster horrible!

Michele Cameron: Just back from a 4 night stay. Our group was 4 adults and 2 children.I highly recommend these cottages, very clean and cosy. The house had everything we nedded, the hot tub was a total hit with us all and the adults also enjoyed the sauna. We will definitely be visiting again

Pat Smith: Loved it, only 2 miles from the centre of York but so very quiet and peaceful.

Elena Leeming: Absolutely loved out 2 week stay here. The cottages have everything you need. The site is clean and there are hot tubs..bbq area..picnic tables..stayed here while we renovated our house across the road. It was a nice escape. Highly reccomend this place!

Darren Leeming: Absolutely amazing tranquility just outside of the City of York. Brilliant for couples and families. Enjoy the jacuzzi, sauna, BBQ area and local walks.

Helen Lane: Lovely clean facilities and well equipped kitchen.

Gareth Roberts: Lovely well equipped cottage, use of hot tub, games room and sauna. Ideal for Monks cross shopping park and the York city park and ride.Nearby activities: York city, retail park and designer outlets. Plenty to do further afield in north Yorkshire.

Rosie Milne: Lovely quiet spot despite being just off the main road. The hot tub and sauna were a big hit. So helpful. Thank you.

Sally Oldbury: but the provision of bread, sugar, coffee sachets and ice in the freezer was a very kind touch. All bedding and towels included. Washing up liquid and hand soap provided. Take extra loo rolls tho. Sadly it smelled a little musty on arrival and bedding, furnishings a little dated and ready for replacement. The fabric sofa under the stairs is a little smelly and has a hard board in it at the back when you sit down so sit towards the front. Very loud boiler and incredibly creeky floors. Shame that the stove/fire in the living room is for show only. Comfortable beds and good thick pillows. Nice big towels. The hot tub was large, clean, and it looks like further developments in that area are ongoing. Well maintained grounds. Large modern TV in the lounge and bedrooms

Murton Grange: what do users think?

Alan Broughton: Roomy and well equipped accommodation in a pleasant location. Very clean and tidy on arrival the cleaners etc did a first class job and were helpful and very nice. Thank you, would recommend and stay again.Rooms: Enough space for up to 19 to stay. Some of the furnishings are perhaps a little tempered in quality due to too many thefts by less than honest visitors but it's a good place to stay. Even has a room great for drying clothes. Switchable outside lights are very good although our bedroom had a light right outside which defied any attempts to switch off.Walkability: Local walks available so good for our canine friends. Nice view of York minster in the distance. The nearby A64 did not intrude on the quiet setting.Noteworthy details: Plenty of space to park. Hot tub available which we used. Well equipped. Ideal for big family get togethers and safe for children. A short drive gets you to a park and ride for access to York.

Gary Veal: Outstanding chalet but not cheap.Highly recommended, everything you could want or need supplied.3 of us in chalet for 6 so would have been better value if 6.Rooms: Clean and very well equipped

jennie O: We booked the farmhouse and 3 cottages for a hen do. It was the best venue i have ever been to!!Everything was clean and as descripted on the website, the beds were really comfy and the room sizes were great.Couldn't fault a thing about it, thank you so much for having us and we cant wait to come back.

Tems 3Boys: Went for a look,. Nice cottages clean and tidy. Hot tubs not very private from one another

Michael Day: Great location.Cottage 8 was just what we needed.Very clean, everything worked.Staff where friendly and helpful. We had a great family week in York and the cottage was Fab.

Nicola Smith: Excellent facilities, home from home, very clean and very accommodating. This will definitely be a repeat visit for our family.

Lucy DAY: Nice place to stay. Near York easy to access park and ride facilities.

Srikanth Chundu: Convenient location and easy drive to York. Cottages are spacious and comes with all amenities for self catering. There is a BBQ and HOTTUB which was really good. We were in cottage 8. Close to a busy road and can be noisy if you open the windows/doors

Wolds Edge Holiday Lodges: what do users think?

Margaret Docherty: We have been going to Wolds Edge for a number of years now. If your looking for a peaceful and relaxing time, these are the lodges to try. The lodges are so clean and comfortable, and Ruth and Steve are lovely hosts and are so helpful. The site is situated in a picturesque village with lovely pub and great food. Would definitely recommend.

Gary Woodhead: was also enjoyable and friendly. Each morning you’ll probably wake up to the chickens and squirrels sat at the patio door waiting for their breakfast. We had to Google what we could feed them, turns out whole grain bread is fine, which we had and shared with them all.You won’t regret stopping here, it’s perfect and we’ll probably return again.

Anna Broadbent: Just returned from a 3 night break in Rabbit Dale lodge and had a lovely time. The lodge was well equipped and had everything we needed, would definitely recommend staying. We stayed with two teenagers and the hot tub got lots of use, we loved the darkness and the quiet of the site - the lodges are positioned so that you can’t see others which was perfect. Booking process and communication was great, Ste greeted us on arrival and was friendly and helpful. Visited Beverley and Bridlington which are both within 45 mins drive. Hoping to stay again in the future 😊

jim clements: This was discovered by accident when it was offered as a TV prize during a programme on channel five. Anyway my wife managed to book Rabbit-dale lodge and very good it was too.The cabin is spacious and comfortable with all the things you could ever want.Newish hot tub was a cherry on the cake. Steve one of the owners is very helpful and kind. All in all a great place to chill out 😉Rooms: Apart from a few cobwebs nice and clean.

William Montgomery: Just spent 3 nights in the Honeydale Lodge, which was fantastic. The lodge comes with everything you need and the hot tub was amazing. Due to the layout of the site, each lodge feels very private and peaceful. The staff are super friendly and location is great. There's a village shop and pub within walking distance but Stamford Bridge is only a few minutes drive away if you're looking for more amenities.Highly recommended if you're looking for a romantic getaway or relaxing break and we will definitely return.

Andy Mills: Our 6th visit to Wolds Edge but last time was pre Covid. Still an excellent place to stay. Hot tub is just the icing on the cake. The kids loved that every morning and evening. We normally go to York every day as there's so much to do, but this time, we nipped over to Scarborough anow there's a d was pleasantly surprised upon how nice the place is. P&R there is great too. Now there's a dog friendly lodge, we will look to book again.

Susan Ollett: Excellent stay in Mill Pond lodge. Lovely and clean and very well equipped. Would recommend.

Victor Kolinatirch: Very nice break away. Located in a small village, with 1 shop [has what you need, toiletries, snacks, some foods, bread] and 1 pub. Trails to walk around. Stayed in the Honeydale Lodge. Very large, tidy and clean. Jacuzzi was clean and very nice, checked every morning. Bathrobs and towels provided, as well as slippers. Probably the first lodge in the UK I stayed in where the shower doesn't leak through the doors. Not a place for kids, as there's literally nothing for them to do, or teenagers. It's a honeymoon or couples break sort of place. Which is what England is lacking. Fridge had bottle of fresh milk, which was great. There was a thumping sound through the days we stayed coming from a nearby field. It was loud enough to disturb the peace. Not sure if this was building works or other. No noises at night. Note: no door separating bedroom and living room.I would stay again 101%. I will be back in the future.

Matt Fussey: Me and my partner recently stayed at Wolds Edge as a short getaway following our marriage. The lodge was well equipped and perfect for our few days away. What struck us was just how quiet the area is, it was ultimate bliss. The lodge is just a short walk into the village which again is so quiet and everybody is very friendly. We are already plotting a return visit, children free 😁😁!

Simon Choppin: Stayed for 2 nights in one of the Shepherd's huts. Fantastic facilities. Having our own bathroom just a stone's throw away was great. Everything spotless, lovely touch having a food hamper too. We came over during a cold snap and the wood burner kept things very warm. You have to pay extra for the wood but you get loads for the money. A single load will get the small space very warm.We walked to the local pub for food one of the nights, probably a 5-10 minute walk away. Lovely idyllic village.Would love to visit again in one of the larger lodges next time.

Victoria Mardle: Perfect every time.Peace and quiet, spotless accommodation, gorgeous hot tub, helpful hosts, beautiful location. Not our first stay and it won’t be our last.Thank you for having us again, Ruth.

Vikings Accommodation: what do users think?

Kez Fuz: and on a quiet side street with parking that is only £5 a day just outside the property. The gentlemen who showed us in gave us lots of advice on what to do/see in York and kindly told us that we can use the kitchen downstairs in the lobby to store drinks/food if we needed to. The room was the top floor one which had 2 skylights and a well fitted en-suite bathroom 🚽. 2 nights cost £137 which was very reasonable. We would definitely come again!

Jen Duffy: The hosts gave us such a warm welcome , showed us an easier way to get to the train station for way home , carried our bags upstairs to our room ,wished us an happy anniversary, and even gave gave us a card ,our room was cozy and warm and they asked if we had everything we needed ,the provided a cot for our baby and was really sweet with him every time they saw him ,in this hotel you are welcome to buy food and cook it and gas a lovely area to rest or eat ,I would definitely stay again we had a lovely stay

Boof Edge: I stayed there on Sunday for 2 nights, for my birthday. What an excellent, enjoyable stay we had. Moss was there on our arrival, it was around 20:00, and was very friendly and attentive from the start, there doesn't seem anything that he won't do to make your stay a great one.He gave us a map and took time to show us where to go and how to get there and a few places that we were on about going.Could not fault our room, Vikings Accommodation is an absolute gem of a place. 5 minutes walk from the town, with a few nice pubs and shops on the way. Will definitely be staying there again, hopefully in March.Thank you Moss👍👍👍👍

Marion Polhill: Host is pleasant and accomodation was warm, inviting, clean and tidy. Room was lovely. Also great location for visiting the Shambles and York Minster.Rooms: My daughter and I were allowed to bring our two Chihuahuas. Everything was considered for the needs of guests.

Mary Kivlin: was so comfortable and spacious, a home away from home, so peaceful too. Both of us slept brilliantly, mind you the miles of walking we did each day helped with that. Coffee and tea facilities in room are excellent, little biscuits and chocolate too. Bathroom was fab and had everything we needed. Highly recommend as so central for going everywhere. Thanks so much for a perfect stay

The Dovecote Barns: what do users think?

Allan Jones: We used the mobility unit called Irishman’s Cottage and felt the facilities were great for a limited mobility/ wheelchair user. Parking was provided adjacent to the ramp upto the main door, doorways both external and internal were wide enough for Zimmer and wheelchair, the shower unit was fully accessible and a shower seat provided. The welcome hamper was very well filled and the facilities inside had everything we needed. The adjacent garden area was nicely enclosed and had a small seating area and protected lawn area for our use. We will definitely be returning.

Aileen and Will: Dovecote Barns was the perfect place to stay with my large family over my wedding! The accommodation is beautiful and met our requirements exactly - especially the Long Barn, which was great for big family meals, flower prep, getting ready with my bridesmaids and we even managed to fit in my nephew’s family birthday party too!! Brigita was incredible and communicated with us from before booking to after check out to make sure we had all we needed. We couldn’t recommend Dovecote Barns enough!Rooms: The rooms were all fantastic! We had some specific requirements and Brigita helped make sure they were met!

Gavin Rugg: We hired out the whole site as accommodation for a nearby wedding. I cannot rate the Dovecote highly enough. The place is really phenomenal and I would definitely recommend to anyone as a great place for a holiday. Brigita could not have been nicer and more accommodating, making the experience even better. The kitchens were especially well equipped and well kept with everything needed.

Lucy Scott: . We appreciated the the local touches in the generous welcome hamper, and the food we ordered in with the hosts help from a local bistro was amazing. Brigita is a thoughtful and welcoming host and it was a privilege to stay in your immaculate property. Thanks for making our family get together so memorable.

Norfolk Cottage: We have stayed in the Dovecote at Dovecote Barns five times now! The accommodation is beautiful and completely immaculate every time. We are always made to feel so welcome by Brigita and as a family of four always feel it has everything we could need. The kitchen is so well equipped and the beds are so comfortable. We love the location for easy access into York, yet so calm and quiet. Thank you!

terry Kennedy: Excellent accommodation everything you need. fantastic welcome hamper and great place to be at

Nicky Hargreaves: We booked the Grand Barn at very short notice due to the accommodation we were due to stay in elsewhere having a flood and cancelling. In hindsight this was the best thing that could happen as we got to experience a wonderful break at Dovecote. From the minute i booked i had great communication with Brigita, she was a great source of knowledge on the local area and very helpful. But the quality of the accommodation speaks for itself, top end quality, every room is breathtakingly furnished, the barn has everything you may need and the welcome basket was a welcome touch. We were staying for my 50th birthday and Brigita even gave us recommendations for lovely restaurants nearby. Overall would not hesitate to recommend, infact i have already done so with all my friends

Priory Cottages: what do users think?

Bex Strachan: We had our wedding at the Priory in late 2023 but knew from the first moment we looked round in 2022 that it would be the perfect venue for us. The venue and setting is absolutely magical, but we were also delighted by the wonderful support and guidance we received from Amy and the team from our first visit all the way through to the morning after our big day.The entire Priory team were so accommodating, answering all our questions and going above and beyond to make sure we had everything ready for the big day - even accommodating special guest Alpacas during the reception! All of our suppliers were delighted when they heard it was going to be at the Priory because of the experiences they have had with both the facilities and the team. The cottages at The Priory are stunning and were perfect for our guests and us to enjoy some time together before the wedding. It really was the perfect venue, and that along with the help from the Priory team, made it the most magical day. We are even planning to go back to stay in the cottages for our first wedding anniversary as it is such a special place to us.Bex and John

Antonio Aondio: Classic cottage in the English countryside renovated a few years ago used as a wedding location.Very nice helpful staff really worth it.

Douglas Morrison: Fantastic wedding venue , nothing too much trouble for the staff. Very we managed 😀 🙌Rooms: Lovely cottages for family to stay in

Mandy Wilson: We attended Priory Farm & Cottages for a day & evening wedding reception.Wonderful venue, newer part is so well designed, beautiful views, great food and entertainment, excellent facilities especially for wedding celebrations or any other occasions.Staff were great and worked so hard.Limited number of brilliant cottages available on siteGreat location in beautiful Yorkshire countryside & easy to find from main roads.Would definitely recommend.

I C W: A beautiful and idyllic retreat, nestled away in the countryside of Yorkshire. It's so lovely to have your own home style space to come back to after a day out.Just a couple of minor niggles with cottage no.3Extractor not working in downstairs loo & no tray for the soap.Patio doors have a wide gap at the bottom and are really hard to open & closeOutdoor furniture cushions were sopping wet, even after a full day of sunshine.Lastly, didn't take kindly to large noisy delivery and movement or JCB type vehicles at 07:15 am!!All that said, we had a fantastic few days at this lovely venue 😊Rooms: Very clean and tidy and a good size, with all fresh, clean towels and bed linen.

Chris White: Priority Cottages is a delightful venue, the staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful the food is sumptuous and we were Royally entertained by the Chris White Jazz Trio

Lauren Storr: were a huge part of making our wedding day perfect so a HUGE thank you!!! The Priory as a venue itself

Patricia Myers: My son and future daughter in law are planning their wedding and we visited to see the venue. Absolutely beautiful. Very helpful staff, the cottages are excellent, well equipped and maintained.

carcrazydixon: Lovely venue. Good value for a luxurious accommodation.
