However I came away feeling happy and relieved which was due to Louise. She guided me throughout everything. She’s amazing! She’s efficient knowledgeable and very understanding to technophobes with special needs like me. She didn’t make me feel uncomfortable at all and I highly recommend this store.

TONY FITZSIMMONS: I went into the Select shop on Spurriergate in York on Monday afternoon on the off-chance that I could get a problem fixed with my Apple iPhone ID. As I entered the store Jason immediately approached me and offered assistance. He was able to concisely explain and rectify the issue in a quiet, courteous manner. It was a pleasure to be assisted by such a helpful, thoughtful young man.

Cromerty York: My old PC died with a hard drive which was running hot. Jennings provided me with a new PC and took the time and effort to copy an image over. It meant I was without a PC for a very short amount of time, and the new one worked immediately, without having to reset passwords or reinstall software. FANTASTIC SERVICE

I left 5 minutes later with the issue sorted, tested in front of me and at no cost. Mark Smith: I had great service from Jennings, My iMac was running painfully slow taking several minutes to open an application. I called Georgina who explained to me exactly what would be the issue and agreed to take the Computer in on the same day. I dropped it at the end of day they fixed it the next day and I collected it the following morning. In total I was 1 business day without a computer which is excellent service. Since getting the machine back with a new hard drive it has been like a brand new machine, I can't recommend these guys enough.

John Barefoot: , and then additionally the cost of any hardware/software needed to get the machine running again. In my case it needed a new hard drive. Since the repair a couple of months ago, it has been running smoothly, and cost much less than a new machine, which gave breathing space to consider purchase of a new machine eventually. Reception at York office was courteous and professional, but be aware it is not their role to give detailed technical information on the spot on arrival. That side is delivered once the problem is assessed. Small office on 1st floor of a building in Clifton Moor, convenient and free parking below the office. Repair took about a week, the company kept to dates and costs quoted. I would use them again for Apple repairs

DPD are next to useless, but the gamertech guys, even though delays with pick up and delivery were not their fault they bumped my playstation up the qué and returned it express delivery for free. Their communication is excellent, and most importantly my PS5 is working perfectly again

Michael Haab: We took an ipad pro that wasn't charging to Gamertech on Saturday, it was fully repaired on Monday. They were very transparent, the ipad in question has a small crack on the corner of the screen and they told us before it was booked in that removing the screen could cause the crack to get worse and it may need a screen replacement and gave us full pricing if that was the case.When it was repaired they didn't need to change the screen so we onky got charged for the charging port replacement.Excellent service and communication, I will use Gamertech for any tech repairs in the future.

Colin Reed: I thought my 16 year old iPod had sadly bitten the dust - it would only play about 3 songs before seemingly needing a re-charge. But, after giving up finding a replacement, I found Gamer-Tech online and they came to the rescue! I sent my iPod off to them - they diagnosed the problem as a faulty hard drive which they then changed for a SSD. iPod now working perfectly again - I now have a 128gb drive as opposed to 80gb original. Great service - very pleased. Can't recommend them enough.
