Michele Cameron: Just back from a 4 night stay. Our group was 4 adults and 2 children.I highly recommend these cottages, very clean and cosy. The house had everything we nedded, the hot tub was a total hit with us all and the adults also enjoyed the sauna.We will definitely be visiting again

Sally Oldbury: but the provision of bread, sugar,coffee sachets and ice in the freezer was a very kind touch. All bedding and towels included. Washing up liquid and hand soap provided. Take extra loo rolls tho. Sadly it smelled a little musty on arrival and bedding, furnishings a little dated and ready for replacement. The fabric sofa under the stairs is a little smelly and has a hard board in it at the back when you sit down so sit towards the front. Very loud boiler and incredibly creeky floors. Shame that the stove/fire in the living room is for show only. Comfortable beds and good thick pillows. Nice big towels. The hot tub was large, clean, and it looks like further developments in that area are ongoing. Well maintained grounds. Large modern TV in the lounge and bedrooms

Angela Shephard: Our first return to York Holiday Homes for 3 years because of Covid19 and it was great to be back. Wonderful location, just a 2 minute walk from the Shambles, private parking and quality accommodation. 1 Turks Head Court has 2 bathrooms, which is great for a party of 4 adults and all the modern amenities needed for a lovely stay including free WiFi. The YHH team are friendly and helpful, and the Covid19 processes are reassuring. We've been using YHH for years and will return again, which is the best recommendation you can have.

The Staff are very welcoming and couldn't be more helpful and the house is everything you need, Location is Ideal and couldn't be handier for shops, restaurants, bars and tourist attractions etc. Have been staying with York holiday homes since I was a child, I'm now 18 and couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. The houses are very clean and tidy and ideally located for the city of York and the race course. Alan Broughton: Roomy and well equipped accommodation in a pleasant location. Very clean and tidy on arrival the cleaners etc did a first class job and were helpful and very nice. Thank you, would recommend and stay again.Rooms: Enough space for up to 19 to stay. Some of the furnishings are perhaps a little tempered in quality due to too many thefts by less than honest visitors but it's a good place to stay. Even has a room great for drying clothes. Switchable outside lights are very good although our bedroom had a light right outside which defied any attempts to switch off.Walkability: Local walks available so good for our canine friends. Nice view of York minster in the distance. The nearby A64 did not intrude on the quiet setting.Noteworthy details: Plenty of space to park. Hot tub available which we used. Well equipped. Ideal for big family get togethers and safe for children. A short drive gets you to a park and ride for access to York.

Lorraine Goodall: We stayed here for 2 nights. It was warm comfortable and compared to the cost of a hotel ,good value. I would recommend and stay again. Close to York and some very nice pubs for eating out. My only con is the checkout at 10am which was just a bit of a rush.
Chris Binns: Lovely cottages converted to holiday lets finished to a very high standard. Stayed in No4 which has 2 bedrooms both en-suite. There is also a downstairs toilet. Kitchen has all the equipment you may need if you want self-catering. Also a welcome pack waiting which was a nice touch. Very quiet area, the other cottages were occupied but didn't hear any noise from them at all. Only a few minutes from Bishopthorpe which has a couple of very nice pubs and is a great alternative to a very busy York. No 4 does not have a private outside space.

Kerry Williams: Great cottage, we stayed in number 5. Lovely interior, kitchen/lounge, dining table for 4, 2 double bedrooms, generously sized, comfy beds. Main bathroom with a good shower over a bath. Downstairs toilet too, child friendly kitchen items including a booster seat. Kitchen well equipped but missing a microwave, not a big deal for us. Travel cot and bedding if needed. Lovely location in a quiet village with a 10 minute bus ride into York City centre. Asda and Tesco both deliver here. A welcome pack of cereal, milk, tea, coffee, sugar provided. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this cottage.

Robert Palframan: When we arrived at Darcy's Cottages ,specifically Willoughby's Loft after a horrendous journey due to Storm Babet,we immediately felt at home. Very comfortable with all you need for a holiday base. Michelle Crellin,when we met her was welcoming and very helpful. We explored North Yorkshire and York itself including York Minster.The Three Cups pub in Stamford Bridge is good,good food etcetera,but if you have your dog with you we found it difficult to book online,in the end we just turned up and got a table in the bar area.It was lunch time and dog friendly.

Victoria Smith: An amazing little hideaway for a UK break. Gorgeous views and a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The owners are friendly and approachable, and more than willing to help. The loft was well appointed, with a Juliet balcony that would be amazing in the summer. The bed was impressive, although favours people who prefer a softer mattress. The underfloor heating in the bathroom is luxurious when stepping out of the shower and keeps the room warm and welcoming. The kitchen is well stocked and the fresh scones were the best I've eaten! We will definitely be back, we'll try one of the other properties next time!
maria wallis: We spent a week at Darcy's cottage and didn't want to leave.A fantastic cottage in a superb location to visit whitby or York.Or if you wanted to just relax in Holtby and stay in, the bathroom is the room to be in. The icing on the cake was the home made jam, lemon drizzle cake and Michelle being kind and thoughtful, a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge to help me celebrate my birthday. Jennetta Thornber: My family stayed at Dashwood Cottage within this complex in August 2019. The cottage was delightful. Very well modernised with a fab bathroom and nice open plan layout downstairs. Kitchen fully equipped. The owner, Michelle, was lovely and had even provided a welcome basket which was much appreciated! Easy access to York too. Highly recommend this accommodation.

Kez Fuz: and on a quiet side street with parking that is only £5 a day just outside the property. The gentlemen who showed us in gave us lots of advice on what to do/see in York and kindly told us that we can use the kitchen downstairs in the lobby to store drinks/food if we needed to. The room was the top floor one which had 2 skylights and a well fitted en-suite bathroom 🚽. 2 nights cost £137 which was very reasonable. We would definitely come again!
Jen Duffy: The hosts gave us such a warm welcome , showed us an easier way to get to the train station for way home , carried our bags upstairs to our room ,wished us an happy anniversary,and even gave gave us a card ,our room was cozy and warm and they asked if we had everything we needed ,the provided a cot for our baby and was really sweet with him every time they saw him ,in this hotel you are welcome to buy food and cook it and gas a lovely area to rest or eat ,I would definitely stay again we had a lovely stay
Boof Edge: I stayed there on Sunday for 2 nights, for my birthday. What an excellent, enjoyable stay we had. Moss was there on our arrival, it was around 20:00, and was very friendly and attentive from the start, there doesn't seem anything that he won't do to make your stay a great one.He gave us a map and took time to show us where to go and how to get there and a few places that we were on about going.Could not fault our room, Vikings Accommodation is an absolute gem of a place. 5 minutes walk from the town, with a few nice pubs and shops on the way.Will definitely be staying there again, hopefully in March.Thank you Moss👍👍👍👍

Mary Kivlin: was so comfortable and spacious, a home away from home, so peaceful too. Both of us slept brilliantly, mind you the miles of walking we did each day helped with that. Coffee and tea facilities in room are excellent, little biscuits and chocolate too. Bathroom was fab and had everything we needed. Highly recommend as so central for going everywhere.
