ZEYRON: Had my hair cut from Nick today. Absolutely love it. I aways had my hair cut at Toni & Guy on the Gold Coast Qld Australia. Since returning to the UK my hair was just not being cut how I like it. Was well worth the travel from Scarborough too York. Nick just completely understood how I like my hair without saying very much and also adding how he felt my hair should be cut. Worth every £ and the travel too York.

With over thirty years experience in styling, Simon is fully up to date with the latest cutting and colouring techniques. Constantly scouring the country for new ideas and inspiration, always in search of perfection. Simon has trained with Charles Worthington and Andrew Collinge, and brings superior hairstyling to York.
Georgie has been part of the Kudos team since 2011. She is an expert in all aspects of hair design, creating bespoke colours for her clients alongside precision cutting. Georgie also specialises in beautiful bridal hair and also the application of the number 1 hair extensions RACOON.
Samantha arrived at Kudos in 2015 having previously gained skills and experience working in a top salon in Australia. Sam creates personalised hand painted colour, achieving seamless and stunning results. She is always enthusiastic to entice her clients in re-designing their look with her expert cutting techniques.
Poppy began on an apprenticeship scheme with Kudos in 2010 on her journey to now becoming an advanced stylist. She has trained with some of the biggest names in the hairdressing industry. Client satisfaction guaranteed with perfect on trend colouring and cutting techniques.

Then Chrissy came to take me up to the treatment room which was warm and welcoming. Then she sat me down to talk through what area I wanted to be treated and then recommended a couple of options, making sure that I would get the best outcome. She was attentive, accommodating, knowledgeable and practical. She always told me what she was going to do and why, what I’m going to feel, etc. As I had an event to attend that night, I opted for the carboxytherapy which helped the plumpness of my skin and smoothened the circles under my eyes.She has a wealth of knowledge about beauty therapy products and treatments and keeps it really holistic and practical at the same time.Jasmine was lovely, and I had one of the best head massages ever!! He knew exactly what I needed and he got it spot on - colour and cut, which I’m utterly delighted with! I was inspired to go to him as he does my friend’s hair and her hair always looks fabulous.His studio is so peaceful and full of gorgeous plants and it feels like you’ve stepped into a little oasis. I've absolutely under-utilised Tim's talent on a basic haircut, but despite this, on both visits he's been a welcoming guy to have cutting my hair, the studio is very green and chilled, which I like and the team are all really easy to chat to. It feels like a trusted, friendly environment, for sure.I make a point of waving when I walk past and look forward yo my next visit.

The service was attentive, warm and welcoming and the salon was clean and calm with nice ambiance of gentle music and conversation. I was offered a drink upon entry and my coat was taken, and the wait time was very short. I was very well taken care of, my needs were listened to and met easily and I was consistently asked throughout the process if I was happy and if I wanted to change anything. Abi explained every step of the process to me so I was comfortable and reassured at each stage. The end product is fantastic, I won’t go anywhere else for my hair now!

We seemed to work together on an idea which was refreshing. They knew what I wanted, that I was slightly anxious and had low confidence about my looks....but not after this haircut! It was nice chatting too, almost like to a longstanding friend than someone you've just met in a salon! Putting wigs on little Buddy just made the quirky experience even more fun! Thank you again for giving me some of my confidence and "edge" back. I'll see you in 6 - 8 weeks!

Honest Simon: My wife has been bringing the boys to Peacocks for quite a few years now. The staff are so good with the younger ones. As for the older clientele, that's when Peacock comes in to his own. A classic old school hairdresser, who's all about the banter and customer relations. I'm sure he sees most of these old boys as family and friends rather than just paying customers. Also, they are very good at cutting hair, which is probably more useful to know 😀
