Nelson Mak: If you are beer and ramen lover, this is a must go place. Start from 12 pm to 9 pm for food - ramen, gokzi, chips, ... And 40- choices of beer!!

Cloudfree: Loved this place. A wonderful place with a good atmosphere. Large hall and brew room with a great choice of beers and ales, with good selection of glass sizes and taster options.Yuzu eatery can also be found within the hall which complements the brewery perfectly. Nice selection of tasty food with good service.I will definitely be visiting again on my next visit!

Mark R: We visited this fab place twice in a couple of days, both were a great experience although having just read some other reviews, didn't realise there was a downstairs tap room as well as the upstairs beer hall! A good excuse to go back!Excellent selection of their own beers and a guest beer menu. Our first visit there were only 2 cask beers in the beer hall, but 6 cask on the next day. Seems some other reviews suggest there might be more cask in the downstairs tap room.Food was Korean style Asian and yummy, they also had an offer this week for free kids portion with an adult one but this wasn't advertised anywhere.Fab place and experience, we've visited quite a few tap rooms and personally this was up there with the best. We'd return for sure 🍻 🍺 🍻

Chris Goodfellow: Awesome place. Good beer, pizza and hot dogs. Barry McGill: Great homely pub with friendly staff and good value pub grub. We had the beef sani and standard chip butty which was huge. Just glad the landlord steered me away from the giant chip butty. Well worth a visit but make sure you have cash as they don't accept cards

Questy33: This pub in York is located on 2 floors, ground & a large cellar area, when we visited very busy. It is tucked away from the main drag, so you will need to look for it.Parking: York has challenging parking, even for Blue Badge holders. You really need to sit down at home & work out where you want to visit & the nearest parking available. Also, double-check the cost of parking.

MADDOGLEP: First trip to York in 5 years. Been to this pub several times since it openedGreat location at York Railway station and superb range of real ales. A very attractive building with a circular central bar lined with handpumps. Outside covered seating on the platform side. Forty plus years ago it was said York has a pub for every day of the year. Tried my best to do them all. Many now gone but also lots of new places to drink. A great City to visit for many reasons. Jorvic is named after here, the old Viking city name. Not sure where Paulicarus gets his name. Only time for a very drinkable half of Helmsley brewery bitter. A new one to me.

Adam: I’ve been up and down to York for a number of years and I was taken to the House of the Trembling Madness in my first night by a colleague. Since then it has become my firm favourite for drinks with friends and somewhere to find unique/hard-to-find beers from the shop. Service is always exceptionally friendly, prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is so relaxed!
Mark R: If you want to find the bar, head through the many shelves of cans to the staircase at the back! Once you find it, it's super cosy, lovely high ceiling, exposed beams and great animal head collection. Nice selection of cask and keg beers, you can also buy anything from the ground floor and drink in if nothing on tap takes your fancy. We'd be back for sure 🍻🍺🍻

Tracey Williams-Macklin: Lovely pub with great food. Cost of food fairly reasonable.Pints a bit pricey but they had a good selection.Vegetarian options: Had the put lentil & vegetable cottage pie: delicious. Vegetables perfectly cooked and flavoured.
Cheryl Marcus: Sam and Christian where absolutly fantastic.Very welcoming and chatty. When ever me and my mum visit York we always come here to dine. The food I had a change as always wanted to try the pie. Which was cooked by Gav. Steak and ale I tried this time and it didn't disappoint. The carrots where lovely. Callum Brown: Evening meal out for six, including 2 kids.We were warmly greeted and provided with a varied but wholesome menu.All of the adults had different mains, lamb shoulder, chicken pie, fish and chips, spinach and feta pie. All of them were delicious. Great portion sizes too. The accompanying dauphinoise potatoes and chips were delicious also.The wine selection was really good and our host knew all about them, providing us with a really good red option.Will definitely go back next time we visit York.
Will Cave: Just popped in for a pie & and a pint! Great selection on draught, gorgeous chicken pie and brilliant service! If you're looking for a pub with a welcoming atmosphere, and everything you'd desire from a pub...look no further! I very much recommend and will be frequenting here myself. It's lovely to see life breathed into a once closed venue... here's to it becoming a key spot in York!
Sarah Penn: We had a really good meal here as a family to celebrate a special birthday. The food was very good with interesting choices on the menu. Everyone was able to select something that they really enjoyed. Advice on wine was spot on. There’s a extensive and interesting wine selection. Service was good and surroundings steeped in history. We were all glad we’d chosen the Museum Street Tavern for this special event.It’s the second time I’ve eaten there recently and I’m now looking forward to trying the special lunchtime menu as well.Vegetarian options: There was a good selection of vegetarian options, not just one dish per course.

R Pillar: A great little place, don't be fooled and pass by, this place is a must visit! The bar staff were great, both polite and helpful and the pork pies simple, but great to soak up some of the alcohol! The greatest draw was the live jazz on Wednesday evening and some of the locals bring their instruments and join in the sessions. The music was great and absolutely made our evening.

MADDOGLEP: Cannot find fault with York CAMRA pub of the year 2023. A lovely pub in one of the quieter City areas within the walls. Love the layout and decor. A front bar room with a real fire and a much larger rear area with a good rear beer courtyard to boot.I know I have been before with Jorvic, not sure about Paulicarus. Five real ales. A new brewery for me, Yorkshire Dales. Had an excellent pint of Drover's Arms dark mild 3.9%. Also in CAMRA 2024 Good Beer Guide.
