Brew York Beer Hall & Tap Room: what do users think?

Lisa Hotchkin: Great place, always great food and amazing atmosphere!

Nelson Mak: If you are beer and ramen lover, this is a must go place. Start from 12 pm to 9 pm for food - ramen, gokzi, chips, ... And 40- choices of beer!!

Maggie Rock Wright: Amazing brewery, taproom and shop serving their own and guests beers. If you love craft beer you’ll love it here! Dog friendly. Huge taproom and beer garden with a small beer garden out back facing the river.

Cloudfree: Loved this place. A wonderful place with a good atmosphere. Large hall and brew room with a great choice of beers and ales, with good selection of glass sizes and taster options.Yuzu eatery can also be found within the hall which complements the brewery perfectly. Nice selection of tasty food with good service.I will definitely be visiting again on my next visit!

Joanna Rawling: Love this place .. had yummy fries and great beer! Service was amazing, the beer was cracking- Coney. Ventured onto the dark lager … ooooo delish! Great to be on beer garden again!

Katie Quinn: Love this place !! Nice beers and the low alc options are good too 🍻

Mark R: We visited this fab place twice in a couple of days, both were a great experience although having just read some other reviews, didn't realise there was a downstairs tap room as well as the upstairs beer hall! A good excuse to go back!Excellent selection of their own beers and a guest beer menu. Our first visit there were only 2 cask beers in the beer hall, but 6 cask on the next day. Seems some other reviews suggest there might be more cask in the downstairs tap room.Food was Korean style Asian and yummy, they also had an offer this week for free kids portion with an adult one but this wasn't advertised anywhere.Fab place and experience, we've visited quite a few tap rooms and personally this was up there with the best. We'd return for sure 🍻 🍺 🍻

Richie Brake: Me like beer

Matt Ward: Cool and quirky venue with a buzzing atmosphere, wide beer selection and great accompanying street food. Your around the small brewery was also great, with a very friendly and informative guide.

Stefan Neumann: Incredible selection of different beers.

Peter Mollan: Good selection of beers

SR: and a really cool venue. Unfortunately a couple of the taps weren't working so some of the lines we wanted to try were off. The atmosphere was a bit dead, but I appreciate we went on a Thursday so it wasn't going to be super rowdy! A good place to spend an hour or two with friends.

Russell Holden: Great product, some fine ales at reasonable prices. The place was packed, lots of kids running around, very noisy. Not the usual ambience of a tap room.

Mark P: A 5star establishment! Open cavernous area with a huge choice of their craft beer - plus a shop at the front too! Definitely a recommend!

House Of The Trembling Madness: what do users think?

Adam: I’ve been up and down to York for a number of years and I was taken to the House of the Trembling Madness in my first night by a colleague. Since then it has become my firm favourite for drinks with friends and somewhere to find unique/hard-to-find beers from the shop. Service is always exceptionally friendly, prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is so relaxed!

Mark R: If you want to find the bar, head through the many shelves of cans to the staircase at the back! Once you find it, it's super cosy, lovely high ceiling, exposed beams and great animal head collection. Nice selection of cask and keg beers, you can also buy anything from the ground floor and drink in if nothing on tap takes your fancy. We'd be back for sure 🍻🍺🍻

Vahe Bar: what do users think?

Christopher Nash: Well, well, well....how do I describe this bar ...Quirky, European feel .....are the first words that spring to mind…..it’s in my view a unique York Bar…and for those that follow me....you'll know I am not normally short on words....so bear with me ...here goes...atmosphere a very easy five star....it's got local regulars 'in the know' and savvy switched on tourists...it just feels so laid back...nice selection of Belgium and German beers,...the hosts are very nice, friendly and informative ….well worth a visit….can get very busy indeed….I hope this helps ...👍💯👍

Tim Crome: Great small adult bar in the centre of York, good choice of beers.

Darren Thompson: Pretty much our favourite pub in York! Always welcoming, great beer and very cool atmosphere

Glenn White: Vahe & Karen are absolutely lovely people.Great place warm friendly atmosphere

Cam Simpson: My favourite bar in York, great drink selections and warm, cosy and intimate

Donna K: Lovely place, really relaxed classy atmosphere, staff/owners were nice too, stopped in for a muled wine, best ive tasted. Will definatly visit again.

Becky Gibson Music Teacher: Just the best spot in York for an intimate drink. Amazing selection of drinks, ran by a couple who cannot do enough to help, and a barman who truly knows his beers and cocktails.Only open at the weekend, but drop in for a drink if you can - not something you will regret!

Angela & Lee Jackson-Walker: Great little spot 👍👍

Beer Hawk: what do users think?

Shaun Naylor: The food here is absolutely delicious and very filling and there's plenty to go around four of us and staff very friendly

Mark Bull: Great burger joint. Order at the bar. Excellent burgers and cheesy fries. Plenty of beer options to wash it down.

Robert Knight: Beer was great, food was even better.. was a little cold when we went. Dog friendly..

kermi moore: Food is delicious here loadedbfries are out ov this world best yet,

Martin Lingard: Visited early evening midweek in November so it was pretty quiet but it started to fill up just before we left. Both bar staff were very friendly and efficient. It’s a nice space, good location, only a short walk from the rail station. It has a good choice of beer, reasonably priced for the city centre. My daughter & me both ate there, the burgers and loaded fries were above average. We ate there prior to going to a gig and it’s ideal for this.

Jamie Hodges: Great bar, open plan and everytime I have been I have felt quite welcome. Would highly recommend the topped chips they do there!

The wookie.: Very good! But budwiser and guniness should not feature on the beer list. Stop pandering to the lager louts and plain jaynes, let them find a Weatherspoons.Overall, i like your bar!

Joe Mc: Great music 🎶 Great friendly staff, all round Great bar 🍸 thanks guys 👍

Barbara Taylor: Stopped in for a quick drink early on a Saturday evening. Beer choice was good but music was very loud and made it difficult to have a conversation. Food looked good, staff seemed friendly, would likely have stayed if it was slightly quieter

Mike773 U: Sep 2022: back again, this time with Archie, on our Leeds Doggy Ale Trail. 4th stop. We had Northern Monk x Kings Brewery: The Sun, Mango Pineapple Orange Tropical IPA 6.5%Great place and lots of choice for both ale and food. Had the Baconator, Hey Hot Stuff burgers and Cheese & Bacon fries. Meantime Brewing London Pale Ale, Phantom Brewing Pineapple Mango Orange Sour and Northern Monk Eternal IPA. Well recommended!

Martin Gilson: Nice city centre bar by bus stop for park & ride etc. Helpful, knowledgeable staff who can talk you through the extensive range on offer. Haven't eaten there so far. Loads of interesting beers, haven't found one I don't like yet!
