JoJo Maman Bébé: what do users think?
Molly Watson: Had a warm welcome on entering, staff were very helpful especially on demonstrating different baby carriers which has really helped me out. Thank you
Lesley Newton: Don't buy anything from the right-hand of the two tills at the York shop because it will give you incorrect information about how much any gift card you have is worth! On 8.12.22 was told I had a card worth £39 but I'd checked on my account that morning and discovered it was worth £63.05. The very pleasant assistant checked with IT on the phone and discovered I was right. Had I not checked I would have lost £24!!! She said the tills do 'play up'. This is just totally unacceptable.
Thomas Clarke: Terrible service from the store manager today. Tried to return an unused universal rain cover. We couldn’t return it sooner as we have had a baby (obviously!) and don’t live near a jojo. It was past the 30 days however your still selling the same item and wouldn’t even give store credit. The package did have a slight tear but that’s how it came!Won’t be using you again for any purchases. The store was completely empty- I guess because of the terrible service you guys provide.
martha lucia villamizar v: Unfortunately, not good customer service in store. When we asked them about a product from publicity sent to our home, they just said "you should walk around the store and try to find it by yourselves, if you don't see it is because we do not have it". They only hold a single product of each, so if someone buys it, you must wait a week for them to replace it and they do not offer to hold the product for you or pay in advance. So sad because we wanted to support the store in our city but now, we will just have to buy things online since they are so rude and unhelpful in store.
susan warren: Lovely choices and quality clothes at competitive prices!
Kitty Pennybacker: We bought a Love To Dream sleeping bag from here instead of Amazon as we wanted to support a small brand instead of Amazon. We had an amazing experience when we called to purchase it and then when my mother went to collect the item the next day the staff member was very rude to her as she did not have the email needed. She was begrudgingly lent the store phone to call us to confirm the order. The staff member was having to deal with a slight problem but then why does anyone shop in small stores if customer service is not amazing and kind. You pay more to shop small but if the device is not there people won’t be loyal.
Sue Ashmore: I would give ten stars if I could. My first visit to buy something for my nine month old grandaughter. It's a lovely shop, plenty of different stuff. What I like about it is you can look around without staff coming up to you & being in your face. The staff are lovely, she also said there is a shop in Nottingham but unfortunately we don't go to Notts! But I love this York store
Stuart Norton: JoJo is a good shop - the products are great quality and they are beautiful. However, here for me lies the issue. This is a premium brand selling at premium prices - think 3 bodysuits in M&S = the price of 1 here - sadly the service is not premium to match.Yes the staff are typically helpful & friendly - but there is no store to store transfer of stock if an item you want is at another store. You cannot dispose of nappies in store - not a major issue but again, a premium brand selling at premium prices and you can't cover the cost of nappy disposal for your customers?Sorry, for me it's a bit like Disney World, you walk around in awe but soon the cracks start to appear and you realise it's all a bit of a show.
Mariano Raíz: Excellent products and service! Beautiful clothes for babies!
Josh Summers: Great shop helpful staff
Paul Wainwright: Top kiddie stuff
Jon Ward: Good selection. Friendly and knowledgeable staff
Rex McConnell: Sells some very cute clothing and accessories for babies, toddlers, and young children. Also has a decent selection of educational and entertaining toys for babies and tots.

Paul Stride: what do users think?
samantha rattray: Very helpful people, 👌 helped me sort a inner tube for my pushchair last minute, very friendly and quick response 👍
A Z: Visited earlier today and they couldn't have been more friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Such a personal service with all the impartial advice you needed to help you make informed decisions. No pressure to make a purchase; they're focused on helping you find what is right for you and your growing family. Highly recommended and will definitely be going back to buy more - top class 👌🏻
Gracie Davies: We came here after discovering the car seat we had been given was an awful fit for our tiny baby. The team here are so helpful, on the hottest day of the year they carried 4 or 5 different car seats out for us the try while we waited in the shade just popping out long enough to test the baby in them. We will definitely be back when she outgrows this seat.
Russell White: It was recommended as a good place to buy a pram, We were not disappointed, a massive selection of buggies, prams and everything in-between. We purchased an amazing buggy with all the attachments including a car seat, all at a highly competitive price. I would highly recommend a visit.
David Drake: The knowledge of the staff here is mastermind level. Always helpful and so worth the visit. Can't rate the team highly enough. You need a car seat you need to visit Paul Stride!!!
Claire Stabler: So helpful! They talk you through everything and show your various options. Set everything up ready for you to take away can’t thank you enough x
gina stancer: Always great service!
Adam Pawson: Good friendly advice and plenty of time to advise us on our car seat. Good selection of seats etc.
Chloe Harrison: Once again blown away by the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. This shop and it's staff are such an asset to York, I would be so lost without it.Thank you to the team who were working today and put up with my car seat panic. Despite hours spent looking at reviews and forums online, your advice and knowledge was the only thing that gave me any clarity so thank you so much.
Adrian: Based on other reviews we were excited about getting help selecting a baby car seat. We booked an appointment for a car seat consultation and arrived on time.I was very disappointed from that point on as the service we received was poor and not the warm and friendly place we were expecting.I went to the front desk and was asked what I was looking for. I said I had an appointment booked in at 10.30am. There was just a blank stare and I had to ask what was wanted from me.-- Why is there a booking system if you don't ask my details and if you looked at my details you would know what I was looking for?-- If you had my details ask my name and introduce yourself.-- Or explain it's just to manage flow or give me something.I then said I was there for a car seat install or consultation. I immediately was interrupted and told there would be a £10 charge for installation.-- That's fine but you could address it at the time we would like to purchase and word it in a way that explains properly why.-- I never once implied or said I was expecting a FREE installWe were then told they could watch and we could install for free-- Maybe start with this!?!I was then asked if I had anything in mind. I said I had two in mind had to look at my phone as like most parents with a baby we are not getting much sleep. I got my phone out to look at the detail. I mentioned Britax Romer as that was what I could remember off the top of my head and I was cut off 'That's the brand name not a car seat'. How rude is that? I'm not an expert and here for help not to be made to feel stupid.I then found the details of the Joie which was the other car seat we were considering. I showed her and again abruptly and rudely was told 'That's not the britax that's Joie!'-- I'm not an idiot I can see that but I did explain there were TWO SEATS I was looking at, that just happened to be the one I could find first. The entire time this was happening there were two other customers waiting. I had to stop the conversation to ask if she wanted to help the customers whilst I found the car seat. She asked them what they wanted and they said they just wanted to pay, again the tone and delivery was very poor.On the showroom floor we explained the car seat we have now his head is falling forward a bit. She offered to have a look for us, which we were thankful for but on the way out she said it was probably not installed correctly. Not even considering that a lot of parents do this themselves, like I did, and you are basically saying I've not done this right which again is rude and presumptuous. It turned out it was the angle of the car seat NOT the installation.I will say I had no issue with the advice, although it was delivered too quickly and with a certain sense of patronization. I'm sure the other staff have better customer service skills and understand what good service looks like. But the entire experience was incredibly poor all in all and we had to just walk out. I would not recommend Paul Stride to other tired and stressed parents who just want a warm guiding hand to help them with big purchasing decisions. To the owners I would strongly suggest reviewing staff training at the store to ensure all customers have a consistent experience.
Sham Z: Me and my partner walked into this shop just over a week ago. The older woman at the front of the desk was so rude to me that we decided to leave straight away. As I walked out her and another shop worker(maybe owner) just stared at us quietly. No one asked if we needed help etc. Just spoken to incredibly rudely. Would neverstep foot in there again. Shocking service. Please remember in future you are also providing a service
Asha Gamble: Amazing customer service and selection of baby must haves!
Katie Carter: We took a trip over from North Leeds, recommended by my GP. We wanted some advice and guidance on purchasing a car seat for our 11 month old. We were served by a lovely lady who was both friendly and knowledgeable. With competitive pricing it was a no brainer to purchase there and then. With help to fit the seat and even help with our existing one ( we had left the new born padding in , woops! ) thank you so much again, happy customers! 100% recommend for new parents to be 🙌🏼😄
Chris Raven: Becky was extremely helpful from start to finish and had excellent knowledge of her products. She had all the time in the world to help. A true credit to the store. Thank you Becky.
Tom Sowerby: Kevin fixed our car seat! What a legend!
D Humphreys: Very helpful when I rang, and very swift delivery.
Michelle Waudby: I took my baby for a car seat consultation today. It was a bookable appointment during the covid-19 pandemic. We were the only customers in store at the time and all the guidelines were followed which was very reassuring. This was my first time buying a car seat and I'd previously found all the choices and terms overwhelming. But the staff were welcoming, friendly and guided me through everything in a way that was easy to understand.Staff were brilliant with my baby and talked to her, played with her (from a distance) and there were lots of smiles. No anxiety or "stranger danger" haha.It was nice to know that I wasn't ripped off for being so naive and new to it all too. Staff were very open and honest with me about how my current car seat was fine, safe and still usable and that I didn't need a new one yet unless I wanted one. They also picked seats out within my budget and even directed me to one that was on offer and almost £100 cheaper. So they really are for the customer and not all about making money.100% recommend these guys. Will definitely use them again in the future.I did buy a new seat and both my baby and me love it!
Mrs W: I ordered some Mountain Buggy puncture proof tyres, which I had been looking for high and low as everywhere seemed to be sold out. I had never heard of Paul Stride (they are in York, me Surrey) and looking at the reviews I thought I would give them a go. Delivery was so fast and dispatched the same day. Thank you so much, would be very happy to use again.
Ian Davies: I’d like to thank Kevin at Paul Stride for some of the best customer service I’ve experienced during this pandemic. Very responsive to emails (Something that’s been hard to come by recently).Kept up to date with my order through the process.Very good value for money for the travel system purchased too.I highly recommend 👍🏼
Annabel: Products were nice and well presented. However the lady we spoke to was incredibly rude about our budget and what we wanted. Absolutely will not be returning, horrendous customer service.
Annabell Zander: Really lovely shop with a great range of products. We will come back!
