Adam's Restaurant: what do users think?

Freddie McGrath: We went for lunch in January and had a fantastic meal. The snacks and little deserts are always delightful at these kinds of restaurants and they were delicious here. Every course was wonderfully well presented and the flavours and textures were amazing. The staff were really nice. Personable and friendly, making it more relaxed and not too starchy and formal. Would definitely recommend.

W.E.: get the bill despite asking twice and then b

Viv Tej: We went for our wedding anniversary and was not dissapointed. From the service to the food, the experience was brilliant. We went for the 7 course tasting meal, as we do not eat certain foods, we requested our dietary needs which they catered for. As I stated we were coming for our anniversary, the sent me a special menu where you can purchase balloons, flowers or cakes, which was a lovely touch, the wife was pleased when the flowers came out. Of course, being a Michelin star resturant, the food was delicious, I would defo recommend coming.

Warwick Road: We have been visiting Adams for 9 years once a year and this was the first year we sat at the chefs table , the entire evening was perfect , well presented great food and wine overlooking the kitchen was a additional fantastic experience. The kitchen team and head chef conducted themselves extremely professionally with the pressure of the chefs table watching overGreat evening and thank you Adams

Irina Chisholm: We had an amazing meal, could not falt it in any way. Service was impeccable and friendly as well, would certainly recommend it.

Wee Douglas: were the Potato Tart, warm Sourdough Bread, Ginger Trout, Bream, Skate on the Bone and the Apple Sorbet on the Brauburn Apple.Vegetarian options: The restaurant does ask about dietary requirements upon making the

H W: Sept 23 4.5/5. Dined here last evening for birthday/anniversary celebration. Second visit in four months. The tasting menu was varied and interesting, see pic. They accommodated my OH who doesn't eat red meat or chocolate. I've only docked 1/2 point as both dishes for one course were served tepid

Purnells: what do users think?

Edward Chester: Lovely food with just enough of an experimental twist. Great wine pairings and reasonable value for the class of dining. Chefs table area in bar at front of house, though, is a bit of an odd setting. Felt slightly tacked on, sitting seeing everyone coming and going. Would opt for main room dining next time, I think, though it was genuinely nice to have all the lovely kitchen staff explain each course.

The Boat Inn, Lichfield: what do users think?

Paul Dancer: Superb food and Service...👍👍👍

Tim Jones: was great. Extremely knowledgeable, and clearly loved his job, doing everything with a smile. The normal service staff seemed extremely uninterested however, and their demeanour just wasn’t inline with the rest of the experience. Even the female in management attire was rushing and didn’t make us feel looked after. We were given the wrong course, and skipped one. If we hadn’t had the menu up on our phones we wouldn’t have known. This also was brought over without the wine pairing. This was then taken away and given to another table. We then waited a long time for the right course to arrive after telling them we had the wrong course, so ordered a cocktail while we waited. It’s a shame because I had expected them to take these drinks off the bill out of good faith because of their mistake, but they didn’t do so.This is why the review is 4 star and not 5.Total bill for two people was £420.00

paul moody: We visited The Boat for our friend’s 50th celebrations. She is originally from Litchfield and super proud of it becoming a culinary hot spot! We booked the “Chef’s table” for 8 and from start to finish the experience was wonderful. Having been to Michelin starred restaurants before this place is well on its way to earning its own. I’m terrible with names but our Sommelier was awesome talking us thru the wine pairings, and the different chefs talking us thru their dishes was a nice touch too. Hard to pick a favourite dish, as they were all bangers!

Jon Dalton: Stunning food, only let down by service. Having visited a few Michelin star restaurants previously, this place definitely meets the standard required in terms of food, however the service was a bit disappointing. We really enjoyed the food and thought it was good value for the standard offered, however we found that the staff weren’t particularly attentive and we really struggled to get their attention at times, particularly when we just wanted to receive and pay the bill. If they get that bit right in future I think they’d be in line for a star.

The Wilderness: what do users think?

Eleni Mavrogianni: Fantastic experience, excellent service, one of the best tasting manus I’ve tried!

Andrew Haveron: Not been for 5 years, but had an excellent meal last night. Only did the smaller menu, but thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Really excellent quality, flavours and little surprises. Some may not like the heavy music and darker atmosphere, but i loved it. Will definitely be back sooner this time. A great restaurant and superior to some of Birmingham’s supposedly more superior kitchens. Go!

John Holmes: Can't fault the Wilderness. Lovely staff, very welcoming. Slightly nervous from the description but thought they have just the right balance of atmosphere and background music. The wine list is better than can be expected from a relatively small restaurant with some great choices across a range of prices. Food from the tasting menu was some of the best I've sampled in a while with a few absolute stunners combing some exotic flavours superbly. Thanks to all at the restaurant for a great evening.

Opheem: what do users think?

Andrea Hickman: I didn't want it to end.An incredible tour de force of taste sensations which blended the unexpected with the traditional, the fragrantly sweet with the not too robust umami, the spices with the smooth and creamy textures or the flash of chargrilled greens. I had the matching wine menu which was well worth it as it elevated the whole thing to another level. To be fair the only other Michelin starred restaurant I've eaten at was Purnells which was very good but in the end not the same level as Opheem, which has surpassed all others. If you get a chance, go. You won't regret it. Oh and the service was near enough faultless.* edit: husband has reminded me that whilst the whole experience was fabulous, there was still a bone in his fish course and I was left waiting a while for my dessert wine

Melanie King: Wow, what an amazing experience. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable. We had the 10 course tasting menu and 4 “snacks” in the bar, which was all included. To say we were full to bursting at the end is an understatement. No wonder this restaurant has 2 Michelin stars. It’s a must try if you’re in Birmingham. Thank you Aktar Islam and all your amazing staff.

Daniel Ball: My favourite restaurant.Amazing food, amazing service.Would recommend to anyone.
