If you are into sports then you will be pleased to hear that Walsall has a multi-million pound Sports Centre, with excellent facilities, expert staff and highly equipped sports science laboratories.

The Performance Hub includes a 125 seat studio theatre and learning space for dancers, musicians, actors and anyone with an interest in the arts.

It’s also a great place to study, with two floors of mind books, computers and ultra modern pods for group work.


After you’ve worked up an appetite head to the food court, you can get anything you fancy from a healthy salad bar and Mediterranean cuisine to a homely jacket spud or Starbucks to go.


Walsall city centre offers a great selection of bars, clubs, pubs, shops and restaurants – plenty of places to break the ice during Freshers’ week.

The Walsall Student Village has 338 en-suite bedrooms so if you want your student experience with a few additional home comforts then this is the option for you.

You get your own room and bathroom with a shower, and share a kitchen/dining area with comfy seating and TVs, with up to 6 other students. It’s modern and friendly campus accommodation; with everything you need in walking distance, great for 9am lectures or meeting your mates at the Students Union.

Kitchens and living areas are shared with up to 6 people - there’s plenty of space so you’re not getting under each other’s feet.

Kitchens come with all of the essentials including an oven, hobs, microwave, kettle, fridge, freezer, TV, sofas, lots of preparation space and a nice big table – best put on a spread!

In your bedroom you can expect to find…a bed, a mattress, desk, chair, bookshelf, wardrobe, curtains/blinds and a bin.

Communal areas are cleaned regularly to give you a helping hand.

All bills included so your heating, internet, electric, gas, contents insurance and even parking is taken care of.

The college takes on distance learning students nationally in the United Kingdom and internationally therefore, you can study in the comfort of your home and also have an option of attending some of our face to face session either via tutor led sessions in comfortable location near your home.

The Open College is designed for people to have maximum and unlimited access to to Further Education and Higher Education of quality both accredited with exam boards and bespoke professional development programmes.

The College targets all wishing to further their education and those wishing to continually develop themselves through CPD workshops in any discipline that is listed on our course page, we also design bespoke courses to meet the learning needs of corporations and groups of individual. The ethos is that not at any time should any one be left out to have a chance for further education(FE) and higher education(HE) including professional development.

Our customer support staff are always happy to help. Receive advice and guidance on fees, as well as bursaries, free meals and free bus passes and enrolling for courses.


No student facilities are complete without a Student’s Union! Our SU includes a common room, clubs and societies, so you can chill out and be active within your community, while supporting the work of the NUS.


Students, staff and visitors can grab coffee to go from our on-site Starbucks and enjoy light bites or hearty meals in our canteen any time, any day.


In partnership with the Francesco Group, our commercial salon provides students with opportunities to practice styles and treatments, as well as capture their work on camera, all within a professional setting.


Students thrive as artists in our painting and drawing studios, ceramics workshops, print and Mac rooms. The studios also convert easily into exhibition spaces for the student shows that take place throughout the year.


Fashion students flourish in our two, fully-equipped fashion studios, complete with large pattern cutting tables and supported by a production room with lockstitch, overlocking machines and industrial steam irons.


Strike a pose – our campus features a fully-equipped photography studio, with portable backdrops and lighting, plus a traditional large black and white darkroom and contemporary digital studio.


Our kitchen areas for hospitality and catering students are on a par with some of the UK’s leading restaurants and dining outlets. Students also support the day-to-day running of the college’s Littleton Restaurant.


We have virtually every sports facility imaginable. Our superb sports facilities include dance and fitness studios, a sports training and injury clinic, sports hall with badminton courts, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.


Performing arts students hone their skills in studio spaces that are ideal for workshops and rehearsals. Our theatre space is used as the location for all of our annual shows and performances.


The Academy features bespoke IT equipment from Microsoft and includes a suite of Cisco computer stations and a dedicated network and server room to deliver a global education programme that helps students prepare for careers, such as network security and administration.
