I am also a psychosexual therapist working with sexual dysfunctions and in particular with compulsive sexual behaviour. Relationships breakdown for many reasons and counselling gives couples an opportunity to review their relationship and make adjustments. If damage has been done to a relationship (affairs etc) counselling can offer a safe place to process difficult emotions and move forward with a stronger relationship. When both parties in a relationship are prepared to change and develop, the relationship will improve. I offer awareness and understanding to enable the couple to make changes.

One thing that I have discovered from my experience working with couples is that intimacy and desire, unsurprisingly, play a big part in a sexually fulfilling relationship. And a relationship can be sexually fulfilling without penetrative sex too. It is all dependent on the couple their intimacy and desire for each other and what makes them feel the best.

When clients approach me for help with their sex lives they will often say that they are experiencing difficulty with erection or arousal. When we get talking in the initial sessions it’s often obvious that the couple concerned has ‘fallen out of friendship’, but were still expecting to be simmering away sexually. While it is true that hot sex after a heated argument can heal a rift, for many couples getting beyond a fall out is a challenge.

I have come up with a list of intimacy hacks that will help rekindle desire, increase sexual activity and enhance your couple communication.

Try not to let petty issues build up. There will be no chance of simmering passion while you are steaming with anger and resentment. Keep it adult and don’t resort to childish name-calling. Insult in haste and repent forever.

I have experience in working with all relationship and couples issues , sexual dysfunctions that affect individuals and couples. I specialise in understanding and treating sex addiction and out of control sexual behaviours and offer support for their partners and the couple in every stage of recovery.

I have worked as a Relationship Counsellor and Psychosexual Therapist for Relate and as a clinical associate of Paula Hall. I now have my own private practice based in Henley In Arden ( Warwickshire) within easy reach of Birmingham, Solihull, Warwick, Redditch and Stratford Upon Avon.

I am committed to providing counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.

If you are thinking about counselling, you may wish to arrange an initial consultation. During this time you will be able to meet me and to discuss your areas of concern and see if we can establish a therapeutic relationship,discuss if counselling would be helpful for you.This will also allow you to think about if you wish to attend on your own or with your partner. Appointments can be arranged at a convenient time to suit your work and lifestyle commitments. Your appointments can be a mixture of face to face or online. I offer afternoon and evening appointments at my practice in Henley In Arden . If you are not located within the West Midlands or Warwickshire area I do offer telephone and Skype counselling. I am available for both short and long term counselling.
