The Church of the Annunciation and St Gabriel’s Church are located south west of Walsall town centre, and has been serving its local community and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ for over 80 years. It is a church rooted in the catholic tradition of the Church of England. At its best, this rich tradition is handed on to future generations as a lively and growing faith. It should always be outward looking. Bishop Frank Weston said at the Anglo Catholic congress of 1923.

An informal and lively less formal service, with something for everyone

St Martin’s has a long, proud history of serving the community of Walsall. Through the dedication of our leadership, ministers and volunteers, we are committed to the teachings of Jesus Christ, and are here to serve our community and spread His love. We are open to worshippers of all ages and backgrounds, and strive to lead all who worship with us towards a deeper love for God.

We extend a special welcome to those who are single, married, divorced, widowed, straight, gay, questioning, well-heeled or down at heel. We especially welcome wailing babies and excited toddlers.

We welcome you whether you can sing like Pavarotti or just growl quietly to yourself. You’re welcome here if you’re ‘just browsing,’ just woken up or just got out of prison. We don’t care if you’re more Christian than the Archbishop of Canterbury, or haven’t been to church since Christmas ten years ago.

We extend a special welcome to those who are over 60 but not grown up yet, and to teenagers who are growing up too fast. We welcome keep-fit mums, football dads, starving artists, tree-huggers, latte-sippers, vegetarians, junk-food eaters. We welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted. We welcome you if you’re having problems, are down in the dumps or don’t like ‘organised religion.’ (We’re not that keen on it either!)
