Been using these guys for many years. Even though I now live in Wolverhampton, if I am in the area I will use them for any hardware needs.
Just came in to purchase a few cloths, sandpaper and the service was amazing! My only regret is that I had purchased paint from a major store but when I had seen the prices in this store, I was amazed at how cheap they were! But now I know, il know where to come for diy goods next time. PS great unbiased advice from the young man who works there! Thanks again!

Glen Mason: After visiting several large DIY stores to try and purchase 500mm mono bloc tails I was at my wits end. The mono bloc tails that came with my new tap were way to short to reach the copper pipes. I was given other flexible pieces that I could join on to my flexy tails but when I tried this at home either one end or the other didn't fit, so I ended up taking them back. Eventually I found AK Hardware and Plumbing centre which was not too far from my home. Having explained my situation the owner knew exactly what I needed and supplied me with the correct flexible pieces. He showed me what I needed to do and said if I needed too I could come back and try something else. Later that day I phoned him to thank him for his help and that finally I had managed to plumb my new tap in with no leaks. I can't speak highly enough about the owner and the help that was given to me. I would definitely recommend this shop as not only does it appear to have everything you could want but also free advice.
