Travelodge Walsall: what do users think?
b m: Family room big, needed a more thorough clean- chip in corner or room, carpet discoloured and hair on door. We had to ask for more towels and reception was unmanned when we got there but polite when they finally checked us in. Shower in bathtub was great. Directly opposite large Tesco, greggs etc. to the right of the hotel is an English Indian restaurant.Parking limited.
Brenden Aulton: Very friendly night staff that make you feel welcomeRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great value …More
Dave Heywood: For workRooms: Cleen and beds comfyNearby activities: Mcdonalds out side main door tesco accross the roadSafety: Felt safe enough for personal safety, but we did have one off our vans stolen and one broken in tooFood & drinks: Not too bad if you like fast food
Imino1Donmega: Rooms are good value for money. Parking will cost you but reasonable, I guess. My only gripe was the cost and the customer service at the contact center(rather lack of it) Appalling customer services. Advisers only following poor unreasonable policies, but delivery and empathy are poor. To be honest I probably will use it again as convenient and reasonably priced.Food & drinks: Near tesco and maccies and a few other restaurants and high street so great location

Holiday Inn Express Birmingham - Walsall, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
Aero Taxis: Cant comment on the hotel im sure its pretty good but if you're dropping off or picking up anyone from there beware of rogue operators Parking Eye. They are affiliated with this Hotel and feel it necessary to charge people who come and drop off their customers to them. Our vehicle was in for 3 minutes to pick up their customer (have full GPS proof) and we even appealed the fine but to no avail and no reason either.
Janice Cooke: The rooms were basic but clean with a TV and tea/ coffee.Food & drinks: You had a choice of an evening meal not much to the breakfast but the food what was there was good.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Nav Sangha: Stayed in room 035 for 5 nights, beds was excellent and room was clean, but 2 things let it down.1. No car charger’s available, not even a 3 pin for overnight slow charging2. Door card keeps loosing its settings, reception had to reprogram it 3 times, you can’t keep it near your mobile or in your wallet, so basically not fit for purpose, other hotels don’t have this issue.
Steve P: Stayed overnight on the 26th March, check in staff were very helpful and friendly.Pleasant room, very clean bathroom with Dove products and ample quality towels.Unfortunately, we had neighbours who decided to trample in their room / corridor, oblivious to the noise they were making in the early hours, and, as a result we had quite a disturbed sleep. We mentioned this in passing to a member of staff at the breakfast, (which was excellent), not really making anything of it, that resulted in the Manager, Emma, coming to speak to us. She was most apologetic and we thought it was very good that someone who is obviously very busy had taken the time to come and speak to us.At checkout we spoke with Jordan, again very pleasant and helpful like every other member of staff we met.Thanks.
B Horton: Everything okRooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Chris Callaghan: Given 1 star purely based on the absolutely shocking food served there. The photo says it all. This is Asian Chilli Beef.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Grzegorz Szalbierz: Nice and clean
Charles Woolley: Buisnss meeting. Coffee. It was OK
Iain Lawson: 2 mins from M6 Junction. Excellent free parking.Very comfortable room and warmly welcomed.Bonus was the restaurant (website suggests rhey don't have one) which, while the menu was limited, very tasty. Good breakfast.Wouldst here again
Trevor Munton-Willis: Superb rooms, staff really friendly, we were welcomed by Jordan who got us checked in quickly, would recommend this hotel.Rooms: Big and very comfortable
Paul Ambrose: Brilliant hotel . Lovely bacon .Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Chunky Chunky: A great venue, rooms were pristine. Not a sign of wear or tear and very very clean. During my visit I was in a room with twin single beds, plenty of space to move around. A desk and seats were available to operate your laptop if needed. TV with remote, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, electric kettle with tea and coffee.Large shower and toilet space. Plenty of space for your shaving and make up equipment.Additional shelves and hanging space for your clothes.Large dining area was good as you never felt you was sharing your meal with strangers. Breakfast was included in this visit. The food was well prepared for a standard Full English. Porridge packs, cereal, fruits, yogurt and everything you need for a continental breakfast was available.Various coffee option, tea flavours and fruit juices.During the day the lounge area is very large and spacious with lots of natural light available via the large windows. Multiple plug and UBS points make this a perfect and comfortable area if you are on a business trip.Meeting rooms are available if you are planning a conference or family gathering.Bar facilities are on site. Reception area is large and spacious, staffed 24 hours. All staff were pleasant and polite, well presented in their various uniforms and very helpful.Various snacks are available in the reception area including meal deals and ice creamParking is free on site, you just need to confirm your car registration. I didn't see any EV points on site, so this is worth checking if it's one of your requirements.Access to the entrance of the hotel is via steps or ramps making it easy for cases on wheels, pushchairs or mobility scooters.Within 3 mins walking distance is a KFC outlet, Asda petrol station and grocery store 10 mins walk or 3 mins drive.Give this review a thumbs up if you think this will be helpful for others.
Stephanie B: Love it love it. Everything was great.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Alexandra B-T: Nice clean room & friendly staff. Breakfast was hot and had variety of items to choose from. A great place to sleep and then go out and about elsewhere.Rooms: Nice and clean and fairly spacious. No frills but what you want if it's just a place to sleep.
Yasmin A: Incredibly rude staff. We arrived in the evening after a very long and difficult day. As soon as we entered we were met with cold and judgy staff. The first thing they said to us was (word for word) "We only take card payments." Not "Hello", not "Welcome to Holiday Inn", not "Hi, do you have a reservation?". Why make such an assumption? I had wanted to pay by card anyway. They then demanded photo ID for both of us even though we're both well over 18.They were the exact opposite of welcoming and we can't understand why. I have stayed at Holiday Inn before, no problems. I am an IHG member. I can't understand why they were like this. They didn't even bother telling us about the breakfast, we searched online and it said 11.00 but by the time we got there at 10.00 it was already over.I really wish we had stayed at the Village Hotel opposite. These staff members made an awful day a lot worse.
Bradley J: A much deserved change from premier in. Clean rooms and professional staff.
Leanne Casey: Stayed here whilst visiting colleagues with work.Great hotel. Given a warm welcome by Jordan on the check in desk. Room was spacious and clean, with TV, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and tea/coffee making facilities in the room. My room was at the rear of the Hotel, next to the M6 but I couldn't hear the outside traffic at all.Evening meal was provided in the bar area. Was looked after by Nathan, who was attentive and professional.Breakfast was a buffet style and delicious .Will definitely stay here again

Village Hotel Walsall: what do users think?
Nightmare Man: Got a taxi here only to find half their menu options weren't available. Bartenders attitude was horrible too. Orderered the same time as another customer. We were both told the coke zero was flat. Other customer was offered a can of diet coke free of charge for the issue. We were not. What a waste of money on taxi. Ended up going somewhere else to eat. Will never come back here for a meal again.Response to Manager:We attempted to order the Build your own Stack, but were informed that several items such as the spinach dip, fried ravioli, so on were unavailable. If there was not a limited menu, then there is clearly a flaw in communication and management as we were allowed to finish our drinks and walk out due to being told that several items we tried to order were not available. The bartender who informed us of this was a gentleman in a suit, with a beard and glasses. We ended up going to another pub nearby for our meal.
Sarah S: It's either a poor kitchen manager or poor management but who runs out of main menu food on a Monday. Absolutely shocking! I'm also sure the bartender profiled our group, group in front of us served with politeness and given free drinks due to issue with taps, when it came to serving us, his demeanor changed and was rude and arrogant to say the least. Then insult to injury the drinks were flat. Lesson learnt, won't be returning!
Debra Beckett: Awful experience! The first room I was put in on the 1st floor, was so loud due to the music in the bar, I asked to be moved. The 2nd room on the 3rd floor was better.Ordering room service was a complete farce! You have to do it via the app, which wasn't working properly. I made several attempts without success, then tried to contact a member via the chat, again with no success. In the end I had to go down to the bar to order room service! There are no phones in the rooms, so you are dependent on the technology working correctly to have a smooth stay. With each issue I had to go back down to reception, which was not the best use of my time for a business trip. There was a football match on that night, the bar was full of blokes and to be honest it was a little intimidating, not that I'm easily intimidated by such things but I would not have sat in the bar to eat. After having ordered my food, drink in hand, I went back to my room. When the food arrived it was delicious but by this time it was quite late. After eventually getting off to sleep I was woken up by a couple arguing loudly in the next room, this was at around 3am. After initially trying to ignore it, I'd had enough and about 45 mins later I had to call the hotel using my mobile (did I mention there were no phones in the room and the chat didn't work). After getting through the press this / press that I spoke to someone who told me they would ask them to keep it down. They did (ish) for approximately 2.5 hours when they started again. So I decided to get up.I went down for breakfast, not a great selection if you don't want a cooked breakfast. I ended up with a coffee, juice & a yoghurt which I left as the pot was cracked and it had leaked and left for the office.Never, ever again will I stay there!

Ali: Great location, just off the M6, with a large car park. It has a self service reception, but someone on hand to help out chat, as required. The staff were all very friendly. The hotel was clean and much what is expected for this type. For some reason if I opened the window it created a draft through the door which made it sound as though I had a ghost, funny for the first 5 minutes, then rather annoying. I consider this a building issue, rather than something the hotel can solve, and once I shut the window it stopped. There is a grill and Starbucks on the ground floor.I stayed for business so had a pre-booked breakfast. The usual help yourself got and cold buffet. The hot good looked fresh and tasted good. The only reason for knocking it downa start was the lack of any decaf coffee, apparently the hotel no longer supplies it. I appreciate i could have bought one from Starbucks, but I think it should be standard.

Shane Barton: Was told that they wasn’t taking food orders despite not being busy. Had to find somewhere else to eat
Asif Mohammed: Use the gym here and spa. Very good. Clean. Can be busy depending on the time randomly. The gym is very small but for a proper gym but fir for purpose for a hotel. Recommend for a morning swim and sauna steam etc. only downside is the amount of ageing men who decide to lurk or even walk around the changing room fully nude trying to relive thier youth. Other clubs i have visited on a similar standard par tend to have more classy members who value privacy and dont “flash” but i suppose the business cant control the clientele it has.
Paul Foster: Good stay with decent food just a little slow with service on occasions and not the friendliest staffRooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great value …More

Claire Steele: Oh my .. nor the best place to stay.the staff are lovely but the actual place is in an awful location. Like an industrial estate. We witnessed a drug drop happen right outside the restaurant . The pool table is broke , has been for a while, the hot drinks are over priced and not even a full cup. The drinks at the bar are way overpriced too. Plus the tills kept freezing. Food was OK, but just that. The room was on the ground floor and the window would not shut properly so the receptionist came out twice bless her. Very patient with us and a lovely lady. The bathroom light was just a mere flicker so maintenance were called out the next day. Plus I woke up after a rough night's sleep with tiny bites all over me. Pillows are cheap and flat. It's OK for one night but that's about it. I'd definitely not go back. Plus half the hotel were full of refugees... wasn't a nice experience 😕
John Ridding: Staff are surly and think the place is elite (which it isn't)My drink disappeared before I'd finished it.Won't be visiting again even for a quick drink after the match which is why I was in there.

Premier Inn Walsall Town Centre hotel: what do users think?
Jodie Ankrett: Good food
Ash Thawley: Stayed here for 4 nights, no issues! Room cleaning is on request, so just make sure to let reception know before 12pm each day if you'd like your room cleaned. Rooms are cleaned to a very high standard and are genuinely spotless. A couple qualms I have are that there's no conditioner in the rooms, so people with longer hair may wish to bring their ownBeds are spacious and comfy, exactly as you'd expect for premier inn. Our room came with 4 sockets, which was plenty for us but if you need to charge any more devices or are travelling as a slightly larger group, you may appreciate bringing an extension lead. Passports are required for non British/Irish/Commonwealth citizens, as is pretty standard around the UK. Overall, a 5 star experience.Rooms: Rooms are basic but contain anything you'd need, including a hairdryer, toiletries, beds, outlets, etc.Nearby activities: Walsall town centre is literally around the corner, the hotel is also situated next to an art museum and down the road from a cinema.Safety: Nothing out of the ordinary. Take precautions if walking at night, especially if you are a woman, alone, or travelling with young children, as I'd also advise anywhere else in the country. The hotel itself is locked at some time after 9pm, and from that point you'll need to buzz in with reception or scan your room key (although the card reader was broken when we were there) to access the building.Walkability: Very walkable. Round the corner from the train and bus stations, and anything you'd need including restaurants, supermarkets, etc are all within a couple minute walk. The town centre itself is entirely pedestrianised, and you'll find wide footpaths in most areas around the town. Buses run frequently all over the West Midlands, including up to Cannock designer outlet and Wolverhampton and Birmingham cities. Trains are also frequent, running every 15 minutes into the city. Two trains an hour continue directly to the airport, and two go around and run a stopping service to Wolverhampton through Dudley.Food & drinks: Walsall, like the rest of the West Midlands, has a diverse and vibrant restaurant scene. Anything you really could possibly want is walkable from the hotel, and if not, Uber Eats and such will deliver to the lobby of the hotel.

Premier Inn Walsall (M6, J10) hotel: what do users think?
Dan Godwin: Friendliest staff at this hotel, rooms are a little dated but offer a good nights stay. Extremely convenient when travelling up the M6. Ample parking spaces too that come at no extra cost.

Philip Stewart: Always a good stay at Bentley Green Premier Inn. So conveniently located to J10 M6, the hotel is comfortable with a good family restaurant attached for dinner and breakfast. Reception staff are very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them.Highly recommended and value for money.
Hannah Tatum: We stayed for one night and it was great. Plenty of car parking spaces and easy to get to off the M6.The staff were SO lovely and welcoming, chatty, and helpful! Especially the lady at reception, sorry I didn’t catch your name! (13.4.23, at about 4:30.) But she deserves recognition. Price was good too- £43 booked one month in advance at the standard rate. Our room was huge! Lots of space. It is an ‘older style’ room, no USB sockets by the bed and older furnishings, but this doesn’t affect the stay at all. It was a little bit noisy at night, you could hear people in the corridor, and doors opening and closing. Only thing I would say is that there was no shower gel / shampoo in the dispenser, but other than that, was a great stay.
rob pickering: First room kindly given to me on checking in had the most horrendous smell when I opened the door into the room. A combination of wet dog and cigar smoke. On asking the receptionist if I could change the room. They did ask why and when I replied regarding the smell she said that they shouldn’t have given that room out. 🤨The food in the beefeater next door is to be avoided. £16 for a burger and chips and a dollop of coleslaw. I should have gone to burger king. The people serving have lost the ability to smile and serve you with grunts and sneers and the drinks are all short served. Pints are well under the pint line.Ordered poached eggs on toast for my breakfast, The eggs came out 5 minutes later just sat on the plate. I asked where’s the toast and the waitress instructed me to make my own toast. I’d paid £10 for a cooked breakfast and had to make it myself. 🙄Will avoid this place in future.

David Murphy: Firstly, it's not a 4 - or 5-star hotel.the room is spotlessly clean, with fresh bedding and clean towels, there is a modern TV. The bed is modern and comfy, the furniture is old but clean,( probably worth a few quid at the antiques road show), everything else is tip top. The only fault is that the bedside lamps bulb has gone, not the end of the world, I'll stay here again if I'm in the area.
David Fadian: Stayed one night one kettle didn't notice any cups lol I think I would stay again

Enigma Beauty: Was catfished by a hotel. The images looked great, downstairs, stunning! The hotel rooms whilst the looked outdated, were clean looking. Turned up and the bar downstairs was as the images showed- beautiful. Then when we paid and got given the key, it all went horrendously downhill. Walked up grubby looking stairs into a hallway that is equally outdated and grubby. Arrived at our room and opened the door to be met by the worst hotel room I have ever stayed at. The room looked like something you’d see on a murder documentary. There were suspicious and off putting marks all over the walls and ceilings. The window had burn marks on the plastic. The beds were the most uncomfortable beds I have ever laid on, spring mattresses that should have been changed years ago, was hell on earth for my arthritis. The bedding was clean ish, but had holes in. Everything was so grubby and dusty. Will never stay there again and will advise other not to as well. NIGHT IN HELL!!!
Leslie Jones: Local hotel did not stop the night just there for a meeting so no food drink or bed so I have no idear of the rooms and foodRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Christine McCreery: Very mediocre indeedRooms: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Michelle Artemiou: Arrived after a 3hr journey, hotel looked nice downstairs unfortunately the room was a different matter! Firstly took ages to get the door key to actually unlock the door, awaiting us inside were patches of bare unpainted plaster, torn and peeling wallpaper, water stains, dirty and stained carpet, heating on full blast to point it was like an oven and couldnt turn it down as the knob on the radiator was missing, mould on windows and in bathroom, strong urine smell in bathroom, unclean floor with silverfish all over it, splashes of some liquid or bodily fluid all down one wall and inside of bathroom door which we couldn't identify, you could feel every spring in all the mattresses and this was meant to be a "Deluxe Family Room"! There was no way we could stay in that so after an unsuccessful drive around at 12.30am we ended up on a relatives sofas for the rest of the early hours on the day of the family funeral we had travelled to attend. The only good thing I can say is that when I went back later that day they gave me a refund straight away, no questions asked...literally no questions asked as to what the issues were with the room and no apology for the state of the room and knowingly letting it out to us or for the inconvenience it caused. My advice is avoid!
Beth Finn: PLEASE BEWARE!We had family come down from York for a funeral, they ended up coming to stay at our house at one in the morning (on the day of the funeral!) to sleep on the sofas. The family room they booked was filthy, there was mould that had been painted over in the bathroom, the room smelt strongly of urine, and to top it off there were silverfish crawling about in the beds and on the bathroom floor.Absolutely appalling. Went back the next day to complain, and got them a refund. Should have read the reviews before booking!

The Royal Hotel: what do users think?
anthony martin: We had a wedding in the Astor room the whole place was dirty floors,to ceilings, the toilets had broken doors hanging barely on the kitchen sinks leaked from plumbing underneath with whatever they could try to stick to it to try stopping it the tables are stained marked and damaged as we're chairs half them didn't match each other and you could tell even with seat covers on the hotel manager said we could bring our own drinks after he said he could get draught ciders and beers in as he can't get anything other than Worthington and Carling everything else was in store brought cans the bar staff charged different prices from £3:00-£4:50 for a can of strongbow cider then the bar manager said anyone drinking drinks they'd brought in would be asked to leave when I told her the hotel manager I'd paid told us two days before we could if we wanted too she told us he wasn't the licencee so I went and asked about it with her and he denied it Infront of her today we went back to clean up as he was ringing at 9am where are you why you not cleaning up even though he told us we had untill 11 PM the next day to do it as he understands that people need a lie in. after the wedding quests that stayed in rooms said there dated over priced and very cheap looking yet expensive to stay there but as they were convenient for them as travelling a long way to the wedding they'd use them but never again manager just sits there smiling at you going yea yea yea nooo nooo noo he was happy taking a fortune for a room that was a dump when we got there the carpets are stick as they had a Asian wedding the weekend before and coved in curry good stain I had to buy duct tape for the dance floor as large chunks of flooring missing and was worried about a high heel going down it and a leg getting broken I would never ever attend this venue again I'll be contacting environmental health about it as it needs shutting down.

Cat Mantra Private: Horrific management. The once stunning surroundings of the Royal Hotel have now become barely habitable. Infact unhygienic. Filthy bathrooms, mould on skirting boards.Even the bed sheets weren't in any way clean. Bad service, complaints ignored by belligerent staff. And the owner could not care less. Utter shambles. Utter disgrace. If you are visiting Walsall stay ANYWHERE but here.
DAN RAVEN OFFICIAL: Very disappointed, had a gig booked there months in advance, got rid of loads of printed tickets (out of pocket)and 300 angry punters who have made plans in advance for child minders and work..for the owner Norman to cancel on us a week before the gig is very cowardly. Hope his company goes downhill very fast!Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More

joanna kuczaik: The black woman receptionist is very rude and racist. She always picks on the people who live there and asks when they will leave. there are frequent thefts in this hotel and they don't even intervene and notify the police.
Alex hibberd: Me and a friend stopped in room 306 the bed had a spring poking out of it, bathroom door got stuck so if there was a fire we would of been done for and the blinds where broke and the tv didn’t work tried to see if we could get a room for another night and was told no and no for a full refund staff was horrible
Loz Mo: It was not great had a guy come into our room, claiming it was his, and refused to move. Sat on the floor stated he wasn't moving until the hotel sorted out his original room. He did leave after 20 mins of coaxing by the staff and myself. It's not ideal but the hotel has promised a full refund, so thanks for this if I get itRooms: Tired and dated but cleanSafety: See write up above
William Smith: Your hotel in Walsall is a disgrace, I popped in on the way home from work to check on the availability of several rooms for an upcoming birthday celebration, I was at reception 18 minutes and for my trouble I received a parking fine of £160 from a rogue Ocean Parking company. You’re employee JANE FOLEY confirmed my enquiry but claims she can do nothing about the fine as it’s down to the parking company who administer the car park. I wasn’t illegally parked at the rear of the hotel, I simply didn’t use the tablet to enter my registration number on the computer. The procedure was not pointed out to me by the receptionist and I did not see any signs. The car park was empty! No. Other cars were on the premises. How do your other customers get on, it sounds like a con to me and should be discontinued.William Smith
F. S.: THIS PLACE URGENTLY NEEDS TO BE TAKEN DOWN AND BURNT. Aside from lifts not working, the place is infected, unbelievably dirty, stinky, scared to touch anything bc of how bad it looked, hairs, blood and dirt everywhere…Dodgy things happen there…better sleep outside…I can’t believe this exists in U.K., we left to look for another hotel in 3 mins which seemed like an eternity in this place of a nightmare. No stars, i just had to select a score
Vinay Kanani: Basic hotel. Some of the hotel seems to be for homeless, asylum seekers or people on benefits so not ideal for a family but ok as a one night stopover. Joanna S: Beautiful hotel and spa. I have been to Fairlawns twice with my friends for our birthday celebrations and would highly recommend the Blissful Spa Experience and Afternoon Tea. The spa is amazing and it is so difficult to say which facilities I enjoyed the most but if I had to choose I would have to say the jacuzzi and salt room. My friend has been to Fairlawns three times now, she found the Couture Body Massage to be particularly relaxing and enjoyed the spa so much she decided to treat her mum and sister to a spa experience too. My other friend prefers a much ‘warmer’ climate hence enjoyed unwinding in the Sauna Suite. The Afternoon Tea was one of the best that we have been to, there was plenty of choice, the sandwiches and cakes were so fresh and delicious and the presentation was delightful. Thank you to all at Fairlawns for making our special occasions so memorable and unforgettable.
Stephanie Littlewood: Had a lovely meal and spa experience
lisa shilton: Rooms, spa, food all excellent we had a great weekend stay. Four of the lovely Fairlawns staff went above and beyond duty to help push and get my car started. Will definitely stay here again. Thank youRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …More

Kam Kaur: I'd been here for a spa my daughter had booked before covid. We enjoyed it. I decided to meet a friend for afternoon lunch. My lamb was very fatty, I would have preferred chicken but it wasn't on the menu. The brownie was tiny. I won't be coming back for Sunday lunch.Food & drinks: Good quality food but over priced for what you get. Would have liked roast chicken but very limited menu.
