Paul Stevenson: It was my first time at Winterbourne house it was nice to have an insight into how Winterbourne came about and the people who lived there and worked there and what they did we went on a sunday and as it happened it was raining all day there was a cafe on the ground floor which was not very big,but they had seating outside but there was no cover so the tables and chairs were wet. There was no were to sit while you were waiting to get into the cafe inside we had to keep popping our heads around the door to see if there was a table free.We took an 80 year old woman on a crutch and she had to stand with us which was not fair no one came out to let us know if there were vacant seats in the cafe which was a shame

Sue A: Had a lovely visit today, the sun was shining, birds singing we sat for ages on a lovely bench, the smells of the grass and flowers added to the beauty. Nice coffee in the cafe, staff and volunteers tending the gardens all friendly and polite, such a hidden gem in a ever changing city, so glad we found you, will definitely return, your event calendar looks very appealing. Plenty of parking, and several benches dotted about so you could sit rest and enjoy, bet it's as beautiful in the winter as it was today.

Lesley Jones: What a super arboretum. Not so big that you couldn't see it all. A little muddy under foot in places but lovely spring flowers and shrubs. A good area fir children with surprising number of fairy tree houses! Cafe has a very good menu and food was excellent. Right by a cracking rockery area.Staff friendly and helpful throughout the site

Darren Aston: Lovely place for a walk and let kids play and walk freely

Tabitha Morgan-Earp: Fabulous afternoon tea served by some very attentive and kind staff. Cannot recommend this place enough for a full gluten free afternoon tea, I had to check with the server to 100% check it was gluten free and it was. It was fantastic to feel normal!Lovely little walk around the gardens as well, can’t wait to come back in the sunshine, try reasonable to get in as £7 each to get in and around £20pp for the afternoon tea 👏

nige kaye: Went for the Santa, was not disappointed - exceeded all expectations

Dawn Calder-Murphy: One of our favourite “coffee and cake” stops after a walk around the village. Beautifully done up with a great outdoor seating area. The all-weather umbrellas make it suitable year-round, which great for us, as we find most indoor seating too noisy. Staff are always friendly and efficient. Great coffee and every food item we’ve tried has been a hit.

Melanie Pickering: A small Arboretum with a lovely view across the valley to the Severn Valley Railway. It was lovely and peaceful here - I think most people were in the café. It was an overcast morning and I will return when the weather is better. The fountains are stunning.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …

Pat E: Lovely walks mostly on good paths. Good little cafe for lunch after your walk. Friendly, helpful staff.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Andrew Cartwright: After a lot of rainfall, we felt like a wonder round some gardens... a quick look on the wife's gardeners world card and we ended up here with a 2 for 1 entry. Lovely place, albeit a little slippery in places! Kids loved running about the maze, and equally enjoyed playing on the slack lines. We ended our visit with some hot drinks and cake at the cafe.

Ciril M. Kuriakose: Multiple walking trails, the peaceful ambiance and stunning views made it a perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature. The designated dog walking areas were appreciated by pet owners, and ample parking made access easy. Additionally, the inclusion of a war memorial added a poignant touch, honoring those who have served. Overall, a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend to anyone in search of natural beauty and tranquility.

Sarah: 2024 April Plant Fair. It was very busy trying to park. But they had staff helping cars to park.Quite steep downhill from the parking to the plant fair. However, they do have disabled parking.I felt the range of stalls was better in previous years. However, it's still good. Prices have definitely gone up, but then so has the cost of living. The cafe was well manned.Really appreciate that they are dog friendly.Unfortunately, the arboretum was very muddy in most places. Personally more worth it in summer.During the pandemic.Beautiful woods, great plant fair in the summer months. Only snag, the cafe was swamped with people. And they weren't sticking to the social distancing guidelines at all. The cafe should have spaced the seating around.
