4worldlovers: Birmingham Botanical Gardens is the green heart of Birmingham, offering a uniquely biodiverse natural environment. It is one of the UK’s most significant historic Botanic Gardens which has remarkably remained intact since 1829.

The Gardens offers something for everyone. With over 7000 plants to explore in our 4 Victorian Glasshouses and exciting outdoor Gardens including two Alpine Gardens, the Japanese Garden showcasing the National Bonsai Collection, a Pinetum, the Adventure Playground, and a rolling lawn overlooking our authentic bandstand and Aviaries.

Make a day of it, with our traditional tearoom, seasonal garden walks and a variety of fun events throughout the year.

4worldlovers: The site is a rural retreat at the heart of Walsall town centre. First opened in 1874, it now spans 170 acres and includes Hatherton lake, the country park and the extension. The park includes gardens, green spaces, play areas, and sports facilities.

When you visit the Arboretum you will see a wide range of flora and wildlife. It has over 10,000 different species of trees and shrubs, which make a perfect backdrop for wedding photos. View permit prices for taking wedding photos at the Arboretum.

When it comes to sport and leisure, the Arboretum caters for all age groups. Many activities take place in the park, including walking, park runs, fishing and playing sports.

Fishing, visit the government website to get a licence. Please return any fish you catch to the water.

In response to huge public demand, the National Memorial Arboretum and National Forest Company present our ambitious plans to create a new living memorial that recognises service and sacrifice, and remembers every person who died as a result of the pandemic.

It will be a place for people to remember their loved ones, recognise the bravery and dedication shown by key workers and members of the NHS, and reflect on the impact that it has had on all of our lives.

The development of a further 25-acres of land to the north end of the existing Arboretum is part of a new ambitious vision for modern remembrance which has sustainability, accessibility, and inclusion at its core.
