Bell Walsall: what do users think?
John Hamilton: I enjoyed drinking at the bell but the music was too loud. when you start shouting to your friends it becomes painful.
Shane e: great food , good service
Wayne Smith: Food was good.....needed more staff me thinks
S β€œSK”: Alright but like slow service but food is alright
Paul Rowe: Food was excellent as was the beer. Only issue was that there was only 2 bar staff on, so it was quite a wait to be served
Ian Venables: Great food, nice ciders on tap
Sherrie Bell: Nice place and atmosphere
Steve Fell: Very busy but food was well cooked.
Keith Povall: Updated September 10th 2021.Went for lunch, first time since September last year. Such a pleasure being able to sit on the sofas and have a drink before eating which we couldn't do last year.I've always liked the food at the Bell, but today, I give a ten out of ten for everything. Service, bar staff (so friendly) and the food. I had haddock. Perfection is an understatement. Also the treacle sponge. Presentation and quality truly wonderful Lots of eating places could learn from these simple things that make a great meal and a repeat customer. I remember the strain everyone was under in the midst of the pandemic. It did mar eating out as an experience, but we were always made welcome. I speak as I find and I love eating at the Bell.May 21st. My latest visit was worth posting about. They change the menu on a regular basis and I met a pal there for an evening meal. I had the chicken and ham pie with cheddar mash. Pal had Hunters chicken. both meals beautifully presented and speaking for mine, truly excellent.Like last time, the service was excellent and this time I asked the name of our "serving wench" Esther or Esther the Pester as she described herself. A lovely friendly lady with a winning personality. I enjoy visiting the Bell, it's a nice pub with a good choice of well priced quality food.1==================Been today for a late birthday meal with my sister and her hub. I had the ribs which were lovely as were the chips. Star of the show, excellent chocolate ice cream. We all enjoyed our meals and the service was very friendly.A year or so later, I was there again with Sister and hub for another late birthday meal The menu has changed and this time I had the slow cooked beef rib and mash. Nicest meal I ever had here. Nothing wrong with the other times, but it was precisely as described in the menu and they even substituted peas for broccoli. Top marks all round.Update: Sept 29th. I have to add to this review of the Bell, to say how much I appreciate all the hard work the team do to keep people safe in this ridiculous state of affairs known as the pandemic. The measures forced upon us certainly mars a normal dining experience. Businesses are struggling as it is, but we see them having to deploy extra staff for table service, instruct customers in the use of the app to order table service. Let's hope these measures have an effect soon. Personally, I thing the Christmas period is a dead duck. Food and service were first class as usual last night, so a big shout out to everyone working so hard at the Bell.Apr 24-2023 menu has been altered. I had the plant based tika skewers and these were superb. That's coming from a meat eater. Food and service still great.
Harsha Patel: Really pleasant, like always. Disappointed treacle sponge is off the menu.
Diane Harnett: First time here wasn't impressed. Very long wait time on food. Very long wait time to get served at the bar but only seen 3 members of staff serving the bar and serving food which is ridiculous . I ordered the beef Sunday dinner Β£10.99 I don't eat veg or parsnip so asked for that to be taken off obviously my choice but they put it on a smaller plate so it didn't look so swanky because all igot was two slices of beef one yorkshire and six little roasters I wasn't even given an extra yorkshire real value for money for Β£10.99 the child's meal I ordered for my little 3yr old grandaughter was bigger. I would say what we did have tasted nice but the wait time was far too long. Will we eat here again probably not.
Caroline Hamilton: Excellent service and excellent staff overall excellent experience food was excellent x
Mark Mandale: Stopped off on the way to the football. Staff friendly, food excellent. Nice clean pub. What more can you ask for?
T D: Affordable menuLovely atmosphere
Karen Smith: Lovely food, good service, friendly staff
Daniel Farmer: Service was great and Daniel was really friendly and helpful
Aj gohil: Nice palace to visit. The food also nice.
Emily Ainsworth: Tuesday evening meal really disappointed. Was quite busy, we waited over ten min for drinks which I ordered on the app to be served the wrong drink. Waited over an hour for a dry chicken burger and a hunters chicken, we had to return the hunters chicken because it was pretty burnt and inedible and we’d paid extra for sweet potato fries but received normal chips. They did change the meal for a fresh one but after waiting almost hour and half it didn’t feel worth it,They seemed really short staffed and only one woman seemed to be waitressing and cleaning
Ady S: Good food nice family pub. Staff are polite, good service.
Christopher Perry: It's allways been nice every time weave been brilliant staff brilliant service
luke huizinga: Good Ember Inn
