Lisa Barnes: Our 11 year old has had several lessons with Steve, and each lesson has been relaxed, informative, and enjoyable. She is an absolute beginner, but the exercises that he gives for between classes are at the right level, so our daughter hasn't felt overwhelmed at any point. Would happily recommend Steve to friends and family.

She's autistic but he made her feel at ease unfortunately she decided to try and take it up during her GCSE mocks so got a bit overwhelmed and is hoping to go back in the future. Fernando Ramirez: I’ve had two lessons so far and Des is amazing. Very insightful, friendly, accommodating… and he knows guitar inside/out. He’s helping me with a solo and he points out things I never even heard but that he is aware of due to his “near Yoda-like audio powers” and abilities. Highly recommend his lessons via skype.
Peter Bath: After years of not picking my guitar up, I started lessons with Des and now I can't put it down! Not only a great player, Des is a fantastic teacher. Lessons are fun and he has exactly the right balance of being both challenging and patient at the same time. Unquestionably he has enormous experience and ability as well as fantastic knowledge of guitar theory but most importantly he listens to what you want to achieve and only introduces his expertise to support your goals, whatever style or era of music you enjoy. Play a new track to Des and he can pick it up straight away and within an hour lesson coach me so many improvements which I would never achieve by trying to teach myself. Des' ability to watch, listen and immediately identify techniques to improve is amazing and he has a way of explaining things that really helps to accelerate learning. Whatever your age or level of experience, I would definitely recommend.
