4worldlovers: Archery is a sport that can be enjoyed by participants of all ages and mental/physical ability and is as recreational or competitive as the participant wishes.

We promote all styles of Target archery with some members also participating in Field and Clout archery.

The club organises monthly competitions (“Round of the Month”) for its members with some also taking part in Open Competitions, Inter-Club, County and National events.

The club is open to archers shooting recurve, compound, barebow, longbow and other traditional bows.

Our sessions take place indoors when it’s wet or cold, so you can look forward to comfortable modern surroundings, refreshments and full use of club equipment. During better weather, you’ll be pleased to know we also have use of an outdoor sports field.

Wolf Archers welcomes members of other clubs or individuals who hold Archery GB membership. Just bring your Archery GB membership information along with you to attend one of our sessions.

Following the school’s change of trusts we can no longer shoot at the Smetstow Academy – we are therefore closed while we are searching for a new venue, please feel free to contact us if you think you can help.

The purpose of the club is to promote archery and make it more accessible in the Wolverhampton and Dudley area.

We are a friendly club and run regular “Introduction to Archery” classes as well as beginners courses for those wishing to take up archery as a sport. All activities are led by qualified & DBS-checked coaches.

Welcome to Meriden Archery Club, a friendly and enthusiastic group of archers. The Club is affiliated to Archery GB and shooting takes place under their rules. Archers shooting Recurve, Compound, Barebow or Longbow are all welcome at the Club.


Nestling amongst trees within the Packington Estate are the Forest Grounds, the shooting grounds of Meriden Archery Club. The Club is almost as close as it can be to the centre of England and is lucky to have its own shooting grounds, and for Club Members is open every day of the year and available at anytime of the day.


The main shooting field is set out for a range of distances to suit all shooting abilities, and our Indoor Range is laid out with 5 bosses at 18m. The Paddock, with a large covered shooting area, is used by members for bow tuning and practice and it has permanent targets at distances up to 50 metres, a sheltered area for shooting from and floodlighting. We also have a Field Course in the western corner of our grounds


We host Open Tournaments and organise Club Shoots, Beginners’ Courses and Have-A-Go sessions.

Meriden Archery Club is a member of onTarget, Archery GB’s Club Development Programme. Clubs joining onTarget are making a public pledge to be open and friendly, to advance archery and to proactively work with Archery GB.
