Premier Inn Walsall Town Centre hotel: what do users think?
Jodie Ankrett: Good food
Ash Thawley: Stayed here for 4 nights, no issues! Room cleaning is on request, so just make sure to let reception know before 12pm each day if you'd like your room cleaned. Rooms are cleaned to a very high standard and are genuinely spotless. A couple qualms I have are that there's no conditioner in the rooms, so people with longer hair may wish to bring their ownBeds are spacious and comfy, exactly as you'd expect for premier inn. Our room came with 4 sockets, which was plenty for us but if you need to charge any more devices or are travelling as a slightly larger group, you may appreciate bringing an extension lead. Passports are required for non British/Irish/Commonwealth citizens, as is pretty standard around the UK. Overall, a 5 star experience.Rooms: Rooms are basic but contain anything you'd need, including a hairdryer, toiletries, beds, outlets, etc.Nearby activities: Walsall town centre is literally around the corner, the hotel is also situated next to an art museum and down the road from a cinema.Safety: Nothing out of the ordinary. Take precautions if walking at night, especially if you are a woman, alone, or travelling with young children, as I'd also advise anywhere else in the country. The hotel itself is locked at some time after 9pm, and from that point you'll need to buzz in with reception or scan your room key (although the card reader was broken when we were there) to access the building.Walkability: Very walkable. Round the corner from the train and bus stations, and anything you'd need including restaurants, supermarkets, etc are all within a couple minute walk. The town centre itself is entirely pedestrianised, and you'll find wide footpaths in most areas around the town. Buses run frequently all over the West Midlands, including up to Cannock designer outlet and Wolverhampton and Birmingham cities. Trains are also frequent, running every 15 minutes into the city. Two trains an hour continue directly to the airport, and two go around and run a stopping service to Wolverhampton through Dudley.Food & drinks: Walsall, like the rest of the West Midlands, has a diverse and vibrant restaurant scene. Anything you really could possibly want is walkable from the hotel, and if not, Uber Eats and such will deliver to the lobby of the hotel.

Olu O: My sister and her family came to visit me in Walsall but had some issues checking in.We later realised that the booking was made for the previous day, which was no fault if the hotel.Harriet at reception was absolutely outstanding, her customer service skills were tremendous, she went above and beyond to ensure my sisters booking was reinstated with no charge, she handled it the whole situation very well.Harriet is great asset to your company and I hope she continues to make to do well.

Premier Inn Walsall (M6, J10) hotel: what do users think?
Dan Godwin: Friendliest staff at this hotel, rooms are a little dated but offer a good nights stay. Extremely convenient when travelling up the M6. Ample parking spaces too that come at no extra cost.

Philip Stewart: Always a good stay at Bentley Green Premier Inn. So conveniently located to J10 M6, the hotel is comfortable with a good family restaurant attached for dinner and breakfast. Reception staff are very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them.Highly recommended and value for money.
Hannah Tatum: We stayed for one night and it was great. Plenty of car parking spaces and easy to get to off the M6.The staff were SO lovely and welcoming, chatty, and helpful! Especially the lady at reception, sorry I didn’t catch your name! (13.4.23, at about 4:30.) But she deserves recognition. Price was good too- £43 booked one month in advance at the standard rate. Our room was huge! Lots of space. It is an ‘older style’ room, no USB sockets by the bed and older furnishings, but this doesn’t affect the stay at all. It was a little bit noisy at night, you could hear people in the corridor, and doors opening and closing. Only thing I would say is that there was no shower gel / shampoo in the dispenser, but other than that, was a great stay.
rob pickering: First room kindly given to me on checking in had the most horrendous smell when I opened the door into the room. A combination of wet dog and cigar smoke. On asking the receptionist if I could change the room. They did ask why and when I replied regarding the smell she said that they shouldn’t have given that room out. 🤨The food in the beefeater next door is to be avoided. £16 for a burger and chips and a dollop of coleslaw. I should have gone to burger king. The people serving have lost the ability to smile and serve you with grunts and sneers and the drinks are all short served. Pints are well under the pint line.Ordered poached eggs on toast for my breakfast, The eggs came out 5 minutes later just sat on the plate. I asked where’s the toast and the waitress instructed me to make my own toast. I’d paid £10 for a cooked breakfast and had to make it myself. 🙄Will avoid this place in future.
Alex Johnston: Easy convenient location - good parking and friendly staff. Best thing was how friendly all the cleaning staff were when we left on Sunday morning. Small thing made a big difference to the experience.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Natasha Partington: Friendly staff, good sized rooms with a bath and openable window. Heating controls and tea/coffee desk was nice. Staff help to book in next door for evening or morning meals
Ben Beresford: OK- did not seem as clean as most Premier Inns tbhRooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Andy Astley: Rooms as you expect for a premier Inn nice. Beefeater I can't understand why people eat there price well expensive and food very poor . You could spend 3 qid at Gregg's and get more .Rooms: Rooms clean tidy . Like all the premier Inn rooms are
David McLaren: Functional, cleanRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 3/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
Jon Pike: Short measures at the bar, they are not using line glasses, serving cider and beer with a big head, once settled it is well short. Not much better after it being mentioned. Some poor items on the menu, steak and ale pie is like a cheap aldi pie.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Samuel Aldrich: Was a lovely premier inn! You get everything you'd need for that price.... no noise and check in was easyRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Salvatore Pisapia: Ottimo perché in posizione tranquilla, accanto ristorante con ottime pietanze. Ottimo il servizio splendide le addette alla reception.

Holiday Inn Express Birmingham - Walsall, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
Aero Taxis: Cant comment on the hotel im sure its pretty good but if you're dropping off or picking up anyone from there beware of rogue operators Parking Eye. They are affiliated with this Hotel and feel it necessary to charge people who come and drop off their customers to them. Our vehicle was in for 3 minutes to pick up their customer (have full GPS proof) and we even appealed the fine but to no avail and no reason either.
Janice Cooke: The rooms were basic but clean with a TV and tea/ coffee.Food & drinks: You had a choice of an evening meal not much to the breakfast but the food what was there was good.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Nav Sangha: Stayed in room 035 for 5 nights, beds was excellent and room was clean, but 2 things let it down.1. No car charger’s available, not even a 3 pin for overnight slow charging2. Door card keeps loosing its settings, reception had to reprogram it 3 times, you can’t keep it near your mobile or in your wallet, so basically not fit for purpose, other hotels don’t have this issue.
Steve P: Stayed overnight on the 26th March, check in staff were very helpful and friendly.Pleasant room, very clean bathroom with Dove products and ample quality towels.Unfortunately, we had neighbours who decided to trample in their room / corridor, oblivious to the noise they were making in the early hours, and, as a result we had quite a disturbed sleep. We mentioned this in passing to a member of staff at the breakfast, (which was excellent), not really making anything of it, that resulted in the Manager, Emma, coming to speak to us. She was most apologetic and we thought it was very good that someone who is obviously very busy had taken the time to come and speak to us.At checkout we spoke with Jordan, again very pleasant and helpful like every other member of staff we met.Thanks.
B Horton: Everything okRooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Chris Callaghan: Given 1 star purely based on the absolutely shocking food served there. The photo says it all. This is Asian Chilli Beef.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Grzegorz Szalbierz: Nice and clean
Charles Woolley: Buisnss meeting. Coffee. It was OK
Iain Lawson: 2 mins from M6 Junction. Excellent free parking.Very comfortable room and warmly welcomed.Bonus was the restaurant (website suggests rhey don't have one) which, while the menu was limited, very tasty. Good breakfast.Wouldst here again
Trevor Munton-Willis: Superb rooms, staff really friendly, we were welcomed by Jordan who got us checked in quickly, would recommend this hotel.Rooms: Big and very comfortable
Paul Ambrose: Brilliant hotel . Lovely bacon .Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Chunky Chunky: A great venue, rooms were pristine. Not a sign of wear or tear and very very clean. During my visit I was in a room with twin single beds, plenty of space to move around. A desk and seats were available to operate your laptop if needed. TV with remote, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, electric kettle with tea and coffee.Large shower and toilet space. Plenty of space for your shaving and make up equipment.Additional shelves and hanging space for your clothes.Large dining area was good as you never felt you was sharing your meal with strangers. Breakfast was included in this visit. The food was well prepared for a standard Full English. Porridge packs, cereal, fruits, yogurt and everything you need for a continental breakfast was available.Various coffee option, tea flavours and fruit juices.During the day the lounge area is very large and spacious with lots of natural light available via the large windows. Multiple plug and UBS points make this a perfect and comfortable area if you are on a business trip.Meeting rooms are available if you are planning a conference or family gathering.Bar facilities are on site. Reception area is large and spacious, staffed 24 hours. All staff were pleasant and polite, well presented in their various uniforms and very helpful.Various snacks are available in the reception area including meal deals and ice creamParking is free on site, you just need to confirm your car registration. I didn't see any EV points on site, so this is worth checking if it's one of your requirements.Access to the entrance of the hotel is via steps or ramps making it easy for cases on wheels, pushchairs or mobility scooters.Within 3 mins walking distance is a KFC outlet, Asda petrol station and grocery store 10 mins walk or 3 mins drive.Give this review a thumbs up if you think this will be helpful for others.
Stephanie B: Love it love it. Everything was great.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Alexandra B-T: Nice clean room & friendly staff. Breakfast was hot and had variety of items to choose from. A great place to sleep and then go out and about elsewhere.Rooms: Nice and clean and fairly spacious. No frills but what you want if it's just a place to sleep.
Yasmin A: Incredibly rude staff. We arrived in the evening after a very long and difficult day. As soon as we entered we were met with cold and judgy staff. The first thing they said to us was (word for word) "We only take card payments." Not "Hello", not "Welcome to Holiday Inn", not "Hi, do you have a reservation?". Why make such an assumption? I had wanted to pay by card anyway. They then demanded photo ID for both of us even though we're both well over 18.They were the exact opposite of welcoming and we can't understand why. I have stayed at Holiday Inn before, no problems. I am an IHG member. I can't understand why they were like this. They didn't even bother telling us about the breakfast, we searched online and it said 11.00 but by the time we got there at 10.00 it was already over.I really wish we had stayed at the Village Hotel opposite. These staff members made an awful day a lot worse.
Bradley J: A much deserved change from premier in. Clean rooms and professional staff.
Leanne Casey: Stayed here whilst visiting colleagues with work.Great hotel. Given a warm welcome by Jordan on the check in desk. Room was spacious and clean, with TV, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and tea/coffee making facilities in the room. My room was at the rear of the Hotel, next to the M6 but I couldn't hear the outside traffic at all.Evening meal was provided in the bar area. Was looked after by Nathan, who was attentive and professional.Breakfast was a buffet style and delicious .Will definitely stay here again

Village Hotel Walsall: what do users think?
Nightmare Man: Got a taxi here only to find half their menu options weren't available. Bartenders attitude was horrible too. Orderered the same time as another customer. We were both told the coke zero was flat. Other customer was offered a can of diet coke free of charge for the issue. We were not. What a waste of money on taxi. Ended up going somewhere else to eat. Will never come back here for a meal again.Response to Manager:We attempted to order the Build your own Stack, but were informed that several items such as the spinach dip, fried ravioli, so on were unavailable. If there was not a limited menu, then there is clearly a flaw in communication and management as we were allowed to finish our drinks and walk out due to being told that several items we tried to order were not available. The bartender who informed us of this was a gentleman in a suit, with a beard and glasses. We ended up going to another pub nearby for our meal.
Sarah S: It's either a poor kitchen manager or poor management but who runs out of main menu food on a Monday. Absolutely shocking! I'm also sure the bartender profiled our group, group in front of us served with politeness and given free drinks due to issue with taps, when it came to serving us, his demeanor changed and was rude and arrogant to say the least. Then insult to injury the drinks were flat. Lesson learnt, won't be returning!
Debra Beckett: Awful experience! The first room I was put in on the 1st floor, was so loud due to the music in the bar, I asked to be moved. The 2nd room on the 3rd floor was better.Ordering room service was a complete farce! You have to do it via the app, which wasn't working properly. I made several attempts without success, then tried to contact a member via the chat, again with no success. In the end I had to go down to the bar to order room service! There are no phones in the rooms, so you are dependent on the technology working correctly to have a smooth stay. With each issue I had to go back down to reception, which was not the best use of my time for a business trip. There was a football match on that night, the bar was full of blokes and to be honest it was a little intimidating, not that I'm easily intimidated by such things but I would not have sat in the bar to eat. After having ordered my food, drink in hand, I went back to my room. When the food arrived it was delicious but by this time it was quite late. After eventually getting off to sleep I was woken up by a couple arguing loudly in the next room, this was at around 3am. After initially trying to ignore it, I'd had enough and about 45 mins later I had to call the hotel using my mobile (did I mention there were no phones in the room and the chat didn't work). After getting through the press this / press that I spoke to someone who told me they would ask them to keep it down. They did (ish) for approximately 2.5 hours when they started again. So I decided to get up.I went down for breakfast, not a great selection if you don't want a cooked breakfast. I ended up with a coffee, juice & a yoghurt which I left as the pot was cracked and it had leaked and left for the office.Never, ever again will I stay there!

Ali: Great location, just off the M6, with a large car park. It has a self service reception, but someone on hand to help out chat, as required. The staff were all very friendly. The hotel was clean and much what is expected for this type. For some reason if I opened the window it created a draft through the door which made it sound as though I had a ghost, funny for the first 5 minutes, then rather annoying. I consider this a building issue, rather than something the hotel can solve, and once I shut the window it stopped. There is a grill and Starbucks on the ground floor.I stayed for business so had a pre-booked breakfast. The usual help yourself got and cold buffet. The hot good looked fresh and tasted good. The only reason for knocking it downa start was the lack of any decaf coffee, apparently the hotel no longer supplies it. I appreciate i could have bought one from Starbucks, but I think it should be standard.
Ash: Rooms were incorrectly booked leading to 5 people not having a place to sleep for the night. After arriving at 10pm and no other place to stay nearby.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More

Shane Barton: Was told that they wasn’t taking food orders despite not being busy. Had to find somewhere else to eat
Asif Mohammed: Use the gym here and spa. Very good. Clean. Can be busy depending on the time randomly. The gym is very small but for a proper gym but fir for purpose for a hotel. Recommend for a morning swim and sauna steam etc. only downside is the amount of ageing men who decide to lurk or even walk around the changing room fully nude trying to relive thier youth. Other clubs i have visited on a similar standard par tend to have more classy members who value privacy and dont “flash” but i suppose the business cant control the clientele it has.
Paul Foster: Good stay with decent food just a little slow with service on occasions and not the friendliest staffRooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great value …More

Alan Darlington: Was ok
David Murphy: Firstly, it's not a 4 - or 5-star hotel.the room is spotlessly clean, with fresh bedding and clean towels, there is a modern TV. The bed is modern and comfy, the furniture is old but clean,( probably worth a few quid at the antiques road show), everything else is tip top. The only fault is that the bedside lamps bulb has gone, not the end of the world, I'll stay here again if I'm in the area.
David Fadian: Stayed one night one kettle didn't notice any cups lol I think I would stay again
Mary Giblin: Came for the 'wake' following a friend's funeral. Very good buffet in a lovely room. Friendly helpful staff.
Enigma Beauty: Was catfished by a hotel. The images looked great, downstairs, stunning! The hotel rooms whilst the looked outdated, were clean looking. Turned up and the bar downstairs was as the images showed- beautiful. Then when we paid and got given the key, it all went horrendously downhill. Walked up grubby looking stairs into a hallway that is equally outdated and grubby. Arrived at our room and opened the door to be met by the worst hotel room I have ever stayed at. The room looked like something you’d see on a murder documentary. There were suspicious and off putting marks all over the walls and ceilings. The window had burn marks on the plastic. The beds were the most uncomfortable beds I have ever laid on, spring mattresses that should have been changed years ago, was hell on earth for my arthritis. The bedding was clean ish, but had holes in. Everything was so grubby and dusty. Will never stay there again and will advise other not to as well. NIGHT IN HELL!!!

Christine McCreery: Very mediocre indeedRooms: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Michelle Artemiou: Arrived after a 3hr journey, hotel looked nice downstairs unfortunately the room was a different matter! Firstly took ages to get the door key to actually unlock the door, awaiting us inside were patches of bare unpainted plaster, torn and peeling wallpaper, water stains, dirty and stained carpet, heating on full blast to point it was like an oven and couldnt turn it down as the knob on the radiator was missing, mould on windows and in bathroom, strong urine smell in bathroom, unclean floor with silverfish all over it, splashes of some liquid or bodily fluid all down one wall and inside of bathroom door which we couldn't identify, you could feel every spring in all the mattresses and this was meant to be a "Deluxe Family Room"! There was no way we could stay in that so after an unsuccessful drive around at 12.30am we ended up on a relatives sofas for the rest of the early hours on the day of the family funeral we had travelled to attend. The only good thing I can say is that when I went back later that day they gave me a refund straight away, no questions asked...literally no questions asked as to what the issues were with the room and no apology for the state of the room and knowingly letting it out to us or for the inconvenience it caused. My advice is avoid!
Beth Finn: PLEASE BEWARE!We had family come down from York for a funeral, they ended up coming to stay at our house at one in the morning (on the day of the funeral!) to sleep on the sofas. The family room they booked was filthy, there was mould that had been painted over in the bathroom, the room smelt strongly of urine, and to top it off there were silverfish crawling about in the beds and on the bathroom floor.Absolutely appalling. Went back the next day to complain, and got them a refund. Should have read the reviews before booking!

Rafał Ś.: Comfortable bed and good breakfast.
Grzegorz: Poor rooms, stayed there in 2 different rooms, one of the rooms was on corridor where some renovation work has been done - it was loud and stunk of paint most of the day (starting 7.30AM!!)Second time - "premium room" - with terrible bed which gave me back pain - 2 joined mattresses on one bed?! What is that? Also mini fridge not working, old TV with bad pic quality
Bogdan Boner: My recent stay at this hotel was a complete disappointment. Despite paying a premium for a room, I was given a small, cramped space that felt anything but luxurious. To make matters worse, the mini fridge in the room was not working, making it impossible to keep any of my food or drinks cold. However, the most concerning issue was the safety of the hotel's car park. During my stay, a car was broken into, which only added to the already overwhelming feeling of insecurity. While the hotel staff expressed some sympathy, I got the impression that they weren't taking the issue seriously and were unwilling to take any concrete action to improve the situation.I was deeply disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel. Despite paying a premium for a room, I found the accommodations to be cramped and uncomfortable, and the issues with the mini fridge and car park security only added to my dissatisfaction.
vanessa Harvey: My friends and I had a really lovely time there was only one thing wrong there was a very rude and arrogant customer who was served free drinks all night as he was going to report the manager, I felt so so sorry for the manager the man was that rude and loud he ruined everybody's evening. And the hotel lost a lot of money last night.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …More
Helsteeds: Staff great and welcoming, My room was clean and well presented, I booked a Standard room the pictures showed a double bed but I got given a Twin room (even though Twin rooms were advertised separately) not happy about that as single beds are a bit too small for me.Noise wise there were some from guests in corridors outside room (someone whistling at 22:30 😏) but the room itself was quiet from banging and other hotel operation sounds.Food wise it was the first Holiday Inn that I've seen with Vegetarian Sausages cooked and out with the buffet, sadly they were Linda McCartney ones which aren't very palatable - but well done for them catering for veggies.Coffee machine one was out of order the other had full filter, so there was trouble getting the first brew.Hash browns cooked to perfection! Crispy not cardboard for a change. Only complaint with food is that it was cold, they need to turn the hot plates up.Other than that all good.
Tracey Jayne mumford: I was organising a Celebration of Life for my Father. I had emailed the hotel about this and had corresponded with someone for a few weeks. We asked to go and see the room we would be using and were told that was fine. When we got there the receptionist told us " she doesn't work here, I don't know that name ". When I queried it I was told she worked at the 'hub'.I sent an email about the arrangements and had no reply so I phoned, to be told the lady I had been dealing with was on holiday ( no wonder I hadn't had a reply ...)I had said we didn't want any spicy or Indian food...the event was for an 84 year old and most attending were of a similar age. It was agreed one of our chosen items could be plain chicken drumsticks not curried onesWe gave in the contract and sent over payment....in full ...£1400 ....and gave our buffet food order. This was done by mid morning on the Tuesday on the date given to us and a week before the event.I had an email and phone call after 5 o'clock on the Friday to say one of our items ....mini cottage pie ...was out of stock. Chef was sending over other options but it would be Monday before we would be sent this info .. this was the day before the actual event. The options came back as vegetable samosa or onion bargee. I phoned straight away and said these were not acceptable. The person I spoke to said there was a memo saying no spicy food. We wanted something hot and meat based and we're offered a battered onion !!! They kept repeating " that's all we can offer ".I asked for the pigs in blankets... Was told that was okay ...The next phone call said they weren't available but we were offered chicken skewers, Indian food ( again !) And several pudding options .I pointed out that when we had ordered cottage pie to be offered a battered onion or carrot cake was not acceptable !!!It was only when I mentioned I wanted compensation that I had a message two hours before the event was taking place, saying they could now provide pigs in blankets and they would be a free extra .On the day of the event there was plenty of food ...but.....the pizza was paper thin and difficult to cut, the sausage rolls looked uncooked and very unappealing, the bread on the sandwiches was dry ( everything had been left uncovered for a good while ). There seemed to be mostly cheese sandwich and some of the other fillings we couldn't identify. We wanted to bring some of the food home with us ...chicken drumsticks and skewers and the muffins ..we asked for foil to wrap things in and it seemed that this request really put the staff out . They begrudgingly gave us two small pieces of foil and watched us closely to see what we were taking .We would never use this venue again nor would we recommend it to anyone else .I feel there is very little customer service and the catering left a lot to be desired. For £1400 I expected a lot better !!!
Caroline Hamilton: Excellent service and excellent staff overall excellent experience and food was amazing had a great night sleep and I would definitely stop here again excellent serviceRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Ernie Harriott: Went to a function, never stayed.
Mike: Hotel ran down, rooms filthy, red stains all over carpet, staff arrogant with bad attitudes, food slop and 1 chef to serve it so que for a while. Fire alarm was also faulty so started going off at 2:30am and staff on duty was a trainee on his own so didn't know how to silence alarm and couldn't get through to the 2 managers after calling and leaving them messages. so alarm was eventually fixed at 5:40am.Further to your response I can confirm there was only 1 member of staff on duty and that was a trainee he tried contacting the 2 managers when fire alarm went off and no one answered. He also didn't silence the alarm it was going off for 2 hours solid. Also the fire brigade was called by a member of our tour from Ireland and she called them at 4am that was after the alarm had been going off for 2 hours. There was no apology the day after from staff and also our trip was ruined by this hotel due to lack of sleep.Rooms: I've seen better rooms in hostles.Food & drinks: Wouldn't feed to my dogs, also got bad stomach the next day after eating some of it.Noteworthy details: Wouldn't let my dogs stay here let alone humans
Stefano Pozzi: Fire alarm from 2.30 am to 5.00 amNot able to fix.No evacuation since it was not an HSE issue, but a system issue.During checkout I asked a price reduction for the last night but the girl in the reception was very unkind.Next week I will be here again. If anything will not be perfect it will be one single star again.
Alistair Forrest: Terrible place avoid like the plagueRooms: 2/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 4/5 …More
I Bain: The rooms are a bit old now and do need to be refreshed. However, the staff and food are very good and there is a gym if you are up for it.Watch out when you come off the motorway, easy to miss the right turn on the roundabout.Liked the order at the table kit, which meant the food service was really quick.

Lyndon House Hotel: what do users think?
Claire Cooper: Giving this a location of 3 not because of its proximity to services like the train or bus station but because the noise from the main road was extreme at times.I'm used to living on a main road so the noise was not too bothersome for me however if you are not used to it you may want to ask for a room away from the road. The room was tidy and the bed was clean and comfortable. The shower was an over the bath hand shower. Not the best if your in a hurry but the bath ran quickly and was plenty big enough. The breakfast was simple and hot. The cereal and fruit was simple and there was plenty of juice. The cooked option was any variation of the full English with eggs cooked however you like. The staff were lovely. They were attentive and always friendly. For the price this is a good stay. Hence 5 star for overall.
David Lake: Had an excellent stay at Lyndon House. Rooms a little dated but perfectly fine. Staff from reception through to Bar Staff and waitresses at breakfast.were excellent. Breakfast was brilliant and food in the Bar was very good. All in all very good.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
SUPER JO: Absolutely amazing. Clean spotless rooms and so exquisite. Food delicious and staff so friendly. Thank you so much for making the night we stayed so perfect. 💗Rooms: Absolutely amazing the room we stayed in it was so clean as well thank you so much cos I cannot stand a dirty room or bathroom.Food & drinks: Tasted out of this world. Staff amazing too. Bar staff very friendly and I am a yapper they even listened to me lol so real good. Could not fault it food tasted 5 star. Gammon meal then sticky toffee brownie. Yummy 🍫 😋

Martin King: Although lived in Walsall for many years and I don't remember going into the Lyndon House. Me, my brothers and partners met up for a meal and were pleasantly surprised. If you want good pub food and really nice beers, then this is the place for you. We had a really good time and will visit again
Paul Hancock: Beers ok 👍
Ian Ray: My stay at the Lyndon House Hotel was good and comfortable. This is an old historical property, with a nice bar area and a good conservatory. The room was fine for this historical building, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The conservatory doubles up as breakfast area, (nice, large and light area). The property also has a lovely outside garden area, which would be nice in the summer months. Staff very friendly and a good breakfast was served on both mornings.(Would book again, just for the character)Walkability: This is at the top end of town, but in walking distance of everything. If a wheelchair is used it might be harder as it up on a hill incline.
Martin Voice: Poor choice of Lagers
Darran Folk: Excellent hotel. From arrival all staff were welcoming and helpful. Room had everything you need. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order, no buffet style but you are kept informed. It was worth the short wait. Ate fish & chips in the bar restaurant it was excellent and accompanied by somequality pints of real ale from the well stocked bar. Car park is a bit small but this is a traditional hotel in a town and there's plenty of nearby car parks if needed.
Jean Sedgley: We didn't stay in hotel, just had drinks at bar. Cosy with a open fire, barman was quick to serve, so all ok 👍Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Marco Filipe Apolinario: The rooms are very old, and the bathroom is a disaster. Not so much water on the shower make almost impossible take a shower. The breakfast is good and the bar is very nice. Some people from the staff have no skills to attend guests.I will not repeat.
John Forman: Gone down hill since the change of ownership, but it's still a nice placeRooms: 3/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Andy Raven: Been taken over in recent times. However it’s much the same as before. Decent beers at competitive prices.
andy bate: Good room bed not so comfy needs new mattress breakfast very good friendly staffRooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Rebecca Askey: Bathrooms need updating, no problem with original features and antique basins etc, but unhygienic shower screens, lime scaled, fixtures and fittings let the room down. Service was amazing, staff were friendly. Breakfast was good, coffee was too cool. Meat was good quality. Not much of a selection of continental available. Left adequately fed though, portions were generous.
chris dugmore: Good beers, good selection, staff friendly
susan booth: I wanted to show my step grandson what good table manners were required when eating in a restaurant so decided to bring him for Sunday lunch today. However, apart from a lovely welcome from your staff, the lunch was very disappointing. Overcooked carrots, dry peas, tough beef, poor roast and mashed potatoes, not home cooked gravy, cauliflower and cheese( rubbery.). In fact the only thing we liked were Yorkshire pudding. So sorry to have to send this.
Conrad Mark Westwood: Great place to pop in for a quiet drink

Premier Inn Birmingham (Great Barr/M6 J7) hotel: what do users think?
J Simple: Amazing service, polite and extremely helpful staff. After a late night at a work evening we checked in around 11:20pm.We were met by Karim at the desk who was extremely nice and when I made a comment about wanting a hot chocolate to my colleague. Karim popped in the back and grabbed one of his own personal sachets of hot chocolate and gave it to me. We had a good chat checking in and we went to our rooms. Thank Karim, you are a legend. What great service.Morning staff were also very helpful and polite fixing our breakfast. All around a great experience. Will return when visiting Birmingham.

steve brown: Lovely breakfast, don’t book a family room here as they don’t do them even though you can book one on the internet
Ian Jackson: Was ok for 1 night disappointed that I was meant to have meal deal dinner and breakfast but website doesn't tell you or didn't that no dinner on site lucky there is a carvery next door but was fully booked and which I'd have booked if I'd known dinner wasn't included. Breakfast I've had better at other prem Inns. Room was ok apart from bedside lights buttons broken that had a hole where button was meant to be but wasn't and just the live and neutral wires free for all the touch good luck with that.
Adam Chapman: Staff were very polite and generally it was a nice place to stay but the rooms are in dire need of refurbishment. Mold on the grout in the shower & around the shower basin, soft beds not like all other Premier Inn beds. Room itself is the older light wood style and not the current dark wood style most of the other premiers I stay at have.Rooms: Really need to be refurbished.
Anna Guerin: Very clean, convenient hotel with large car park (free to guests). Service was friendly and fast. Great freshly cooked breakfast (buffet for uncooked items). If you are there around dinner time I highly recommend the Indian restaurant next door (Basmati)
Ian Elston: Rooms need updating leaks in bathroomRooms: 2/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

RedBaron1916: Nice Premier Inn. Unfortunately, you can't get the full 'meal deal' at this one. The adjacent Harvester can get rather busyRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Conrad Gerrad: Very friendly staffRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Colyford Photographic: Beds were lumpy and not comfortable. The room smelt of damp and the bathroom smelt of sewerage. This Premier inn needs urgent upgrading as it certainly not the standard we are used to when staying at a Premier Inn. The Breakfast was poor with no provisions for people with dietary requirements. No sugar free juice, No sugar free yogurts - No Sugar free Mix Fruit salad.
Chris Bryson: Spent the night here whilst at an event in Birmingham. Hotel is easy to find and there are lots of parking spaces. Received a quick and friendly welcome at check in by Lisa and Paulette. Room is exactly as expected, has the essentials and was clean. We ate elsewhere at night but had some drinks at the Harvester next door before calling it a night - very handy. Had a great night sleep, breakfast the following morning was spot on.If I were to suggest improvements, it would be the lighting of the car park.
Edwina Martin: Rooms: Very clearFood & drinks: Only had breakfast very good quality and friendly. The staff on the reception desks gave us a lovely Anniversary card and chocolates when she found out about our Anniversary.
Darren Jones: Nice breakfast but loads of thieves in the area so keep an eye on your vehicle!Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 1/5 …More

Doug H: Played golf so can't comment on the rooms decent course at a good priceService: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Tom King: Absolute Dive for Sunday lunch. After booking a table to be informed there is a wait on the meat and they are only serving TurkeyDefinitely won't be returning
Toby Hefford: We had a fantastic game of golf, the staff were friendly and the course was in good condition even after all the rain recently, love the guy in the kart with food and drink very helpful telling us how to get to the next holes.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Marc Wilson: Been several times and venue & food always good & fair priced .Service can be a little lax when busy .Server polite but could have asked if we needed drinks through our time dinning rather than just at the start .NB, They do not like to take cash payment now & awkward to do so . *This is not advised at any point prior to you going to pay or when booking .Plenty of free parkingFood & drinks: Good Quality carvery at fair price . Good portions choice .
Robert Bull: Attended a wedding reception here last night .went to buy drinks at the bar and when presented with them i was told i couldnt pay for them with cash !!They are a cashless bar i was told. What a ridiculous way to run a business, if it hadnt of been for the groom paying for our drinks on his card all night we would of been back in the taxi going home !PATHETIC.
Husnayn Ibrahim: Emma was an absolute star! Great service and always caters towards my needs.
Pat Edis: Afternoon tea, over priced!!!There was a large group of ladies, we had to share a plate tier of food between 3 of us which wouldn't have been a problem if there had been enough for three! Not being greedy, but I had 3 finger sandwiches because I don't like coronation chicken that came in pastry the size of a 10p piece! the others had 2 sandwiches and pastries, good choice of sandwiches but out of the few we had only 1 of them was chicken, pity if 2 of us wanted them! Scones came with cream and jam already on, my friend doesn't like jam so had to scrape it off. Other cakes were no more than bite size. VERY disappointed
James Byrne: Very worried the way this place is going. After having my wedding there which was amazing and many a carvery since the last few months have really started to go downhill with now 2 carvery’s beef running out very early in the day, please fix this
Julie Cooper: Me and my friend had Sunday lunch there it was the best carvery we had ever had and the staff were amazing
Paramjit Dhillon: We have been a regulars at the golf club for over12 years & enjoyed the food , booked to go on the 23 jan had chicken burger, the butter fly chicken was rock hard cut the bits of that where eatable & left the rest I won’t be going back again. Came home & thinking about it. I should have sent the food back. I can cook chicken much better than that,
sam mills: decent driving range
Tracy Hawkins: The lady was so lovely, we arrived late with my son. They where closing she let him play for 20 mins I was so grateful x
Sue Bourke: Very disappointed with the Xmas meal, service was very slow between courses, I can only describe the main course as something you would expect in a works canteen, a real shame as last year was faultless, will reconsider having our Xmas celebrations here next year
Helen Guy (Wildheart): Went with a friend for lunch. It was excellent. Lots of choice and good sized portions. Wish I'd discovered the Lakeside restaurant sooner!
david baker: Poor Christmas dinner dry unappealing school dinners where better what can I say served them up never asked if ok because of course they where not, to bad if you don’t like them just don’t come back go else where if you can
Sandra taylor: Found this place by chance when looking for somewhere in between family locations. Wow what a hidden gem, outstanding carvery, attentive staff with a relaxed atmosphere for a get together, wasn't felt rushed to move after eating either. Will be back again 😋🤗 xx

Barry Monks: Room had been updated since my last visit, several years ago, but the bathroom cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Found a silverfish on the wall, and the bath looked years old and like it had not been properly cleaned in a month. Central heating didn't work well enough to heat the room, and there was a small oil heater, which had a set of legs missing.
WayTooManyBricks: Room was OK, tea and coffee, a shower and a bed. The corridors were a bit smelly. Quiet locationRooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Leanne Webb: Miserable moody female bar worker. Looks like she doesn't even want to be there. I dont usually leave reviews but its the third time stopping in this hotel and I've never felt so unwelcomed me and my friend ended up leaving bar and going back to the room.Asked for a coffee and told us in a cant be bothered way that it was broke my friend felt she was only saying that because she couldnt be bothered to go make it I agree. Service with a moody miserable face I would say maybe she was having a bad day but 3 times I've stayed now and shes moody and unwelcoming and looks like she wants to not be there. The male bar worker seemed manager material very welcoming I forgot to ask for his name so I could leave it here. Think the ladies name began with an R did ask but can't remember.Other than that your welcome desk had a very lovely lady on there with smile and the cleaners were very nice in the morning giving us an extra towel for my hair.Beds are comfy and clean. So my advice to customers is if you have no intention in going to bar your stay will be fine if you go to the bar expect a moody miserable face.
