National Trust - The Buscot and Coleshill Estates: what do users think?

Tiffany Joslin: I think it is fairly newly opened. Tried to do the red walk at coleshill which is lovely but couldn't complete it all as it was very flooded alot. Lively range of walks we doen abit or red, green and purple will visit again to complete properly. Nothing really here at this national.trust just a cafe and parking. You need to park at different areas for different walks though we found but all close to eachother but you can access all walks from Coleshill. Only thing to remember is sat nav takes you to cattle grid at start of Coleshill walk but carry on up the road and turn left and then the 2nd left and care park is there. Nothing for kids to do here would say it is only good for walking the dog there is a national trust cafe there.

Nicu B.: Great place to have a wonderful view over the largest area of Cheltenham.

Andy Pickersgill: Good walks, good views. Nice spot. Nice big potholes to avoid

Alastair Stevens: Great spot for a picnic without the crowds, and the starting point for lots of lovely Cotswolds country walks among meadows, horses and sheep, with fabulous views.

Al Bell: A basic spot, great view, a short walk, fully enclosed so good for the dog to run about freely when there are no cows.

Bob Franklin: I always thought where did the stones come from for Stonehenge? After all I did live next to it for 14 years. Well now I know where and how. The blue stone was from wales. You could walk all the way to Avebury Ring on these stones but sadly they have been removed by Farmers before the Trust took over.

Annabel Kaye: Small but fasinatingVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Susan Womersley: Not a place to come for whole day out but Avery Stone circle is just a short trip away

TheFinsbro: Where chisels are still stuck in the rocks

Simeon Smith: Sarsen stones scattered along a dry valley. The nature reserve spans three fields. My kids enjoyed climbing on the stones. You can park on the road through the village, and there is a small playground opposite the nature reserve entrance.

Paul Cooper: Fantastic grey weathers - Sarsen stones- great place for a packed lunch in the sun

Adrian Ross-Magenty: You can rent the cottage there on Airbandb

Alexander Hudson: Beautiful part of Wiltshire between Avebury and Marlborough. Pretty much the very picture of an English village harbouring a tiny part of a national treasure. Littered about as though forgotten remnants of ancient sarsen stone that dot the monuments of this part of the landscape of the country. Lockeridge itself is also home to the 'who'd a thought it' pub and close to Silbury Hill and West Kennet long barrow. If you like ancient history up close you can't go wrong in this part of the world.

Ian Sharratt: Quite lovely spot. Sarsen stones everywhere and there's a path weaving through them. If you climb up the bank on one side there's a great view over this small valley - stayed nearby in an AirBnB which was charming.

Keanen: ONE OF WILTSHIRE’S BEST HILLS!!!

Roger Perkins: Ideal place for a walk to see wildlife; certainly plenty of butterflies, Marsh Fritillary, Common Blue and Grizzled Skipper being most numerous of 18 species, amongst a few day flying moths, five spot Burnet, Cinnabar and Burnet Companion

Caz Hailstone: Beautiful spot for a Bee Count with a friend who goes there often for that reason. V well kept with managed woods, steep fields with ridgelets, wide pathways & good access with info.boards. Views to the North are amazing.."I can see for miles & miles & miles".Cowslips all over & many other species of bird, plant & butterfly.. a favourite area for spotters. Free. Main path can be muddy; ok for a bumpy wheelchair ride or buggy. Dogs on leads only due to cattle.

Ivor Humphries: We have just been for a lovely walk up to Morgan's hill nature reserve in the lovely evening sunshine, it's a nice gentle walk up a slope and the views are marvellous you can see for miles and walk for miles if you want to....It looks out over the lovely Wiltshire countryside over looking the rear of the cherhill white horse hill and monument, well worth making the effort,we spotted a deer and lots of birds and butterflies amongst the wild flora and fauna...There is loads of room to park with picnic tables around.....visited this lovely place again in the winter of February 2019 the snow was quite deep in places about 2 to 3 feet in some of the drifts,it was a very fresh walk but well worth it managed to take some lovely photos for you all lto look at.Another visit on 1st April 2022...If you think this review is helpful please give it a 👍 up,Thank you.❤️

suparna das: and to my surprise I could go upto a junction where a road to a private farm starts and we returned from there for the day.only challenge with the pram was where there was some ridge on the road possibly from farm vehicle ,but it was manageable, apart from this the trip was enjoyable.Hoping to go again to complete the trail one day.Parking space at smallgrain picnic area is large, free.easy to find.

Mitch Harris: Great for natureGreat for the views
