Goddard Arms Swindon: what do users think?
Andrew Savill: Pleasant atmosphere, kind service, lovely foodRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
The Hiking Leprechaun: Took a tour group here, and a great place it is, too. The location, service, food, and style, it is definitely worth a visit.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view, Great value …More
Jemaima Olori: I always come here to eat whenever I want to watch some football. Brilliant atmosphere, a great food & drink selection and attentive staff. You can't go wrong coming here.Food & drinks: Great pub grub.
Chloe Bird: You have an absolutely amazing server called Jack. Really attentive, funny and caring - what an asset to the team. Great food after a moving in day of graft. Thank you!!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Donna Hope: 2nd time I have been here, and lived in Swindon 30 years,Beer good, food undesirable, breakfast was tasteless and this time same
Clare Smith: Fantastic pubGreat atmosphereFabulous staff, especially Jess, Jack and BenService: 5/5 …More
Carl Smith: Great pub, food an beer selection but above all excellent staff. Jess looked after us and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back
Gemma Fry: In response to your reply; ‘mum decided to leave too’ yes I did, obviously! I’m hardly going to stay somewhere that 1) has been incredibly rude to my daughter and family members, and 2) leave my daughter unaccompanied. What else was I supposed to do?You also state ‘the father of the child actually stayed at the function’ did he really? Amazing, as he wasn’t in attendance! He was at home with my younger child who we thankfully didn’t bring to your very unfriendly establishment. Why are you lying? And why are you also not addressing the more serious matter of DISCRIMINATION AGAINST A DISABLED PERSON??She was told she was a ‘fire hazard and had to leave’ At least 6 people heard the lady state this and even when asked to repeat what she said (as we couldn’t believe what we heard) she commented ‘yes that’s right, you are a fire hazard and can’t stay’ This is totally unacceptable . The fact that you have overlooked this point now on not only mine but other peoples reviews, says a lot!________________________________________Attended a private function on Good Friday. Not only we’re the staff incredibly rude, couldn’t provide their licence to show us that my daughter wasn’t allowed on the premises (something I have NEVER heard of at a private function) but then told my sister in law that she wasn’t allowed in the function room due to her being disabled. WOW!! Never have I witnessed discrimination against a disabled person before. And to state on a review below that she left on her own accord is a lie. She was made to leave after being told she was a ‘fire hazard’ if she left on her own accord like you said, why the need to send in security??Absolutely awful place. Emails have been sent to management and I really do hope you take the discrimination against a disabled person seriously and I think training of your staff of such issues should be carried out immediately.
Nigel Robinson: Went to a private function on Good Friday and the manager made a disabled lady on crutches who was mobile leave the function as she was told she was a fire hazard .She did not leave of her own accord but was ordered out security then stood on the door so she could not return.I thought this behaviour was illegal in todays society Will not returnMust disagree with your answers to mine and other comments about this incident either your memory is faulty or your are lying to cover up your actions The disabled lady did NOT leave of her own accord but was told to leave by YOU as you stated that she was a fire hazard this was witnessed by many people who all will swear to this.I did not say she was escorted out by security you said that BUT you had them lined up by the door in a very threatening Manor it was not to stop the younger girl getting back in it was just intimidation stop telling lies own up to what you did discriminated against a disabled person.
Paulemes Emes: I had quick and effective customer service by the bar staff member name JessService: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jack Griffiths: Went for a meal with my partner which was lovely and the service from Jess was top notch 👌🏼
Rhian Amos: Unfortunately not a great experience. Some parts of the roast were amazing but other were awful i.e the veg and cauliflower cheese. Some of the staff members were also extremely put out to bring refills and even a tad rude when talking to us.Beautiful building and interior so it's a shame.
Martin Rogers: Stayed the night, gorgeous bed so have a very good sleep.Didn't eat so can't comment but had a few drinks which were very nice, busy last night which speaks for itself, definitely recommend. 😀Rooms: Excellent bed
Darren Murphy: Really friendly helpful staff. Got there quite early but Jess and her team were very happy to accommodate us. The evening meal and breakfast were very nice. Would definitly recommend.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

RE P: Me and a group of friends visited on the Wednesday and had a great evening filled with good food, well priced drinks and lovely chilled atmosphere.
margaret trojan: A truly enthralling place to visit. So much to see and wonder at. The audio guides are free and help to explain the various rooms and paintings that you see. The Coronation dress and Robe of Estate and jewellery worn by the Queen are stunning and there are several information boards that give you a brief description of the ceremony. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to take photos or videos inside the castle, so I recommend you buy one of the guide books that are on sale. The gift shops offer a variety of things to buy from reasonably priced to "how much?" (Gasp). You really need two or 3 days to see it all, including St George's Chapel, another beautiful place to visit with so much history. I had better stop now as I seem to be writing a guide book 📖
Rod Knee: Fantastic roast dinner..
Debra Poulton: Great relaxed atmosphere, good selection of beers, food is excellent, for someone who doesn’t like beef burgers, the gammon & pineapple burger fantastic, loved it.The outside space is really nice and once the inside is brightened up a little in my opinion, would be fabulous, great spaces, especially for smaller gathering, with the food as well, perfect venue 👍👍
Andrew Whelan: Lovely real ale pub.
Paul Devlins Universe: Nice pub good atmosphere.
