Lee Cain: My kids love kaspas, it's a great trendy place to treat them. Amazing list of ice-cream and desserts on the menu. Inside is kinda retro looking and lots of booths. The prices are really expensive for just desserts, I couldn't take them every week, but it's ok for that special occasion,Kid-friendliness: The place is obviously designed for families, the kids get really excited ☺️

Steve Light (SLART THE ARTIST): My favourite café in Swindon. Handy central location, great coffee, great food and snacks. Huge kudos for displaying local artist’s artwork and accommodating local band nights. Highly recommended.
Calvin Smith: By far the best place to stop if you're in town. Good value, great service, friendly customers, toasty warm and...Amazing coffee. I only drink black coffee and they never burn the beans and it's really smooth.

Claire M: This super friendly locally run cafe is so much nicer than those predictable big chains.We looked at the near perfect reviews - and of course, read the single bad review first. It's only criticism seemed to be that they let in dogs. Since we were out of towners killing time before dropping our dog off for surgery, that was actually the selling point.What we got was an absolutely delicious breakfast with generous portions and friendly chat from the owners. A totally enjoyable experience all round. Would recommend.

Nathan “Nate” Smart: Updated review:Change in hands since we last came but still an amazing atmosphere and delicious food.Oysters are still here and delicious as always. Some great garnishs, particularly the Asian one.Food was phenomenal, with amazing flavours and combinations I hadn't had before. The presentation of it all and how it was brought out really brought it all together making it a lovely experience.Staff are very friendly and really show their passion in their food which doesn't feel gimmicky nor overwhelming but adds to a great restaurant experience.We will definitely be coming again. We want to try something else off the menu but I don't know, as I was won over by what we had!
Fiona Marlow: I'd not been here before but wanted somewhere central for a meet up with a couple of friends. I couldn't be more happy with everything. Great cozy atmosphere, really nice decor, our waiter was Ryan and he was just lovely, perfect amount of attentiveness without being too much. The food was gorgeous, we all ordered different things and all were fabulous. Particularly recommend the oysters, scallops and hake. Great night all round, will be back very soon 😊

Dan and the team, put on an amazing party night for my other half Russell to celebrate his 60th birthday, over 100 guests with a zoned area and we partied all night long!Fab DJ, amazing service from the bar team and nothing was too much trouble. A huge thank you to Ryan, Toby, Finn and James for keeping our friends glasses topped up and a great job too from the Food Crew who we asked to get involved with feeding our guests with a steady stream of delicious pizzas.It's five stars from us!!!This is our local.... we wouldn't have gone anywhere else because we knew we were in the safest of hands! Cheers to The Royal Oak!!!!

Natalia Thompson: Lovely little place in Old Town where we had breakfast. The food was delicious and the staff were welcoming. There's outdoor seating and a few tables inside as well. It's very popular and was busy from the time we arrived to the time we left.Edit:I've recently begun eating only plant-based foods. They were very accommodating in swapping out dairy and eggs from the veggie breakfast to meet my requirements. Yay!

rebecca hastings: Visited for the first time and a delicious breakfast here. One normal full English and one gluten free. You could feel that the staff members really cared about their customer service and also reassured me that the gluten free was cooked totally separately as well as checking the reason why I had asked for gluten free. A great independent cafe and we will definitely be returning.
