M E C A: what do users think?
Helen L (AllThingsBlue): MECA Adult Roller Disco is my favourite 😍. Over 18's, all skating abilities welcome, skate hire, lovely staff, great music, bar even sells pizza. Stop wondering, get your skates on and join in the fun. 2 hrs = 6K steps 😉
Chelsie Cordial: Mecca is a great venue for gigs but they need to sort out the sound system. I have been twice recently and both times you can't hear the music properly. Very poor quality and spoilt the night.
ALISTAIR FREETH: Dear Mecca went to your 80s event tonight, please please sort your sound quality out its a bit to loud but more worrying just to distorted and vocals undefined and its spoiling the show! regards Alistair Freeth.
Matt McK: Wonderful
Nicolajane Skriabin: Can not rate this place enough it's amazing
David Matthews: What a difference, brilliant venue. Fantastic refurbishment
C R: Watched an MMA event here.Decent selection of car parks nearby.I can imagine the venue is good for things such as music or similar, but for fighting it was difficult to see the event with rows of people standing in front of you. There were some seat options, but of course you had to pay for the privilege. I think events like these are better in venues with seating or viewing areas around the whole stage.Overall the venue is decent, just depends on what you are seeing there.
Richard Butler: Good
Scott Price: I had a great time at the sausage and cider festival.A very good multi purpose venue. This venue has a such a good layout, stage design, sound and lightning system. I really do genuinely believe this venue should be focusing on hosting raves such as drum and bass or tech house events etcIt really has so much potential to do well in the rave scene
Pappanigs Pappanigs: Great night out. boom
Laz Rick: Over priced drinks. The ladies toilets, ones closes to the stage we're filthy and the taps were not working so had to go to the other toilets to wash your hands.
miss fire: Sat at the 80s live retro event..supposed to have started at 6.30 pm.. Still sat waiting at 7.30 pm.. Singer's good I think.. though difficult to understand what they saying.. Sound quality is awful, I mean absolutely dire!! , sounds like kids shouting in a bucket.or the shouting at a fun fair.. . Sound engineer must be tone deaf or also wearing a bucket on his head.. ! .. Such a shame as could of been brilliant, crowd up for it so guess that's the main thing.. Good venue and seen some good shows here.
Vishal Singla: It's awesome.......
Tracey Bradley: Was a brilliant night great music.
Mark Whiting: Brilliant night, well recommend
Sean Morrissey: Cheap night out, and we enjoyed the show, even though we were the butt of a few of the jokes. Will definitely come again.
John Clifford: Great night out
Jean Fewings: Lovely staff and excellent food, table looked amazing.Only down fall was had to wait outsideBefore we could go in
Dennis Shirley: Meca staff good beer a little pricey but a good night was had by all
Michael Wyatt: Last visited this venue when it was still a cinema! Very surprised at high standard of decor etc. 5 stars based on the show I saw (70s music). Great band and good atmosphere.
Christina Warren: Brillant night Bongo bingo

The Swindon Summer Bowl: what do users think?
Jae Hall: Such a wonderful event, we felt so safe the entire time!! Amazing food, brilliant atmosphere and the staff were all so professional and welcoming. Would highly recommend this if like me you’re nervous about the pandemic but also craving getting out the house.
Steve Hinns: A fantastic event for Swindon promoting arts and culture. The food was delicious (had a lovely Vegan salad), the personal service superb and attention to detail from organisers to host responsibly was reassuring at all times
Alex Worrall: Was amazing. I was impressed by the social distancing measure and I felt incredibly comfortable being there. It must have been one of the first public events since the lockdown was lifted. I was impressed by the food and the service. They were very accomodating for my disabled son and never felt ignored. It was great to go as a family or a social bubble and social distancing was incredibly strict. Pricing was reasonable as well
Deez Nuts: Tremendous fun for all the family in a simp-free environment!
Jonny Crook: Really well organised event , and the entertainment was great , and the food was FANTASTIC ! highly recommended by me and my friends 🙂
Matthew Jones: WHAT A VENUE!! This excellent socially distanced bowl is a work of art! A great one way system.. you can order drinks by the app which they have made really well in a limited amount of time... many different options for day and evening events for all ages to enjoy! Will be going back!
Billy Taylor: Highly recommend this. Professional set up, delicious food and the entertainment is fantastic. Will be returning.
J R: Great night out. Very friendly and professional staff. Very well organised from the start.
Robbie Thomas: Really enjoyable evening. Pizza was delicious. Service was exceptional. Staff handled a rather unpleasant customer very well. Would absolutely go again!
Martin Watson: Great pricing! Loved how organised the whole thing was and the way they have catered for the current situation. Entertainment was excellent and the whole thing felt so professional
jess: Amazing venue. Friendly staff. Great night out
Marcus Adams: Overpriced for what you get, however the pizzas were tasty. At seat ordering system was poor with a non intuitive UI that felt like it has not been tested on multiple phones.

The Pear Tree: what do users think?
Connor Collins Magic: Beautiful venue. Great staff.
Mohammed Kathrada: Attended a work colleagues wedding evening do. Seemed very nice
jaq James: We recently attended the wedding of our son and daughter-in-law and stayed overnight. The venue was beautiful and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The customer service is impeccable and the food was delicious. I cannot thank Josh and the team enough for making a special day perfect. I would highly recommend.
Emma Leigh Izat-Higgs: Attended my best friend's wedding here. Absolutely stellar venue and the food omg. Try the lamb. You must, if you do nothing else in this life, try the lamb.
David O'Shea: I got married here and I cannot recommend it enough. Josh the GM was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble, he took the time to explain everything to us as first timers. The staff were all fantastic. The food was delicious, my guests were nothing but complimentary of the whole venue & team running the Pear Tree.
Sarah Pound: Lovely venue, excellent hosts , rooms spectacular
Georgina Brice: We have just got married at the Pear Tree. It was incredible, the food was perfection & as was the service. There was absolutely nothing that was too much trouble for the staff from start to finish. I cannot recommend it enough! All our guests were in awe, the ones who stayed overnight didn't have a negative thing to say on check out. Josh and his team are truly incredible at what they do, I just wish we could do it all over again!
Ben Creed: What a venue 👏🏽 great staff great service decent bar prices beautiful surrounds
Paul Eldred: Lovely place
Jonny Ross Music: We provided the wedding band, acoustic daytime music and DJ here for Sophie & Ben's wedding. All the staff were so lovely and welcoming, really attentive and hardworking. The food was incredible, and the atmosphere throughout was fantastic. A fantastic venue for a romantic atmosphere, and great for a party with live music in the evening too! We look forward to working with you again.
JULIA PHELPS: Beautiful setting and food and service top class
Martin Bond: We held our daughter Kelly's wedding at the Pear Tree on the 6th of April 2023 and I have to say that from minute one everything was perfect. The staff were like a well oiled machine and everything ran as smooth as you could want. The food was on a different level and served with precision and professionalism all the staff were attentive, polite and friendly. The venue itself was absolutely perfect and everyone involved from the Pear Tree contributed to make our daughters day so memorable. Many many thanks for all your efforts. Please pass on our sincere thanks to everyone.
Samantha Melrose: I can’t thank The Pear Tree enough for helping make our special day truly memorable. Our wedding was perfect, the staff were so incredibly helpful and accommodating - we really couldn’t recommend them enough! Huge thanks to Zosia and Zhanet for managing the day so perfectly.
Biker Bill: My daughters wedding was held at The Pear Tree and we can’t praise them enough. The location is beautiful, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful all of which made the event very special. Thank you so much.
Warren Ackroyd: Visited as a wedding venue.Very clean & tidy. It's such a beautiful building with lovely gardens.Could not use cash, which was poor.Toilets were clean at the start of the day but would not have missed a good mop every few hours.Waitresses were slightly uneducated as they did keep taking out bottles of wine (paid for by us) when they still had about 1 glass worth left. Had to chase them back about 5 times between 3 pm and 7 pm.
Margaret Ottaway: Beautiful wedding venue. B&B and alcohol expensive
Olivia Davis: We had our wedding at the Pear Tree on Saturday 11 Feb and it was absolutely magical!! We knew the venue was perfect for us even before first viewing but this was only confirmed when the venue agreed to hold our wedding on a date they were scheduled to still be closed for January maintenance.Food was incredible, venue/rooms were spotless and spectacular, service was amazing - catering, bar, housekeeping. Honestly can't thank the team enough for making everything so special and we've had so many compliments from guests!Tom and I want to say a huge thank you to the team for making our weekend so special!! A massive thanks to Zosia and Lauren who helped make the Friday and Saturday as stress-free and seamless as possible and whose attention to detail helped to make the Orangery look perfect! A huge thanks also to Lauren and Jade for their patience and help along the planning journey.Wish we could do it all again 💖
Hayley Macdonald: Beatiful place for a wedding lovely and clam experience
K Ina: Disapointing service! I attended a friend's wedding this summer and although the venue was beautiful, it was a shame about the unacceptable customer service and bad attitude of some staff. Lots of promises were made beforehand that weren't carried out on the day. There were even simple requests like cutting and serving the wedding cake that were refused... After many issues were brought to the attention of management, no effort has been made to make things right. If you're considering booking a wedding at this venue would definitely would do some research about other people's issues with the management team, before spending a significant amount of money.
Shyanne Davis: No matter how many successful weddings they may have, if they ruin just one brides day and don’t have the decency to appropriately rectify it after causing so much distress, it says a lot about this company. This is what happened to me. A lot of promises that were not carried out. Did not compensate or resolve afterwards. Disappointed and would not recommend.
charmaine northcote: Is always an absolute beautiful than you.And it's now always pleasure to go there to set up

Lydiard House Conference Centre: what do users think?
David Butcher: Great food lovely place and friendly staff
chappy nippish: Lovely place to get a hot drink (or even a beer), in warm and comfortable surroundings.
Leo Bloom: I love this park i never get bored of taking my dog for a walk here , i have a season ticket for the parking , which is so much better now it's done online and paperless .
J.Glenn Bauer: Tiny, overheated rooms, with room doors that don't lock properly. The location on the grounds of Lydiard Park are ideal. The cost per room is not bad. Very quiet bar & dinning room.
Jane Davies: A big thank you to Steve, Sam and their team, we have just had a family reunion at Lydiard Park. They all went out of their way to make our stay and our family meal a resounding success. We had to make various alterations at the last minute due to illness and mechanical car breakdowns and they were flexible and very understanding. The food, drink, service excellent, we had a lovely room to ourselves with Christmas decorations which made it special. The bedrooms were clean and functional, we had 6 rooms all fine would perhaps say although perfectly clean and modern room 2 is small with no hanging space or hooks fine for an overnight but for any longer a bit tight for 2 people. Additionally you step outside into the lovely Park, kept our family entertained for two days, walking, orienteering, football/games, children playground, cafe and a visit to the house.Well done, we hope to return.
Paul Cowie: Enjoyed an event here, recently refurbished and further work planned.
Kelly Kingsbeer: Had a Christmas party there . Staff were brilliant. Sam made sure everyone was looked after and having a good time. Food was good lots of room to dance .
Vince Lake: Friendly people and are very attentative, well done...
margaret trojan: Attended a function organised by the Royal British Legion, Lydiard House provided a delicious buffet with unlimited tea and coffee for the many attendees. Very enjoyable.
Chris Schoenell: Wunderschön gelegenes Hotel in Swindon. In der Nähe der Cotswolds.
kim grace: Convenient for a visit of a wedding..but oh dear needs an update ..basic I expected but not SO tired looking ..comfy bed ..but a very squeaky wardrobe door
caradoc taylor: NICE and fairly quiet
Brandy Killick: Staff extremely helpful room lovely and all set in a beautiful location would definitely stay here again
Helen Ingham: Perfectly fine standard hotel. We had what was clearly a single room with another bed added which was disappointing - difficult to move round the beds no bedside table or lights.
Colleen Sheen: Lovely place, came here myself as a kid and now I bring my own.
bum steak: Good place for weddings, meetings , and all other group meetings
Frances Dickinson: We had great difficulty finding this place as the sat nav sent us to 3 different places before we found it. Grounds were beautiful. The entrance was not clearly marked and no one was on reception any time we went there. The bedroom was so small and there were minimal coat hangars in the wardrobe and nowhere to put your toiletries in the bathroom. It was lovely and quiet to sleep with no intrusive noise from the anniversary celebration party. Breakfast was unimpressive.
susan moss: Loved it 😊👍
