Lady Smith Equestrian Center: what do users think?

Liam Bellenie: Booked a few classes for my wife to get back into riding, thoroughly impressed. Beautiful location and lots of friendly people. We plan to come here for many years.

Graham Heath: I booked a refresher riding lesson for my wife, who hadn't ridden for years. We were hugely impressed with the warmth and kindness shown to us, and the professional, expert guidance given. My wife returned inspired and encouraged to continue riding. We'd recommend LadySmith Equestrian to anyone, whatever their level or experience.

Kirsty Cramond: I have had lessons at Ladysmith Equestrian for several years both in the riding school and more recently with my own horse on livery there. The horses are very well cared for, facilities well maintained and great local hacking. A friendly and supportive yard.

Tracey Wilmot: Fantastic livery yard with top facilities, so many amazing hacking opportunities and all year round turnout. So lucky to be able to keep my horse at Ladysmith. Their dedication and commitment to getting the best from horse and rider is just outstanding.

Sarah Haywood: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueWe started riding lessons at Ladysmith 10 years ago and it says it all that we now own 2 horses both stabled at Here. Owners are professional and friendly- always on hand to give advice and encouragement, horses are excellently cared for and very happy. This is a friendly happy and healthy yard!

John Highcock: Just Awesome

James Prince: Great location with lots of good hacking. Friendly people with well kept facilities.

Wendy Russell: I am very impressed by LadySmith already by their excellent customer service and friendly approach to my wish to start riding. I rang other stables and none were as welcoming and encouraging as Ladysmith. I cannot wait for my lesson as I know I will have fun in such a kind and caring environment. Wendy R

sharon murray: Great environment very friendly and professional

Sally “SP” P: Great facilities, beautiful off road hacking, friendly people

Richard Beale: An excellent stables and riding school, the owners are experienced and professional, friendly and approachable. This is reflected in the fun, relaxed atmosphere enjoyed at Ladysmith Equestrian. We are delighted to have our horse looked after by them.

Alex Griffiths: Ladysmith is an excellent riding school run by knowledgeable, helpful staff who prioritise safety for both riders and horses. They can cater both for experienced riders and nervous beginners.

Jan Stevens: What a great lesson this morning. Even the weather was kind. Ladysmith is such a friendly and calming place to ride. Lovely horses too. I can't wait to go back soon.

Rein & Shine Equestrian Centre: what do users think?

Marcin Zaręba: Fabulous place with very kind and nice people😉

joe basrawy: Very nice people and fun

Jean mckinney: Participating in a 5 month jump academy at Rein and Shine with Jo McDonald enabled me to build a partnership of trust with my horse and try things I never thought I would, and enjoy it! Riding the Racewood Eventing simulator as part of the course gave me a safe place to practice counting strides for jumping a grid and slipping-the-reign on a big jump, without the risk of my horse speeding off after a jump. Jo couched us through a grid in our first session, helping me build the confidence to try higher jumps and manage a fast ride-away without panicking and pulling the reigns. In our second session Jo’s coaching enabled me to ride my first mini-jump competition, putting together eight jumps in a row with a calm ride-away after each, before approaching the next jump. Using the simulator to practice cross-country gave me an opportunity to practice light-seat riding and going up and down steps, the latter being something I feared. Riding a simulated cross-country course in the arena was my favourite session, using the confidence and technique built on the simulator, I was able to canter up the cross-country step and trot out over a small log, and then ride a circle of hedge jumps, taking light-seat canter in-between the jumps and trusting my horse forward to flow over the hedges in canter. Missing the penultimate session due to an injury, made me nervous coming into the final session riding a different horse in the cross-country. My fear was being able to keep myself and my horse calm on the cross-country with other horses, being able to manage my strides on an unfamiliar horse and not jump before my horse, and remember to take light-seat, allow over the jump and ride away confidently. The coaching we received over the past 5 months was essential in giving me the confidence to try. The simulator sessions gave me the confidence to ride light-seat and allow and my horse over the jumps, looking for the next jump and riding forward to it. Jo’s coaching and encouragement helped me trust my horse and myself to try. With Jo’s excellent coaching and support, we finished a clear round and enjoyed ourselves.

Richard Lowe (The Lowemyster): My goddaughter has been going there for over a year it is great for all levels of riders.

Will Scott: Fantastic! First time riding for my 8 year old daughter and everything was super simple from start to finish.. excellent instructor! Will definitely return! Highly recommended

Jenna Thorne: Wow! I knew I had a tight tendon in my hip and have struggled a lot since having sciatica but this simulator and the knowledge of the instructor and her understanding of biomechanics has shown me that my pelvis has actually twisted. I was able to see this in graph form which helped me understand and my instructor, the awesome Jo McDonald, helped me to learn what I needed to do to correct this. I was then able to see the difference. A physiotherapist dream machine x

Sophie Towl: We went to Rein and Shine for a child’s first lead rein lesson. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The instructor was engaging and recognised the differing ability levels within the group. Overall a great experience.
