Savernake Forest: what do users think?

Charlie Robinson: Beautiful unspoiled natural forest, well maintained paths for walks, great for dogs.

Mark Hart: A lovely forest and a great walk, we spent about three hours walking around and didn't even cover half of it, the doggo loved the place but be careful there are some roads running through it.Visited on the weekend there is lots of free parking but it was very busy and spaces were limited, good footwear is recommended if it's been raining and the doggo definitely needed a bath after his adventures. There are some beautiful sights to see and I will definitely be doing a return visit to see the rest of the place,

DashCam UK: Lovely area for walks. Great deal of choice on which direction you want to go. However sign posts are non existent. Very easy to get dus orientated and get lost

Steve West: Such a beautiful place so peaceful and relaxingNot much parking there so he early.

James Brimble: Lovely for a picnic

Postern Hill Campsite: what do users think?

Peter Bradley: What a little gem! Rachel and Chris led us to our carefully selected pitch based on length and weight, gave us sturdy tread mats and said help yourself if you need more! There are squirrels, rabbits, foxes, stoats, birds, muntjaks and RED KITES! Facilities clean and maintained daily, hourly during 'muddy time's! Rachel and Chris are very knowledgeable on the immediate and surrounding areas. Steered us to a local eatery based on dietary needs and price range. Had a most enjoyable family meal at the Green Dragon. Historic places nearby. Booked for 3nights, stayed a week! Could tell you more but why don't you come and find out for yourselves? We will be back and we look forward to our stay. Thank you Rachel and Chris for a most memorable Forest Experience. Kris and Pete, Isle of Eight.x

Derek Jackson: We only recently discovered this site so called to suss it out. Looks just what we like, simple with no frills. Will be visiting when weather improves.Location: 5/5 …

Matt P: Great place to stay, really friendly staff too!

Bradley Simpson: Hotel highlights Quiet

The Moors campsite: what do users think?

warren pike: Beautiful location

sjava _pro: Wow

Mm Brace: Safe and sound - great hosts. A little gem!

Brian Pong: - Ideal location for travelling to Bath, Lacock, South of Cotswolds etc.Strongly recommend for staying here.

Jacob Robbins: Beautiful peaceful site. Lovely spacious pitches, and loved the wild flowers that were left to grow to seperate the pitches. Views were lovely across the fields, shower and loo block were clean and proper towels provided to dry hands on, which was a real homely touch. Friendly owners were there if needed, and left us to enjoy our 4 day break. Will definitely use again when that way.

Carron Fox: really enjoyed our stay the couple who own it are so lovely and very helpful. Recommended restaurant and parking for bath. Free hot shower and clean toilets. Would recommend.

Rob Woodland: Lovely little campsite this, small but ample sized pitches so your not onto ot others.. plenty of room to spread out. 2 toilets and one shower. Just off the m4 and not far from lacock abbey where we spend a good few hours.

Marian Wedzinga: Sweet couple.Small campsite.2 toilets, 1 shower. Washing up opportunity.17.50 per night for caravan and 2 people.Long-running road may possibly be disturbing.

Louise S: This is a pleasant little campsite, the main field is mown in such a way that you have your own little patch, the rest being left to wildflower which I really liked.Owner is a lovely man, explained everything to me on arrival including location of taps and bins etc. There is some road noise from the adjacent road but it wasn't overpowering and despite this the site still felt peaceful. One toilet and shower which were kept clean during our stay.Shame the previous occupants of our pitch didn't bother picking up.after their dog but I did that for you. I don't have a dog myself if you can't pick up don't have one.Very convenient for Chippenham and Castle Combe is just down the road and for the price per night it's great value for money.

Mike Binning: Family friendly, clean and convenient. They sell tasty chicken eggs too.

Stoyan Georgiev: A peaceful place to observe

terry george arthur charles Fairhead: Peaceful and helpful people, lovely place.. I will definitely be back.. Thanks.

Mackem Forever: Stopped here on our to Devon for one night and it's a little gem of a find. The lady and gentleman who run the campsite could not of been more helpful. The facilities were immaculate and we will be returning. The price of £10 per night is such value for money it's unbelievable.

Cava Shiraz: We spent a few nights here with our caravan this summer. I recognize something in all the reviews. The field is spacious and you really get space, so that you are not on each other's lips. Someone called the toilet and showers rustic and that certainly sounds like it is. Our showers were either too cold or terribly too hot. The owners are very friendly/sweet. The noise from the road is always there, really constant, we were on the side of the road, maybe the other side is better? They say you get used to the sound, but not if you're there for a short time, I think. What we found special was the mobile home with a dog breeder on site and the fact that late at night someone was suddenly eating a microwave meal in the laundry room. Our daughters therefore did not always feel comfortable in the evening. But it is a great place for excursions and we had a few great days there! What we found most difficult was getting away from the campsite, it is a really busy road and there is no driveway, which is exciting with a caravan, but patience is a virtue. If you don't expect too much, this campsite is great!! Lots of space and everything you need is there.

Georgi Yordanov: Wonderful place to rest, on camping 🏕️ - all the ways. Very polite owners. Comfort and clean wet rooms. Thanks for the accommodation!See you again!Playground: Lots of place for playingRestrooms: Clean and comfortableDog-friendliness: Big free place for dogs runningPicnic area: Free to do a BBQ

Lindsay Hudson: Very friendly people who are willing to help with anything. Nice cooked breakfast. Would go again 😁

Wick Farm: what do users think?

Jay Heisenberg: Visited a few years ago buy don't remember prices or if there was electric. No prices online so be great if the owner could let us know the price per night.

Carl Farber: Went 2yrs ago for a collage reunion. Small quiet and basic site. But suitable and clean for a quick overnight stay with old friends.Going back again tomorrow for a two night stay in a tent.Looking forward to it.

Rachel Bell: Loved this place. Had a lovely time. Toilet block is basic but fine.

Blake King: One of the best campsites to go to if you are wanting a cheap and a quiet place to stay, would recommend!

wareb321: Quiet hideaway site with large field and 15 minutes walk along the road to Lacock. Slightly sloping. Toilets. Distant views. Great value for money. Much cheaper and simpler than the nearby Picadilly Campsite.

Steve Hulbert: Excellent quiet family run site close to Lacock, Biddestone and Castle Combe.

Steve Rees: Lovely quiet site, toilet and shower facilities just a converted container unit but clean and usable.

Helen T: Lovely small& peaceful campsite, friendly owners, great price. Plenty of space for children to run around, and fresh eggs from the farm! Will definitely visit again

Rod Scarth: Very friendly welcome, quiet and highly recommended.

Gary Cooper: Lovely owners and a very peaceful site. Facilities are basic but adequate and more than fair for the tiny price, The atmosphere is laid back and the site is perfectly located for Lacock and Melksham .All that stops 5* is the slopey field and lack of hard standing so a sustained rainy spell and it may get soggy!Great budget site

Sandra Cooper: Excellent little campsite. Very peaceful dog friendly site with lovely helpful owners. Highly recommend!

Andy Ballinger: Great location, lovely views

deborah rowley: A nice quiet spot to bring your caravan. Nice and peaceful.

Rough Grounds Farm: what do users think?

Andrew S: We enjoyed our stay on this site, however we went when the weather was very wet so we couldn't actually pitch up on the field. We were parked up on the hard standing which was not ideal as we had temporary electrics serving two vans which was not ideal and the views not as good as the proper field . There was also road works where they resurfaced over night during our stay , which didn't help when trying to sleep. However on balance the toilet and washing facilities were good and the owners were very helpful and friendly. As a location it's good and allowed us to visit many of the local towns. We will probably return but when we have better weather.

Shona Endicott: Always find Rough Ground lovely and the owner is always very helpful

karl smith: Wonderfully quite super clean facilities will definitely be going back

Andrew Dunbabin: Stayed here with my caravan and three tents for RIAT 2023. good site with friendly helpfull staff. Very convenient for the airshow. I can't recommend it any more highly

Henry Raschen: is good for tents, putting in pegs, and driving your vehicle over. Facilities for nearby loos, basins, washing up sink and shower are good too, with proper running hot water. Drinking water tap is by the entrance, and there is a good disposal point for portable loos

Bo Brindle: was incredibly friendly and quickly replied to messages giving suggestions on what to do nearby and letting us borrow a fire pit. The facilities were very well set up and very clean. A brilliant small campsite with a very friendly atmosphere and everything you could need when it comes to facilities.

Alan Phillips: I spent five days here at rough grounds, had the place yo myself gor three of them, lovely and quiet at night, local conservation area next door, wich makes a nice morning walk. Pipping hot water in the taps washing up basin, washing machine urinal, dunny and shower, I especially made good friends with a family of wolf spiders living in the shower, really funny little kritters, would definitely stay there again oh and electric hook up available.

Joanne Elliott: Stayed here for one night for a quick little getaway, it's a hidden treasure with beautiful scenery, friendly animals, and so much to explore around the land,The owners are very friendly and accommodating and we've already booked to go again next month25/06/23

Ian Thomas: As a certified Camping and Caravanning campsite I could not fault it. Campsite was a large tree enclosed paddock with only five pitches occupied. The field would have held thirty. The toilet/shower/washing machine block was clean and new. Recycling bins and general waste were sited by the gate. The camp is surrounded by conservation areas belonging to the owner who recommended the walk through the neighbouring Wood which was delightful. Will use again when in the area. Great campsite.

Emma Duckworth: and the lovely lady

rob mills: Fantastic 6 days in this lovely part of England. We stopped over summer bank holiday, it was busy but fun. Visit and enjoy.

Tim Reilly: A lovely small campsite with all the basics. Perfect if you want to be out of the way, but close enough to walk into town if you want to.Access to the woods for the kids to play in and build dens.Very quiet and chilled ⛺️😎

Nora Maw: Stayed for a few days. Lovely tranquil spot. Would go again definitely.

Adrien Phelps: Great place to stay, still enjoying it now

Hannah Felce: Really lovely quiet campsite. We stayed Sunday to Friday and there were only 6/7 other campers staying in the field. Great facilities, including shower, toilet block, washing up area and also a washing machine. Lovely setting, there is a woodland that they planted in 1999. Which you can walk around and enjoy. Patrick is very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We will be back!

TheParmtree: Such a beautiful area with nature all around. Extremely friendly host family. All the basic amenities you need. Highly recommend. Will certainly be staying here again. Free use of the washing machine is always a bonus

Jamie Shann: Lovely peaceful campsite, suprisingly quiet with great, high quality, clean facilities
