Poulton Hill Vineyard: what do users think?

Jane Brocklehurst: Had a wine tasting on 1/12. Lovely experience. Natalie and Courtney did a great job with their presentation of the wine, details of the vineyard and descriptions of the tastings. Can’t believe how many awards the wines have gained already! Hopefully next time we come they won’t have sold out on the reds, though I was more than happy with the selection available. Also great to see them partnering with other local businesses, we came away with a few supplies. Well done everyone, great to see.

Kevin Hatfield: The wine tour and tasting was really interesting and brought home how much manual effort is required in the art of winemaking. The tour is totally recommended to anyone who enjoys a glass of wine, it was fascinating to learn the steps required to grow grapes suitable for winemaking. Thank you Natalie and Courtney.

Chris Glassock: and discovered just how much work goes into nurturing and maintaining the vines. We were then treated to tasting of four of their wines

Lisa Alexander: This was an amazing experience. Learned alot.Well worth the visit.Great value for the money.

Emma-Louise Shaw: Beautiful wine

James Towner: We enjoyed a fabulous tour of the vineyard with Laura and Natalie. It was really informative and the wines we tasted afterwards were delicious. Well worth joining a tour and tasting when you can.

Alastair Pegg: We went on a Vineyard tour at Poulton Hill. It was a great experience being taken round by Laura and Natalie who were really knowledgable, personable and engaging about the vineyard, the vines and the wines. Tasting was really good as the wines were lovely. Highly recommend a tour and the wine.

Miles King: We really enjoyed our visit and gained a lot from the experience. We never knew there was so much work involved in producing a good wine! Natalie and Laura are both great hosts and the tour was very informative. The wines we tasted were all good and we had a lovely couple of hours. So good we have volunteered for grape picking this Autumn. Looking forward to it

Helen Richmond Photography: We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tour and tasting experience at Poulton Hill. We learnt so much about each different type of vine and how they are looked after across the year with tender loving care. There is obviously a lot of passion and pride that goes into making the wines here. The tasting was great fun and the descriptions of each wine really helped us savour the differences between them. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon. Highly recommended.

Roisin O'Kelly: Myself and my partner attended the tour on Saturday 9th July 2022 following a recent proposal, the vineyard was the perfect addition to our special weekend and Laura and Natalie could not have been more accommodating. The weather was beautiful, the wines were absolutely outstanding, and they provided us with some celebratory roses freshly picked from their vineyard, and kindly arranged for us to drink our bubbles outside in front of the beautiful scenery. Would highly recommend, it also makes you realise how much hard work goes into their work, and they do an outstanding job! Xxxx

Louise Thorp: An enjoyable morning learning about grape growing process, the staff work so hard maintaining the vines but well worth it, the wines were excellent. All staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely worth a visit and the voucher towards purchasing wines makes it good value.

Ray Duffin: I visited the vineyard with a close friend who was over from Indianapolis. I have visited many vineyards before, mainly in France and North America. Although small, Poulton Hills is a picturesque vineyard in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds. The tour was provided by Natalie who manages the vineyard with Laura. It is clearly very well run and Natalie talked us through the work that goes into the vineyard from the planting of the vines to the maintenance of the vines; from pruning right through the growing season to harvest time. It was such an interesting insight into the workings of a vineyard and it’s dependence on the appropriate weather conditions for each stage. They grow a range of grape varieties and even have had the courage to try their hand successfully growing Pinot Noir, notoriously difficult grape variety. The tour ends in the shop with a tasting of four of their wines including a couple of award winners. They were all delicious but particularly, for me, the Bulari sparkling white wine. My American friend was fascinated by the whole experience in such beautiful settings. Highly recommended.

david wallis: Really interesting tour. Natalie and Laura covered the full scope of caring for vines and harvesting grapes. I didn’t realise it was so full-on, and complicated. The wine tasting was also good 🙂. I have done other similar tours and this was easily the best.

Howard Grant: Although closed Natalie Murphy kindly called us as we we're visiting the area, invited us to go in and gave my wife and I some of her time to explain whatThey do there. Fully appreciated. Thank you Natalie.

Jonathan Frewen: Stunning resort, wonderful wines, lovely, very friendly people.

Jennifer Cutler: Fabulous as always

Woodchester Valley Vineyard: what do users think?

Lisa Lawrence: Really enjoyed our wine tasting and tour. Very informative and interesting. I'm not a regular white wine drinker, so it was educational as well as enjoyable.

Hannah Warmisham: I had the pleasure of shooting a beautiful surprise proposal at Woodchester Valley Vineyard last month and absolutely loved the experience. The vineyard itself is absolutely stunning, the staff are wonderfully helpful and bent over backwards to make the proposal extra special. They took our couple on a little wine tour before leading them to their picnic setup, where they got engaged overlooking the Stroud Valleys! I had a little break up in one of the villas for a cup of tea and it was furnished to absolute perfection with big windows overlooking the valley. The vineyard is a ten minute walk from my house and I really do hope to visit again very soon!

Chris Evans: Pleasant wines and informative tastingService: 5/5 …

M L: Outstanding small winery in a picturesque setting near Stroud/Nailsworth. Currently serving some superb sparkling English wines in the style of the Champagne vineyards.

Ian Butler: We did a Premium Vineyard Tour and Wine Tasting. Very knowledgable staff will show you how grapes are locally grown and how all their wines are made on site. Fascinating! Five wines included in the tasting, four sparkling and one still. If you have never tried English wine, this tour is 100% recommended. If you can’t get to Woodchester, search them out online and order a few bottles!

Gemma Allen: We booked Woodchester Valley Vineyard for a wine tasting session at our business for a group of 30 clients. Harriet from the Vineyard was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Our guests found Harriet to be very friendly and approachable and they absolutely loved the wines. In particular the BACCHUS 2021 was very popular and was still being talked about at dinner! I would personally recommend the PINOT NOIR PRÉCOCE 2021 for red wine drinkers too.

Rohin Thakrar: Came here on a wine tour and was pleasantly surprised! Amazing vineyard based on the hills with amazing views, did not expect such an amazing vineyard in the UK. The Tour was also very informative and Elizabeth was great with answering questions and going into detail about the wine. Highly recommend!

Jon Pelan: Food & drinks: Wine tasting afternoon top notch absolutely out of this worldHotel highlights Great view …

Christine Hobson: We had a really interesting wine tasting tour. The wine was so nice we bought some.

William O'Connell: Great staff, great products and a lovely tasting session. Thanks to all concerned 🥂
