Highway Hill Boutique Camping: what do users think?

Emma Horwill: We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Highway Hill. Claire was so helpful and there to greet us and say goodbye. The tent was so cosy and clean as were the showers and loos. The scenery was lovely and the hot tub an added bonus. It was lovely to have 2 other families on site and the farmer next door, called Dave, and his animals were absolutely amazing. What a wonderful experience our daughter had to feed and put the animals in and out each day. Dave was great with the children. A hot sunny day to Avebury and Lacock was good too. A brilliant few days!

samantha payne: We had a fab night stay at highway hill. The kids had so much fun. We come packed ready for a night camp. But surprised how well stocked the place is. We didn't really have to unpack anything. There is a farm on the site . And the kids was given vio treatment and helped get the pets in for the night !We already booked again .Thankyou highway hill

shivam shivam: nice

Carley Turner: Just came back from amazing one night stay with our 8 year old daughter. We all thoroughly enjoyed, amazing location, great view and well worth paying extra for the hottub. Great communication from Ruth who was very helpful with arranging our stay. Our daughter really enjoyed farmer Dave showing her the animals aswell which was a lovely touch. Would definitely like to return in the future!

Skye Sherwin: We had a fantastic one-night stay at Highway Hill. We were really impressed with the amount of space available in the tents, both the tents themselves, which are roomy with super-comfortable beds, and the big ‘safari’ tent. This is reserved for bell tent guests and has a sitting room with a woodturner, fridges and fresh coffee and tea-making equipment. The setting was perfect for our family - the miniature goats and ponies delighted our 7-year-old daughter, there is lots of lovely safe space for kids to run around, and the hot tub was a big draw too. It’s quiet and beautiful, with huge skies and incredible sunset views. It was a much better option than a hotel for a family. We could relax watching the stars with a drink when our daughter was asleep. Equally, would be lovely for couples and lone-travellers. Very peaceful and super-sweet. Also, the location, just up the road from Avebury circle and the White Horse pub was brilliant. We hope to return!

Paul Marshall: cannot wait to return at a later date.

Sarah Colbourne: The most beautiful location, the animals, the bird spotting, the safari tent with lovely sofas and kitchen, just everything was beyond perfect. It felt so special to be roasting marshmallows under the stars, lounging in the hot tub before turning in to a beautiful bell tent with beds, duvets and all the blankets you could possibly need. Honestly the best mini break we've ever had.We immediately wanted to return and start to plan our next stay

Anne-Marie Ratcliffe: Fabulous stay in shepherd’s hut “Chloe” at Highway Hill Boutique camping. Hut well kitted out, wood and charcoal for cooking all provided. Everything clean and well presented. Easy to contact the owners who are really friendly. Nothing seems too much trouble. Can definitely recommend.Rooms: Really well presented with fab use of space. Every detail well thought out.

Bonbon Balloons: Absolute hidden gem! the mOst dreamy campsite! beautiful bell tents with everything you need. Amazing safari tent with kitchen/ living area. All the home comforts!Amazing for children, my kids 5&9 didn't want to leave! so much space & so safe. Thank you Dave the farmer for showing us around they loved meeting all the animals! such an amazing experience! We can't wait to come back again. Thank you it really is a very special place!

Emma Mallinson: Amazing place! Would definitely recommend a stay. There was everything we needed and more. The added little bits and attention to detail was incredible. All areas were extremely clean and well presented.

richard robert: We had the two tents and a hot tub the facilities on offer was very well equipped and clean all the fire wood was provided for us to enjoy a lovely camp fire and all equipment to have a BBQ we would definitely recommend to anyone to visit if it’s just as a couple or a family or even a little getaway for someone’s birthday friendly staff friendly animalsRooms: The safari tent was well equipped with cooking facilities fridge and a log fire sofas and a large table

Postern Hill Campsite: what do users think?

Peter Bradley: What a little gem! Rachel and Chris led us to our carefully selected pitch based on length and weight, gave us sturdy tread mats and said help yourself if you need more! There are squirrels, rabbits, foxes, stoats, birds, muntjaks and RED KITES! Facilities clean and maintained daily, hourly during 'muddy time's! Rachel and Chris are very knowledgeable on the immediate and surrounding areas. Steered us to a local eatery based on dietary needs and price range. Had a most enjoyable family meal at the Green Dragon. Historic places nearby. Booked for 3nights, stayed a week! Could tell you more but why don't you come and find out for yourselves? We will be back and we look forward to our stay. Thank you Rachel and Chris for a most memorable Forest Experience. Kris and Pete, Isle of Eight.x

Oxford Oak Camping: what do users think?

Stephen Moxey: A small but beautifully kept campsite with views of the Uffington White Horse. Showers are basic but work well and spotlessly clean. The owners are welcoming but not intrusive. For Motorcyclists beware the 80m long gravel drive, be careful and drive on the car wheelmarks.I would certainly stay here again.

Tony Bosman: . All good I could the cost. Well located and not far from amenities. Family friendly.

Kazimir Mennie: Stayed here for 2 nights on my way back from Wales. The lady running the campsite was really nice and showed me around plus pointed me in the direction of a nice pub 10 mins walk away. Showers a amazing and kept really clean . The only thing I would avoid was the farm shop next to the campsite. Separate business to the campsite so it didn't bother me I just found the staff in the shop were a bit rude. I wanted to get a few bits to take home but the lady was so short with me I just grabbed what I could and left quickly .

James Griffiths: The owner was very helpful.

Uwe Gölz: What a beautiful spot! Very friendly owner. When you can be off grid for one or two days it’s definitely a perfect choice!

Eric Griffiths: . Some aspects that need attention are the signage to the site from the road and, maybe, a few more showers & loos, Otherwise, for a basic campsite, it's fine. Would use again.

Kengo Hashimoto: good…All the facilities are very clean.I was the only one there. I had the greatest experience ever...I really want to visit again soon! I might bring my friends😆 see yaCome on everyone! Because it's the best! The older sister is super kind and a great person🖐I felt that all the facilities were clean and well-maintained.When I went there, I had a great experience as it was privately reserved...😭I want to gather my friends and come again✌Arigato

Rebecca Broadley: We stayed here on the first night of our camping trip. Perfect! There is a notice in the showers that it can be difficult to get hot water, I have to say though that of the 4 sites we stayed at, this one had the nicest showers, nice and powerful. The toilets and showers were lovely and clean. Also the bacon we got from the farm shop was delicious!! Would recommend highly.

Gisela Blee: . Clean and tidy.

Greg Moxham: Very pleasant site. No frills but everything you need: privacy, clean toilets and showers and drinking water. Also has 2 campfire areas with benches. Friendly owners, good communication and decent prices. The only thing that was lacking for me was a bit of washing up liquid, but I was travelling light and am aware this is usually a "bring your own" staple when camping.

Jack Jarvis: .The facitlies are basic, two toilets and two showers which are clean and pleasant, though due to the isolated nature of the site there is limited hot water. Well recommended, and the owners are absolutely lovely and helpful.

Shadé Clifford: The camping area was great, the toilet and showering facilities were fantastic

Savernake Forest: what do users think?

Charlie Robinson: Beautiful unspoiled natural forest, well maintained paths for walks, great for dogs.

Mark Hart: A lovely forest and a great walk, we spent about three hours walking around and didn't even cover half of it, the doggo loved the place but be careful there are some roads running through it.Visited on the weekend there is lots of free parking but it was very busy and spaces were limited, good footwear is recommended if it's been raining and the doggo definitely needed a bath after his adventures. There are some beautiful sights to see and I will definitely be doing a return visit to see the rest of the place,

DashCam UK: Lovely area for walks. Great deal of choice on which direction you want to go. However sign posts are non existent. Very easy to get dus orientated and get lost

Steve West: Such a beautiful place so peaceful and relaxingNot much parking there so he early.

James Brimble: Lovely for a picnic

M. M.: .From there it's worth the walk up to Dragon Hill, Uffington White Horse and Uffington Castle. The view is magnificent.

Mark Marston: Sadly no more, but still finding great memories.

Garry Drewitt: Lovely campsite friendly staff and plenty of pitches

Nina: which was what we had come to see.

Andrew Wright: Friendly, pleasant campsite

Susan W: Great to stay at. Old school campsite. Can get loud at peak times

Gladys Decelles: Food homely and delicious

Paul Lumsden: Breathtaking views and beautiful scenery

Nic Ayr: Good camping

Van lady: Simple but beautiful

Toni Atkins: This campsite could really do with the portable toilets being spread evenly over the fields so its not such a walk in the middle of the night to the toilet but for a no frills campsite and it being such good value for money you cant beat it. Beautiful back drop and stunning views. Nice to be able to go the tea rooms and order food, cream teas and pizza takeaway etc. We will definitely go again.

Daniel Killing: Massive fields, friendly host

Annie Trudge: Amazing amazing place to camp so cheap, great facilities and the area is just stunning best place I have ever camped hands down just loved everything about it really I would highly recommend taking a visit and supporting Britchcombe farm. They even cook pizza down at the farmhouse on weekends alongside other snacks and food so if you really wanted a lazy camping weekend you don't even have to cook! Drinking water, showers, clean portaloos 👌 dreamy. Thank yo ufor having me Britchcombe il be back !!

The Real Campsite: what do users think?

Ben Cooper: But, overall, a really good experience.

Louise Sherliker: Beautiful view from the huge pitch. So good to have our own flushing loo right beside our tent.We will definitely be back next camping season.Location: 5/5 …

Kestel Van Der Mescht: Super peaceful! Really enjoyed our stay and found the lack of camper vans and cars to be a blessing. Aptly named, a real camping experience.

Oscar Balint: Lovely and beautiful campsite, been here twice now, lovely place. Love how each plot has its own toilet and sink. Top quality campsite.

Coz za: A jewel of a site, nice separate areas, fire pit in each and amazing views. Each lot has its own loo which was clean and tidy.Chickens to get fresh eggs from in the morning and overall lovely and peaceful- definitely suited to couples or families with quiet children, not suitable for groups wanting to sit up late being noisy.Very little light pollution too so assuming sky is clear you get to see the stars 🌟Definitely will be back.

Berj Tekerian: Lovely campsite. Each pitch is very private and has its own toilet and sink.

Katy Potts: One of the best campsites we have ever stayed on and we have camped on lots of different sites! Really beautiful views and location, wildlife - we spotted kites and owls, lovely walks and river swimming close by too and the kids loved the collecting eggs each morning from the hens.Facilities are spot on, private toilet on all 9 pitches and great showers and charging facilities in washing up area. Good signage and well organised parking etc, communication efficient with friendly owners Lindsay and Alan.We took over the whole site for a small celebration of 30 people and it was perfect.Thank you!

Liz Jones: Brilliant campsite with so many well-thought ideas for families. The pitches are huge, the views gorgeous and the facilities which include a loo, sink, drinking water tap, campfire area and a soft ground area for pitching on are perfect. Plus warm showers!

Rob Driscoll: What an excellent campsite this is. I booked to stay in the 'Pop up' camping field and this was great. lots of space and my own personal portaloo too. The pre arrival email was so packed full of helpful information about my stay I felt really comfortable during the current virus situation. Thanks for a brilliant few days.

Rich T: What can I say this site is possibly one of the best iv ever been to toilets on every pich no not horrid toilets clean and nice to use toilet lol water supply on each pitch I cant say I got to talk to the owner but i can say good thought and layout of each pich for privacy and functionality is noticeable and the best bit for me is the view as it is breathtaking over the fields and the when the stars pop out at night as there is low light Pollution is totally amazing now for facilities shower block and the use of a fridge but you need a cold bag with your name clearly marked on it now that's not what most sites offer honestly shop basic items only wood for burning toothbrush and paste and so on totally recommended happy camping

Kitt GS: I can't stand camping but my family loves it and this is as good as it gets in my opinion. 😁

Mark: Wonderful campsite!
